The Christian Nationalism has skeeved me out, and the Representative PBS is talking to (whose name I didn't catch and whose face I don't recognize) is going in even harder on it.

I'm a Buddhist. These are people who do not think I should be allowed to be here, and to hear that hammered home again and again and again…no. I'm done.

I think this has set a new record for me reaching the point of noping out from a GOP event.

If you haven't caught on by now, I'm done with GOP Convention liveblogs after last night's Christian Nationalism fest. I've spent my evening up until now watching panels from last weekend's Les Mis Barricades Con, with friends, and have no intentions of tuning into what will be an inevitable litany of abuse towards me and my loved ones existing in this country for the rest of the evening.

I have theater tickets for tomorrow night, and will be there for almost all of the prime time coverage then, maaaaybe catching some of the tail end on the drive home. I may or may not listen to NPR during said drive. I also might just tune into one of the local music stations. Regardless, if y'all want to see a liveblog, there's a bunch of media sites that are doing that, but I'm going to nope out of self-harm for the evening.

I wonder how many people it took to convince Trump that he couldn't have Vince McMahon speak tonight, too. Because YOU KNOW he was also on that list of main eventing the GOP Convention with fucking Hulk Hogan, Kid Rock, and Dana White. Someone definitely had to argue that Vince McMahon is being actively investigated for sex trafficking by the DOJ and sued for sexual assault and I'm guessing Trump probably asked, "So why can't he speak tonight?"
