Why does your husband dress like Fouche? You should burn his clothes
I would never burn my husband's clothes! That's terribly rude!
Also, what's wrong with dressing like the Duc d'Otrante?

@tiaramania Do you have any information about the Fouché d'Otrante tiara? I did not find anything on your website, searching by stone.
It’s on my to do list!  I’m just about to start updating and expanding my Swedish tiaras so hopefully this one will be posted sometime this summer but here’s a preview.
Tumblr media
The tiara was made by Koch circa 1910 using amethysts and diamonds set in platinum for the Fouché d'Otrante family.  They are Swedish nobles but they are a part of this weird thing Sweden has called unintroduced nobility because their title is from Napoleon and they came to Sweden about the same time as the Bernadottes so even though their title did not originally come from Sweden it’s recognized by them.
Tumblr media
The tiara was part of the ‘Precious Gems: Jewellery from Eight Centuries’ exhibition at the Stockholm National Museum in 2000 and it was listed as belonging to a private collection so it could still be with the family or it could have been sold at some point.
Tumblr media
Here’s the tiara be worn by Hedvig Madeleine Fouché d'Otrante, Duchess d’Otrante, (Prince Richard of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg’s maternal grandmother) in the 1920s on the left and by her daughter-in-law, Brigitta Fouché d'Otrante, at Prince Richard and Princess Benedikte’s wedding in 1968 on the right.  It’s a really beautiful tiara and I wish is was worn publicly more because well designed amethyst tiaras are in short supply.

Hi everyone and Welcome to another Tiara Saturday!!
This week release will be a Diamond and amethyst kokoshnik Tiara, an amazing piece from circa 1808, is called the ‘Otrante’ tiara, a dukedom given under Napoleon to his Minister of Police, Joseph Fouche. As with the Bernadotte family, the Otrante family moved to Sweden, and this tiara was last seen worn by Countess Birgitta d'Otrante at the wedding of Princess Benedikte of Denmark in 1968.
