Reasons why do I think Zuko is a walking green flag (according to what I have noticed within the show):
Tumblr media
1. Always feels guilty after doing something that contradicts his principles.
2. Listens to his uncle despite the differences and always turns to him whenever the time calls.
3. Never ever harms the children unlike many of other fire nation soldiers and generals.
4. Lets Uncle Iroh play Pai Sho.
5. Keeps his trauma inside his heart, and even when gets provoked is extremely worried about troubling others with his inner conflicts.
6. Is a fine listener.
7. Lets Appa free and earns Appa’s trust.
8. Doesn’t feel ashamed in working at a tea shop despite being the heir to the fire nation’s throne.
9. Cares for Azula despite her wrongdoings.
10. Is ready to apologize for his faults.
11. Never forgets his duty toward Mai despite his suffering.
12. Is even ready to breakup with Mai to save her.
13. Is an extremely loyal and encouraging friend.
14. Doesn’t hesitate a bit to stand with the right, even if it means challenging his own father or sister.
15. Loves Uncle Iroh so much.
16. Never forgets his mother even after years.
17. Makes sure that the fire nation finds a new way of fuelling their bending other than anger.
18. Preserves the lineage of the dragons and honours them.
19. Hard outside, kind inside.
20. Puts himself at a risk by using fire bending to light up the fountain in Ba Sing Se in the days of wartime asylum just to make Jin happy.
21. Has a very empathetic nature and votes against fire nation waging a war on others in the council of the firelord himself.
22. Is determined to accomplish his goal whether it’s catching the avatar or saving the world.
23. Never tolerates bullying.
24. Is a fine swordsman.
25. Is hot with a hotter voice (thank you Dante Bosco for being the perfect Zuko) and a freaking cute smile.

“Shadow might not be able to picture the expression the way that Vio can, but he doesn’t need to. Frankly, he doesn’t care to. The sight before him is… Everything else falls away. The room, the heat of the lava, the coming fight, none of it matters. None of it means anything at all in comparison to Vio like that . Lounging back into a throne, legs spread in casual ease, like it was made just for him.
Shadow doesn’t think, he just moves. He moves so quickly his form flickers, and he rematerializes right before the throne.
“What do you think?” Vi asks him, smirking down.
Shadow doesn’t answer. Not in words. He just drops to his knees.
“Shadow?” Vi asks, a slight laugh to his voice”

Linktober 2023 – Day 20. Fire/Lava/Heat
Woke up early and managed to finish this one before work 💪
This is of course Darunia, Sage of Fire and proud father of Link (love you for that one Sworn Brother). I didn't plan to add Volvagia but this bad boy kinda invited himself! I guess using dragons as borders is something I do now.
Can you guys guess who I'll be drawing for Water, Forest and Light? 😏

Okay, but did anyone actually play the Fire Temple the intended way instead of just cheesing it to hell and back?
I played the first puzzle as intended, got extremely annoyed at how tedious the mine carts were to use, and then just climbed around inside and outside the buildings and found creative spots to use Ascent, and never touched another one of the puzzles again. 😌 Open-concept dungeons, my beloved. They made it so easy.
At one point I even found a tiny spot where they had missed Ascent-proofing the bottom of a lava room - and Link dove up not through and out of rock, but just out into the middle of a lake of lava. It was hilarious. Wish I had taken a screenshot.
(I'm still not done with the game btw, so please don't discuss any other parts of TotK here. I'd rather avoid spoilers.)

Tears of The Kingdom: Fire temple Tips for Players With Poor Short Term Memory
(gameplay spoilers (but not plot spoilers) below cut)
Hey everyone! Tears of the Kingdom is out and it's a BLAST to play, but as I'm sure some of us have found it can be a bit of a struggle. The difficulty in the game has certainly gone up from playing Breath of The Wild. Particularly in terms of some of the puzzles.
But I'm here to talk about one segment in particular that has caused me (and I'm sure others) some grief and more then a few rage/depression quits: The Fire Temple. In regards to the fire temple, the place is literally a three dimensional maze, requiring backtracking, solving puzzles, undoing puzzles, and an attentive short term memory.
If you are like me and your short term memory has more holes then a mild cheese, then this last part has/will cause you some problems.
Here are some things you can do to help:
Take notes as you go
It might seem like a lot of work, but jotting down a quick note about either where you left off or how you got through a puzzle can really help you here.
Hit every switch multiple times and see what happens
You are gonna come across many switches in the Fire Temple, and if you ever get stuck a good thing to try is smacking those switches and seeing where they take you. Sometimes this means you will go around in circles, but it can also show you a new place or area. More then seeing where the switch takes you, you should pay attention to what the switch itself is doing.
Take a break from the temple
As anyone with poor short term memory knows, sometimes the best thing you can do is walk away for a bit. If your short term memory is acting up, explore a different section of Hyrule for a while and come back. It may give your short term memory enough time to become something closer to mid term memory. And there's nothing worse then getting to the point where you're too upset or angry to keep playing. Taking a break from the temple can help you avoid getting to that point.
Try using Ascend
One of the new abilities granted to Link in the game is the Ascend Ability, allowing Link to pass through the ceiling and into chambers above. If there isn't an obvious route to take on the ground, try going up.
Use a guide, use it often, and without shame
Guides are wonderful tools for those of us who can't remember things in the short term. And while there is no doubt many of us who want to make it through on our own, guides definitely have a place in the world of gaming.
There is no one way to use a guide. Use it when you get stuck, or use it to go through the entire temple. Or use it in a combination of these methods. There's nothing wrong with getting a little outside help, no matter how much you need.
Happy Gaming!

Linktober Day 16 - Dragons!
I love Volvagia so much omg. His design, the theory that he was the Goron Guardian Deity, his whack a mole fight, that Ganondorf was able to resurrect something of Goron legend, that he was originally from The Adventure of Link... 100/10 dragon, absolutely love.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo EAD, 1998) is certainly one of the - if not the - most iconic games of all time. It is for sure one of the most beloved and most commented game from our era. So, maybe I'm being a little bit repetitive with this week's poll. No problem, once nostalgia is about repeating the past and trying to reconnect and re-signify our memories and experiences. There are more than 12 dungeons in TLoZ: OoT if we count the side-dungeons and the final castle. But for this survey purpose I will restrict only the Temples throughout Hyrule that Adult Link had to defeat in order to reach Ganon's Castle. Hope you consider as many aspects of the dungeons as possible, like the general feel or "theme", the puzzles, the battles - especially those with the bosses, and other details.
Forest Temple - here we have four spirits (Sisters Foes), and a labyrinthine dungeon structure. The first sword battle with Stalfos, the Fairy Bow, and the encounter with Phantom Ganon with his black horse.
Fire Temple - here we need to release some Gorons which they're being serving as dinner for Volgagia. Flare Dancer battle is very iconic mini-boss and we have the Megaton Hammer and the before mentioned Lava Dragon boss.
Water Temple - dozens of vertical puzzles involving the water level, a high difficult level and requires much patience with the Iron Boots. But it is very rewarding when everything is put in its right place. Boss is an amoeba called Morpha but it's OK. Can't forget the mythical encounter with Dark Link.
Shadow Temple - the most obscure of them all. It's dark, spooky and everything in this particular dungeon resembles death and doom. Enemies are Dead Hand, Skulltulas, Red Deads, Stalfos... The soundtrack is frightening and the boss, Bongo Bongo is a classic conga player.
Spirit Temple - the only one Link can reach as kid using the Ocarina of Time. It's a dusty place with several architecture references to Arabic culture. There are very interesting battles with and Iron Knuckles and the final boss is an spectacle, the withc sisters Kotake and Koume and their transformation Twinrova.
