Bistrot Jurer
13 → Favorite Location (Main Base) - Super Sentai
Bistro Jurer
A French bistro owned by Kogure, that is the base for the Lupinrangers. The bistro is used as a front for the Lupins while they search for pieces of the Lupin Collection. The Lupins also use their positions at the bistro to gain intel from the Patrangers, who frequent the bistro.
The Yard
A small area behind the bistro. The area is mainly utilized in two heavier scenes, in which Kairi's resolves are called into question. One point is to question his resolve regarding doing anything in order to retrieve a piece of the Lupin Collection even at Touma's expense. The other point is when Kairi shows how his relationship with Keiichiro is making it more difficult for him to keep a clear head and focus on his goal.
The Kitchen
Located off the main floor, in view of customers. The kitchen is basically Touma's space as he is the one tasked to do all the cooking.Touma was a chef at a top restaurant prior to the mass disappearances, and is shown to find joy in cooking, even though he claims otherwise.
Dressing Room
A room in the bistro where the Lupinrangers change into their Lupin outfits before following leads about the Lupin Collection.
Kairi’s Room
A nearly empty room upstairs. The room has few personal items, having only a photo of Kairi and his brother to indicate that it is his room. The lack of personal items aligns with Kairi not feeling that he has a home and shows how the Lupins must be ready to flee at any time.
Dining Area
Located on the main floor, this is the area seen most frequently. The Lupins serve their customers here and discuss their plans as Lupinrangers after closing. When open, Umika is in this area most, as Touma spends most of his time in the kitchen and Kairi sneaks out whenever he can.
The dining area is also where the Patrangers frequently interact with the Lupins unknowingly. It is due to the growing relations with the Patrangers at the bistro, and even expanding outside, that the Lupins struggle throughout the series and most memorably in the final arc. An important thing to note is that Umika and Touma are shown to think of the bistro as their home, while Kairi does not. In the end, Umika seems to have the strongest attachment to the bistro and the memories made there.

Cozy Bitro Booth - Enabled for Restaurants!
I was building a French bistrot and was disappointed that the lovely booth that came with the kit was not enabled as a restaurant dining spot.
So I cloned it on one of the Dine Out booths, with all the swatches and tags from the original Cozy Bistro item. It requires Dine Out and will show up under the filter for that pack.
I'm also including a hider for the Cozy Bistro booth, so you don't need to have a duplicate object in your catalog.
DOWNLOAD COZY BISTRO BOOTH ENABLED FOR DINE OUT
DOWNLOAD COZY BISTRO BOOTH HIDER
(SFS, no ads)
Also sorry for the crappy screenshots, this was a a quick play-test. Aaand apparently one of our most beloved creators is apparently working on an add-on for this kit so we will be able to build the loveliest bistros ever! 😉
This might become obsolete if EA decides to fix the issue in the future, in the meantime hope you enjoy this little addition to your game.

La passante de la Place des Vosges/ The Passerby of the Place des Vosges: in praise of Caitríona Balfe
I have recently discussed, in as much detail as possible without becoming completely boring, S's memoir Waypoints. It is, no doubt, an interesting strategic step, aiming to buy much needed time and respite from unwanted fan attention.
But if there is a memoir I would probably read in a very different, almost sentimental way, that would be hers, not his.
We have an enticing idea of the way she writes, with this lesser known essay published by the totemic NYT just a day shy of her birthday, in 2017: The First Time I Left Home (and Fell in Love), which you can read online right here - https://shorturl.at/uTX12. It is a short, dense piece with a deeply personal, even sentimental, view of Paris in autumn and spring. Something very unusual for the feisty, secretive, almost paranoid C we all know and love (admit it, you do: fair's fair). It immediately grabbed both my attention and highlighter.
Writing about Paris, especially from an Anglo-Saxon/American perspective, is a very tricky affair. So much has been said and done, from Janet Flanner's priceless Letters from Paris and Paris Journal, to Anais Nin, to Edmund White, to Hemingway, to Orwell - just to name the ones that immediately come to mind. In this particular case, we'd be dealing with a nice PR fine tuning detail, with a relatively short lifespan, aiming perhaps to reach a more sophisticated demographic than Twitter banter or a three minutes long Q&A about the current season's antics. But a wonderful detail, nevertheless.
The year is 1998. A young 19-year old Irish model wannabe just landed in the chaotic brouhaha of Roissy Airport and the first contact is brutal, language being a considerable barrier. But before that, we are treated to a masterful bistrot snapshot, with a cheeky, self-deprecating sense of humor. I mean how perfect is this?
Tumblr media
Quite a contrast to the dream version back home:
Tumblr media
Touché. All the moody young Frenchmen are named Pierre, C. All. Of. Them. As for watching far too many French films, there's always been something very Nouvelle Vague about you, Jeanne Moreau and Jules et Jim & all that, and I have to say this is what I found immediately endearing. I am not talking about Claire Fraser: it is you, emphatically you. The kind of impeccably dressed woman one can find pretending to read Le Monde at Le Café de Flore's terrace in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The kind of self-evident, celestial creature whose high heels are never heard on any pavement (what is your secret?). Late Jane Birkin didn't even come close, C., mark me. However, red lipstick stains look way better on the rim of a nervously half drunk cup of noisette coffee: but then, that is me.
It was not at all like that, of course, but then something happened just across the street from the Saint-Eustache church, at Quigley's Point, a long gone Irish pub I vaguely remember. Circa 1998, our own boisterous squad used to play darts and get plastered on cheap draft beer and that undignified, syrupy manzana Basque liqueur (idiots, I am telling you, but it was very cheap) at The Bombardier, on the Place du Panthéon, just across the Seine:
Tumblr media
Thick brogue, a quick laugh, kind eyes and blonde hair. An interesting combo, for sure. No further comment except well, this is very personal, isn't it? You've said it yourself: sometimes (fun fact: always) the really important people have nothing to do with fantasies. But we know, C, we know.
And then, suddenly, it all falls into place: Stendhal would talk about a crystallization moment. It is that split-second when everything becomes very clear. A pact of sorts occurs and all barriers are lifted. For C, it happened in one of the perfect places of this planet, spare perhaps the Piazza del Campo, in Siena:
Tumblr media
No doubt, by tomorrow evening at the latest, I will be crucified by Mordor, but this made me think of that - different setting and context, same type of seminal moment. Draw your own conclusions:
Tumblr media
(SRH, Waypoints, Day Four: The Hard Road)
Important things happen, too, Place du Panthéon and this moved me to bits, even if this was not a happy ending. So shamelessly glad it wasn't, by the way:
Tumblr media
For (and forgive me for ineptly tinkering with your words) "It’s true, you never forget your first love". And for that man on that random pavement in LA, that will always be you, passerby of the Place des Vosges. The wonder you are, despite anything else: it is perfectly irrelevant.
Jacques Brel says it best, in what is almost a prayer:

CHAMPIGNAC CC and STUFF PART 1
Before the upload of Champignac, let's talk about the CC used in the World ...
Let's face it, there is a little bit more CC used in Champignac than in our other Sims 3 Worlds, because we really wanted to create a French ambiance for a French flavored world :)
Don't worry : except 2 or 3 things, we still use the same creators stuff aka mainly ATS ( Around the Sims 3 ) and Cyclone Sue ( from TSR ) for the build part. And of course, our own stuff which is not huge :D like our Rabbit Holes you may find here on Tumblr ...
Tumblr media
Before any further, the fantastic towers you need to get in order to fully enjoy Champignac come from MTS ( Mod the Sims ) and have been converted from The Sims Medieval by Votenga ( MEDIEVAL TOWERS & BUILDINGS ) you may find there :)
Tumblr media
I hope you'll enjoy discover all these gems in Champignac ;)
our "Stadium" is the Football Club by Norn @ MTS and tumblr
the Junk Yard is based on : Old Art Deco gas station yard by flora2 @ MTS :)
le Marché Bio ( Bio Market ) is based on Farmers Market by efolger997 @ MTS
the Supernatural Tavern is based on Old Tomes bookstore by Vera J @ MTS
the Bistro of Champignac is based on Rattlesnake Juice by bellakenobi @ MTS
the Vampire Lounge is fully based on Pastor John's Church by Diwtay @ MTS
the beautiful City Hall of Champignac is a simplified version of a community lot by Jeanpass ( here on tumblr )
the Museum of Champignac we named : Villa Medicis is a creation of Petalbot ( Palazzo Venezia )
Let's talk now about the CC ...
As you already know ;) ATS made a lot of French stuff for the Sims 3. In fact, it's even THE Place to find everything you need to create a French flavored World :D so, here everything we used in Champignac

i cannot wait for the parisian bistrot kit! i was sooo happy to see some french-inspired items, as a french myself. so it inspired me a huge Parisian restaurant and I cannot wait to complete it.
(on a gameplay note : i was so happy to bring her at her first date since a very long time! i noticed that they both like each other after awhile and I was soooo dang happy)

Rewatching Guardian (because I can, and why not) and just noticed this text in a storefont on episode 8, in the scene when Old Chu and Little Goa discover the dead underworlder (sadly not in the taxi scene).
The writing in reversed on screen, but flipping it the text is in Bad!French.
beaucoup de villes dans lemonde, Il existe tant de bistrots dans une ville, alors qu'elle entre dans celui-là
It translates as:
a lot of cities in theworld, there exists so many bistrots in a city, while she enters this one there
I love Bad!French in Asian media. Always a treat.

I am still kinda new to D&D but I have discovered it has the same trap as being bilingual (French) in a French restaurant in the United States
Let me explain:
I go to Le bistrot hyper-français à la mode américaine oui oui très sexy très chic oh là là mon ami
I regarde le menu
I pick a thing
The server comes over
IF I pronounce the dish with the authentic, accurate French pronunciation, I am met with “Huh? What?”
If I pretend “Teehee I’m just a monolingual American like you, kind server. I’ll have the craw-SSAAAAHNTTTS* please”, THEN the VERY CLEARLY ANGLOPHONE server inevitably comes back with a flawless
“Oh? Les croissants? Oh oui oui. Our usual maître-pâtissier is out this week but…"
And then I want to take my escargot tongs and-- 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥
The D&D equivalent goes like this:
Them: So tell me about your character.
Me: Uhhh…human fighter. 20 HP, I have a longsword and--
Them: But like what does she look like? How does she do her hair in the morning? Who’s her best friend? What's her trinket?
Me: Aw shit. I didn’t do any of that stuff yet! I'm so embarrassed!
Last week:
Them: So hey tell me about your character.
Me: She was born far, far away and settled in a coastal town to study as a cleric, but the town was burned down by marauders. So she wandered off into the mountains, and it was THEN that she took up the barbarian life, and she vowed that one day she would get revenge—
Them: No. I mean what’s your AC?
I can’t win. Get my escargot tongs and roll for damage.
*I'm using croissants as the example so the joke is more accessible. Don't @ me.

Little snippet
I was tagged by @greenblueish and @larryyouknow so thank you for that 😊 I’m not going to give a snippet from up next fic (which will be out next week I think) but this is one from the ficlet I’m writing for @lousatellite ☺️ I halfway through writing it.
This is not edited or betaed so please don’t mind the errors if there are some. 🙏🏼
When Louis steps out of the Gare du Nord, his eyes are already shimmering with the night lights of the french capital. He drags his small suitcase behind him and stops in the middle of the large pavement, turning around to admire the magnificent building.
“Wow” He breathes out.
He quickly takes out his phone from his bag, not able to wait any longer, and looks around for the right spot. His eyes land on a small flange on the train station’s façade and he swiftly walks up to it. He puts his suitcase against the wall, but still keeps his bag on his shoulder, as he sets his phone on camera mode. Right behind him is a very cute French bistrot, and Louis thinks it’s perfect for his first video there.
He arranges his sweatpants and Adidas hoodie, careful of the logo being visible, and leans close to his phone to fix his feathery fringe. He looks around himself, a few people still passing by and looking at him weirdly, but Louis is used to it and doesn't really care. He loves his job. So he adjusts his bag on his shoulder before tapping on the recording button.
“Bonsoir everyone!” He exclaims as he waves, taking one step back from his phone, his face still quite close to it, “Yes, I finally made it to Paris, and I am so excited!” He beames at the camera, “And look at that comfy outfit I’m in,” He takes another step back from the wall, and another one, so that he can show his clothes better. Not really paying attention to what or who is around him, “It is just the perfect thing to-”
He doesn’t even have time to finish his sentence, when someone bumps into him while he takes another step backwards, drawing a surprised squeak out of him, his hands instinctively coming up to the stripe of his bag to hold onto it. He almost trips over his own feet, but thankfully, there is a strong pair of hands grabbing his elbows to keep him steady.
“Oops,” A low and velvety voice says next to him, “I’m sorry.”
I don’t know who has done it already so I’m tagging @pocketsunshineharry @parmahamlarrie @alltheselights @allwaswell16 @falsegoodnight @berzerkshires @jacaranda-bloom

As a French person it is really WILD to see Hongjoong in that typical parisian bistrot setting. I've been crying a lot today. Mostly because I'm proud of him and the fact Olivier Rousteing himself invited him to see the new Balmain collection and just. He's in my country and as stupid as it sounds, it's like he's just close to me?
Don't mind me I'm emotional.
