So I was re-watching Fudanshi Bartender because I suddenly remembered it existed

Only to realize that this guy is also in this new BL drama??!!

I've been following that (Solliev0) on every social media after stumbling upon the news a few weeks ago. I recognized the other guy, Someya Toshiyuki (from Marginal#4), but didn't recognize the other actor (Wada Takuma).

But then I checked his Twitter and it clicked!

This is amazing and hilarious to me! Playing a hardcore fudanshi in one thing and then playing in an actual BL drama ^^

❣️ The Warp Effect - I’m not gonna lie I knew exactly that this show would have me in a chokehold from the moment they released the pilot trailer and I was right lmao. It’s phenomenal. It’s fun, it’s chaos, it’s spicy. exactly the kind of anarchy I was craving jdhfgk. New is doing a very good job at portraying Alex, which is surprising because he was part of the reason I was hesitant about the show as I’m not his biggest fan. But I’m so fond of Alex and also him and Fah as Jean have an A+ chemistry. Army is my bitch lmao I love him so much and the 3 of them contribute a great deal to the vibe that makes the show work. The side couples are also very interesting and mostly props to Sing for giving his all in this type of plot because that shit requires some courage lmao. It’s a textbook Jojo series and his signature way of not beating around the bush is very visible here. Some people said they find the hyper-focus on the sexual themes juvenile but I disagree. The exaggeration of the plot is a great way of pointing a finger at these themes and breaking a stigma; especially at GMMTV. I love it. 10/10 so far. 

👎🏻 Remember Me - This show has taken a very disappointing turn about halfway through. The stories all had a very sweet and interesting start and I liked the slow pacing at first but now it’s just draggy and annoying. Everything has become 80% slower and the scenes are repetitive and tedious. At this point I'm only watching the GunGolf story and even that has parts that I can’t help but skip. Their breakup was very strange and unnecessary to me and I have no idea how they plan to fix it in the remaining 2 episodes. What a shame. 3/10.

I somehow stumbled upon Fudanshi Bartender no Tashinami earlier. Only found the first chapter so I read it and LOVED IT!

Then I found out they made a drama?? 

so I just watched that. Why only 2 eps?? I could have watched 100!!

I’m so happy I found it out of nowhere! Had one of the shittiest weeks ever and watching that just put a huge smile on my face. 

I’m not good with Japanese actors as I am with seiyuu (I used to watch many dramas/live actions/stage plays in the past but not anymore). 

But I still recognized the guy who played Hinata in the stage play ^^ And seiyuu Yamaji Kazuhiro also appeared there! What a handsome ojisan! 

I laughed so many times!! The MC fanboying over everything BL related was EPIC! 100% relatable! XD

Highly recommended if you’re a fujoshi/fudanshi! ^__^

Live-action Drama Adaptation of BL Comedy Manga Fudanshi Bartender no Tashinami to be Aired in Japan

    A live-action drama adaptation of Naruko's BL (Boys Love)-themed comedy manga Fudanshi Bartender no Tashinami (Accomplishment of Fudanshi Bartender) is set to be premiere on Fuji TV in Japan on May 30, 2022. The word "Fudanshi" means men who enjoy works depicting romantic relationships between men, the male version of "Fujoshi."

  The manga has released two volumes from Ichijinsha so far, and has been highly praised among women since it was first published on the web, with word-of-mouth popularity on various review sites. The drama adaptation was already aired in Taiwan in December 2021 and met with a great response.

  The protagonist, Soichiro Hibiki, is a bartender at a bar in Shonan. He is usually cool and mysterious, but he has a secret he doesn't want people to know: he is a "secret fudanshi otaku," and he is always trying to make the customers who come to the bar for drinks into his favorite coupling, secretly fantasizing about them and worshipping their precious relationships. 36-year-old Takuma Wada, known for his performance in various 2.5 Dimensional play, such as Kunimitsu Tezuka in The Prince of Tennis musicals, is cast as the fudanshi protagonist.

Hello there! I have to admit, unpopular as it may be, that I DNF Bad Buddy. Idk why. Right before they ran off together to have some time to themselves I just sort of… lost interest? I do know how the rest plays out, thanks Tumblr, and don’t feel like I missed out on anything, ha. Don’t get me wrong the series was ok but I didn’t fall victim to the obsession and hype, just didn’t do it for me. What are some series that you DNF?? Did you ever learn how a series ends and feel like you need to back and give it a chance or remain confident in your decision to DNF?

I DNF a lot these days. I usually hear how the end. Or sometimes i just jump in and watch the final episode.

You should feel fine dnf’ing anything that doesn’t entertain you. This is entertainment, after all.
