I served Tea this afternoon, and had a friend swing by on his way home to join us.

Steubenville Woodfield tea-and-toast sets, Partylite "Wee Three" terracotta snail, Sleigh Bell Bistro gnome cookie jar. The sugar in the bubble jar is, in fact, heart-shaped sugar lumps.

Curried chicken salad sandwiches, Sticky Fingers Scone Mix with lemon glaze, and Aldi Sandwich cookies.

Tea is Chinese black tea packed in a dried mandarin orange shell, special ordered online.

I've been looking at ceramic flower bowl sinks since I saw a post in the Functional Decor community. Like this one:

Thing is, I don't actually like those bowl sinks in real life; they're pretty but a pain to clean. Plus, my living areas may be like a fairy cottage, but my bathroom is where the mermaids live.

Now I have goals!

Tumblr communities I like

Listen I know they're controversial but I think many of them serve a purpose that tags just can't fulfil. So here are some of my favourites! Bit biased since two of these I created and most of them I joined very very early and want to keep growing but it's my list-hush!

Starting off with one I made, since I've posted about it before. It's less toxic than other wedding communities online (I'm lookin' at you ring shaming) and works better than all the wedding tags that are absolutely FULL of adverts. Very fun, very cool.

A roleplay one next, I've been less active in this since it got bigger but the concept is so cute and it's so much fun! I'm not sure if this would be perfectly achievable without communities but I feel like it's more clear that anyone can just hop in and start doing random shit than in other roleplay spaces. Way less serious and more silly!

Another one I started, since there's not really a tag for this and choosing to 'start' a hashtag is ✨basically impossible✨. More of an aesthetics community, this one is for things that look like décor but actually do something, since my house is full of plushies and trinkets and I need to stop buying things that don't serve a purpose to me! It's good if these things pop up on your dash but wouldn't fit the aesthetic of any of your blogs.

This one I wasn't early to and I don't actually pay much attention to but I love the concept. Again just a less toxic, hateful place than other fundie snark spaces on the internet. You'd think it could just be a hashtag but the fundie snark, fundie and fundieblr tags are weirdly full of Sims 4 fundie content, lmao. Not great if you're only interested in real life fundamentalists. The community has a focus on celebrity fundamentalists though there is some general discussion of fundamentalism.

And finally: part roleplay, part memes, part genuine history. Anything to do with the medieval so long as it is STRICTLY silly and goofy. This wouldn't really fit into any one tag so this community is more like a blog but anyone can post on it! Since I joined this one has exploded in popularity but not in posts so it's really exciting whenever I get a notification that someone found something that fits in here.
