This 3rd of October got me thinking about FMA(B) again and given how recent One Piece's LA got out I just think , man, One Piece fans you're so DAMN lucky, like so damn lucky, because overall even if not ALL One piece fans loved the live action it's basically common agreement at this point it's fucking amazing and even more so given the reputation anime live actions have in the community so back to my point, you're all so damn lucky cause I'm looking back at Fullmetal Alchemist attempts at live action and man ... Fmab is my favorite shonen so it's needless to say I wished fmab got half as a good live action as One piece did, I mean .... Fmab deserves it but anyway, this isn't by any means made to dismiss one piece nor one piece live action I just thought, man I wish Fmab got something so sick and cool

Yeah it was well made

conclusion: It was okay, some parts were good others not so much, a bit to fast maybe and way to much Tucker...but I can live with that. Some characters were a pretty flat and its not nearly as good or complex as the Manga or FMAB

but its allright, I mean Fullmetal Alchmist is a realy big series and its just normal they couldnt fit everything into just two hours, but it was beautyfully made with graet pictures taken from the original. And maybe well get to see a sequell with some other characters cus I realy missed them much.

I am absolutely FASCINATED by how simultaneously detail oriented and completely disordered the 2nd Fullmetal Alchemist movie is. Like there are minor scenes that are panel-to-panel accurate to the manga. For an exclusively Japanese cast, the care and attention that went into the wigs/makeup/costume design are incredibly impressive, like the entirety of Mustang’s squad is picture perfect. On the other hand, Ling popping up for the first time during the train takeover? Mei having the introduction he was supposed to? It’s absolutely wild but as campy as some of it is you can tell real care was put into this. Also Ed was cast perfectly and even though he is decidedly not played by a teenager, that 15yo rebellious asshole energy is captured PERFECTLY. Say what you want but I consider this a masterpiece tbh

Ok where to begin.

I like most fma fans was excited to see the live action and was really hyped up about it and looking foward to seeing who the cast was and how the characters were protrayed. And had the benefit of the that somehow Netflix wouldn't Fuck this up like they did with death note.Unfortunately I was proved wrong.

The way they had set it up made it hard for nonfans or ppl that are unfamiliar with fma to follow the plot especially when they didn't really establish the boys origin properly and unfortunately that's only the beginning. Now I'm not gonna bore you with the details but all I can say is that I was disappointed by everything bc of just how messy it was. But that's just my opinion. If you don't like it the you can watch it yourself and figure out how you about it. ( sigh) thanks for listening I feel so much better

Human kind cannot gain anything, except by- NARF! The opening monologue from Fullmetal Alchemist, except it's Pinky and the Brain. 

 Pinky's voice created in Uberduck, everything else done in After Effects. Rendering this video literally killed my laptop - it was its last act and I guess it died doing what it loved, assisting me in making silly things.

I just realised that now I've made a tentative return to tumblr, I actually have a place to post half the stupid fandom-y things I make!

When I watched the English dubbed Fullmetal Alchemist live action movie I made a compilation of clips that made me laugh... until I got bored. But rediscovering it again many months later, I still find sleepy Ed, drunk Winry and Cool Kid Al very funny.

I decided my incredibly indulgent Fullmetal Alchemist fanfiction needed a cover illustration. BEHOLD! 

Everyone knows that Edward Elric died. He died a long time ago. In Xing, he's a footnote in the career of his surviving brother, Alphonse Elric, the Great Alchemist of the West.

When someone decides that the Fullmetal Alchemist needs to return to the land of the living, it's up to Alphonse to deal with the soulless facsimile of his brother which is created.

Technically set post 2003 anime, but with a lot of love for and some borrowed characters/concepts from Brotherhood/the manga.  Contains: Spooky homunculus Ed! Plenty of EdWin and AlMei moments! Philosophy! An airship! Xing! An unusual fix-it for the 2003 anime!
