okay, here are some thoughts... sorry this took a while first we had a disagreement over what birth order means, this ended with co-mod telling me to google "birth order" to see that apparently it means someone's age in relation to their siblings (oldest, youngest, middle, etc). so i was wrong whatever. & sorry in advance for the long post!!

chris: only child. ik some people write him with an older brother and that seems very sherlock holmes, but he just seems so only-child-like to me lol

robert: he's got a Number of siblings for sure, either youngest or middle. like, he seems like he's either spent his life getting hand-me-downs and being coddled/looked down on as the youngest, OR spent his life being passed over as a middle child. (random thought on this, robert also tries to leverage having a big family into roles, he's out there going "chris, i cannot believe you would cast max in the role of dylan when dylan is literally my brother's middle name" over any potential connection.)

sandra: youngest. she has youngest child privileges... we have some other thoughts on this but not for here.

annie: one sibling probably close in age? she seems like she's used to being one of a pair. maybe a sibling who was very successful in school or sports or something, so she's used to being a little overshadowed, though she always says she doesn't mind it...

trevor: only child.

vanessa: co-mod said she has only brothers & i actually really like that idea. probably somewhere in the older section of the siblings?

dennis: either an only child or youngest/younger with a big age gap... in my head his relationship w robert is very brotherly as well ngl

jonathan: reverse of dennis, either an only child or oldest with a decent age gap! (the thing that got me thinking about this was a fic on ao3 that i can't find where the author gave him a much younger sister named lottie and i thought it was super adorable, i think it makes sense with his character, he seems like he's used to being alone but i also think he could easily take on more of a caring role)

max: only sibling. he probably always wanted siblings, though, and if max and sandra are a couple he for sure delights in getting to see her family!

Some things to note BEFORE you sign up:

All Participants! There is a Code Word hidden somewhere in the Rules page. Please read through all sections carefully, as you will need to provide the Code Word to complete your sign-up form. There are a few changes that have been made for the 2025 season, so we highly encourage every participant to read all the way to the very end!

All Artists! Please note that your sign-up is also the first check-in this year. Before the end of sign-ups Artists ONLY are required to upload a short summary description as well as any pairings, ratings, and other descriptive details for your project. If you have a rough art draft available, you are welcome to upload that as well, but you are only required to submit a summary and description at this time.

*Stanford’s voice seemed to falter, ever so slightly, as if the weight of those words pressed heavier than he let on. The air thickened with an unspoken melancholy, the kind of silence that drapes itself over a room when something too significant to casually mention slips out. His gaze shifted downward for a brief moment, as though the memory itself was too sharp to hold onto for long.*

*It was a strange inheritance, a title and tools passed down by a man Ford had admired but felt perpetually unworthy of. A doctor, like him, but not the same—a figure from another world, another life, another planet, one who had been so much more than he could ever hope to be. The dying man had left him not just the iconic sonic screwdriver, but the enormous responsibility that came with it. A responsibility that Ford, with all his brilliance and ambition, had never quite felt capable of carrying.*

*The war... that damned war. It still haunted his every thought, every action. Though only human, Ford had fought alongside those who transcended time and space, witnessing horrors he could never unsee. His desire to help, to fix things, to be the hero had thrust him into battles far beyond his own reckoning. And for all his efforts, what had it left him with? Blood on his hands, the blood of billions, and a heart heavy with regrets that couldn’t be washed away.*

*The sonic was always in his hand now, a reliable tool, a companion in its own right. But back then, it had felt foreign—an extension of someone else’s legacy, a promise he wasn’t sure he could ever fulfill. The TARDIS, too, loomed large in his life, yet he never fully claimed it as his own. It was too sacred, too personal to simply adopt. No, that was the Doctor’s ship, and while it had been entrusted to him, Stanford could never shake the feeling that it wasn’t truly his to command.*

*He wasn’t a timelord, and he knew it. He would never be like the man who had bestowed these gifts upon him. Yet, the title of ‘doctor’ was one he carried, even if it sat awkwardly on his shoulders. Back on Earth, it had meant something different, a reflection of his academic prowess rather than the savior of worlds. But out here, in the vast expanse of space and time, the title had taken on a weight that still made him feel like an imposter.*

*And yet, here he stood. Not quite a timelord. But close enough.*

"Okay, who are you exactly?"

*The doctor snapped, his voice laced with irritation. He wasn't in the mood for games.*

"Not the most subtle at following, are you?"

*He stood firm, sonic screwdriver in hand, poised to react if things escalated. His jaw clenched, and his mood was far from forgiving. He had enough on his plate—cosmic manipulations, complicated relationships with other versions of Bill, and now, being stalked by strangers.*

"I'll implore you to scatter."

*Stanford warned, his voice hard as steel; sharp as a blade.*

"It would do us all less trouble today to not cause a scene. I'm not feeling magnanimous today."

*His piercing gaze cut through the air with a force that made it clear he wasn’t here to play. Whoever they were, they had better think twice before pushing him any further.*
