#UH OH - IM FALLING IN LOVE AGAIN

you were simply just his assistant, nothing more, nothing less. so the one time he brings gabriella to work and notices how maternal you look once you get to know her, why did he think that he was falling in love again ? single dad! miguel o'hara x fem! reader "gabi,, baby." he mutters, holding her close to his chest. "pleaseee! it's only this once, promise!" the six year old begs in his arms, "i jus- i just really don't wanna go to school."

miguel sighs, looking down at his daughter, muttering a quick

"okay, fine". ~

and that's how miguel o'hara, the spiderman 2099, was found hand holding his curious daughter as he lead her through the endless halls of the spider society. the silence was almost threatening in each room he walked in, the only sound heard was the stagger of gabriella's hot pink rolling backpack which followed behind them.

to say people were surprised was an understatement, they were almost gobsmacked at the sheer image of their boss with a (happily alive) daughter. their mouths were agape in utter confusion, causing miguel to tug gabi , while she just smiled and waved at them. "mr o'hara!" you called out as he entered his office. "i filed the reports from yesterday and i did the analy-" you stopped speaking when you saw the young girl aside him. "is this your dau-" "this is my daughter, gabriella" he sounded as stoic as ever, but with the tiniest amount of endearment when he called her his daughter.

"you can call me gabi!" she smiled, sticking her hand out like she's watched her father done one too many times.

you chuckled as you leant down to shake her hand,

"i'm your fathers assistant, my name's y/n." she smiled gleefully as you spoke,

"oh i know youu, my dad tal-"

"gabi." his voice was stern, successfully making her quiet. "miss l/n, please continue with what you were saying before?" he asked, a bit less sombre than usual.

"oh! so i filed the reports which were submitted yesterday, and i did an analysis of the new rapture. i emailed it to you earlier today, but basically, it doesn't look like it would benefit you in anyway."

gabi looked at the two of you in awe. "mm," he hummed, "i'll look at it later. thank you."

a couple moments later you were sitting at your desk, not too far away from miguel since you were his assistant. gabi was spinning around endlessly on his rolling chair, making you smile as you watched.

when she caught that you had your attention on her, she hopped off the chair and dizzily ran towards you.

"miss y/n! whatcha doin'?" she asked, peering onto your laptop screen,

"i'm just sorting your fathers schedule" you explain, "you looked like you were having a good time spinning on that chair huh?" you smile to her, she scratched her neck guiltily, much like her father.

"aha, im kinda boredd"

"ask your father if he could take you around the building perhaps? my personal favourite is the room where margot stays, shes really sweet." you look down at gabriella, smiling gently.

"he looks busy.." she pouted a bit,

"i mean, he's a busy guy. but have you thought of asking him?" you knew that miguel could definitely hear you from his desk, you were in the same room for christs sake!

"mmm, can you take me on a tour?" she looked up at you in awe,

"i mean, im not busy right now. perhaps if you asked mr o'har-"

"take her" he said, looking towards you two, the smallest smiled displayed towards his daughter. you didn't know it was to you too.

gabriella squealed in delight as she took you by the hand and dragged you out of that room.

you took her nearly everywhere, she met everyone (she nearly cried at the sight of the spidersaur), and gabi seemed to enjoy her tour, saying hello, taking photos on her ipad camera. she even played just dance with numerous spider people!

you were sitting down next to her as she napped in the medic, she felt tired and wanted to rest, so the medic was your best option. there was no way you would've hurt her, you probably would be packing your desk up if that was the case.

"hey" miguel nodded as he strolled into the room, smiling gently as he saw his daughters resting body. he placed his palm on her head, checking for fever,

"she's fine, she just had a tiring day." you smile, "she plays a lot of just dance." miguel chuckles at the mention of his and and gabriella's favourite game.

"yeah," he paused for a long moment. "uhm, y/n. i just, i just wanted to say thank you, for everything."

"ah, no worries. she's a sweet girl, you did well mr. o'hara" you smiled gently, still admiring how much he cared for his daughter.

"even though you are human, you're a valuable asset to this society" he praised, offering you a smile.

"oh, thanks sir" you were a bit stunned at the sudden compliment.

"i mean it y/n, i don't let just anyone get to know my daughter" # I THOUGHT THE PLANE WAS GOING DOWN - HOW'D YOU TURN IT RIGHT AROUND?

Miguel and Gabriella | Easter 🐇

Disclaimer: I know not everyone celebrates the day but as someone who does, I just had this on my mind and couldn't help the fluffiness. I just love thinking about Miguel as a dad to Gabi 🥺 so these are just some random thoughts on it, if only things were different! I also want to add that I know some people celebrate differently, or have different takes/opinions on it or on certain traditions/activities, so please take no offense from this post. This is based on things my family used to do for the kids of the family when we were all children, so a lot of this was normal for me growing up.

This is meant to be a lighthearted post on Miguel being a dad to Gabriella and embracing his dad energy, so I hope you enjoy it for what it is. Thank you! :)

Masterlist

In an alternative timeline, Lyla took the photo with the bunny filter because it's almost Easter and she thought it would be funny. Miguel is grumpy about it.

In this alt timeline, Gabriella didn't die. That means Miguel had the opportunity to introduce her to the Spider Society and the fact that he's Spider-Man. So when Miguel returns from the mission to HQ, what's the first thing Lyla does? Show Gabi the picture, of course, which makes Gabi laugh. Miguel can't even be grumpy about the picture anymore. The sight of his daughter laughing, along with the endearing sound of it, erases any negative emotion regarding the photo and the mission. Miguel is just a happy dad!! 🥹

With Easter around the corner, I'm imagining Miguel and Gabi going shopping for her Easter dress. Miguel lets Gabi choose whichever one she wants. She probably chose a lilac-colored one (crying over a dead fictional child rn).

Because Gabi knows of the Spider Society, I imagine she knows the HQ building very well and it's like a second home to her, and due to that, Miguel plans a BIG Easter egg hunt for her and the other spider kids like Mayday. He makes it clear it's open for anyone. It's just a little fun time for the kids!

I'm imagining him and maybe a few other spider adults going to HQ at night to set up for the next day and when the kids arrive they spot Easter eggs everywhere. There's spider webs in corners with cute little Easter eggs stuck in them. Other Easter eggs are simply hanging from the ceiling with strings of web, and of course, there are more hidden in less obvious places to make things fun for the kids.

I don't know if Miguel would give Gabriella her own web shooters, at least not until she's older, and that's if she asks for them. Or, maybe he does but he has a whole lecture with her about using them appropriately. If Gabi doesn't have any web shooters, I can see Miguel carrying her on his shoulders so she can get the Easter eggs up on the ceiling. The whole time Miguel is grinning from ear to ear, loving Gabi's cute giggles of excitement due to the egg hunt (give me HAPPY DAD MIGUEL CONTENT, SONY, I'M BEGGING YOU).

And when Gabi is on her feet, running with her Easter basket in hand (also gifted by Miguel, of course 🥺), Miguel simply runs along with her, probably encouraging her and giving her little hints sometimes - "Mija, look, there's one right there!" and "Gabi, look up, mija!" and "Good job, hija, you found another one!"

Miguel is just having so much fun during this whole thing, he's smiling the whole time as he accompanies Gabi from sector to sector finding Easter eggs with the other spider parents and their kids.

And by the end of the egg hunt, him and the others probably prepared some food for everyone to eat and the kids are all talking about where they found eggs, or how many they found. It's just a wholesome moment for the Spider Society and those who decided to participate.

Okay, and also, with Miguel being so happy and having full on dad energy, he probably arranged for there to be some kind of Easter egg hunt for the teenagers, too (for those who celebrate or for anyone who wants to participate just for fun), because they're still kids but of course, he knows that a lot of them will be like, "I'm too old for easter egg hunting," so Miguel makes it into some kind of competitive Easter egg mission and that's how he gets some of them to participate. Miguel's just smiling in amusement as he watches the spiderlings go through it (I like to think even Hobie joined just to do the opposite of what Miguel expected from him, which was to not participate - Hobie and Pav probably won tbh)!

At the end of the day, everyone goes to their respective universes. Miguel and Gabi go home. Gabi's basket is full of Easter eggs and she's still full of energy because she's had a lot of candy at this point (and Miguel knows she's going to pass out asleep by like 8:30pm). They arrive home and Miguel is smiling because there's still one little surprise left for the day that will keep Gabi entertained while he cooks dinner for the two of them.

As soon as they step into their home, Gabi sees it. Another Easter gift basket, Spider-Man 2099 theme, the one she saw at the store a few weeks ago. It's sitting right on the floor and as soon as Gabi's pretty brown eyes land on it (no, seriously, crying over this child rn. She's so sweet 😭), she's off. She's immediately all like, "Daddy, look! It's the basket we saw at the store the other day!" and Miguel just stands a few feet away, smiling fondly at his daughter's excitement. "Si, mija, mira lo que te trajo la coneja!" ["Yes, mija, look what the [Easter] bunny brought you!"]

Miguel helps Gabi unpack her basket (we have Lyla taking pictures of them) and afterwards, while Gabi plays with some Spider-Man 2099 action figure, Miguel happily cooks dinner for them. 🥕🐇🥕🐇🥕🐇🥕🐇

Oh look at me making another story idea or maybe a one shot? Either way here goes, you and Miguel were in a relationship for like 3 to 4 years you guys were going through some things because he had new job but he didn't spend enough time with you and always stressed from working but you understood but you also noticing that he was drifting from you and your relationship it also did not help that his new assistant who happened to be his brother's girlfriend Dana

(hehe same name as mine)

started to flirt with him a lot Miguel didn't take it seriously saying that you were being paranoid but one day when you come to his job to bring him something to eat on your anniversary only to see him and her getting freaky 😔 you pack everything and leave without a word just pictures of him and her together in his office left on the kitchen counter in your shared apartment.

you find out two weeks later that you were pregnant which freaked you out because you did not think that you could get pregnant you are always told that because of how your body was there was no chance if you ever having children then boom you find out that you're pregnant so you spend the whole entire year focusing on yourself and your newborn daughter which you named Gabriella O'Hara.

Again years later you than find out that your best friend Mary Jane Watson was getting married so you decided to come back home to New York for the engagement party and visit when you get there everyone is shocked and surprised and find out that you had a daughter you were in a not really good shape to really talk to anyone you basically just kind of stopped talking to everyone after the break up with Miguel and cheating so yeah this was their first time meeting your daughter they knew she existed just never got the chance to meet her face to face ( they video called ) you find out from Gabriel that Miguel and Dana were engaged not surprised just did not care (yes tf you do😭💔❤️‍🩹😭)

after losing your daughter in a crowd unfortunately she meets her father who is surprised to see a little girl that just looked like him but had your eyes and your nose that's when he put the pieces together (yeah you fucked up dude)

after spending a night with Dana he comes back to your shared apartment and sees the note left behind and the pictures of him in Dana together he freaks out tries to contact you but no avail tries to contact other people but they also don't know where you are and know what he did so even if they did know where you were they wouldn't tell them so yeah he was like in a really emotional state throwing things hurting himself he was just really pissed off

But you did not want him to know about you being pregnant and yeah I know it sounds bad but Miguel had really bad anger issues after getting his new high paying job which thankfully he started seeking help with after you left and he seeks comfort in Dana (idiot) which led to them being engaged, he was invited to Peter's engagement party that's when he met your daughter because she had bumped into him which wasn't their first meeting (Gabriella was playing a field with her soccer ball that's when Miguel saw her and thought she was a lost child and just started playing soccer with her Gabriella does mention that she did make a friend but you did not know that it was your ex bf,

Being scared you say your goodbyes quickly leaving the party Miguel chased after you trying to get answers but you were gone again, you had a panic attack ,

worried that he was going to take your daughter from you and he would fight for full custody which you wouldn't blame him for but you also thought it was unreasonable seeing as he showed little interest in having children mostly because of his past with his family but when you left he started fantasizing at the idea of you two married and having children he would have loved to adopt, so to find out that you had a daughter and kept it fr him broke his heart

so yes he now knows that he has a daughter and he might be fighting for custody if you are willing to agree to let him get to know Gabriella oh yeah and his brother knows about his daughter he kept it a secret, basically is petty revenge for yaknow hooking up with his girlfriend

now Miguel is trying to fix everything trying to win back your affection and apologize for everything he's done in the past which is just going to be really hard to do on both ends hopefully they both try to resolve their issues for their daughter's sake who just wants both her parents back together.

Drama and Angst y'all when I first found out about Miguel story I found out on tiktok that he cheated with his brothers girlfriend I was like wow bro that's fucked up and I haven't really seen anyone make any Miguel X reader cheating stories yet so I was like okay let's do this

Why no one is talking about Spider-Zero being a future version of Gabriella O‘Hara

She was present as just Spider-Zero in the Spider-Verse 2019 comics, as a young teenager who lost her world and traveled from universe to universe, ultimately recruiting Spider-Man. She tend became the Master Weaver, who guards and protects the Web of Life and Destiny, pretty much the job Miguel has in Across the Spider-Verse.

Most importantly, her name and identity was never revealed in the comics. She lost her world due to an Incursion, which caused a dimensional contraction, basically two realities or Earths to collide with each other. I can totally see this in what Miguel did when he reemplaced his other self, but with a more Matrix-like imagery.

She traveled through worlds, and then became Master Weaver. But most importantly, she contacted Miles Morales to help her repair the Web of Life and Destiny.

If she is not in Beyond the Spiderverse, then I will be deeply disappointed.

ok but can you imagine an au where gabriella actually lives?

and like, they're hosting a party or something or just having a get together, a carne asada, and miguel's alone or something and he's been drinking so he's drunk and more.... vulnerable i suppose but not like blackout drunk, ykwim??? and so gabri comes and finds him, and they chat for a bit, and there's this heavy tension that gabri feels, and she's not sure she likes it.

i imagine whenever he drinks - which isn't often - he gets quiet and solemn, he gets sad and thinks about his past. and so he ends up dropping dad lore.

and gabri has to sit there and listen as miguel tells her of his childhood, of how abusive his parents were, of how he struggled with his gender, of how he often thought that death was kinder than living.

and he then tells gabri how he's not even from this world. how he's an anomaly. how he's not even this world's original miguel.

and gabriella stares at him as if he was the devil himself, and in a way he is. she's quiet, looking away, and doesn't move when miguel goes quiet and kisses her head.

he tells her he'd do anything for her, even if it meant collapsing a universe. he kisses her again and rubs her head, and shoos her off.

gabriella does as he says, and thinks, and wonders if the night he came home when she was a child, if the red glint in his eyes when they caught the light was real or just her imagination.

she's beginning to think it wasn't her imagination.
