Dating Gabriel Waincroft Headcanon

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- You didn't know what he did or who he was, at first - You only knew Malia because of her profession and the notoriously known, Five 0 due to a robbery that happened when you first started at your job - You usually worked in a small diner because it reminded you of a simpler time (it was also 50's themed which you loved) - But sometimes you did a little side business for Five 0, just simple data entry and whatnot, nothing too big - Gabriel walked into the diner one day for the hell of it (and not just because his buddy's told him he should go because of this cute waitress/ waiter) - If there was ever a cliché, this was it - He waits for someone to take his order and then you come over and he swears he's never seen anyone else as beautiful/ handsome - He knew he couldn't ask you out right away because you'd turn him down - He waited and kept a routine, coming by twice a week for six months - It was easy, calming even once you figured out what he wanted (order wise) - When it comes to dating you can be a little oblivious which is something Gabriel caught onto early enough - When he saw how stressed you were, he offered to take care of you (kind of wanting to make you his sugar baby) - The only thing you accepted out of his offer was dinner at the diner (it was safer for you this way) - When you two became official, he made sure to keep you out of the limelight - Things started getting harder to hide when he had more run ins with Five 0 - He came to you, (basically) bleeding his guts out, forcing him to tell you about his life - You didn't see him for a couple of days (the longest days of his life) - He came in after hours and waited, wanting to hear what you had to say - He told you all about his life (like you asked) and about his daughter (showed you her picture and everything) - You met her mom and built a decent relationship with her (letting her know you're not trying to replace her in anyway and want what's best for their daughter) - A little part of him thought you were crazy for wanting to stay with him, but he doesn't know how he would have survived if you didn't - No one from the team knew who you were dating or involved with Gabriel - Then came his death and the funeral was very small, quiet enough that only his crew came - Then Five 0 needed to save your guys daughter and that's when they found out - After saving her and bringing her back home, you decided to quit working at the diner - A few months later came your death, only for it to be a rouse to the world - You took over and kept the diner (discreetly) and Gabriel's business up and running while taking care of your daughter and son (a boy, who you adopted after being named guardians by one of his crew members who died a few months before your fiancé died) - It wasn't until your kids were older that Five 0 found out about what'd you been doing because time caught up with you and enemies were always lurking (they wanted you to be avenged and Five 0 were the only ones they knew could do it)

“Hey mom.” (Y/N) greeted her mother through the phone. She had decided to leave with Gabriel, but first she had to say goodbye. 

“Hey baby girl.” 

“Momma I gotta tell you something. And I know you’re not going to like it.” She took in a breath trying to calm herself, she knew that she’d probably never see her mother again. “I‘m leaving.” 

“What do you mean you’re leaving?” 

“With Gabriel.” 

“With Gabriel?!”

“Momma I know you don’t like him. But I love him.” 

“He’s a criminal (Y/N) you can‘t do this.” 

“I know. But I guess I’m in love with a criminal. And I know it’s wrong. God do I know it’s wrong. But I couldn’t care less.” 

(Y/N) heard her mother’s cries through the phone. “He’s killed people, just for fun (Y/N) he’ll hurt you.” 

“He’s not gonna hurt me momma. He loves me. The love we have it isn’t rational.” Her mother’s cries got louder as (Y/N) talks. “Momma please don’t cry. I’m gonna be alright. But I just can‘t deny it, okay I love him.” 

Gabriel Waincroft walks into the room, “Everything’s ready when you are princess.” (Y/N) nods at him and he gives her a nod before he leaves the room. 

“Momma look I gotta go. I love you.” (Y/N) hung up the phone as tears fell down her face. Throwing the phone onto the ground she smashed it. Walking out of the hotel room, she wiped her tears. 

Gabriel walked up to her, concern itched on his face, “Are you okay?” 

(Y/N) leaned up, pressing a kiss to his lips, “No. But I will be.” She then walked towards the car.
