Would anyone be interested in purchasing a GR themed acrylic keychain with this design? If I make them, I'll probably sell them for about 12$ USD. I want them to have a glitter effect, which costs more to produce.
The big watermark won't be on the final keychain by the way, I just don't want anyone to steal this design. You can find the poll here.

In response to your GR couples post: Alberto had a wife that’s mentioned a couple times in a few GR books. Her name is Kosanjou, and she died sometime after Sunny was born. They don’t say how, but I headcanon there were complications following Sunny’s birth. She looks like this:
Tumblr media
oh wow, she’s really pretty! Second diversity win, Sunny the magician is mixed race like Genya and Ginrei are. :3
I suspected I might hear from you about Alberto, though he’d also fall into the category that Von Fogler falls into. She existed, he’s got a kid, but since she’s not actually *there* I wouldn’t count her for the sake of the joke. This is super neat to know, though.

Some illustrations from recent episodes of Off the Cuff!!
I've been forgetting to post these individually, so here's eight of 'em at once! I spend about 30 minutes on each drawing for this series, always talking about something I take inspiration from. Here's some stuff from Sonic, Snatcher, RoboCop, Mystery Skulls Animated, Trigun, Giant Robo, and Tetsujin 28!
You can check out all episodes of Off the Cuff so far over here!

So, since getting into mecha more than I used to (thanks again Witch from Mercury), I've learned that the trio of anime dudes grinning like unhinged gargoyles are the OG Getter Robo team (Hayato, Musashi, and Ryoma, pictured below).
Tumblr media
I can see why it's been popular for memes and fan art (there's even one featuring Miorine Rembran, Suletta Mercury, and Chuatury Panlunch in these poses), but having just watched Shin Getter Robo vs Neo Getter Robo, I'd like to voice my appreciation of the Go Team's version in the first picture, being both a callback to their predecessors while also distinguished from them.
(I particularly like that, while I don't know yet know how well Getter Robo in general handles its female cast, at the very least Sho Tachibana's expression here is just as unhinged as her male peers' [Gai Daido and Go Ichimonji], and while I appreciate that's not a very high bar to clear, it's still better than too many media ever do).

Happy (early) White day! 🖤🤍
White day is a holiday in which people give reciprocal gifts to those who gave them gifts one month after Valentine's day. I wonder who's lucky enough to get gifts from these two.

The Weekly Orbit [4/15/24]
It's mostly smooth sailing as we enter the second week of the season. Coverage for Mysterious Disappearances and Himitsu no AiPri premieres, plus Dungeon Meshi, Train to the End of the World, Pokemon Horizons, Giant Robo, and an intriguing Pixiv manga.
The Weekly Orbit is a weekly column collecting and refining my more casual anime- and manga-related thoughts from the previous week, mostly, these are taken from my tumblr blog, and assume familiarity with the works covered. Be wary of spoilers! We move into our second week of the new season, and things are mostly going steady with only a couple of comparative curveballs. Plus; an interesting…

Response to your ask: I remember finding a fan doujin on The Internet Archive that has fan art of Kosanjou. I thought it was official artwork at first, but it's like a "what if" scenario for what she could've looked like in the OVAs.
Text says:
""Ten Feet of Blue" Kosanjou"
"Wife of Alberto the impact (deceased) and mother of Sunny/Sally. In Water Margin (Suikoden), she's the only woman among the heroes. Therefore, she has many male fans."
Tumblr media
“She has many male fans” jkadshfl indeed, though idk if Youshi has the same appeal as Ginrei clearly does, so maybe she wouldn’t have as many fans as that.
I couldn’t see her standing side by side with Alberto in the OVA itself, maybe it’s a lack of creativity on my part, but I think it’d be out of place within the context of the story being told. But she’s still awesome and I think she would’ve been very cool in motion!

Took a brief hiatus on cleaning the Giant Robo settei to scan this doujinshi! This was first published in 1994, but was later revised in 1995. This doujinshi is mostly 4koma comics, but the middle section contains character biographies, along with a newspaper parody!! You can read it here:
