My name is Stephen Min. My parents named me after Stephen from the Bible who got stoned to death. Although I do not want to get stoned to death, I respect the fact that he was willing to die for his cause as a martyr. I also think Stephen is a unique name in that not many have this name, and if they do they often pronounce it like Steven, rather than Stef-en. Also, my last name Min means a lot to me because it ties me to my Korean ancestral roots and my culture. The fact that both my culture, present, and future are intertwined into my name is what bring everything together.
