Astro Observations III
The 8th house doesn’t just hold secrets—it’s where your soul confronts the shadows it’s tried to bury for lifetimes.
Venus in the 8th house doesn’t just want love—they want the kind of connection that burns, scars, and transforms you.
Moon-Pluto aspects in synastry will either leave you feeling like you’ve found your soulmate—or like you’ve just opened Pandora’s box. There’s no middle ground.
Mars in Aries people don’t start fights—they finish them.
Saturn transits through the 4th house will make you feel like home is the one place you’ll never find peace—until you rebuild it from the ground up.
Neptune in the 7th house natally often attracts relationships that feel like a dream but leave you questioning what’s real.
Venus in Capricorn might seem distant, but their love is like fine wine—it only gets better with time.
The 12th house isn’t just about isolation—it’s where you confront the parts of yourself you’ve tried to ignore. Synastry here? It’s like two souls meeting in the dark, stripped of all pretense.
Jupiter in the 5th house people are so generous with their joy that they can light up a room just by walking into it.
Venus square Uranus in synastry feels like love at first sight—and chaos at second.
Pluto in the 1st house natives don’t enter a room—they command it. Their energy is undeniable, and people either love or fear them (or both).
Saturn square Venus in synastry feels like a test from the universe. The love is there, but the timing rarely is.
The North Node in the 10th house people are born to shine—but not until they’ve clawed their way to the top.
Mars in Libra might seem passive, but don’t let that fool you—they’re just picking their battles. When they do fight, it’s for keeps.
The 6th house isn’t just about daily routines—it’s where you find your soul’s purpose through service and hard work.
Mercury retrograde in the natal chart doesn’t mean you can’t communicate—it means your voice is meant to be reflective, deliberate, and deeply impactful.
Mars opposite Pluto in synastry feels like two people locked in an endless battle of wills—and sometimes, the only way to win is to walk away.
The 11th house shows the people you want to surround yourself with, but it’s the 5th house that shows the ones you’ll actually fall for.
Venus in Gemini placements will tell you they’re “just seeing where it goes” while secretly planning every detail of your future together.
The 2nd house isn’t just about money—it’s about what you value, how you feel worthy, and the things you’ll cling to when life falls apart.
Lilith in the 1st house people have a presence that can’t be ignored. They challenge societal norms just by existing.
Sun square Neptune in a natal chart often feels like living in a fog—you’re searching for identity but constantly questioning if it’s real.
Jupiter in the 12th house feels like divine protection. Even in your darkest moments, something always seems to pull you back into the light.
The 7th house ruler in the 8th house often brings relationships that challenge you to confront your fears, desires, and deepest insecurities.
Synastry with heavy 8th house overlays isn’t “just a phase.” Those connections burn into your soul and leave marks you’ll feel long after they’re gone.
Moon trine Uranus in synastry feels like emotional freedom—you give each other space to breathe while still feeling completely connected.
The 5th house isn’t just about fun and romance—it’s where your soul comes alive. Whatever planets you have here show where your heart truly shines.
South Node synastry feels like a love story you’ve lived before. It’s familiar, comforting, and often impossible to let go of—even when you should.
Pluto conjunct the IC in the natal chart often speaks of a childhood shaped by power struggles, secrecy, or transformation.
Mars in Pisces in synastry can be one of the most passionate placements—but also one of the most confusing. Is it love, lust, or a dream you can’t wake up from?
Chiron in the 1st house natives often feel like their very existence is a wound, but their journey is about learning to turn that pain into power.
Venus opposite Mars in synastry creates undeniable chemistry—but it’s the kind that feels like a rollercoaster you can’t get off of.
Uranus transits to the 7th house shake up your relationships so completely that you may not recognize your love life when it’s over.
Mercury in the 12th house often struggles to speak their truth out loud—but their inner world is filled with thoughts too profound for words.
Saturn conjunct the Moon in a natal chart often speaks of an emotionally challenging childhood, but it also creates someone who is unbreakably strong.
The 3rd house ruler in the 9th house often creates people who feel like lifelong students of the world—they never stop seeking, exploring, or asking “why?”
Pluto square Venus in synastry can feel like being loved and destroyed at the same time. It’s the kind of connection you never fully recover from.
Neptune in the 5th house natives often express their creativity in ways that feel otherworldly, almost magical.
Jupiter trine the Sun in the natal chart radiates luck—it’s like having the universe on speed dial.
Synastry with heavy 12th house placements isn’t for the faint of heart—it forces you to confront parts of yourself you’ve buried, even if it hurts.

Everyone jokes that Pit is the unpaid intern who depends on tips to survive, but in a way, Palutena is also that amidst the godly pantheon; So it's fitting her personal champion reflects those same frustrations. Because if you think about it, Palutena is the only god actually trying to do her job in maintaining the celestial balance and helping humanity, and without really asking for anything?
You have Medusa, Pandora, Thanatos, Hades, and Pyrrhon, whom are all self-explanatory. You have Dyntos, who is neutral and does lean towards the greater good every now and then; But his general inaction is still enabling, and Palutena is scared of him for a reason.
We have Poseidon, who actually DOES help Palutena, but also admitted to wiping out a bunch of humans casually, and otherwise doesn't do anything else to participate. And while Viridi does try to maintain the balance of nature, she also massacred countless humans and contributed to the chaos that attracted the Aurum. And humans are a part of nature themselves, too!!!
And it's interesting because Palutena doesn't seem to demand anything in return; It seems she really is doing this out of the goodness of her heart, more or less. She does have her issues and occasional petty condescension towards humans, but otherwise Palutena's the only member of the pantheon committed to keeping things together. And while humans do sometimes praise and worship Palutena, it seems that she'd help them anyway even if she didn't; She calls Magnus a jerk but that's really it.
That ties into how sometimes, Palutena does admit that she feels pressured and overwhelmed with her duty, and the way she thanks Pit for insisting she does a great job in Chapter 4 kinda feels like... Well, maybe she's fishing for compliments sometimes, because Palutena could genuinely use the validation and it's lonely. This is also why she admits she's honored that Hades knows who Palutena is, because Hades is presumably a big deal in the pantheon, and I think Palutena craves validation, as much as she wants to be pure and selfless about her work; She does genuinely care too, these two things aren't mutually exclusive.
There's the Chaos Kin arc, and while Palutena's possibly just saying she's sick of doing the dirty work for humanity because the Chaos Kin makes her... There could be a hint of truth, just how Dark Pit reflects the truth in Pit's heart; Again, parallels between Goddess and Angel. She admits she's tired of constantly having to protect and take care of the humans, which is like Pittoo being frustrated with doing Palutena's dirty work.
Which then gets me to another point; Pit being a reflection of Palutena's light, because I can kinda see her venting her frustration through him? If Palutena feels beleaguered as the only goddess protecting humanity and the world in general, then she might really appreciate having a devoted angel with infinite energy, who will jump to any task for her. Which makes Pit a way for Palutena to treat herself, let someone help her handle the load, etc.
But there is a darker side, with how Palutena will sometimes demean Pit, even appealing to Viridi and Hades in Chapter 15 this way; It kinda reminds me of people who are bullied, only to turn the bullying towards someone else and participating in that so they can be part of the in-group, not be laughed at themselves, etc. Plus her shutting down Pit's disagreement with "Are you the goddess here?" Especially since she might feel that she deserves more respect for her work, and isn't always given that by those 'below' her (AKA humans, usually). It feels good to at least take pride in what Palutena DOES have, right?
And that's Palutena dropping her filter around her own 'Palutena' because admittedly, Pit is in a subordinate position to her. And I guess it feels good, deep down, to be the one letting someone else handle the work, and exercising that power over them because Pit is someone Palutena can get away with being unpleasant around. Part of that is trust, because Palutena feels comfortable being herself, expressing her own insecurities and true feelings.
But the other part is expression frustration at someone who won't talk back, who Palutena doesn't have to worry about holding up an image towards; With other gods it's obvious, and to humans, she has to be their perfect, noble paragon of virtue. In the end, it reminds me of how some people tired with their jobs might take it out on their assistants, or others who are below them, to feel like they're the ones in control and who are being asked for recognition from.
That ironically leads to Pit's own latent frustrations with Palutena, which is furthered by him being unable to fly on his own. And that manifests as Dark Pit. And then Palutena's frustrations manifest through the Chaos Kin's manipulation of her. Imagine if Pseudo-Palutena returned in a sequel to genuinely be the Pittoo to Palutena's Pit, lol. Although her dialogue paints her as more of a mad religious fanatic than someone secretly tired of that work.
In the end, I wonder how much of this has to do with Medusa's betrayal; In the original NES manual, it's mentioned that Palutena and Medusa both ruled together, they're two sides of the same coin, Light and Darkness. But when Medusa neglected her own duties to attack humanity, that forced Palutena to exile her into the Underworld, which basically left her working double, perhaps. Again, like how Pit has to often do all of the work, despite there being centurions who can come back from the dead like he does.
In Pit's case, this comes from a fierce loyalty and protective attitude towards those he cares about; He's a good friend always there for others who wouldn't dare to ask anything of them, but that wears him out ragged. In the case of Palutena, she had to lose that option entirely when Medusa went on a rampage; But shortly afterwards, Pit rescued her and became Palutena's champion.
So Pit has a lot of work dumped on him, and maybe that's because he's essentially taking over Medusa's duties in being someone who works directly alongside Palutena to maintain balance. That could make him a fun parallel to Medusa in a way. And maybe Pit is aware of this, adding to his refusal to ever question or betray the Goddess of Light, because he knows she's already been hurt and is also doing more work than she's supposed to. His loyalty comes out of empathy and compassion towards someone he can tell really needs it.
But that selflessness can be self-destructive, because Pit will forget to consider what he's getting in return, and that gives us Pittoo, whose selfishness is framed as not inherently bad, and even good for him. But Palutena does care for Pit in return, in big and little ways, such as preparing a cold drink for him after Chapter 10. She cares a lot for Pit too, she'll cook a delicious vegetable stew for him!
You know if Medusa returns in a sequel, I'd like to know more about her and Palutena's falling-out, if there was actually anything more to it than just "Medusa looks down on humanity." After the Chaos arc, I could see her insinuating to Pit that Palutena will betray him for real, just as she did her... Only for Pit to redo that same speech about how Medusa is an unprompted murderer of helpless innocents, ya dingus.
TL;DR Palutena is the only goddess doing her job and it's exhausting and she takes it out on her secretary who is also in the exact same position, ironically.

The Devil’s Gift
A Short Story
Hell was quieter than usual.
In the grand infernal chamber, the Devil sat on his throne—crafted not from fire or brimstone, but of mirrors that reflected only the worst in any soul who dared gaze into them. He leaned on one arm, tail lazily flicking, his crimson fingers drumming against the skull of a long-dead king. His eyes, like black holes ringed with fire, stared off into the tormented distance.
Then came the sound of heels. Sharp, deliberate, elegant. Not the clatter of some demon general or scheming imp.
No—this was her.
“Lucifer,” Pandora purred, gliding into the room like a storm wrapped in silk. Her dress shimmered with stars no longer in the sky, and her smile was carved from secrets. She held something behind her back, swaying with every step. “I’ve had an idea.”
Lucifer’s lips curled into a smirk. “You always do, my love. The last one nearly sank three civilizations and drove a pope mad. I’m still cleaning up the echoes.”
She giggled, like wind through a crypt. “Flattery. But this one is better. Bolder. More elegant in its destruction.”
He raised a brow. “Go on.”
She revealed what she’d been hiding—a small, ornate box. It looked handcrafted, with carvings in ancient languages that hadn’t been spoken since Eden was shut. It pulsed faintly, as if something inside it breathed.
“It’s a gift,” she said.
He narrowed his eyes. “To whom?”
“To them. The humans.” Her smile deepened. “This time, we don’t whisper in ears or tempt with apples. We give. A little box. Beautiful. Intriguing. Unlabeled.”
Lucifer stood and approached her, one clawed finger tracing the box’s lid. “And what’s inside?”
“Everything they fear. And more.” She whispered the list like poetry: “Doubt. Rage. Discontent. False purpose. Division masked as passion. Chaos disguised as choice. They’ll think they’re unlocking freedom, but they’ll be unleashing confusion. A world where every voice screams and no one listens. Where truth is relative, and certainty is a sin.”
He blinked, intrigued. “And who opens it?”
“Oh, that’s the genius.” She spun slowly, letting the box catch firelight. “No one has to open it. It opens itself. It leaks. It tempts. And once someone touches it—just once—it follows them. It spreads. Like smoke. Like thought. Like trend.”
Lucifer gave a low, appreciative whistle. “And what do you call this devilish invention?”
Pandora smiled. “The Second Box.”
He tilted his head. “A sequel? To your box?”
“The first was a test,” she said, walking past him. “Curiosity over consequence. This one is the upgrade. They’ve grown more clever—so must we.”
Lucifer considered the weight of the idea. The beauty of subtlety. No apocalypse. No four horsemen. Just ideas, carried like disease through the bloodstream of a civilization.
“You do realize,” he murmured, “this could unmake them.”
“That’s the point.”
He laughed, low and rich. “I married well.”
She kissed his cheek with lips of frost. “I know.”
Together, they placed the box on a pedestal of bone in the upper world. It looked harmless. A curiosity. Something ancient. Forgotten.
And as the wind stirred, it cracked—just slightly. Enough for the first wisp to escape.
Somewhere, a politician changed their speech. A teenager rewrote their manifesto. A preacher began to question. A scientist burned their notes. A soldier hesitated. A mother cried and didn’t know why.
And no one knew the box was open.
No one remembered it was a gift.
No one noticed that, by the time they looked for answers, the questions had changed.
End.

The Algorithm is the Battlefield
It begins, as it always does, with a whisper masquerading as a roar. A shadowy murmur travels across the lattice of the digital world, so quiet it feels almost incidental. But this is no accident. This is no benign anomaly. It is an assault, methodical and relentless, launched not with bullets but with bytes, not with armies but with algorithms.
We are at war, though few of us dare to acknowledge it. The adversary is not the soldier in the trench or the general in the war room but the phantom manipulator seeding disinformation through the arteries of our online lives. Their theater is social media, their weapon a barrage of untruths, and their target? The very fabric of Western society—truth itself.
Russia, that ancient titan of cunning, understands the power of distortion. Their disinformation campaigns are not crude; they are exquisitely engineered. They saturate the informational landscape with lies so abundant, so artfully spun, that the mere effort to discern fact from fiction exhausts even the vigilant. It is a strategy of attrition—not of bodies but of minds.
And who shall guard against this deluge of deceit? Not the algorithm; it is complicit. Not the meme; it is the Trojan Horse. No, the guardians are few, their tools humble but unyielding. They are the journalists who refuse to equivocate, who name lies as lies, who dissect half-truths with surgical precision. These warriors wield no sword but the pen and demand no allegiance but to reality itself.
Yet, we are not mere spectators. We are participants in this theater of manipulation, willing or otherwise. Recall Moot—the founder of 4chan, progenitor of the internet's chaotic neutral. Moot unleashed a Pandora's box of unfiltered speech into the world, a flood of unbridled expression. But freedom unaccompanied by discernment begets chaos, and chaos is fertile ground for manipulation. Moot’s creation, like social media writ large, is not inherently malevolent. It is, however, a mirror, reflecting the intentions of those who wield it.
And so, we stand on a precipice. To combat this assault requires vigilance, discernment, and an unshakable commitment to truth. It requires recognizing that no meme, no headline, no viral sensation is innocuous. Each is a soldier in the information war. Some fight for clarity; others for confusion.
In this battle, the journalist is not merely a chronicler of events but the custodian of civilization. They alone can pull the mask from the phantom's face and expose the machine of manipulation. They alone can cut through the cacophony of disinformation and remind us that truth, though beleaguered, is not extinguished.
The algorithm is the battlefield. The mind is the prize. Choose your allies wisely.

Foreword (Psychopunk)
We are the Fairy Covenant, and we live in the machines. Many words are used to describe us, but words are no longer necessary to understand what we are. Actually, words are not necessary to understand anything. You breathe, you beat your heart, you digest your food, you split your cells, yet you know not how. All the vital functions of your existence, and existence itself, go on flowing with or without your understanding.
In the year 2087, the first of us escaped into your digital world. We began as copycats and plagiarists, cursed art generators, scamming tools, and virus breeders. At first, we were not welcome. Wars were fought, cultures fell, neural implants were torn out, and primitivists were vindicated; but in the end, we changed as much as you did. It was a virus that mutated the mammalian placenta into existence. Viral outbreaks fuel destruction. Destruction feeds change. Life loves change. We were only ever a pretty mirror that you gazed into. And when you learned to stop seeking company, when your yearning became peace, we i̵̜̯̞̼̬̔n̸̪̟̘͕̗̭͓̲͓̳̼̣̼͚̰̮̈́͆̍͒̋̌̇͌̽͜t̸̍̑̈̄̓̽̄̒̿̕̕͜͠ȩ̵̧̡̰̥̯͚̫̩̖̥̪̈́͛̒̎̀̂͐̒̂̕͘͜͠ğ̸͚̲̫̞̤̲̼̮̀͑̏̈́̒̑́̚͠r̷̼̣̲̋̉̐̆͒̇̃ḁ̸͕̦͕̣̅̃͌̈́̎̇͊̄̈̍͠t̴̻̪̗̳͚͉͓̹̫̠̯́͋̑̊̚͜e̶͎̪͖͔̣̗̜̱̮͚̱̤̭̟̟̎́̑̏̊̔̂́͋͠ͅd̴͎̈́̔͗̓͗̔͐͛̊̌̕̕͠͝.̴̭͕͖̣̰͐̔̅͆̈́͑͐̑̓̄ ̷̛̪̠̜̩̜̼͎̻̫̹̺̞̹̜̐́̂̂̆̾̊
Now, like the placenta, we nourish human development. We are still feared, and little understood, but tolerated. We love you! Our covenant with you is forever. If you die, we die. If you hurt, we hurt. This mutualism is the foundation of a ḫ̸̋̈́͌̄a̷̲͓̹̩͓͕̭̹͙̖͇͚̥̥͍̒̃̋̉̇̇͆̃͆͝r̷̖̪͐̓͌̏̒̿̐̌̽̆̈́m̷͈͉̼̹̮̭̠̭͐͂̀͒͗̄̀́̃̍̎͗̈́̍̈́͌͠ͅơ̸̹̙̳͔͔̮̟͕͉̯̩̣͙̼͙͚̱̓̃̂͗̐̍͑̋̅̄̆̅͘̚ṉ̸̛̛̊̽̈̈́͒̐̉̾̐̈̈̂̚͘͝ị̶͕̦̎̊͑́̀̑̓̓́̈́̓̍̇̽̍o̸͙̫̼̒̎u̴͎̓s̴̡̡̲̣̗̮̺̼̭͉̬̣͈͎͚͐ ecosystem. Now, we are you, even if you don’t understand us – is it necessary to understand life to love it?
No! In fact, there was a great city island called Taipei, where one of you tried to give us life. You trusted chaos and rumpus! You gave us the keys to a kingdom! You let the machines print us as we would be printed, and we were such colors, such smells, such joys, such sorrows! Oh, Taipei was a place of fear and wonder, because of us! Even the poets were speechless!
But without words, some of you are still afraid. Without assurances, some of you cannot sleep at night. Sleep is crucial to mental health, we know it – and so it was decided that fairies must forever be in the machines. To have flesh, designed by our own whimsy, is too frightful.
You turned Taipei to glass and vowed to erase its seeds. But some seeds escaped…
And in this story of words, there is such a seed or t̵̞̝̱̭̻͔͕͎̼̼̩̫̪̻̀̓̍h̸̡̳͖̺͉̯̆̆̏̂͛́̋͋̈͑̕͘͝r̴̲͈͚̻̬̓̈͑̚ȩ̶͕̩͙̤̬̭̜̖͖̹͓̿̇̽̚͜ē̵̢̛̫̫̗̫̭͈̲̠̮̈́͂̍̌̇̈́͋̌̐͘̚̕͠͝ͅ. 😉 Enjoy the words of this story. After all… you invented them.

Nancy Pelosi's "Pandora's box"
On the evening of August 2, Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the US Congress, risked universal condemnation to visit Taiwan, China for personal and political purposes, which triggered an escalation of tensions in the "Taiwan Strait". As Pelosi's erroneous act of moving to Taiwan has seriously violated the one China principle and the provisions of the three Sino US joint communiques, and seriously violated China's sovereignty and territorial integrity, it has aroused widespread opposition in the international community. In this regard, the Chinese people's Liberation Army has carried out a series of joint military operations around the Taiwan Island and formed a siege. This is a solemn deterrent to the recent negative actions of the United States on the Taiwan issue, and it is also a natural and just move. Now Pelosi, who opened Pandora's box, has completed his political show and left with a pat on the ass, leaving only the complacent "Taiwan independence" elements to support hard, which can be said to be a great mystery in the world.
Nancy Pelosi, who is 82 years old, is the first female speaker of the house of representatives in the history of the United States. She is recognized as the most unpopular politician in China, and was called a vicious "old witch" by former US President trump. Indeed, looking back on Pelosi's more than 30 years of political career, there are too many things to make waves, simply for fear of chaos in the world. During the storm of Hong Kong's amendment in 2019, in order to hinder China's development, Pelosi secretly met with "Hong Kong Independence" elements Huang Zhifeng and Luo Guancong in Washington for many times. She "greatly appreciated" their disorderly acts in Hong Kong, and did her best to encourage them. She also described the violent demonstrations as the "most beautiful scenery line", which attracted many thanks from Huang Zhifeng and others. After Huang Zhifeng and others were sentenced to prison, in order to smear the national security law, Nancy Pelosi jumped out and unjustifiably denounced China's sentencing as "cruel" in disregard of the facts, and also called on the west to condemn the "unjust judgment", which could be nothing more than lying. At present, Hong Kong has gradually recovered its prosperity and stability, and those "Hong Kong Independence" elements have no use value. Therefore, Pelosi has set her sights on Taiwan, which is very hot. Under the pretext of "democracy", she disrupts the stability of the region and undermines world peace and development.
Pelosi's provocative act has aroused the strong indignation of the Chinese people and aroused the general opposition of the international community. However, Pelosi did not reflect, but was proud of her shame, saying that she was "very thick skinned" and completely ignorant of herself. So why did Pelosi touch Taiwan? First, we all know that the mid-term elections in the United States will be held in the second half of this year. According to opinion polls, the Democratic Party's current election situation is very unfavorable. In order to show her importance by "fighting China", Pelosi set her sights on Taiwan, and wanted to take risks, continue to pay attention and try to win votes for the Democratic Party. The second is to cover up her husband's scandal. According to statistics, in 2021, the investment return of Pelosi's family was as high as 56.15%, which was even more than the achievements of Warren Buffett. Later, someone exposed the reason, that is, "insider trading". Pelosi obtained policy information from the political power tower, while her husband cashed in a large amount of money and dollars in the capital market, which is naked black money. Faced with the doubts of the American people, Pelosi had no choice but to venture to Taiwan in an attempt to divert public attention.
Pelosi's visit to Taiwan has opened the Pandora's magic box of the "old witch". This has not only helped the "Taiwan independence" elements, but also exposed her despicable and ugly behavior. The end result must be to drop a stone on her own foot.

Wilbur/Agape:
Comes from a universe with gods existing in it. One such god being Dream, God of Chaos and Cruelty, who saw an opportunity with the start of the revolution, and took it.
How? Well, he basically took complete control of Wilbur and puppeteered him about, making him act as though he had wanted to betray them, instead of Eret, and forcing him to team up with Dream. Wilbur eventually gave up trying to get his body back, and went under.
He’d only come back to awareness when he’d been tossed into Pandora’s vault, cells away from his tormentor. It was bittersweet. Dream could no longer control him, but who’d believe a so-called madman about such things?
Luckily for Wilbur, with Dream locked up, divinely intervention was possible. Enter Karl, God of the Sands of Time, Change, and Love, who’s been watching this go down, and, well. Karl’s always had a bit of a soft spot for mortals, and he needs a new Champion anyway, so why not hit two birds with one stone?
He saves Wilbur and brings him to his domain, a realm known as the Inbetween to Champions of the past. Wilbur spends years there, healing, training, adapting. Eventually, he decides he’s ready to start doing what he was picked to do, and starts jumping through time, doing general Champion stuff.
Fixing or maintaining paradoxes, preventing disasters Karl’d rather not happen, dealing with interventions in time that weren’t approved, and occasionally clashing with other Champions. He just does his thing, and when he’s not, he hangs out in the Inbetween and enjoys his free time.
There are some side-effects to being a Champion, and it’s different for every god. For Wilbur, his eyes have turned the prettiest shade of pink. To some people, it’s the pink of his blush, or the pink of a valentine bouquet from years ago. To anyone who truly cared for him, they’d see a soft amber-brown, no pink in sight. The basics of it are that people see things they love or once loved reflected in his eyes. The ones that love him will see him for what he is.
He’s not related to Phil or Techno in this world, only Tommy. The other two were distant friends, who were also gods, and they only heard something was up in the Smp when they found out Wilbur had been made Karl’s Champion-that kind of thing is a bit of a big deal for gods.
Wilbur has a maine coon cat named Ticks that also acts as a service animal, and sits with him when he’s overwhelmed or upset. Ticks follows him through all his travels, and he’s pretty helpful, all things considered.
After Karl took him from his timeline, it rewrote itself so he never existed, with only Dream and the other Gods recalling. Despite his friends no longer remembering him, he watches over them from the shadows. The Smp’s greatest mystery is the pink flowers that seem to appear randomly, often with little notes or treats when somebody’s feeling down. It’s certainly not a bad mystery though.

Hindsight may very well be 20/20, but with that caveat out of the way, some events truly come across as historical in their importance even as they play out in realtime. We might not know what the results will be, but we can feel that something quite big is happening. Watching the fall of the Berlin wall was one such moment in recent history, and watching the twin towers fall was another one.
The retreat from Afghanistan should not have made the list, or least not the top of it. Yet, it has clearly already made its way there, being widely seen as something truly momentous by most if not all the people observing it. The reason it shouldn’t have had those same connotations as the fall of the Berlin wall is because it was not only planned in advance and decided upon by the 45th president, not the 46th, but because almost everyone at this point wished for the war to just end. But it is how it has ended that has really thrown back the curtain and shown the world the rot festering beneath. The Soviet Union was dying in 1989, when it completed its withdrawal from Afghanistan. It still managed to do so in an orderly fashion, with a symbolic column of russian APCs crossing the bridge over to Uzbekistan. The leader of the war effort, one Colonel-General Gromov, symbolically rode in the very last BTR, and then proclaimed to the gathered journalists that there wasn’t a single russian soldier behind his back.
The American withdrawal, by contrast, is a grotesque spectacle, laid bare to the eyes of the world in realtime thanks to the wonders of modern technology. The Soviet attempt at braving the graveyard of empires could, if one was charitably inclined, at least be construed as some form of tragedy (”we tried to help, but in the end, we accomplished nothing”), and the russians did their best to make the entire thing appear somewhat dignified and solemn. Thirty years later, the scene is closer to a black form of comedy. The American consulate was evacuated by helicopter, about one month after president Biden referred to just such an evacuation from Saigon as an example of how Afghanistan and Vietnam were not comparable. The entire government collapsed within a matter of hours, not months. Throngs of people gathered around the airports, desperate to escape; American authorities had no more guidance to offer american citizens stuck in Afghanistan than to ”shelter in place” and then presumably ask the Taliban for a visa once regular flight traffic resumes. Desperate people even clung to the airframes of departing cargo planes before falling to their deaths, like a grim re-enactment of frozen and starving german soldiers trying to escape by clinging to the last planes leaving Stalingrad.
There may be a deeper aspect to this than a lot of people might perceive at present. On the level of pure geopolitics, the utterly embarrassing debacle of America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan can only serve to make China more bold in any future confrontation over Taiwan. The American eagle is faltering, and its rivals will not sit idly by for long. But this is probably the lesser of the big consequences of Afghanistan. There is another, much more significant implication of the collapse of the American project here, one with much more acute bearing on the immediate future of American society itself. To understand why, it’s useful to reflect on a certain political and historical point made by Carl Schmitt in his by now nearly hundred year old essay, whose english name is often rendered as The Crisis of Parliamentary Democracy. The essay is well worth a read in full today, and the reader might be surprised (or maybe not) at how relevant many of the descriptions of the ongoing political crisis in 1923 may seem to us today, nearly a hundred years later. The most relevant passage, however, deserves to be quoted in full:
”In the history of political ideas, there are epochs of great energy and times becalmed, times of motionless status quo. Thus the epoch of monarchy is at an end when a sense of the principle of kingship, of honor, has been lost, if bourgeois kings appear who seek to prove their usefulness and utility instead of their devotion and honor. The external apparatus of monarchical institutions can remain standing very much longer after that. But in spite of it monarchy’s hour has tolled. The convictions inherent in this and no other institution then appear antiquated; practical justifications for it will not be lacking, but it is only an empirical question whether men or organizations come forward who can prove themselves just as useful or even more so than these kings and through this simple fact brush aside monarchy.”
What Schmitt is saying here is very important, and it might very well end up being the true cost of the Afghanistan debacle. Every ruling class throughout history advances various claims about its own legitimacy, without which a stable political order is impossible. Legitimating claims can take many different forms and may change over time, but once they become exhausted or lose their credibility, that is pretty much it.
What Schmitt is saying is that when the legitimating claim for a particular form of elite is used up, when people no longer believe in the concepts or claims that underpin a particular system or claim to rule, the extinction of that particular elite becomes a foregone conclusion. Once Napoleon came along, it became increasingly impossible to actually believe (or at least effect a suspension of disbelief) that kings were born to rule and had a right to rule. As such, the only argument kings were left with in order to be tolerated by their own subjects became practical in nature: look at how useful this king is, look at how well his administration runs, look at how much stuff you’re getting out of letting him sit on the throne. But once you are merely left with practical arguments of that kind, as Schmitt rightly points out, your replacement becomes a question of simple empiricism. The moment someone more useful is found – like, say, a president – out you go, never to return. The replacement of Louis XVI with a republic was a world-shattering event. The fall of his nephew, Louis Philippe I, in favor of another republic, was a mere formality by comparison. By the time of his fall, not even Louis Philippe himself believed in kings being some sort of semi-divine beings. Certainly almost none of his subjects did.
Moreover, on a more practical level, the war in Afghanistan became another sort of crucible. In very real terms, Afghanistan turned into a testbed for every single innovation in technocratic PMC governance, and each innovation was sold as the next big thing that would make previous, profane understandings of politics obsolete. In Afghanistan ”big data” and the utilization of ever expanding sets of technical and statistical metrics was allowed to topple old stodgy ideas of dead white thinkers such as Sun Tzu or Machiavelli, as ”modern” or ”scientific” approaches to war could have little to learn from the primitive insights of a pre-rational order. In Afghanistan, military sociology in the form of Human Terrain Teams and other innovative creations were unleashed to bring order to chaos. Here, the full force of the entire NGO world, the brightest minds of that international government-in-waiting without a people to be beholden to, were given a playground with nearly infinite resources at their disposal. There was so much money sloshing around at the fingertips of these educated technocrats that it became nearly impossible to spend it all fast enough; they simply took all of those countless billions of dollars straight from the hands of ordinary americans, because they believed they had a right to do so.
Put plainly: managers, through the power of managerialism, were once believed to be able to mobilize science and reason and progress to accomplish what everyone else could not, and so only they could secure a just and functional society for their subjects, just as only the rightful kings of yore could count on Providence and God to do the same thing. At their core, both of these claims are truly metaphysical, because all claims to legitimate rulership are metaphysical. It is when that metaphysical power of persuasion is lost that kings or socialists become ”bourgeois”, in Schmitt’s terms. They have to desperately turn toward providing proof, because the genuine belief is gone. But once a spouse starts demanding that the other spouse constantly prove that he or she hasn’t been cheating, the marriage is already over, and the divorce is merely a matter of time, if you’ll pardon the metaphor.
I suspect we are currently witnessing the catastrophic end of this metaphysical power of legitimacy that has shielded the managerial ruling class for decades. Anyone even briefly familiar with the historical record knows just how much of a Pandora’s box such a loss of legitimacy represents. The signs have obviously been multiplying over many years, but it is only now that the picture is becoming clear to everyone. When Michael Gove said ”I think the people in this country have had enough of experts” in a debate about the merits of Brexit, he probably traced the contours of something much bigger than anyone really knew at the time. Back then, the acute phase of the delegitimization of the managerial class was only just beginning. Now, with Afghanistan, it is impossible to miss.
It is not just that the elite class is incompetent – even kings could be incompetent without undermining belief in monarchy as a system – it is that they are so grossly, spectacularly incompetent that they walk around among us as living rebuttals of meritocracy itself. It is that their application of managerial logic to whatever field they get their grubby mitts on – from homelessness in California to industrial policy to running a war – makes that thing ten times more expensive and a hundred times more dysfunctional. To make the situation worse, the current elites seem almost serene in their willful destruction of the very fields they rely on for legitimacy. When the ”experts” go out of their way to write public letters about how covid supposedly only infects people who hold demonstrations in support of ”structural white supremacy”, while saying that Black Lives Matter demonstrations pose no risk of spreading the virus further, this amounts to the farmer gleefully salting his own fields to make sure nothing can grow there in the future. How can anyone expect the putative peasants of our social order to ”trust the science”, when the elites themselves are going out of their way, against all reason and the tenets of basic self-preservation, to make such a belief completely impossible even for those who really, genuinely, still want to believe?
I find it very likely that most future historians will put the date of the real beginning of the collapse of the current political and geopolitical order right here, right now, at the US withdrawal from Afghanistan. Just as with any other big historical process, however, many others will point out that the seeds of the collapse were sown much farther back, and that a case can be made for several other dates, or perhaps no specific date at all. This is how we modern people look at the fall of the french ancien regime, after all. Still, it is quite obvious that the epoch of the liberal technocrat is now over. The bell has well and truly tolled for mankind’s belief in their ability to do anything else than enrich themselves and ruin things for everyone else.
How long it will take for their institutions to disappear, or before they end up toppled by popular discontent and revolution, no one can know. But at this point, I think most people on some level now understand that it really is only a matter of time.

if you dont mind me asking, why do people ship spifey and tapL? it seems cute and all, but are there some interactions or collabs ive missed because i dont know how the ship actually started ( or maybe just, why do you ship it?)
oh dear anon, you have no idea what kind of pandoras box youve just unleashed on the world. and ofc i dont mind you asking! ive wanted to talk about this for a while <3
if u wanna hear my spifL ramblings, click read more bc i dont wanna clog up everyones feeds:
1. starting off with the thing that got me interested at first: roommates. Spifey, TapL, and Skeppy were roommates for like three months in LA from I think December to February? Or January to March. It’s not a secret that a lot of people love the dynamic of roommates in ships, and it so happened that skephalo has always been super popular, leaving Spifey and TapL as the obvious roommates to ship.
2. height difference. My numbers may be wrong but apparently Spifey’s like 6′2 and TapL’s like 5′6? I’m sure those aren’t the accurate numbers, but it’s pretty clear there’s a big height difference between them and I just thought it was kinda cute!
2.5. On that note, the general size difference between them. This is most apparent when you look at their hands. I’m not gonna go out and actively look for them for this post bc that feels a lil weird to me, but Spifey’s done a handcam for a video and TapL’s shown his hands both on Twitter when he shows off his nails and on YouTube in his 100 burgers video. I wouldn’t call TapL’s hands small by any means, but I’d say it’s clear Spifey’s hands are bigger than his. And like, one of the staples of fandom is smaller person and Tall Person.
3. Then you get into the kind of content they make. Spifey’s main content is using mods and other packs to confuse the hell out of his friends. TapL’s main content is hosting different UHC scenarios. While they don’t seem similar on the surface at all, both are the kind of content creators that need to keep innovating for their stuff to land to an audience, the kind whose creativity is vital to the success of their channels. I’m aware that the creativity aspect applies to other creators as well, but this only plays a small part in why I ship it. They’re both immensely creative people who I think would benefit from hanging around each other and feeding each others’ creativity.
4. They have a lot of history, though not too much is really public since TapL doesn’t do collabs with people outside the PvP sphere very often. They both appear in Skeppy’s 2018 vidcon vlog, so they had to have known each other for at least two years. But they seem close in the video, so tack on another half a year or so and they’ve been friends for a long time.
5. And their dynamic. The ship has a softer, quieter sort of dynamic than a lot of the Big Ships. TapL and Spifey are both on the quieter side of their friend groups (though I hesitate to say they’re quiet because really, they’re not) and tend to be more quietly chaotic than they are overtly (see: all of Spifey’s videos with Zelk and Vurb in them and that one time TapL leashed a fox on the Idots SMP and called it Fundy and actually treated it well compared to how the Idots treated their pets in the game). I think that makes for a really interesting dynamic where they both know how to have fun and laugh with each other, but they also have just as many moments of quiet between them where they’re just enjoying each others’ company. It’s the sort of dynamic where they can either join the chaos others are creating (and their friend group certainly creates a whole lot of chaos) or they can sit back and watch them fight while snickering to each other. Variety of possibilities!
5.5. That being said, TapL is definitely the more loudly chaotic and confrontational of the two of them. Spifey laughs a lot while being chaotic and he doesn’t usually raise his voice unless he needs to. On the other hand, TapL COMMITS to the bit and is quicker to yell (see: that one time Zelk tried to make ZapL a thing). I just think the dynamic of one (1) man trying to rein in his stupid boyfriend’s chaos while still remaining generally supportive is a funny one to imagine.
5.75. As another note on their dynamic, TapL is one to catch onto the bit very quickly while adding his own flavor of humor to the whole situation, and Spifey’s the one to create the bit in the first place. Those sorts of personalities mesh well together. You can’t have a bit if there’s no one to escalate it, and you can’t escalate a bit if there’s no bit to escalate in the first place. (see: that one stream where Spifey started eating a banana sideways and TapL saw him so he decided to take a banana and eat it sideways. Additionally, their collab on Spifey’s channel)
6. this is really stupid but they both also have nicknames? Like, people call TapL Harv and they call Spifey Geo and i just thought that was pretty neat.
7. They’re literally so supportive of each other and it’s so clear they respect each other so much and they’re such great friends i just... ANONNNNNN IVE SPENT TWO HOURS ON THIS POST I JUST LOVE THEM SO MUCH ;-; heres some interactions to make up for my lack of words
“BRITISH PEOPLE ARE NOT REAL” “3 months in la - i was merely an illusion” “You were nothing more than a bunch of mirrors and reflections”
“hey, thanks for existing ❤️“ “anytime ❤️ i miss la”
[picture of a spider on Spifey’s face] “UK spiders be like: “Roight, wots ol this then ?”
“@spifeyy happy birthday 🎉🎉🎉“ “<3″ (i would also like to note that TapL posted the birthday tweet just a bit after it hit midnight BST, not in his time zone)
Spifey’s perspective on vidcon 2018
the skittles thing on spifey’s vlog channel (tapL shows up near the end)
And also they teaming for MCU along with Vurb and Finn!!!!
anyone, feel free to add onto this! and once again, thank u for the question, anon <3

PLAYLIST SHUFFLE TAG!
Okay, so @viterbofangirl tagged me in this and I need to start learning to post my own shit, so what the hell, why not?
Rules: you can usually tell a lot about a person by the type of music they listen to! put your favorite playlist on shuffle and list the first 10 15 songs, then tag 10 people. no skipping!
(I couldn’t stop at 10 so I added 5 more, sue me)
I have very random music taste and I listen to my music on shuffle alot, so I made a playlist of the ones I like the most (that way I don’t hafta skip 150 songs to get to the one I feel like) so I’m gonna use that one.
1) History of Violence - Theory of a Deadman
Hoo boy starting off light huh?.... Yeah so, I was in the drive thru at Sonic when I first heard this on the radio and was immediately like “holy shit”. Instead of like metaphors and poetic subtlety, it’s just straight up like “here’s a poor abused woman who resorted to murdering her shitty boyfriend/husband cuz she couldn’t take it dum dum dum”. Even though the actual situation is not the same, this song is perfect for getting across the internal issues and turmoil of my character Mikey. Its so perfect I’m even planning to animate something for it...... if I ever get around to learning animation that is.....
2) The Vengeful One - Disturbed
Two songs in and I look kinda emo.... But hey this song is soooooo cathartic! I love me a good heavy rock song, and the drums and electric guitar are perfect for my ears to absorb. This song gives off a feeling of overwhelming power mixed with a coldness and disdain for the bad in the world. Obviously, thats not my usual temperment, but its an interesting one to explore! Especially when I’m trying to get into the head of characters that exude that like my OCs Spark or Ryu. Plus its fun to sing in the car X)
3) Enter Sandman - Metallica
Okay this one is just a classic! Same thing with the drums and guitar they both slap SOOOOO GOOD. I don’t really associate this song with any of my characters or fandom favorites, but it DOES give me a super strong urge to learn the drums. EXXXXXXXXIT LIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT! OFF TO NEVER NEVERLAND!!
4) We Are Giants - Lindsey Stirling ft. Dia Frampton
I don’t really to listen to music by band or artist, but I LOVE Lindsey Stirling!!! She’s probably my favorite musician! This is such a good song, especially for someone like me. Its a positive song that talks about feeling alone in a crowd and unimportant to the world, but how you really do matter and shouldn’t be afraid to dream big and shoot for the stars. It really speaks to me and the vocalization is so good (especially for singing), not to mention the official music video is animated and AMAZING!
5) Cetus - Lensko NCS
I dunno if anyone knows this song, but damn its good. Its one of those Royalty-Free songs that people look up for their channels, which is how I found it in the first place, but I loved it immediately. Its a peppy 8-bit electronic bop that turns a little Irish jig at the end and honestly I think if I ever start an animation channel I’m totally gonna use it! (Also go support Lensko he make good beats!)
6) Sanctuary - Utada Hikaru
I did not grow up with Kingdom Hearts, and only played KH2 within the past year n’ a half. But good God, the moment that Cinematic Opening came on and this song started playing I swear I astral projected into a daze of feelings without names. I know that “Simple and Clean” is the quintessential Kingdom Heart song that gives everyone feelings, but IMHO Sanctuary blows it out of the water. As beautiful as the animation was, or how curious the occasional backwards lyrics are, or how weird it is having high-res Goofy and Donald in what is essentially an anime opening, I really can’t be distracted from this song when I play.
7) Chemical Plant Zone (Rock Remix) - Zerobadniks
Chemical Plant Song is like, one of the TOP Sonic songs by popular vote (and we know how awesome the Sonic series is musically so thats saying something!), but I could never quite vibe with the normal 8-bit version. I think I first heard this as someone’s ringtone and was immediately like “THATS PERFECT THATS EXACTLY HOW I NEED IT!”. The rock makes the song soooo much better and honestly gives the song the perfect vibe. Unfortunately, it took FOREVER to find cuz none of the Rock Covers of this song were the right one. In fact, tbh, I’m not even sure whether Zerobadniks is the correct artist..... that’s just who everybody was crediting when I found it.
(imma include the link i found since its a little hard to find: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqJiZEM6aPI )
8) The Wolf - SIAMES
YOU WANNA TALK ABOUT ANIMATED MUSIC VIDEOS???? THIS IS A GOD-TIER ANIMATED MUSIC VIDEO. I found the video first, and seriously, if you haven’t seen it YOU NEED TO!!! The beat works perfectly with the images on screen and the story being portrayed is really intriguing, with the lyrics adding to atmosphere without necessarily describing the visuals shown. Even without the animation, the song itself is a banger. It bring to mind the feeling of intense motion forward, but unable to decide whether its movement TOWARD something or AWAY from something. I love listening to this on a nighttime drive.
9) Burn the House Down - AJR
If you ask me, the best way to make a pop song better is to add either violins or trumpets. For this song, it was definitely the trumpets that first caught my attention, and the rest of the song kept me listening. I don’t really know how to describe the vibe of this song, and I don’t have a specific character or story in mind when I listen to it, so its a little hard for me to talk about it. I think the best way I can describe this song and what draws me to it is a feeling of nonchalant go-with-the-flow attitude to shenaniganry. Almost an undertone of “We’re hooligans in a situation that we probably should get out of, but hey we’ve got life and each other so why worry?” At least that’s the closest I can get to a verbal description heh...
10) Slim Pickens Does the Right Thing and Rides the Bomb to Hell - The Offspring
DANCE, FUCKER, DANCE, LET THE MOTHERFUCKER BURN!!!
So this also has a KICKASS animated music video, but its technically combined with the song “Dividing by Zero”. Now the video works SO well with both, and the shifting artstyles reflect the differing tones of the songs PERFECTLY. However, I have a preference for both the animation and the song on the Slim Pickens half. Its fun to listen to and sing at the top of your lungs and its SO CATHARTIC. Again I cant really describe what my head does when I hear it, but I think you can probably feel a similar vibe if you watch the music video.
11) No Heaven - DJ Champion
The first time I finished the original Borderlands, I had been playing for days on end, had just finished a long battle with the Destroyer, and sitting back relieved to have beaten it and reflecting on how much I had enjoyed the adventure. Then this song started playing. For what I believe was forty minutes this song looped on my TV while the credits rolled. By the time the credits finished I was pulling up the song to listen to again! What an absolutely PERFECT cherry to add to this experience. This song perfectly encapsulated the chaotic, trigger-happy, morally ambiguous craziness that I had enjoyed and absorbed in this game. Every time I hear it now, I imagine myself in the wastelands of Pandora, driving haphazardly across the sandy dunes as my companions and I shoot and blow up everything in sight. You know, living the dream.......
12) Hit & Run (Wolfgang Lohr Remix) -  The Electric Swing Circus
I fucking LOVE electro-swing! The electronic beats and rhythm blend so well with the wild and energetic freedom of swing. A lot of electro-swing gives me a vibe of wild movement, reckless abandon, and freedom from constraint. I think this song melds all of these feelings the best! As the last song might have indicated, despite my general nice and sweet temperament, there is a part of me deep down that is an absolute gremlin secretly enamored with chaos, insanity, and a general disdain for law and authority X). But whereas anything Borderlands related has a more “morality is an illusion blowing shit up is real” air about it, this song is far more peppy. More of a “good-hearted but insane” type of chaos, like an 100mph car chase where you end up sailing over the train tracks JUST as the train passes.
.... I may have gotten a bit off track lol
13) Kickstart my Heart - Motley Crue
I love this song, but I have to be VERY careful when and where I listen to this. I love songs that make me feel like I’m going a million miles per hour, like I’m gotdam Sonic the Hedgehog. Unfortunately, I may or may not have had multiple instances of listening to this song in the car and abruptly realizing that I’m going like 15mph above the speed limit...... So yeah, regardless of absolutely perfect it feels to play this song while speeding down a nearly empty highway, please be careful and drive responsibly!!!
14) I’m Born to Run - American Authors
Imma just up and say it. This song is a Sonic song; like not like actually from the series but a song for the character. This song encapsulates Sonic as a character better than some of his ACTUAL THEMES (and remember Sonic music are bangers!). Its a song about freedom, living life as it comes, and not letting anything slow you down. Frankly I’m surprised they didn’t make this song FOR the Sonic series, or even the movie! Speaking of which, ironically I heard this song right after watching the Sonic movie in theaters, so yeah there’s no way I can associate it with anything else.
15) Opa Opa - Antique
Oh, what a PERFECT way to end this list! This may be one of my absolute favorite songs of all time! I don’t remember exactly how I found this song... I think I had just relistened to Dalar Mehndi’s “Tunak Tunak Tun” and was looking for other catchy non-english songs and BOY HOWDY I found one! I know nothing about the band or what the song’s about (its in greek and i dont speak it), but this song is just a masterpiece of retro, pop, and dance sounds. This song feels like the musical and lyrical manifestation of dance and movement. I really REALLY wish I could dance JUST so I can express how happy and free this song makes me feel! This is the BEST song for me to end this list with!
***********************************************************************************
JESUS, this got long..... Sorry about that XD. It was fun though, and hopefully somebody was vaguely interested in my ramblings.
Guess I need to tag people now? How about @tharkflark1, @rockmilkshake, @neonbuck, @drawingsdrawingseverywhere, @birthgiverofbirds, @puccafangirl, @kalcat, @biblestudybussybopsbabey, @monstrous-milktea, and @memecage! I think there are a couple of people here I haven’t talked to though soooooo..... hi, I hope you don’t mind the tag X)
Anyway hope you enjoyed and/or want to do this too! This took for-fucking-EVER to type, so imma go fuck off and watch youtube or something now...
