I've been dabbling in writing for Masters of the Air because the Bucky Egan and Buck Cleven partnership has taken hold -- and as someone who has spent a significant amount of time in the midwest, I think John Egan would have been even more powerful had he had a full Wisconsin accent (though I will say, Callum Turner is close, and I appreciated it)

“It’s up on the roof there,” Bucky says, and Gale can’t hide his smile. Doesn’t bother to, what with all the men suddenly turning their heads. See, it’s the way Bucky says roof. There’s no pull in the ‘o’s, no dig into the ‘f’. It’s more what you’d expect a child to parrot if you asked them “what sound does a dog make?” It’s gruff and hits rather than follows through in the sound. It’s a giveaway of where Bucky’s from, and admittedly when they’re surrounded by all these planes, sometimes it’s a good reminder that Bucky didn’t just pop out of a plane one day to be here with his men. It’s also one of the rare times where Gale can give as good as he gets from Bucky, so he raises his eyebrow up and goes. “It’s up on the what?” Sucking on the inside of his cheek, Bucky glares at Gale. “You heard me.”

You know, I was already pretty sure they would be including the quotes about strange things in the labour camp and sharing a bunk on the march to Moosberg -- it's funny enough for an easy chuckle, and human, and very much of the time -- but now I'm positive. There's no way that they let Callum Turner make as many heart eyes at Austin Butler as he did in the first two episodes alone and then DIDN'T include a story like that. People are going to love that shit.
