Development Diary 1

One of the fun aspects about Euphony's development, is the amount of ideas and concepts that the team keep on coming up with. The project lends itself to many fun and unique ideas, especially when it comes to the design. But as production continues, many of these ideas end up getting cut for one reason or another.

Therefore, we decided to showcase some of the exciting cut content. Here is some sketches of giant robots that could've appeared in the background. They would've either stood tall amongst the buildings, or climbed over them. These were created to showcase the diverse range of robots that exist in the world of Euphony.

The first one is essentially a walking crane. With the ability to travel to any construction site, with ability to even walk over buildings. The second one is more stationary. It's a gigantic robot that would clean large swaths of rubble, clearing the way for other robots. And finally, the third one is a cleaning robot, that could travel through streets and up buildings. It's many appendages carrying different cleaning tools.

I just uploaded my latest video, and this time I'm diving into the controversial realm of Phantom Crash. Brace yourselves, because I have some strong opinions on this so-called 'cult-classic' that might ruffle a few feathers! 😅

But sometimes, we need to take a step back and objectively analyze whether a game lives up to its acclaimed status.

The Sealed Sacrifice

Dawn broke through the thick blanket of mist, casting a melancholy light on the colossal figures of Longshot and the Crimson Watcher. Silent and imposing, they served as eternal reminders of a past struggle, their stillness echoing the sacrifices made in a harrowing battle.

Within the heart of each Mech, the mortal remains of their pilots bore silent testament to their final acts of valor. Once the beating heart and the vigilant eye of these behemoths, they had given their all, trading their lives for the safety of their world.

The Longshot's pilot, renowned for his unerring accuracy and calm under fire, had fired the crucial shot that shifted the tide of the battle. However, the power needed for such a shot was immense. The energy backlash ripped through the cockpit, maiming him and irreparably damaging the systems. His life ebbed away within the cool metal confines of the Longshot, the silent giant cradling its fallen hero.

In contrast, the pilot of the Crimson Watcher, a master strategist with a spirit as bright as her Mech's single red eye, had made her sacrifice in a different way. She intentionally overloaded the Watcher's core, creating a massive shockwave that stopped the enemy advance. The resulting surge was catastrophic, her body caught in the violent maelstrom within the cockpit. She died instantly, her steely gaze forever etched in the eerie glow of the Watcher's red eye.

People moved around these silent memorials, their voices hushed in reverence. The sealed hatches were a testament to the pilots' ultimate sacrifice, their bodies entombed within the Mechs, their spirits forever part of the silent giants. As the mist swirled, whispers of their bravery flowed with it, their stories forever bound to the silent figures of Longshot and the Crimson Watcher - the tombstones of humanity's saviors.

The Agori are a feared cult of warrior mercenaries. The highest honour in Agori society is to bring glory and resources to their sect. To better aid them in this task the Agori make extensive use cybernetics to increase their combat prowess, with the most extreme and noticeable being the full body replacement of the Agori Warsuit. Heavily armed and armoured the Warsuit is part walking tank, part life support system. Deep inside the Warsuit there will is a living warrior surgically merged with the armour. Sustained by the Warsuit the Agori warrior within can live for centuries, bringing glory and riches to their sect through unending battle.
