After having seen this movie a million times 🙈 we were finally able to go to one of its filming locations in London... ❤️😍 and we were like kids on Christmas morning 🤣
In addition, of course, we read all the comics from The Old Guard created by Greg Rucka who also wrote the film and the one to come.  😁
And how can I tell you that we are waiting for The Old Guard 2 like the messiah 😂
Do you like the movie too?

Beggars Arkive, in conjunction with the Estate of Mark Lanegan, announce the 20th Anniversary rerelease of Mark Lanegan’s acclaimed album Bubblegum.
Tumblr media
Mark Lanegan Bubblegum XX Box Set
Beggars Banquet
Beggars Arkive in conjunction with the Estate of Mark Lanegan, are honored to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Mark Lanegan’s acclaimed 2004 album Bubblegum. On August 23rd, we will release Bubblegum XX - a set of releases that include a remastered double LP edition of the original album and a 4XLP/3XCD/Digital release containing 40 remastered tracks, 12 of which are previously unreleased.
The limited-edition Bubblegum XX 4XLP box contains a 64-page hardcover book with essays by Troy Van Leewuen, Josh Homme, Chris Goss, Alain Johannes, David Catching, Greg Dulli, Duff McKagan, and Brett Netson along with studio notes and previously unseen photographs by Steve Gullick. It includes Bubblegum, which has been cut as a double LP and remastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road. It also includes a remastered edition of Here Comes That Weird Chill (Methamphetamine Blues, Extras & Oddities) to which three bonus tracks have been added. The fourth LP contains demos and unreleased tracks, comprised of outtakes from the Bubblegum sessions and tracks recorded, produced and mixed by Troy Van Leeuwen in various hotel rooms with Mark singing and Troy playing all the instruments. The set was executive produced by Mark’s former manager Brian Klein, who worked with him during the Bubblegum era.
The demos and unreleased tracks are beautiful to hear. Mark’s voice is front and center, and as Josh Homme notes in the book, “Mark’s early solo works are undeniably powerful. They’re sombre, fragile, breath-taking, beautiful and they’re more real than everyone else’s.” Of the thirteen tracks, seven of them are outtakes from the Bubblegum sessions. “Union Tombstone” was a song that Mark wanted Beck to contribute to, and when it was sent to him, he was working on his own album, so it was set aside. Beck added vocals and harmonica to the track this year.
The last six tracks on the album were recorded, produced and mixed by Troy Van Leeuwen in various hotel rooms with just Mark singing and Troy playing all the instruments. About the sessions, Troy said… “So these hotel demo sessions were basically forgotten...When I heard the news of Mark's passing, these memories started rushing back to me. I searched through my archive of drives and somehow magically was able to open up these sessions. I thought to myself, “That NEVER happens.” These ideas couldn’t be more fresh out of the tap. The original rough mixes are a real time capsule that stands up to the 20 years that have passed. It’s a true gift from Mark to those of us who love him and his unvarnished expression of beauty. With every listen, I am humbled and honored to share his gift with you.”
Mark had been demoing songs for a new album, and he was booked to record at Abbey Road. It was a long-time dream of his to record in the legendary London studio, but since he never had the chance to do that, it's fortuitous that the remastering for this release took place there, handled by Geoff Pesche. Mark had never been satisfied with the original cut of Bubblegum, so we are honored to help make his dream come true posthumously.
When Mark Lanegan departed this world in 2022, he left us with a stunning & wildly eclectic body of work that includes two memoirs, and a musical output of seven albums with the Screaming Trees, thirteen solo albums, and collaborative albums and singles with folks including Queens Of The Stone Age, Soulsavers, Gutter Twins & Isobel Campbell and many others. We are all thankful for what we have been left with and honored to celebrate this beautiful album.

This is going to be unhinged. LOL But, Damangela drought has brought the brain to weird places. So, Smosh got a new HR guy named Nate at the end of 2023. In one of Damien’s late November/early December streams, he mentioned that he was not having a good mental health day but he still wanted to stream (because streaming makes him feel better) so he called HR to ask if it was okay because they would be able to clearly see him doing it. He said at the time they said it was okay. But, afterwards is when he kept talking about having more time coming up.
My theory…HR fucked him over. I don’t know why people think HR is there to help you. They help the company. I think Damien may have been thinking about how to ask how to reduce his workload but HR probably “strongly suggested” he go freelance and convince him it was best for both him and the company. HR isn’t going to get rid of him completely because he didn’t do anything that egregious and he is a popular personality. Now, Damien is busy and it seems it worked out but I don’t think this was entirely his choice. On top of that, this was around the time that the jokes between Angela and Damien breached HR territory (“thank you mommy. Sorry for calling you mommy . We’ll talk about it in HR” “I know Damien’s!”). I think HR may have asked to separate them after a while. LASTLY, on top of that, Damien and Angela always ask for jokes to be removed so maybe they don’t put then together to prevent that as well.
Is there proof of this? Absolutely not. Is this unhinged? Yes. But, thanks for creating a safe space for this. At the end of the day, I think we’ll see more videos of them together but I think it will be in the structured video formats (ex. TNTL, SwordAF) so we’re less likely to see their off the cuff remarks to each other, which sucks because I love those.
Side note: I love Smosh but it’s a business. I think the new HR guy and the Pressalike/Smosh leadership coming together passed its observation stage and moved on to its change stage. I think some crew members felt this as well and this why we’ve had some people leave - Rachel, Heidi, Greg (sound guy), Kimmy, etc.
OOo interesting goss you have, I didn't know they got a new HR guy.
I'm a little confused as to why Damien would have to ask Smosh HR for permission to stream? unless you meant he was asking to go home early/not go into work to stream instead?
As unhinged as your theories could be, I think there's merit in them.
I could see them suggesting to Damien to go freelance (Idk about pressuring him into it, maybe just presented it as a good option for him) because of how much work he's been getting. He does talk about how much he really loves doing voice over, I totally see him wanting that to be his main gig, and wanting to have more time for it.
"the jokes between Angela and Damien breached HR territory (“thank you mommy. Sorry for calling you mommy . We’ll talk about it in HR” “I know Damien’s!”). I think HR may have asked to separate them after a while."
I want to say this seems a little outlandish, but I can't help but focus on how little we've gotten them in videos the last 2 months. EIOYI last supper and a TNTL being the only things they've been in the same room for, seems a little odd? (if we want to include the Mythical cookbook party and the recent VidCon group photo that only makes 4 times the last 2 months they've been publicly next to each other)(and they both appeared in the "Guess Shayne's Favorites" but weren't together) So I honestly can't totally write out that it could be on purpose..
It just feels a bit out of place, they used to be in a large portion of uploads together and then all the sudden we're getting almost nothing?? I get him being busy outside Smosh but he's still in some uploads? like how come Angela has been playing more video games (And getting really good at them) while he's been playing card games? seems like a subversion?
Not to mention how often people around Angela (and Angela herself) bring him up. I'm pretty sure most videos with Ang recently they've mentioned Damien?
"I think we’ll see more videos of them together but I think it will be in the structured video formats (ex. TNTL, SwordAF) so we’re less likely to see their off the cuff remarks to each other, which sucks because I love those."
Yeah, I think so too, it seems like they've pretty much finished doing all of the bi-weekly(?) uploads (like BAF:L, SwordAF) where we knew they'd both have to be there.
Sad times rn.. I just hope Spring has better things in store <3 (and maybe they start up a new playthrough of something? 👀)
"thanks for creating a safe space for this."
You're welcome! I don't think y'all understand how awesome it is to have this space. I get all kinds of different perspectives and new info all the time! I feel like this blog is a newspaper with all the asks about stuff that's going on! like we have our own hub for info about anything them! I want to thank you for sending in asks! <3

THAT IS SUCH A GOOD POINT! We have had a lot of cast/crew leave!
Oh to be a fly on the wall~!
(Side note- SOUND GUY GREG LEFT!!??? HE WAS MY FAVORITE he was like an easter egg in videos! IM GONNA MISS HIM)
Thank you for this Anon! There was a lot of really good information in this! I'll be keeping it in mind for the future! <3

Any domestic tomgreg headcanons ??
domestic tomgreg my LIFE omg okay so;
when it comes to cooking, with greg; awful at it. terrible. but tries anyway. this video i think is like, perfectly greg attempting cooking for tom JDSKJDS. with tom; great cook we been knew. loves to cook for him and greg and it's always delicious. sometimes. Sometimes he'll let greg help, as in pass me that spice, taste this for me how is it, does it need anything? gradually he lets greg maybe chop an onion or something, but greg is clumsy and cuts himself easily, so it's a rare occurrence, tho when it Does happen tom will immediately turn off the heat/stop activity of cooking to suck greg's finger until the blood stops and greg is mesmerised and they get all horny and shit bc they are Not Normal about one another. obv the trope of 'fucking while the pie cooks' applies to them too.
greg is more often the little spoon when it comes to sleeping/cuddling [i base this somewhat on the fact that twice we see when greg is trying to sleep in the church and on that plane i Think to the hunting trip, he wraps his own arm around himself for self comfort]. he loves loves loves to have tom's strong warm arms around him, it makes him feel safe and it helps him sleep. occasionally they will swap when they turn in the middle of the night. greg is an ass against ya crotch titty in ya hand kinda guy. that's the placement he'll always end up in if he's spooning tom lmfao.
they will always bathe/shower together unless like, there's a very good reason not to lol. pretty much every time they'll just get in together, but if for some reason they wanna take turns, greg will just be pacing ranting all the goss and peeping every so often as tom suds his tits lol [and who could blame him!!!] then tom will get out and greg will do his usual stare trying not to jump him bc hhhhhhhhhh and try to hide his half chub, stumbling towards the shower/bath and getting in and tom is just observing him with a raised brow, enjoying the view, maybe aiming a smack at the ass if he can get one in and appreciating the squeak it gets, even though greg really should see it coming by now. tom will literally just Watch greg with a towel around his waist and sometimes greg miiight put on a bit of a show but they'd get a bit silly with it, greg humming the strip song and doing a silly dance and getting a grin from tom but it's sexy too like ugh. they're still best friends. sigh.
sometimes they will just read together in their leisure time, or greg will go on his phone, or fall asleep with his head in tom's lap being petted by tom's free hand. comfortable silences abound.

In honor of the current trend in horror fandom circles of classic monster Mashups here's a list of my favorite depiction of all the classic monsters. Disclaimer: This list is subject to change based on my mood. _____________________________ Dracula - Tied between Gary Oldman as Dracula in Bram Stoker's Dracula and Frank Langella in Dracula (1979) original theatrical coloring preferred. TV Dracula - Castlevania. __________________________ Frankenstein's Monster The 2004 Halmark mini-series of Frankenstein starring Luke Goss. It's the most faithful to the book. _____________________________ Werewolf The Company of Wolves. And if that one is too surreal than The Wolfman (original 1941 version). TV werewolf- Tie between George in the UK version of Being Human and Randi in She-Wolf of London. __________________________ Mummy
Christopher Lee in Hammer's version of The Mummy and (weirdly) the one from Asylum's Monster Mash. He reminds me of N'kantu AKA Living Mummy from Marvel comics.
________________________ Invisible Man Claude Rains or the lesser known Memoirs of an Invisible Man _____________________ Creature from the black Lagoon / aquatic creature The Asset from The Shape of Water and Abe Sapien from Hellboy (2004) _____________________
Witch: The Sanderson Sisters in Hocus Pocus. Katrina Van Tassel in Sleepy Hollow (1999 movie). _____________________ Sorcerer: Faust in the 1926 silent film Faust and Dr. Craven in The Raven (1963) ______________________________ Ghost: Captain Greg from The Ghost and Mrs. Muir and Patrick Stewart as The Canterville Ghost (1996) ________________________________ Zombie: R from Warm Bodies and Billy from Hocus Pocus. (There aren't too many zombies with distinct personalities). ______________________ Ghoul: Billy Cole from Fright Night (Original 1985 version) ___________________________ Headless Horseman: The Hessian in Sleepy Hollow (1999 movie). __________________ Mad scientist: Dr. Moreau in The Island of Doctor Moreau (1977 version.) _________________ Dark fae: Maleficent in the movie Maleficent.

Damn paywall! i ran out of free articles. care to spoil it for us as to the culprit?
Oh sure! Here you go - and here's a link to the actual substack.
Anon plz — but the true identities behind popular Instagram gossipmonger DeuxMoi have just been spotted on Substack. Internet culture reporter Brian Feldman’s newsletter BNet had been dormant for a year, presumably lying in wait for a worthy cause, until today, when he published an in-depth investigation uncovering the probable identities of DeuxMoi’s anonymous founder-moderators. (Full disclosure: Brian Feldman, the digital Hardy Boy in question, previously worked at New York Magazine. Now on with the goss.) Back in March, it was reported that the founder had signed a book deal with William Morrow to publish a novelization of their experience as an undercover gossip doyenne. HBO then optioned the nascent book, called Anon Pls, for an HBO Max series with Greg Berlanti. These two deals, along with numerous controversies about the account publishing celebrities’ speculative personal biz, make the people who run DeuxMoi figures of note. “DeuxMoi has chosen to tie their individual identity to their increasingly public line of work,” writes Feldman. “I support people telling their own story — which is not mutually exclusive from also believing that, at this point, the identity of whoever is telling that story is, in itself, newsworthy. DeuxMoi is a public figure.” So who might that figure be?
A couple of girlies who at least at one point worked in fashion: Meggie Kempner, granddaughter of a famed socialite, appears to have founded it with Melissa Lovallo, who allegedly still runs it. Maybe Kempner and Lovallo are more or less who you pictured when you clicked on DeuxMoi. Maybe the news is disappointing, because it isn’t some shadowy Gossip Girl man or someone actually named Cricket Lopez. Either way, an internet detective just had his J. Jonah Jameson moment, and that’s as good a story as “YOU DIDN’T HEAR IT FROM ME BUT I SAW A SPROUSE TWIN WALKING A DOG IN WILLIAMSBURG AND HE WAS MAKING HIS GIRLFRIEND HOLD THE POO BAG” or whatever.
Feldman cracked the code through entirely publicly available information, rummaging through years of posts and tags on social media, and finding an old YouTube video of the two of them in a pretty weak “disguise.” Because DeuxMoi began as a fashion blog in 2013, there was a ton of this sort of information out there just waiting to be compiled. Even so, Feldman had to fill his article with disclaimers that what he is doing is not doxing, because he only pieced together public, basic information like names and professions, and that because DeuxMoi is a public figure with increasing influence, it’s a matter of public interest to know who’s running the thing. It’s depressing that such disclaimers feel necessary after BuzzFeed journalist Katie Notopoulos uncovered the identities of the previously pseudonymous founders of Bored Ape Yacht Club and received an absolutely toxic crypto-bro pile-on. It remains to be seen if gossip girlies will do the same.

Thoughts on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Season 4 Episode 11, "I'm Almost Over You"
When I first watched this one, it seemed like kind of a throwaway episode. It's from Nathaniel's point of view, we get nothing of Rebecca and her journey toward stability and fulfillment, and on top of that, most of it is a fantasy, so as far as the story goes, very little happens.
However, Rebecca has been imagining herself singing in different genres for years as a way to recognize, process, and work through her feelings. And now? Nathaniel has this in common with her. It's something that could potentially share if they get back together. You can see it on Rebecca's face when they talk at the pretzel shop at the end of the episode. Rebecca sees that Nathaniel is growing and changing, just like she is. Knowing he's working on himself might make her feel less alone as she seeks healing. He wouldn't just be her cheerleader, he's be able to empathize.
Plus, there are some great little tidbits in the episode:
Even though it's a fantasy, Greg only drinks water. They don't sacrifice his sobriety for a bit.
Every time Jim butts in with the latest goss, his delivery is hilarious and perfect. He calls out the romantic comedy plot holes and tropes, and it's not really a departure of his character in previous episodes. It's just kind of Jim magnified.
Greg's outfit gets douchier in each scene. Blazer. Blazer plus pastel yuppie sweater. Blazer plus yuppie sweater plus additional yuppie sweater.
Greg stereotypically negging Rebecca: "Shut up, you're so hot!"
Maya, in the tradition of "She's All That" and "10 Things I Hate About You," doesn't have a mother. "I never had a real mom, just a dead mom."
Only caught this because of closed captioning, but when Nathaniel and Maya are sharing personal stories, Nathaniel's ends with, "He said, 'I don't want to be your dog anymore.'" So he had a dog, and the dog left him, and it was a talking dog. I swear the writers threw that in just to see if we were listening.
The big presentation. Just all of it.
George just exclaiming the name of a sport when anything happens.
The "The Devil Wears Prada" subplot with Tim.
Everyone at the bar knowing the lyrics to the end of "Gratuitous Karaoke Moment."
So yeah, it's a long way to go for what is ultimately very little character development for anyone, but it's still fun to watch.

Thinking about established tg and how they would be the most annoying clingy couple on the planet. Tom needs to touch Greg At All Times or he will simply pass away. Any gossip Greg hears immediately gets reported to Tom. No one is allowed to say anything vaguely mean to Greg or Tom will throw his coffee at them or fire them on the spot (or both tbh). All of waystar knows when they are fighting bc they make it everyones problem and dont get anything done. People quickly learn they have to be on the same business trips or else Greg pouts the entire time or Tom looks ready to start biting people. This makeout everywhere like its a waystar is a high school hallway. They are annoying as fuck and everyone hates them (but they dont want them to break up because they will be even more annoying)
oh my GOD this is so sexy. yeah yeah yeah no fuck that’s exactly it. always touching greg’s arms, shoulders, hands, ruffling his hair and lingering his fingers in it a bit too long, running them through, uncomfortably-long-for-everyone-around-them gazes where their pupils blow wide, greg is absolutely back to irritatingly hopping all over tom’s dick a la s4e01 and tom is all too pleased to lean back into him. greg moving to tell him the goss and tom leaning right in to hear the whispered bitching, sometimes greg does it while in tom’s lap, sometimes they’re crowded together in a small hallway, greg’s lips brushing tom’s neck and they are so desperate to fuck right there but they can’t, just yet anyway. need to find somewhere private. use that old mailroom/shitty office greg used to have whenever they wanna play. tom jangling the keys to it in greg’s face like he’s asking greg if he wants to go walkies.
oh yeah god people better watch their mouth when they talk about greg, that’s the ceo’s baby boy they’re talking about. as you say it’s a fireable offence, and word spreads quickly you don’t fuck with the boss’ slam piece, you don’t even dare whisper shit about him, else you get the boot. YEP and like, even when it comes up greg is already talking about being on the trip and some other worker might be like, but sir, you’re not required, you’re not on this trip, or something, and greg is just like. anyway 🔪❤️
yes gawd the kissing in hallways i ggggggg thinking heavily about them… FR they’d make it everybody else’s problem, they all know how annoying as hell they’d be if they broke up, already when they’re fighting it’s hell, so they have to put up with them being attached by the dicks and hopelessly in love and together. so good.
