The king's face was twisted in mix of disbelief and rage. The audacity of this… this wretch!! "So you truly intend to usurp power from me? You wretched boy."

"…I cannot usurp power that already belongs to me. You have, by your own negligence, given away your power. I merely intend to take the mantle on my own terms, and therefore your seat remains secure for the time being. I had no intention of stealing anything from you, father, but even now you must agree the only thing that makes you king is my desire to see and understand more of the world."

"…you're keeping me here… as a placeholder?? I'm not fucking puppet!!" he seethed.

"…neither am I, but I suppose it is too late for you to realize that as well…" Sakura sighed, standing up. "I am sorry that we could not have a better conversation after so much time apart, father. I had hoped… for a more fruitful outcome, but perhaps that was never meant to be. Have a happy spring and new year, heika."

"Do you really think you're not being used as a puppet? You really think that bitch and her sister would give a damn about you if you weren't a princess??" Fujimaru seethed. "You know what they do, don't you?? Taking down entire governments and placing who they deem worthy in those places? Even their own damned city. You think that blue bastard got his position by any othe--"

"Aymeric was placed as Lord Speaker by the will of the people and the councils therein because he was the one to relay the truth of his father's lies to the world, and worked as hard as he could to right those wrongs. Even now…" He turned his face toward Fujimaru then, a stern expression like the man had never seen. "Aymeric is a good man, a wise ruler, and I will not stand by and let you sully his name. As for Ivy and Tiffanie… as for my sisters--"

"Your sisters!!" he laughed. "Oh gods, you think they view you as family?? You're simply a toy to be used for gain, child!! Nothing more--"

"YOU--" It was the first time in a while the princess raised their voice, and then reigned it back down. "You… are the only one who sees me that way. You always have, as soon as I was born: not good enough, not a woman, useless for anything except keeping up your appearances. Used as a distraction so you can garner a better deal for the country, using me as an excuse for anything that goes wrong and less than an asset or footnote for anything that goes well! Tiffanie and Ivy have been more of a family to me than you could ever be… I have grown as a person… as a ruler, due to their patience and love, as opposed to your disdain and disregard. You have no right to talk to me of being a toy to be used for gain, for that is how you have always seen me. I suppose I should perhaps drop my own illusions. Toys have no father, after all. Simply a creator, and that certainly does not make the toy beholden to them."

He turned away toward the door again. "My sister is to be wed in the temple some time after the Spring Blossom Festival. As king, and as one who views their perceived image over anything else, it would do you well to come at least for the ceremony and congratulate the couple, but if you decide that you are not well enough to attend, feel free to use my presence as your proxy. It will benefit you by not having to pretend to care, and us avoiding the displeasure of seeing you. After this conversation, I wish not to see you again until I come to take the throne. Be well, Fujimaru-heika." He hated it... so much. The man left no other choice. There was no way to ever gain a father out of him... it had been true long before Sakura could come to terms with it.

"Bold, aren't we?" Fujimaru sneered coldly. "Careful, Sakura-hime, that you don't scatter as soon as you bloom. Blossoms only last for the blink of an eye, after all."

Sakura stopped, his expression unreadable. "For your sake, heika, I will ignore those words." That's all he said before leaving and closing the door.

Got around to finishing the FGO Camelot Movies: and it was a rollercoaster of emotions & really good. Bedivere as a whole was our fave part of these films. His journey & his love 4 his king hit deep. Not only was he chosen for his heart by his king but he settled into our hearts as well. These movies may have a couple flaws but as a whole, these r great, emotional and action packed films with a timeless character's journey and memorable characters and story in general 💙

"That's alright with me, Berserker. The terms aren't too far from what I already do, anyway." She smiled a little. "Welcome to the team- I'm Ritsuka. Is there any questions you might have for me?"

"Berserker, Morgan. I have heard your summons and answered in kind. Yet, Queen I remain— I shall not serve, but aid. I have no Master, but I shall treat you as one would an equal. Are these terms to your satisfaction?"

technically Avenger Monte Cristo is not Edmond Dantes cuz Edmond Dantes was soothed by Haydee but Avenger was a Dantes who was never so becalmed and so Avenger Monte Cristo never had a comfort in the world but then we came along and gave him a sort of balm in our kindness we were his Haydee when the class of Avenger would not allow him to keep the kindness of the real Haydee

Nn?? what??? oh. damn i forgot to explain that Edmond Dantes (Alive in Typemoon series) is different from Edmond Dantes (Dumas novel) and from Edmond Dantes (Avenger; Servant)

Fujimaru Ritsuka isn't Haydee and he specifically states that in his voicelines though? Haydee is the one who calmed his fires down and allowed him to let go of his vengeance and hate. Ritsuka walks the same path the Avenger had gone through. To hell and suffering, guilt and unwanted blood in their hands, both are viciously determined in their own ways, but their nature is what makes them different. The Avenger is a flame. The Master of Chaldea is symbolic of a star.

The Avenger never had a comfort in his existence because Haydee is not by his side (cant feel, cant hear, cant see anymore). Fujimaru Ritsuka, because of their nature and their soul became the Avenger's "one and only comfort in this world". Fujimaru Ritsuka wouldn't be the Avenger's star or accomplice if Ritsuka wasn't who they are. The Avenger wouldn't be Avenger anymore also if he decided to let go of his hate and vengeance. But Avenger still holds onto that, lets himself manifest into that Class to fight by Ritsuka's side.

I had a thought of Fujimaru learning that he's making less and less decisions and realizing it's Sakura making decisions for the country while far away and a very belligerent Fujimaru like

"I AM STILL KING OF MAKOTO!!! THAT WHELP HAS NOT BEEN CROWNED, AND YET YOU GIVE HIS WORDS WEIGHT AND STATURE AS IF HE, HIDING AWAY, IS THE POWER IN THIS NATION!! I AM STILL THE POWER OF THIS NATION!!"

and it makes me shudder a little. Stay drunk and unaware Fuji pls...

The council is very shrewd, after all. It's a gradual shift in responsibility, and by the time Fuji notices it'll be quite lopsided.

They were happy to see the princess excited, the children looking at one another before hearing that the woman was indeed Sakura’s mother; thus making her Li’s grandmother. And it made Li a little wary but remembering how it was the lady’s husband that he needed to be careful around; not her. 

Getting up, shyly, he ran to his mother and bowed politely to the queen of Makoto. “O-O-Obaacha? Nana?” He asked cutely as Jade grinned.

Whilst the boys and Fenghua remained with the queen of Makoto and Sakura, Yun was still rushing about before word reached him that his uncle had the king. Walking to them, he chuckled quietly at seeing how nervous the king appeared to be. “Uncle, come now, no need for hostilities.” 

Yet.

“I do apologize for Uncle Sai, he’s rather protective of Sakura as am I.” 

The woman blushed softly, a wide smile coming over her face.  “And who are you little one??”

Sakura beamed with pride.  “This is my son, Li...”

“Ah, so the king already had a son... and he’s so precious!!! May I??”  Kiku had her arms out to hug the precious child.  Sakura gave the boy a smile, nodding.  “It’s okay, Li.  Mother is very kind...”

For the Makoto king, however, it was not as sweet as an event. This... hell dragon?? Just what the hell did he walk into?  he knew he should've pretended to lose the invitation.  Even if his Kiku would be cross it wouldn’t be for long he was sure.  This... Sai Gong character seemed ready to burn him alive, and for what?? For raising that boy?? And better than he had thought, if he was about to become an empress. If not for the stress that child put him under for so long he would even say he was proud...”

But then another character came to him, and he sighed in relief before realizing who it was.  Oh.  It was the Dragon king.  For being as old as time itself he wasn’t expecting such a young face.  “Ah... I see.  I was quite hoping to see the princess before the ceremony... but it seems I was separated from my wife instead.”  He did his best to bite back the annoyance of it all.  What else did this man want from him?? He already got what he wanted, did he not? A bit of gratitude would be nice.
