Meteos 20th Anniversary!
Yes, I know it s a day early, but it's March 10th in Japan time. I put a bunch of references to different games in the Meteos franchise, can you recognize them?

Note
Here are some cool little alien guys from the DS game Meteos.
1. Geolite/Geolyte
2. Igniusian/Firime
What I want to know is: What do you think of them and which do you prefer?

Never heard of that DS game, but they look very cute! If I had to choose one I would choose the blue one, because they seem more friendly in a way XD

Fun little what-if of Miraak being a Geolyte from the much-maligned Meteos games.

Hm...
I like gemstones, but I'm considering ditching the gemstone theming for Tsuki's Japanese banks in favor of naming them after Meteos planets
(EMERALD -> GEOLYTE, RUBY -> FIRIM, SAPPHIRE -> OLEANA, maybe OBSIDIAN -> GRAVITAS, etc.?)...
Alternatively, I could pocket these and use them for when I start recording appends for Natsuno:
"MV-Core" -> Geolyte, "MZ-Flame" -> Firim, "MZ-Blizzard" -> Oleana "MZ-Thunder" -> Anasaze
Hmmmm... Much to think about.

Meteos March day 30: Accessorize!
In certain games of the Meteos franchise, you can put accessories on your characters. In Meteos Online, the human avatar can wear items and clothing. In that same game, Geolytes can be seen dressed up in winter attire in the winter version of their planet, or holding dango in the spring version of their planet as well. In Meteos Wars, the aliens of the planet you play as can wear various objects such as a piece of meat of an alien on their heads. And in the more obscure Meteos for Kakao, the Geolyte and the Forter can be seen wearing accessories (a crown and a bow, respectively) as an alternate variant of their icons.

Decided to do a Meteos height comparison to show how cursed the scale of the different species is. Measurements are in metres and are taken from the Meteos wiki, rounded to the nearest tenth, with the exception of ones smaller than a tenth of a measurement. The Seven Sages, Thirnovans, Brabbiters, Wiralons, Unknowns and Stadiums, as well as the the Astro Blocks-exclusive species, aren't included due to lacking a canon size, and Meteo isn't counted due to being 1,200,000km wide, plus it's a planet rather than a species.
The columns are coloured like their respective species' primary colour; ones with multiple sizes use the secondary colour (where applicable; otherwise a lighter shade of their primary) for the smaller one.
Zoomable version here. Data below, with decimal values converted into their respective units of measurement (e.g 0.4m becomes 40cm).
Layazero - 1mm Megadomer - 10cm Vubblie - 10cm Globinite (small) - 10cm Limotubian - 10cm Floriasian - 20cm Boggobian - 20cm Hanihulan - 30cm Jeljellian (small) - 40cm Luna=Lunarian - 40cm Grannestian (small) - 50cm Oleanan - 50cm Lastaral - 50cm Bavoomian - 70cm Dawndusian - 70cm Dejehrian - 70cm Ranbarumban - 80cm Geolyte - 90cm Lumiousian - 90cm Gravitase - 1m Caviousian - 1m Starriing - 1m Gelyern - 1.2m Mekkian - 1.4m Firime - 1.5m Arodian - 2m Darthvegan - 2.4m Anasazean - 2.5m Forter - 3m Wuudite - 6m Yoojic - 10m Suburbionite - 18m Globinite (large) - 20m Gigagusher - 23m Hotted - 30m Freazer - 40m Grannestian (large) - 50m Jeljellian (large) - 70m

"Meteos in Smash" double-feature.
A "Meteos" fighter that fights using the eponymous blocks and the game's various power-ups, and is represented by a team of three members of the various in-game species (more on that later). The Meteos connect if one hits the side of another, and getting a line of three or more launches any opponents above them. The costumes are Geolytes (Cyan/default), Oleanans (Blue), Grannestians (Grey), Hevendorians/Sages (White), Boggobians (Green), Caviousians (Purple), Starriings (Pink), and Firimes (Red); any canon size-differences are ignored, with the individual aliens being slightly shorter than Mario. Their final smash is a 3D recreation of the travelling cutscenes from Star Trip mode, with the Metamo Ark ramming into the opponent.
A Geolyte spirit represented by two blue Mr. Game & Watches fought on Final Destination, with Thwomp assist-trophies and X-Bombs as the only items.
