Another post! This time featuring what the antagonists for my AU might look like. While Akane and Nekomaru are locked in the rest is up to changes in the future. Kyoko and Celestia were put on a poll but the results I believe I didn't set up properly, so now I'm amending that somewhat. I drew both sets in these sketches, and when enough time has passed I'll set up another poll, properly this time on strawpoll.
As for some design explanations and lore you can check under the cut :)
Tumblr media
Kyoko and Makoto I believe are pretty straightforward here, I gave Kyoko a neckerchief that goes pretty far down to give her that sort of upper class educated look, while Makoto I gave a smart little jacket. There's only so far you can go with the normal boy, but I also made his hair fluffier and nicer. His ahoge is there but it's normally combed back, and only springs to full life when he's in murder mode.
Kyoko joined her dad in leaving the tradition of detective work behind and entered the business world where she used her analytical mind to be the best damn stock investor in the world, while definitely something she excels at it's not something she finds particularly fulfilling.
Makoto is a wholesome, normal dude who loves writing books about wholesome stories with good endings, while his family was and still is normal, he was captured once by unscrupulous scientists wanting to explore Despair and its mysterious qualities. Makoto never gave in, but in his suffering developed an alter ego who was grimly invested in justice above all else.
Sparkling Justice is a night haunter, who exclusively goes around killing murderers and evildoers against Makoto's wishes. Choosing to right any injustice he sees in the world, allowing for happy endings for the victims, surely?

I went hard with celes and hifumi a long time ago in previous designs, so here they are with similar designs as I gave them before. Hifumi wears a suit vest, and a button-up underneath while still keeping his bag... which may or may not be more than just a simple bag...
Celestia was born a normal kid and absolutely hated that life, so when a relative of hers from Europe visited she begged them and her family to go with them and she did. She grew up exploring Europe, and would propose money-making schemes to her family abroad and would eventually be able to fund the glamorous lifestyle she always thought she deserved.
Hifumi is just a writer-focused version of himself, though with a particular love for action-romance novels and fiction rather than strictly heart-melting novels like Touko. He's a sweet boy but very weird and horny for Celestia, so he's completely useless around her. He's basically a tool... just like...
ROBO-JUSTICE is a serial killer known for their modus operandi of targeting particularly attractive and very mean women with hammers or blunt force trauma. This alter was formed after one particularly awful night of bullying resulting in Hifumi getting thrown into an abandoned industrial park and nearly dying from exposure to wires and sharp metal. Despite this though, it is almost entirely subservient to Celestia whenever it surfaces from Hifumi's mind.
Tumblr media
Akane and Nekomaru I've already drawn before, but I think it'd be nice to give some of the backstory I've planned for them.
Akane is a well-meaning, brash, and reckless person whose freakish natural strength pairs with a luck that does everything except help her directly. Random and unpredictable, Akane desperately tries everything she can to get into extremely unpredictable and dangerous situation for her luck to grace those around her with the best outcome from her misfortune, even if it means hurting a lot of people in the process.
Nekomaru was inspired by the nonstop hard work he saw the nurses had to do when they were treating his heart condition. So inspired that he made it his solemn vow to join them whatever it took, leading him to become the ultimate nurse. He would, however, be the first of his classmates to fall to the despair of the mastermind, as his well-meaning nature drew him into a trap he could not predict.
Tumblr media
For Rantaro and Tenko I took inspiration from M. Bison(Dictator) and Criss Angel specifically. These are the most experimental designs I have as you can tell, but I plan on working on them a lot.
Tenko's story involves her becoming the head of her little "dojo" and straight up turning it into a cult, with her as the ultimate supreme leader and the greatest fighter in the world.
Rantaro started off doing magic for her sisters, and got so good at making them happy that one of them introduced his magic act to the world through sites like youtube, causing him to become a sensation drooled over by millions of girls around the world.

Hello! I just saw both of your Earthspark Bumblebee and Megatron Fics with the little Robo-Babies, and they were so adorable and wholesome💖 So I was wondering if you could maybe write something like that for Earthspark Optimus?
Thank you, I have such an absolute blast writing them! I hope you enjoy the ultimate robot dad being an official dad.

Though you were not more than a fraction of his size, Optimus had long since acclimated himself to observing all of your movements, his powerful senses attuned to your gestures and expressions so he could be ready the instant you needed him. It had seemed like overkill on multiple occasions, but as your due date had approached, you'd admittedly been grateful to have a three story warrior always on the lookout. Thankfully he hadn't needed to jump to your rescue with anything more than a rare snack brand when the cravings hit, but the peace of mind had been priceless. You couldn't imagine the benefits would be any less appreciated now that your bitlet had arrived.
Your theory was proven true as soon as your first sleep was interrupted by the newborn crying out to wake you, your eyes snapping open in an exhausted daze before you got a sense of your surroundings. The medical bay was dark, but you needed little light when Optimus awoke beside you and turned his gaze in your direction, his optics fully illuminating you, the mattress you'd been sleeping on, and the bassinet between you both. As he rolled onto his side with considerable care not to disturb either of his much smaller bunk mates, you scootched over to the wailing bitlet and pulled them into your arms, shushing the tiny femme as she instinctively curled into you.
"Is something wrong, love?" he asked with concern, hovering at a distance for your safety. Settling back on your mattress and its ample pillows, you bounced the little one to soothe her as you had been taught, quieting the worst of her cries but failing to return her to the sleep you so desperately needed. Tiny digits clung tightly to your shirt as the newborn whimpered and fussed, her tiny lip quivering as she nuzzled against you and allowed you to figure out what was upsetting her.
"N-no, she already ate, I think she's just fussy. It is a little chilly in here..." you sighed before yawning, noting the cold without caring too much about it. As exhausted as you were, you could have easily fallen asleep on the chilly stone floor then and there, but the poor sparkling was obviously desperate for warmth judging by how she shivered against you. Protective instincts allowed you to push through the exhaustion and cradle her close.
"Are you cold as well?" Optimus asked with further concern, still on his side atop the padded berth but now fully awake. There was little he hadn't fretted over since discovering your condition, and while that had become thoroughly overwhelming at times, at the moment you very much appreciated the concern.
"A bit, but I'm too tired to care." you replied after a moment of thought, trying to get the warmth in your body to transfer to the little being shivering against you. Soft affection made your heart flutter as her optics cracked open to look up at you, the innocence in her tiny gaze making you want to move heaven and earth even if you didn't have the strength to move yourself. Content just to let her absorb your body heat until she was comfortable, you yawned and allowed her to take hold of one of your offered fingers, finding it calmed her down enough for your sleepy brain to think about other things. "Once we move into the nursery, I'll make sure she's got a space heater. But for now, she can cuddle me."
Optimus, always looking out for you, seemed unsatisfied with the idea despite nodding in approval.
"Perhaps I can assist, in the interim." he offered gently after a moment of thoughtful silence. Too tired to question much of anything, you were unprepared when he scooped up the mattress you and the bitlet were seated on, his digits cupping it gently enough you were barely disturbed. Rolling onto his back and laying the mattress over his chassis, he ensured you were steady before meeting your gaze with a somewhat bashful smile. "How is this? Are you comfortable?"
Before you could process the shift, your bitlet cooed as the warm air of his ventilations washed over you both, the cozy heat of his spark rising up through the bedding to fend off the chill that had so offended your bitlet. Trilling happily, she nuzzled her helm and nubby finials into the crook of your neck as she got right back to sleeping. Though little more than a speck next to her massive and legendary sire, the sparkling had found nothing but comfort in his presence from the moment she'd come into existence, and you were delighted to see that continue.
"Much better." you confirmed as the bitlet yawned, stubby servo disappearing in her mouth so she could suckle on it through some much needed sleep. Laying down on your side, you tucked in the sparkling and went limp on the mattress, dimly aware of a sizable servo tucking you in before exhaustion brought you back to much needed rest.
Without a word, Optimus smiled and settled back on the berth, his spark humming beneath you as it all but overflowed with love.

Unhappy Campers rewrite - You can't erase what's broken

I feel like from what i could gather from this show, blitzo did something to the circus that damaged everyone along with it. I'd imagine it to be revenge from the mistreatment he gets at the circus (with the mistreatment from his dad along with the favouritism towards fizz (not robo fizz though, I'd make him as a replacement for current fizz ever since his retirement from circus acts or make robo fizz the actual fizz but in a robo esque costume)), being ignorant about what it could do for everyone else involved like barbie or/and fizz, hence plotting a disaster that while destroyed the circus, destroyed everyone on there too. I'd also make it during fizz's big performance hence why he would look so scarred (because apparently white is a colour imps scars have) and he ultimately turns on him.
It could be why he doesn't want to be close to the people he's with in fear of not screwing up (even though he does again with verosika and with his treatment of his employees), he's so full of bottled up self hatred and guilt that he forgot his chances of growing from it, which he tried to do here but it obviously doesn't go well and barbie has every right to not immediately forgive him or hear him out. You can try to fix what's broken but you cannot erase it. No matter what, the damage you done will impact others surround you and it shouldn't stagnate your growth if they cant forgive you for that. Its kinda the whole point of blitzo in this rewrite here, he wont be forgiven by the people he's hurt but he's gonna have to keep on growing, because that's the only thing you can do to not repeat the same mistakes you make.

*claps* Soooo, its been a hot second since I uploaded a Tier list here, and since we're most likely gonna be getting the next batch of Helluva Boss eps pretty soon (dunno if in this exact month or so, given Hazbin Hotel's focus in February .3.), I figure it'd be safe to still give my general opinion of all the HB eps we've gotten so far (from the initial pilot to the Mammon ep). Hope you all enjoy reading!
NOTE: Like with my past tiers, these are all just my own personal opinions listed below, so DO try to keep things civil if you disagree with anything here. Thank you- 🙏
~Fave~
-"Ozzie's" (S1 Ep. 7) By FAR the ep that truly captured all of the show's best qualities into one, and I still find myself going back to it more times than I could count!~ 🤩👏👏Everything from the gorgeously animated Lust ring visuals, the whole climax of the ep being carried out through-song, Fizzarolli & Asmodeus making their debuts as the wickedly fun power couple, and of course there's the major focus to Blitz and Stolas as a whole here :O What started as a faux-date in order for Blitz to sneak into Ozzie's club/spy on M&M, became something that truly tackled the inner flaws to both their characters; Blitz as the emotionally closed-off, insecure imp who finally told off Stolas when-alone ("-Stolas, DON'T act like what we have is anything more than You. Wanting Me. To F*** you. Okay?? You make that really clear, all the time..."), to Stolas's own transgressions being turned against him in-public ("You used to have a smoking wife! A kid! You had it ALL~! I hope you didn't give it up, so you and him could get it ooooon... you sold your life for a thruuuuuust~!")... all resulting in said prince silently reflecting on what he had done, all alone out on his front manor steps, now....💔 Just... daaaaang, now THAT was truly something I never expected to see in a silly, raunchy assassin-focused show like this... but man was I eager for more once the credits came to a close! 😭👏👏
-"Loo-Loo Land" (S1 Ep. 2) Definitely one of the more "classic" S1 eps for alot of people, and the one that most definitely got me into the show full-on~ 😊 While maaaaybe an odd choice to have the second-ever ep of a series focused on a side character (or, in this case a side character's child lol), I was very much invested in Octavia's story the more we got to know her~ 🥺✨ A lonely owl princess who used to be filled with wonder in her childhood years... torn apart by her parents' crumbling marriage (+Stolas' infidelity) as a teenager. And now with her dad trying to recapture old memories by taking her back to Loo-Loo Land, we got a new glimpse into Stolas' character as he does all he can to be a doting (if ignorant) dad, struggling to balance those attributes with his attraction to Blitz (+him & the other IMP antics at the park), only for everything to backfire at the Robo Fizz show in-question. Ultimately, all building up beautifully to Stolas being acknowledged as having acted selfishly ("I just wanna go home, but home doesn't feel like home anymore. You ruined it..."), but at the same time... also showing him capable of admitting when he's wrong, enough to make things right by his daughter 🥹Which just... d'awww, never fails to hit me in the heart ngl~ 🙏💜
~Amazing~
-"Mammon's Magnificent Musical I'm not typing the whole title lol" (S2 Ep. 7) P h e w, quite a mouthful of an ep this was... and yet one I gladly ate up in-full for how entertaining it was!~ 👏👏 Fizzarolli coming back to show more of his insecurities/fears of losing his status in-life, all the great songs and visual imagery to explain his plight, Mammon being a surprisingly fun villain who was both bombastic and threatening, Asmodeus & Blitz serving well as supports to Fizz, and I even loved the smug-but-determined bitch energy for the Glitz & Glam twins~ 👌 Even if part of me kiiiiiinda feels like we could've gotten a whole season's worth of story with Fizz's focus here (as is, we most likely won't get another one of these with him if he's not gonna become a main-stay lead :c), I still very much recommend this one for anyone up for a good bit of musicals, angst, feels and hope for a character like Fizzie~ 🥹💜
-"Oops" (S2 Ep. 6) For the first ep that really dove into Fizzarolli in his own focus plot, this remains a pretty fun ep in alot of different ways! 😄 From Fizz being a chaotically goofy weirdo to root for, his adorable relationship with Asmodeus, the reunion with Blitz bringing back SO much angst and feels (esp as they both got kidnapped), it all really made you invested to see these two work through things once the plot got rolling~ 🥹🙏 Now, was it a "totally" perfect ep? ...Weeeeell, I'll admit I was a bit bummed that Asmodeus didn't get to do a whole lot than just sitting in a boring ol' office, Stolas (though he had some amusing lines) lowkey felt a bit pointless here as he just read a bunch of papers all day, and while I'm glad we got even more of Striker as a threat... idk, him randomly teaming up with Crimson just felt like an odd writing choice ngl .x. BUT hey, we got to see Blitz and Fizz finally making that move to amend things between them, some interesting plot potential with Stolas buying an Asmodean crystal (most likely to end his "deal" with Blitz), and the potential for Fizz to truly shine as a main lead really made it a worthwhile ep nonetheless~ :3
-"Truth Seekers" (S1 Ep. 6) The penultimate ep before the S1 finale, and boy was it a thrilling one!~ 👀 Even if the main human characters from the DHORK agency weren't too terribly interesting, the rest of the ep remained pretty solid in getting us invested to the action!👍From all the intense action of IMP racing to save one another from the human agents, the deep dives into Blitz & Moxxie's psyche as they reveal their genuine value to one another as friends (beyond just the snarky jests/insults), and even that end shot of the humans revealing they've captured everything on-camera really added to the stakes for what our protagonists could get into next~ :O Now, granted I can see why some could take issue with certain parts like the deus-ex-machina style ending (cool as it was seeing Stolas becoming an eldritch horror lol), along with some of the conflicting implications from Blitz's "trip" (like, are we meant to see Stolas in a good light with all that golden/“heavenly” imagery… or someone we’re meant to root against with Blitz being chained to him? .-.), but ultimately its not enough to take me out of the ep overall imo.
~Great~
-"Harvest Moon Festival" (S1 Ep. 5) As the first-ever introduction to our fave cowboy Striker, I'd say I still find myself having fun going back to this ep here & there :). Seeing his sly charm & charisma with our main leads, his genuine strength during the competition/end fight with the IMP crew, and the way he was able to break through Blitz's own inner-struggles with Hell's hierarchy ("-You are SO above suckin' on a disgusting, rich, pompous Goetia, only to sneak topside for scraps and work for bitter sinners, who could care less who you are, when you could be slaying Overlords...")... was just peak character-building, right there~ 👌👌 With all that said... why is this ep not ranked higher with the others above? ...Well, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a lil salty that this turned out to NOT be a Millie-centered ep T-T. Like... come oooon, we're right here in her hometown, her whole family's here, AND there's a whole competition about Imp fighting & Wrathian strength... you're seriously gonna give most of the spotlight to Moxxie instead, and then leave poor Millie more to the sidelines (even during the big Striker battle)? Smhhhh... -n-
-"Queen Bee" (S1 Ep. 8) About time we finally got the "official" last ep of S1... and though not quiiiite as grandiose compared to "Ozzie's", I couldn't help having fun with it nonetheless ^^. The Gluttony ring visuals were pretty, Bee(zlebub) was a fun new character, we got to see Vortex back as a supportive bud to Loona's struggles at the party, and even Loona & Blitz's father & daughter-bond focus (esp during the ending) was honestly pretty touching 🥺 Though, sadly I can't quiiiite rank this one much higher, due to this more-or-less being on the "filler"-range of eps (and Loona's development here unfortunately not carried through to S2... which ironically aired before this one did, so... oof >>; ), its still nice seeing the final vision of it after so long of waiting for it way back then 😊
-"Spring Broken" (S1 Ep. 3) One of the more "low-stakes" eps of the series, but one I still find a nice bit of charm too on its own accord ^^. We got a fun mix of cattiness from Blitz and his popstar-ex Verosika, Loona showing more of a softer side through her crush on Vortex, and a fun change of scenery by having the main IMP gang go up to challenge the Succubi at the beach (-all over a petty disagreement about a parking space, of all things lol). Granted, I do wish we could've actually seen more of a proper resolution to Blitz & Loona's fight (rather than them abruptly dropping it for a monster fish threat (+Moxxie getting drunk)?), but nonetheless its a nice lil palette-cleanser for those who want a break from shipping drama & angst :>
~Good~
-"Helluva Boss" (aka: The Pilot) While it may not be considered "canon" anymore in the grand scheme of things... I honestly can't help still having a soft spot for the original pilot that kicked off this whole series ^^. For the time, it was a nice mix of casting we got from Blitz introducing his classic "raunchy dumbass" self, Moxxie being more of a down-to-earth snarker to Blitz's antics than a punching bag, and even those like Loona & Millie had a nice bit of "bite" to their characterizations (that didn't just left them feeling like the token "girls" of the group). Heck, even Stolas seemed like he would've made for a fun villainous threat with the whole phone call scene with Blitz (pushy, threatening but still keeping his posh-rich guy schtick... think Brandon Rogers' British series in a way lol). As unpolished & awkwardly-paced the pilot was in hindsight (as even story-wise it lowkey felt more like a bunch of skits than a cohesive plot, I'll admit .w.; ), I think it could still use some fan-appreciation nonetheless 👍
-"Murder Family" (S1 Ep. 1) The more "official" first ep of the series... and, while admittedly not as memorable as the OG pilot, I think its still a fine ep on its own accord imo ^^. The main cast is still generally solid, I enjoyed Mrs. Mayberry & her story against Martha (+her secret killer family lol), and though a lil low-stakes in the long run, I think it sets up some interesting potential for characters like Stolas to become more relevant (-albeit his whole "deal" with Blitz not... exactly aging well, even for his previous-established creepiness .-.;; ) Still, for what it was I'd say it was a fine start to the series👍
~Ok~
-"C.H.E.R.U.B." (S1 Ep. 4) Seems to be considered the general least-favorite for alot of the fandom back when it aired... buuuuut tbh, I don't really think its that bad, looking back? ^^; Like, yeeaaaah its not a perfect ep; as the Cherubs (save for the purple one) were a bit forgettable in-hindsight, the old geezer duo weren't too interesting to get invested in, and I can see why some would take issue with the lowkey-unfair ending (I mean... really, kicking the Cherubs out of Heaven purely for an accidental death? Harsh :/). ...But other than that, I'd say this ep was honestly a bit refreshing to not be focused on melodrama or ship angst... as instead it kept its focus more on the IMP crew's assassin gig & their wacky shenanigans against their squeaky-clean rivals lol. With honestly a good handful of jokes I still find myself chuckling at today, I think if this ep just had a lil bit of polish/fine-tuning, I think this could've very well been a good pattern to have kept going for the rest of the show imo. 'Cause after all... wasn't that what the show was advertised as at the start, a series of goofy assassin-based adventures? lol
~*shrugs*~
-"Western Energy" (S2 Ep. 4) For the time, I'll admit to finding this among the more "okay" S2 episodes... and, I guess I still think thats the case (albeit a lil less now)? Like, yeah its not exactly the most special looking back given its... kinda clunky-handling of the "Stolas gets kidnapped" A-plot, Striker (tho fun as it is seeing him return) coming off a bit watered down character-wise, Stella's brother Andrealphus feeling randomly thrown-in (no proper intro or however he's just... there as Stolas & Stella are having tea? .-.) whereas Stella's just left as a joke in-comparison, and... yeaaaaah I still don't get why they only NOW decided to address the "Ozzie's" drama on-screen (...through a blink-and-you'll-miss-it text message, wow 🤦‍♀️). ...Buuuut, at the same time, I did find myself enjoying some of the B-story with Blitz & Loona (even if she was silent for it all), as we got a sweet lil view into Blitz's priorities at-play (preferring to keep his daughter comfortable at her appointment ahead of dropping everything for Stolas👍). Could the humor & pacing been better? Certainly... but for what it was (along with M&M's contributions during their Stolas rescue), I don't mind going back to this ep for at least those lil highlights .3.
~Ehhhh...~
-"Exes and Oohs" (S2 Ep. 3) Now, admittedly I didn't mind this ep too much back when it originally aired... buuuut the more I think on it nowadays, I'm just not sure if its "aged" the best tbh. Even with the unique premise of focusing onto Moxxie's side of things, from his family upbringing to his devotion to Millie... it ultimately fell kinda flat since Crimson (admittedly entertaining as he was at times) basically felt like any other generic mob boss at the end of the day, Chaz being a painfully unfunny presence with all his "hurrhurr I'm sexy~" humor, and even as I wanted to enjoy Millie taking a stand for her husband's defense... idk, it just kinda felt like the same "Millie gets to be kickass while Moxxie watches" song & dance we've been used to, already 🤷‍♀️ Not to say the ep's completely without its merits, as I did enjoy Blitz's addition as more of a chaotic doof than his usual asshole schtick here, the murkier green atmosphere a nice change of pace setting-wise, and the childhood Moxxie flashback being chillingly sad to watch... buuuuut if yall are gonna immediately backpeddle from such intensity through a literal d***-on-the-wall gag, then like... whats the point? :/
-"The Circus" (S2 Ep. 1) Definitely seems to be the most... "base-breaking" ep of the series, as you've got half the fans who do love it for exploring Stolas' backstory... to those who can't stand it for the continuity errors, melodrama & fanfic-y writing. For me... while I don't outright hate it, personally (as I do still enjoy some of the pretty visuals, Paimon (voiced by Jafar lol) being an entertaining asshole-type character, and some of the flashback scenes with the kid-aged cast were cute), I just... have the hardest time fully-enjoying the ep whenever I look back on it :( Namely for this... sadly being the point to where Stolas went from a delightfully creepy, entitled but ultimately nuanced/morally-grey presence to... just your average "uwu poor bean who did nothing wrong & only wanted true looooove~ 🥺🥺" protagonist from literally any cheap Y/A romance novel 🤷‍♀️. Nothing really seeming to be his fault anymore as we've got Stella being confirmed a heartless shrew their whole marriage, Paimon having been the catalyst that instilled the Goetia's toxic views into Stolas from childhood, and now Blitz having been shown as the one who "lead on" Stolas since the get-co (even as kids as he basically stole all his stuff under the guise of being his playmate + seduced Stolas while he was drunk). And like... if the show needs to bend over backwards THIS much to make you root for a character... then I just ain't interested in 'em anymore. Sorry :/
~No. Just No...~
-"Unhappy Campers" (S2 Ep. 5) Y'know, it says alot about an episode when it becomes the universal least favorite for alot of the fandom overnight... myself included -_-. Like... really? This has to be the point in finally giving M&M the major-A plot together? One where they're basically both at their worst (from Moxxie being a whiny drama queen, to the writer's attempt at "Millie depth" feeling more like a half-assed ploy to ward off her critics), the humor being an absolute cringe-fest all the way through (like... whyyyy oh why did they had to make the setting at a kid's camp, of all things? 🤢), and as much as I wanted to enjoy the B-story with Blitz finding his sister Barbie (even more for her not immediately forgiving him right away)... the fact that it was ultimately just too rushed in and forgotten about by the end doesn't do the ep any favors for me :/ Need I say more...
-"Seeing Stars" (S2 Ep. 2) Ugh... while I guess not technically the worst HB episode given the previous one I mentioned... this one just, never fails to bug me for how filled to the brim it was of missed opportunities🤦‍♀️. What should've been a wholesome & touching ep focusing on Octavia's struggles with her parents' divorce, getting to bond with Loona, and allowing them space to just hangout & have fun outside of their respective homes... was instead just a pointless venture into a bland af Hollywood setting, Stol*itz fanservice at some sitcom eating up the runtime (-all the while not addressing anything from the "Ozzie's" ep, prior), Loona being WAY too violent to her dad for no reason (even beyond her usual grumpiness) that it felt OOC, M&M adding nothing but cheesy fluff for the upteenth time... ...and the worst part of it for me, was just how backwards in logic it was to paint Octavia as "wrong" for being upset at her dad... WHEN SHE HAD EVERY FREAKIN' RIGHT TO BE??😑Yes, I know he loves her, and that he is "trying"... but jfc Stolas, did you need to stay on the phone arguing with Stella all-morning? Did you need to act so helpless and distracted at the studio with Blitz (-when you're literally the same dude who raised hell to save IMP in "Truth Seekers"...WITHOUT the grimoire on top of that)?? *sighs* And like... as much as I want to give him kudos for (kinda?) apologizing & making amends at the end with Via... idk, I feel like that ultimately further-added to me growing disinterested in Stolas' character 😔. I could go on but... yeah. Even as a Via fan, this ain't an ep I'd watch again anytime soon...

//my game theory about the fnaf movie [SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT]
//okay so obviously we know mike, abby, and garrett aren't aftons. william isn't their father (and even if they, for some reason, pull the ultimate bait and switch, he is not the one who raised them. he was not involved in their lives.) we know garrett is dead, and we know mike and abby's mom is dead. so who is their dad? does it even matter if it isn't william? well. I think it does.
//given that michael and vanessa seem to be about the same age, fazbear's (or, at the very least, fredbear's; hence the picture of vanessa holding garrett's plane toy with spring bonnie) would have been operational at the time of garret's kidnapping and murder. doesn't it strike you as odd, that william would be in nevada at that time? that he would go to some campsite, in the middle of the woods, in a different state, just to kidnap a child? isn't it strange that he knows the surname schmidt? that he knows mike is garrett's brother? how would william know all of that? why would he go so far out of his way to kidnap some random kid when freddy's is right there? why does he kill kids at all?
//it seems like the movie likes to pull from old and/or debunked theories about the games; the "vanessa is an afton" theory (with secbreach vanessa, the sheer gap in time just doesn't support it); ye old "purple guy is phone guy" theory (if we didn't already know who matthew lillard was playing, I would've thought he was strictly the phone guy of this universe). and I'd like to point to a few other theories that they could pull from. the theory that the crying child is the puppet; the theory that michael and/or the crying child are emilys rather than aftons; and the theory that "emily" isn't henry's actual surname -- just charlie's middle name.
//guys. henry is their father. that's why william knew where they were; henry probably let him know ahead of time. that's why he knows the name "schmidt;" it's his business partner's last name. that's why he knows michael and garrett are brothers. that's why he went out of his way to travel out of state to find this fucking kid. and this unnamed father's reaction to his wife dying -- if we look at henry's behavior in the novels, what this unnamed father did makes sense. when charlie died, henry went into a deep depression, built some robo charlies, and killed himself, leaving his sister, jen, to take care of charlie (also note the conflict with mike and abby's aunt in the movie; with the aunt wanting custody of abby.) things likely haven't gone that far with THIS possible iteration of henry (unless they want to set up some weird alternate secbreach movie, and that's the reason for gregory's existence (it would make more sense than the game ig??)) but when mike and abby's mom died, he just couldn't handle raising another child, and left her in mike's care.
//additionally, with fnaf 2 being the second movie and garrett's unknown conditions of death, I bet garrett is gonna be our puppet. really, that'd be the easiest way to tie the two movies together -- because outside of introducing the puppet and The Bite, fnaf 2 doesn't have much to offer in terms of lore relevance. I have no conclusion to this post

I’ve also considered thoughts of inserting Sage into other continuities, like so.
Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog: For this to work in my opinion, Sage would have to replace Robotnik, Jr., and unlike that kid robot, who immediately got Robotnik's approval before they had a falling out, I can imagine that Sage would initially disappoint her father with her sensible attitude before she ultimately showed just how loyal and protective she is of him. They'd continue to work together in opposing Sonic and keeping Mama Robotnik away from them, but I can see Sage trying to be supportive of all her Badnik siblings to the point of playing matchmaker between Breezie and Sonic and actually considering that succeeding her victory when Robotnik's own plan failed. She'll might try to make a healthy romance between her Dad and Katella, too.
Archie Sonic: Discounting the similar-looking Phage from the reboot, both Robotnik Prime (King Gong and E.V.E.) and Robo-Robotnik/Eggman (Mecha and A.D.A.M.) each had an artificial son and daughter respectively. For Sage to play a role, I think she has to be around even before Julian Kintobor was tried for treason by the Overland. I can see Julian slowly yet surely coming to confide in Sage about his frustrations with the family and society he was born into and how he doesn't even like his own birth name, which they would share a laugh about since while Sage likes "Julian," she sees no etymological sense in "Kintobor." When Julian is then arrested and tried by his own older brother, Sage works with the still loyal Snively to break Julian and intentionally directs them both to seek asylum with the Kingdom of Acorn upon learning of the connection King Maximilian had with Julian's scientific mentor, Nate Morgan. As the years pass by, and Julian becomes Doctor Ivo Robotnik, Sage would be seen as his treasured heiress, even as she speaks in Snively's defense among others, and actually helps her cousin be kept up to date on the younger Hope Kintobor.
Sonic the Comic: This Robotnik didn't create a robotic child as far as I know, but I can see Commander Brutus, whose mind was based on his creator's brain patterns, being replaced with Sage who advises more of a handed than fisted rule before ultimately deciding that her father should rule with fear of force whether than force itself all for the sake of keeping the Robotnik Empire intact. Robotnik would still fall from power, but I can see him having a slightly better last Christmas in power with Sage by his side.
Sonic Underground: Replacing A.R.T., Sage would serve her creator to the best of her ability, yet would become distracted upon the Hedgehogs introducing her to music before ultimately remaining loyal to Robotnik.
Sonic Boom: Depending on the time, I can imagine Sage being around as far as the first episode, or until the episode Mombot would have debuted in. Either way, I can imagine that just as she would be supportive of her large family in its entirety, Eggman would work hard in either building a version of the Copybots from Mega Man Battle Network just for Sage, or unlocking the solid hologram code as science fiction sometimes depicts.
Sonic the Hedgehog: The Animated Series: It would have to mean replacing Cluck the pet, but I can indeed see Sage still being the apple of her father's eye and her relationship with Snively would turn sour as he starts to call Robotnik names under his breath and ultimately betrays him, even though she initially sympathized with him for the abuse he got.
Sonic X: Depending on how it would go, Sage would have to be either in Bokkun's place or be his responsible sister, but I think it would work out between her and Eggman, still.
Paramount Sonic: The movies as I see them, would have Sage be Robotnik's developing "JARVIS" to his evil "Tony Stark."
Sonic Prime: Probably just a brief cameo before everything shatters.
No ideas for the OVA, the non-translated works, or some other minor materials.
Any thoughts?
These are all pretty well thought out and unique takes on incorporating Sage into their respective continuities. I particularly like the idea of Sage being a black sheep in her 'family' for the simple fact that she's the sole member of the family with any kind of sense.

Made a spooky month au.
Title: Robo-Skid AU.
TWS: MURDER, ACCIDENTAL MURDER, DEATH, CHARACTER DEATH, GRIEF, ATTEMPTED MURDER.
Summary: During the year of 2013, a certain.. accident to do with the cult happened, and due to it, Skid fucking died. Basically, his dad killed him on accident. Lila was understandably thrown into a state of grief, and out of her own rage and grief, she nearly killed Skid's dad herself. But there was nothing to be done. It was too late. That was at least what others said anyway. Lila didn't want to accept that her son was dead, so after her ex-husband and the cult were arrested, she quit her job as an architect and began to study engineering. And once she was capable enough, she began to build a robot of her son in the age that he would have been had he still been alive. And after years and years.. it worked. Robo-Skid managed to finally activate once she was done programming him. Lila was relieved and happy, and burst into tears—she hugged him tightly as soon as he "woke up". The thing was though, Robo-Skid was seriously confused and was wondering why his "creator" was acting this way. Lila, knowing full well it would take some time to make Robo-Skid act and behave as his original counterpart did, and knowing full well that it would take some time to install his "memories", decided that while she was a little uncomfortable with him calling her his creator—it was start. However, when Robo-Skid happened to overhear something Lila said, he decided that his objective was to act like and fill the role of the original Skid. But this ends up leading to plenty of encounters with familiar faces, and plenty of conflicts. And Robo-Skid ultimately has to find our whether or not he needs to help Lila move on and become his own being, or if he should keep going with his objective.
Tumblr media
Now, for certain details about other characters and how they'd react to Robo-Skid.
Pump - Pump is very traumatized from what happened to Skid. And upon meeting Robo-Skid, he begins to act aggressively. He calls Robo-Skid a piece of plastic, and yells that he isn't really him. Pump hates Robo-Skid because he isn't the real Skid, and Robo-Skid just serves as a reminder that his friend is fucking dead.
Roy, Ross, Robert - The three have no idea how to feel about it. Roy is a little awkward and even a bit frightened of Robo-Skid. Ross is calm, but slightly uncomfortable around him. And Robert, despite his slight fear and discomfort, tries to help Robo-Skid the best he can and even tries to talk to him.
Kevin - Kevin doesn't even know Robo-Skid is a robot version of Skid at first. Upon finding out though, hes very anxious around him and is even a little bit awkward. He isn't sure why he feels the way he does, but he tries to act nice even despite his feelings.
Susie - She is just as uncomfortable as everyone else is, though she tends to just avoid any sort of contact with Robo-Skid.
Frank - Frank is a little confused on how to feel about the whole situation. He doesn't know if he should hate Robo-Skid for basically being meant as a replacement for Skid, or if he should act nice regardless because that's probably what Skid would have wanted. Either way, Frank can't really help but be nice, considering it very much resembles Skid even if it's not exactly him.

which of the flying stars have your ‘favorite’ backstory? (i realize that that’s kind of a difficult question but hey? maybe it isn’t?) or, alternatively, which one do you want to tell us about the most?
i’m so interested in this au i don’t know what questions to ask so if you don’t like these ones feel free to use this ask as an opportunity to go off about something you’ve got on your mind!
i saw this ask during work and could not Wait to get home to answer this omg tysm for ur interest and question and providing me a space to dump a lil abt the flying stars boys!! <3<3<3
i think robo has my favorite backstory bc its so silly and lighthearted dfjksdf to give a quickish summary of everyone's backstory rq (a chunk of it based off their real lives but messing with the timeline and obviously outcomes and some details etc):
they all grew up playing hockey, roope and miro took it more seriously/were able to go farther with it but none of them quite made it to the draft. jake and robo are on a beer league team when they have the time!
roope and miro were on the same liiga team, bonded over music taste and going to shows and playing music together, but roope went to play juniors in the us and eventually became more involved in the punk scene there and started to prioritize it over hockey (especially since it was a space where he could be openly queer and loud, as opposed to hockey where being either is Largely Unacceptable), eventually quitting. the whole time he was still in contact with miro fs and they were still super close.
miro was feeling a lot of pressure from being seen as a "wunderkind" and ended up using music a lot to cope with that, realized he had more fun just fucking around with friends playing music than he did hockey anymore, and when roope said he was starting a band with two freaks in texas and miro could live with him Rent Free miro was like "^.^ okay" and dropped off the face of hockey earth to go to them
otter grew up in love with punk (esp pop punk) and obvs went to warped tour and everything as much as possible, he was also Always very painfully emotionally open and sincere in a way that made him never want to pursue hockey seriously lol like he got hints of dudes who would pursue it, being on a minnesota hs team, and he was like.... yeah not 4 me. he loved being a goalie but didn't love the locker room environment and ultimately just loved playing the drums and writing more!
robo is like if he still grew up in cali but instead of his dad being an ex-goalie he was actively a drummer and instead of using the rv to go to hockey games and moving to michigan and everything they used an rv to tote around their FAMILY BAND (half inspired by zoe's tags on the original post thank u ily) to little gigs, mostly . robo still played hockey a ton in his free time as a hobby but it was harder/unimportant to pursue it seriously given where he was along with obviously just having this love for music growing up in his family. his big teenage rebellion moment was when he was like "no DAD i dont want to play generic universally appealing rock music anymore, i want to play stupid loud messy punk!!!" except nobody actually cared in a serious way they were like "okay lol as long as ur still having fun playing music if thats rlly what you want to do!!!". he was raised to play guitar based purely on vibes by his mom which is why he cannot actually read music still lol
i can elaborate further on any of them if there's anymore questions or u just want to hear more abt them, and im always more than happy to answer Any questions abt the au!!!!! tysm!! <3<3

I have a dark theory of how blitz got his scar and fizz ended up with robotic arms and legs.
And it’s blitz’s dad’s fault.
Blitz’s dad is hinted to be the root cause of not only blitz’s issues with intimacy as he’s selfish and conniving and was possibly a terrible husband to blitz’s mom, but also possibly his sister Barbie ending up in rehab due to the immense pressure of being in the circus, so what’s to say he wasnt responsible for his star clown losing his arms and legs?
What if during the performance, cash bucks wanted to heat things up, so during fizz and blitz’s acrobatic performance cash added another feature that the boys didn’t know about, which caused a horrific accident that not only gave blitz his scar, but also tore fizz apart? And other the years fizz grew resentful of blitz because he managed to get out of almost unscathed with only a scar, while he had to get robotic limbs, which ultimately leads fizz to betray blitz and Barbie, which was hinted in “loo loo land” where blitz calls robo fizz a sell out jester.
The resentment of the accident could have made fizz make blitz and Barbie lose their career in the circus if he went to work for asmodeous, especially if cash was still around so fizz could get revenge on him and rub it in his face as he ruins the family circus and caused blitz to leave and hate fizz completely.

👔 + do you think Keebo's lonely since he's the only one with such an exceptionable talent?
Q&A FOR ROBO DAD | @afortiicri
Tumblr media
│🤖│“If you’re referring to exceptionable talents in general, absolutely not. Hope’s Peak is the perfect place for Kiibo to study due to his classmates holding Ultimate talents just like him.”
Tumblr media
“But if you meant he may feel lonely because he’s a robot…I have wondered if he’d feel better if he had a robot ‘sibling’. He still finds it incredibly difficult to properly fit in with others, and that may be one of the reasons why. Of course, I had built him to be the coolest, most human-like robot to ever exist, so while I am pleased he’s experiencing worry just fine, I also can’t help but concern myself for him too…”
Tumblr media
“Perhaps I’ll talk to Kiibo later, see what he wants.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All was going great in Sumdac tower, you had walked in with a skip in your step, today was going to be a great day; you could just tell.
You had been down these halls numerous times in the last year, after all, being Sari's babysitter kept you on your toes. Always chasing and playing with the small girl to provide some form of entertainment for her, even if she was sat in robo-central.
It hadn't taken you long to notice that the girl was in dire need of human interaction, usually spending most of her days surrounded by robots. You were practically an angel sent from above to Sari, providing her with some boring life lessons as well as the most fun she'd ever have.
Minus the happier feeling walking into the tower today, it was business as usual: pick Sari up, ask her how her day's been, take her out somewhere. You knew it would be more of a challenge than usual though, after the last time her teacher bot caught you both sneaking out, the droid had been on high alert anytime it saw you.
Spotting tuffs of pink bobbing outside a sliding door, you snook up to the hiding child and grabbed her shoulders. Sari screamed like she had never screamed before, jumping away in a dash and turning to see you. Her scared expression manoeuvered into a frown, deeply etched into her features, "(Y/N)! Ugh, I should've never taught you my sneaking skills." she huffed out.
You ruffled a hand through her hair and laughed, "What're you doin' anyway? Thought you had your lessons?"
"I do, I'm just putting those sneaking skills into use. Plussss-"
"Plus?"
"Plus Sparkplug ran away, I gotta find him before dad does." She nervously laughed, her large smile barely distracting you from the serious situation. You knew this was bad news, even if Sari was playing it cool you could see the beads of sweat forming against her hairline.
"You know, if your dad catches us we're in big trouble, right?"
"I knoooow, he's got that tour too! Ugh, why couldn't Sparky have run away on a different day." the child pouted, lips puffing out in exaggeration, "Oh well, guess we'll have to go find them." she beamed, skipping off down the hallway. You watched her go with a smile, of course, she had planned this all from the beginning. One thing about Sari Sumdac, she was an absolute genius, just like her father.
---
"Back in the early 20th century, Detroit was known as the motor city, the automobile-manufacturing capital of the world. Today once again, we're the world's leading manufacturer, not of automobiles, but automaton robots or as we here at Sumdac systems like to call them: our tireless mechanical partners. Ever-reliable, never complaining, no task too mundane or unpleasant, unencumbered by fears and phobias; able to survive and withstand extreme environments far beyond the capacity of us mere humans." Mr Sumdac lectured, showcasing his entire plant to the children.
Some were enthralled by what he was saying, most distracted by the large line of robots creating more, smaller robots. He finally stood still, turning to face the class with tired eyes and frailed hair, "The robot evolution begins here at the typical Sumdac systems assembly line where we make the latest line of Sumdac robots; any questions?"
The children flicked their gaze around the large corridor, eyeing each other as if to dare one and another to go first. Finally, a kid stepped forward, voice too low for a middle-schooler, "Where'd you get the idea for your robots, Mr Sumdac?"
The man laughed away at the question, dismissing the importance of the subject with a wave of his hand, "It was something that I just, sort of, stumbled upon."
You could hear their voices echoing through the corridors, that wasn't a good sign; it meant they were close. But you could see Sparky's tail in the distance, wiggling with glee as he pounced around, tempting you to catch him. Sari trailed after him, zig-zagging against the walls in a feeble attempt to snag him.
As she rounded the corner, out of your eyesight, you heard a loud crashing sound and an 'Hmpf!' definitely not good. Rushing around the corner, you spotted the laughing school kids and a wounded Sumdac father-daughter duo. Walking closer, you grabbed Sari and lifted her off of her father, you then stretched your hand out to Mr Sumdac, "Sorry, dad."
Mr Sumdac dusted himself off, hiding the irritated groan and instead focusing on introductions. Sari pulled a stick of gum from her pocket, first offering some to you, but you were quick to refuse, "Forgive me children, this is my daughter Sari and her babysitter, (Y/N). Sari, what do you say?"
The child in question blew a bubble as big as her face, the result ending in it being splattered against her skin, "Anybody got a pair of scissors?" she mused. You helped tug off the remaining sticky mess, ignoring the constant questions filling in from the school children, "So, uh, what's it like to grow up around all these cool robots?" the same boy asked from before.
With the remnants of the bubblegum stuck to your fingers, you watched as Sari thought over the question, quickly shrugging then releasing another snarky response, "I don't know, what's it like to go to school with other kids?"
You felt that familiar pang of guilt in your chest at her answer, knowing she wasn't really joking, even with the giant smile on her face. Mr Sumdac huffed out a disappointed breath, glare aimed at the two of you huddled closely together.
"I apologise once again for the interruption, but my daughter must return to her studies now. Miss (L/N), would you mind taking Sari back to her room?" it wasn't so much of a question but more of a demand.
You nodded your head like the obedient little worker you were, ignoring Sari's complaints, you manoeuvered her back to her room. She slouched against her bed, the teaching-bot already going deep into another lecture. Sitting on the very edge of the divine mattress, you fiddled with your fingers, oddly nervous around the young girl for once, "I'm sorry I didn't really stick up for you back there, it's just...your dad, he's my boss so I sorta..gotta..listen to him, you know?"
Sari huffed, placing a pillow over her face and screaming into it, once that was over she placed the pillow down and sat up to face you, "I know, I just hate when he does that sorta stuff. You're still team Sari, right?" she asked, though it felt like she was begging.
You beamed at her, wrapping your arms around her small frame and launching her back into the bedding, "Of course I am! Team Sari for life!" you howled, Sari laughing uncontrollably.
"If you're not going to pay attention, then what am I even doing here?" you heard the teach-bot mumbled; someone needs some oil, you mused.
As you and Sari laid in bed, listening to the rambles of the teach-bot and occasionally talking over him, you felt odd. Small tremours shook the bed, picture frames rattling against the walls, even the bot toppled over once or twice. Sari sat up, moving around on her bed to face you with a worried look, "What was that?"
"It was probably just a small tremor, nothing to worry about." you huffed out, hoping those years spent learning drama in school was paying off. But then it happened again, more violent too, the whole room shook, "Now I know that can't be just a small tremor, right?" Sari questioned, tone rising in pitch out of panic.
You waited for the shaking to stop before making your way to the windows, you instructed Sari to remain on the bed in case anything happened. Shuffling to the ceiling to floor windows, you peered down and caught what looked like the entirety of Detroit's emergency services down below.
"Oh geez, this doesn't look good." you moaned out, watching as the police captain barked out some orders through his megaphone. Drones were launched from behind them, firing at something you couldn't quite see, but it must have been bad if they were sending drones and not people.
"What's goin' on? I wanna see!" Sari yelled out, jumping up and down on the bed. You shushed her, flicking your attention back to the chaos outside, "I think we should get outta here." You grabbed her hand and pulled her from her bed, her legs flailing in the air as you ran towards the elevators.
You button-mashed the down switch, praying the elevators still worked; luckily they did. You threw Sari in there before jumping in yourself and pressing the ground floor, "(Y/N), what's going on? Is it bad?"
"I don't know, but it looks like half of Detroit is out there fighting...something." The elevator doors swung open, a polite ding indicated that you had made it to the lobby, "C'mon, we gotta find your dad."
Stepping outside into the spacious room, you noted this did not look like the lobby. Moreso, it looked like the loading dock where all the truckers came. Grabbing ahold of Sari's hand again, in a tighter grip, you rushed to the wide loading bay doors that conveniently happened to be open.
Sari pulled against your hand, digging her heels into the concrete floors, "Stop, wait!" she huffed out, using all her strength to slow you down. You turned back to face her, her hand falling from yours as she rushed back deeper into the building, "Sari, where are you going! Get back here!" and so began the chase. She led you around the large workhouse, dipping high and low in what you assumed was a way to escape you.
Yet you soon found that wasn't the case.
In front of Sari was that chaotic canine on four robotic legs, charging around the place like he owned it, barking merrily despite the chaos, "Sparkplug, get back here!" Sari cried out. Thinking quick, you picked up your pace, easily out-passing Sari, and blocked Sparky's route, "Come'ere you sack of bolts." you growled out, arms stretched wide to catch him. Though, Sparkplug was faster and dodged your incoming grip, skidding back around until he found the exit.
With a groan and some motivation from Sari that the building was indeed still on fire, you followed after her. Sari waved her security key to the dog-bot, hoping to entice him, "Here Sparky, I got a nice, tasty security key for you!" she cooed.
Finally seeing pure daylight, you caught your breath and panted, pacing yourself for the amount of paperwork you'd probably have to do after this. Still unaware of what was going on with the emergency services, you approached Sari as she wrestled with Sparkplug.
"What are those things?"
"Must be some kind of pet?"
"Why would the four-legged bot want pets that big?"
Two cars pulled up in front of you, Sari was still busy with Sparkplug but you took notice. Pulling her closer towards you, Sparky finally in her hands, you stared at the cars; was that the Chief's car?
"Hi little creatures, my name's Bulkhead, did you lose your owner bot?" the green vehicle spoke, it's frame moving as though it was a person. You felt your grip on Sari get tighter, the next thing you knew you were both screaming out in fear. The cars jumped back, honking at you both, "Those things must be armed with some kind of...high-frequency sonic weapon!"
You were unable to look anywhere else but at the yellow car, why was the Chief's car suddenly talking? Could it always do that?
Sari screamed again, pulling against your hand to flea, and you were with her on that one. Kicking your feet up, you held her a little tighter and ran back towards the building you just escaped from, no wonder the police were using drones!
"I think they're scared, b-but don't worry little creatures, I'm not gonna hurt you!"
You had almost gotten back to the entrance of Sumdac tower when the same two cars pulled up in front of you again. Before they could get close, you collided with what felt like a metal pole. It wrapped around your waist, pulling you and Sari apart, when you forced your eyes open you knew what the drones were now shooting at.
You screamed in fear again, looking into the monster's eyes, soulless and dead. However, your screams were cut short when you caught sight of Sari, she too was struggling against the monster's tentacle limbs.
"What are those things?"
"Whatever they are, they need our help. Autobots transform!"
You couldn't tell what was going on, lost in everything that surrounded you. You watched in...awe as the vehicles that spoke to you transformed into giant robots, you wouldn't have believed it with your own eyes if you weren't forced to stare at them by the tentacle wrapped around your waist. The world seemed to stand still as you observed them, shiny metal reflecting in the sun.
You noted that the yellow one appeared to be the smallest out of the four, but still, compared to you, he was a giant. Sari had stopped screaming too, seemingly just as enamoured by the bots like you were, a wide grin spread on her face, anyone would forget she's being held hostage right now.
The bulkier bot, Bulkhead if you remembered in your frazzled mind, swapped out his head for a spiked ball, swinging the thing haphazardly in the air. Was he seriously gonna throw that thing at you both?
The monster piled you and Sari together, bumping chest to chest with each other as it held you in one limb. You flinched as the ball blasted from the robot's arm, soaring through the air to deliver a hit against the monster's face. As a result, you and Sari were dropped from its grip, sailing through the air and possibly needing a long trip to the hospital.
You closed your eyes, grabbing a hold of Sari and shielding her with your body, but the impact of the cold, concrete ground never came. It surprised you really, were you dead or in a state of shock?
You felt Sari shaking your shoulder, forcing you to open your eyes, the ground beneath you moved, driving you to sway left and right. "Hi, I'm bumblebee," the bot spoke, making you jump slightly. You looked down to see yourself perfectly situated in his hands, peering over his shoulder you caught the fight going down with the bots and the organic monster...thing.
"I'm Sari," the girl proudly presented, not at all scared, although, when you live around robots all your life you guessed this would seem like familiar territory.
"Oh a don't be, I like my name," the bot huffed out, looking around for some cover to protect you both, "What about you, a pretty femme like yourself must have a pretty name to match." Your cheeks burned a dark crimson, your words seemed to falter and fail before they passed through your lips, was this robot seriously flirting with you? That would be a first.
"I-I'm (Y/N)," you shook out, peering into the deep blues and whites of his eyes. He took you into the car park facing Sumdac tower; it provided a good enough shelter so you shouldn't get hurt.
"What are you?" Sari questioned, peering up at him, scanning over all the details on his face. You wondered that yourself, but with the blush still raging on you thought it would be for the best if you kept quiet and just observed.
"I'm an Autobot, well actually a cybotronian-" Bumblebee rattled on for a few more minutes about his race and other ungodly beings, it all confused you and thrilled you at the same time. Whirling sounds filled the air, seems those drones were no longer attacking the creature outside but the bot holding you. Bumblebee hopped from one foot to the next, hoping to avoid being shot at, he held you and Sari away from the firing range, though the drones seemed to only be focused on the yellow bot.
"Ow, hey! Would you stop that!" he huffed out, gently placing you and Sari down before shooting the drones out of the air, "I'd love to stick around and chat, but I gotta go!" he spat out, mouth moving faster than a minute. He shot a few more drones, their electric corpses dropping around you and Sari, you held your arms above your head as a weak form of protection.
Bumblebee posed in front of you, flashing you a signature smirk, his weapon zapping and sparking as he continued to stare at you. With nothing more said he dashed off back into the action. You stood, awestruck, watching little parts of the fight break out, there were three other bots there, much taller and bigger too, but your eyes remained on the yellow one.
Bumblebee.
Ugh, please don't tell me I have a crush on a car!
TMNT (2012) DID DONNIE DIRTY WITH THE HALF-ASSED LEADERSHIP PLOTLINE AND HERE’S WHY
not to turn into a tmnt blog or anything but I've been watching the 2012 version and I have some Thoughts about the weird leadership conflict subplot between Leo and donnie that the writers started going for and then abandoned. admittedly I've only seen up until a few episodes of season 3 so I don’t know if they ever do go back to this, but from what I've seen this plot had amazing potential but it was handled in a truly awful way!
keep in mind also that I really love this show. I watched it as a kid, I think it holds up pretty well even now. it does have its flaws (many, many flaws) and the worst flaw is the writing imo, which can be lazy, ignorant, or just straight up bad at times.
with that out of the way, buckle up and hold on to your butts cuz here the heck we go!
you cannot talk about leadership in tmnt without starting with the leader, Leo. the writers gave him a really interesting arc at the beginning of season one where he was really eager to become leader (splinter gave him the job because he asked for it, after all) but then he started to realize the burden that came with the title and started to crack a bit under the pressure. the most well-known character conflict in the entire tmnt multiverse is the tension between Raph and Leo, and this iteration of the show is no different. Raph is very obviously upset about Leo becoming leader and he (and donnie, but we’ll get to him in a bit) tries to argue that he should be leader instead. ultimately he fails and this does create tension throughout the rest of seasons one and two.
this tension comes to a head during an episode where Leo, tired of Raph always questioning his decisions and needling him, decides to fuck off for a little bit, leaving Raph in charge (”New Girl In Town”). from a writing standpoint, this episode is important for many reasons, but in terms of this subplot it is a moment of crisis for Leo which he inevitably overcomes by accepting the burden and responsibility of leadership; and for Raph it is a moment of realization where he finally accepts that he wouldn’t be a very good leader and he doesn’t want the burden that Leo carries all the time. after this episode, Raph and Leo do have their arguments, but overall Raph is much more accepting of Leo’s position as leader and only calls him out when Leo starts to go on little power trips.
which brings us to donnie. donnie also argued that he should be leader in the first episode, but it wasn’t treated as seriously as Raph’s argument, and after that there wasn’t much conflict between Leo and donnie (except for the technology vs. tradition thing surrounding metalhead, but I’ll get to that later). donnie and Mikey are presented as generally pretty laid back. when Raph becomes leader in “New Girl In Town”, they exchange a lot of “yikes” looks in the background but are willing to follow his lead and give him the opportunity to actually be leader. of course, this comes to a head when they confront the villain of the episode, snakeweed, in the sewers. they’re getting their asses kicked, Mikey is knocked out, Raph is having a panic attack, and donnie is left to fend for himself against snakeweed.
instead of having that little “I must meet this challenge and overcome it” moment that you’d expect, Raph gives in to the panic and it’s donnie who not only incapacitates snakeweed to give them time to escape, but also snaps Raph out of his panic attack and tells him what to do (namely, get Mikey out of there and retreat to safety). it’s not given any more attention after this so it’s kind of blink-and-you-miss-it, but this is the first instance we see donnie reveal a bit of his potential as leader.
this is in direct contrast to “Mousers Attack!” which came a few episodes before New Girl In Town. that was the episode that introduced the a-team/b-team dynamic, and in that episode we saw that donnie, while attempting to lead him and Mikey, was able to come up with a bunch of plans to infiltrate dogpound’s operations but wasn’t decisive enough to actually commit to anything. thus in New Girl In Town, we’ve already seen very obvious growth in donnie and the way he approaches leadership, but it’s very much pushed to the background, and for good reason. this is simply laying the foundation for the big showdown between Leo and donnie.
the next significant moment of leadership potential we see from donnie comes in the episode the Pulverizer. donnie gets stuck with Timothy in the lair but soon  becomes willing and even eager to teach him the basics of self defense, because, as he tells splinter, he knows Timothy is going to keep putting himself in dangerous situations and he’d rather Timothy be able to protect himself. splinter tells him that anything that happens to Timothy will be donnie’s responsibility, and donnie accepts this and begins training him. at the end of the episode they all make it out okay, Timothy goes on his way, and donnie seems to have become just a bit fond of him.
significantly, this is the first time donnie is given full responsibility over the fate of another person, and we see that even though he doesn’t really like Timothy, he takes this responsibility seriously. here he shows great leadership potential, as well, though again, it’s not really commented on narratively.
the next significant moment is, as you might’ve guessed, The Pulverizer Returns. in this episode we find out Timothy has joined the foot and is willing to pass information on to the turtles. Leo and Raph jump at the opportunity, Mikey is ambivalent as usual, and donnie is the only one who shows any concern. this is most likely because the last time he saw Timothy, splinter told him Timothy was his responsibility completely, and he obviously takes that seriously still. the entire episode, he tries to get Timothy to leave the foot and his brothers to take this seriously, but his worries are brushed off until they find out the shredder is about to mutate Timothy as an experiment.
so they race off to save him, and donnie ends up in a warehouse without his brothers to help, weaponless (because of some bullshit lesson splinter is trying to teach them, and as a side note, this was the first episode where I started to seriously dislike splinter as a character, because the way he was written here is just awful). the villains of this episode are dogpound and fishface. if you’ll remember, these are two serious villains, and up until this point they’d only ever been subdued, never defeated, and even then the turtles had to double team them in order to win. so it was of course surprising and incredible to see that donnie, armed with literally just a broom, was able to hold off a squad of foot ninjas, dogpound, AND fishface by himself for a good while, all while keeping Timothy away from the mutagen.
then Timothy IS mutated and a bomb is activated, and in just two minutes donnie comes up with a plan and executes it, getting them all out safely. when he starts barking orders at his brothers, they don’t even stop to question him. they listen immediately and that’s part of the reason why the plan succeeds. so what does this tell us? it tells us that donnie has a very strong sense of responsibility, protectiveness, and determination; that he is extremely capable when he’s focused and is good at thinking under pressure; and that his brothers trust him enough to follow his orders when he does give them. these are all incredible qualities for a leader to have!
notably the episode after this is Operation Break Out, where donnie goes off on his own to rescue April’s dad from The Kraang and they only make it out because his brothers followed him and intervened. clearly, then, donnie’s not really ready to be a leader and still lets his emotions cloud his judgement, which is a narratively sound writing decision. the big donnie-as-leader showdown doesn’t come until the end of season two, anyway.
and then season two. the tensions between Leo and donnie aren’t as obvious as the tensions between Leo and Raph, but they’re there, even if no one explicitly challenges Leo’s position as leader any more. here’s a quick rundown of the two significant episodes:
“Follow the Leader”--> Leo wants to stick to the old, traditional ways, but his brothers insist on unorthodox methods of fighting. Leo eventually comes to accept this to a certain degree when he admits it’s a good strategy to use against the footbots.
“Metalhead Rewired”--> donnie upgrades metalhead’s AI and Leo is suspicious of it. on the trail of The Kraang, Leo blames donnie for a few of metalhead’s mishaps, but apologizes when they realize that metalhead was leading them to a Kraang mutant prison. metalhead sacrifices itself to save them. Leo is sympathetic here because donnie is really upset, but it’s clear that these two are still fighting over the tech vs. tradition thing
and then we get to The Invasion, the season two finale. the synopsis makes it clear that this is where all of these moments that I've been discussing come to a head: “Leo and Donnie disagree about their plan to stop The Kraang invasion. When Leo makes a critical mistake, he is separated from the team and Donnie must step up as leader.” So we’re off to a good start as far as concluding this character arc goes. I was excited to finally see donnie live up to his leadership potential (and I thought this could be a good way to give Leo some closure regarding his issues with holding the world on his shoulders/blaming himself for every mistake/basing his self worth on his position as leader).
but I was sorely disappointed! in the episodes, donnie’s and Leo’s tech vs. tradition conflict comes to a head when Leo wants to flee the city (this seems very out of character for him) but donnie wants to stay and fight in his new combat robot, the turtle mech. this disagreement lasts until they are attacked in the tunnels and donnie is injured; Leo draws the Kraang robots away (I assumed this was his critical mistake: separating himself) to give the others time to escape. they go to April’s apartment to hide and regroup while Leo is hunted down and almost killed by the shredder. Raph and Casey rejoin the others, then shredder throws Leo through the window of the apartment, and they escape but barely. donnie then makes the decision to fight Kraang prime in the turtle mech (which is, I assume, his big leader moment, though of course it doesn’t even happen on screen). they fight Kraang prime and almost die, but Casey arrives in the van, saves them, and drives them out of the city. donnie apologizes to Leo’s unconscious body and says that Leo was right, and then the episode ends.
so. let me first say that this was quite possibly the worst way to end this really interesting and nuanced character arc that the writers had set donnie and Leo on. first of all, we barely got to see donnie act in any kind of leadership role. in Leo’s absence, they made most of their decisions as a team, where I had expected at least some sort of “I need to overcome my fears and anxieties and lead my family to safety” moment from donnie. secondly, Leo wasn’t entirely correct. yes, they ended up evacuating the city anyway like Leo wanted, but he was wrong about the turtle mech; it ended up destroying Kraang prime’s robot body thing. and donnie wasn’t entirely correct, either: the turtle mech was a great weapon that did some significant damage, but it wasn’t enough to stop the invasion. so we have these two characters who were both wrong in their own ways, both face the consequences, but no one ever discusses it.
so not only did we not see any significant character development from Leo; and not only did donnie not really get to act in any significant leadership role; but also worst of all, these two characters never got any closure! I'm a good handful of episodes into season three, and not one single character has even mentioned the tension between Leo and donnie during the invasion. everyone acts as if it never happened, so now as a viewer I'm stuck here waiting for the other shoe to drop or for one of these characters to finally snap, but I don’t think it’s going to happen, which sucks. in other iterations of tmnt (like the 2007 movie or the show from 2003) we get to see Donatello act almost like Leo’s second in command. I think that’s a really, really interesting direction the writers of the 2012 show could’ve gone in and I think it’s a waste of this subplot’s potential to just abandon it the way they did. I'm not sure what’s going to happen in season three, but I think a good conclusion of this arc would’ve been donnie and Leo confronting the argument they had, doing a little more maturing, and eventually donnie becomes Leo’s second in command. instead I'm really worried about how the writing of this show is going to devolve as I get further into the later seasons.
(as a side note: I'm currently working on a series of tmnt fics that addresses this issue, as well as the sometimes shitty ways the brothers treat each other and the stupid-as-fuck donnie/april/casey love triangle. so if that floats your boat, keep an eye out! I'll be reposting this with the link attached once I upload the first fic, so give my blog a follow or keep an eye on my ao3 account, heyassbuttimbatman)
'Introducing to Father'
Kiibo looks back at his father. "Y-yes.." He takes a deep breath. "Father, I must say that there's more to this visit than to just see you again." Kiibo says, sounding a more than a bit nervous.
Or rather, Kiibo is nervous about telling his father about his relationships with a certain Ultimate Detective and Ultimate Supreme Leader.
Kiibo looked out at the house from the back of the car. A wave of nervousness washes over him.
"I don't know about this."
"Come on, Kiiboy," The Ultimate Supreme Leader, Kokichi starts. "What's there to be scared of?"
"What if he won't approve?"
"Then he's a shitty person." Kokichi says, simply.
"Kokichi."
"What? I'm being serious."
"Kiibo." The robot looks at Shuichi now. "He's basically your dad. He raised and loved you as if he was your own. I'm sure he'll be fine with it when he sees how happy you are."
"Perhaps.." Kiibo looks back at the house. "But.. humans have disowned each other simply for being their true selves. If a parent can do that to their own flesh and blood..." He trails off.
"It is an unfortunate thing that happens." Shuichi sighs. "But I'm positive that he'll be happy for you."
"And if not, I can sic my 10,000 subordinates on him~" Kokichi laughs.
"Kokichi." The detective and robot say in unison.
"Nehehe, just kidding~" Kokichi places a finger over his mouth in a sly manner. "Maybe." Kokichi opens the front passenger door and gets out.
"Welp, it's now or never. Let's go, guys."
_________
Kiibo walks up to the door with his boyfriends and a barely awake Monotaro in his arms. He takes a deep breath to help himself relax before pressing the doorbell. A couple moments later and the door opens, revealing professor Idabashi.
"Oh, Kiibo!" The door widens up to show the rest of them. "Saihara-san, Ouma-san. What a pleasure to see you. Come in. Take a seat." He steps aside to let them in. The four of them walk in and sit down on the couch seated in the living room. "I have some tea brewing. Saihara-san, Ouma-san, would you like some?"
"That would be nice, thank you." Shuichi says gratefully. Idabashi leaves to get them some.
After a few moments, the three humans each have a cup of tea, quietly sipping it. Idabashi was the first to speak up.
"So." He lowers his cup. "What brings you boys here? Just happen to be in the neighborhood?"
"I..." Kiibo gulps. "It's been a long while since I've seen you so I thought it would've been great to come visit." He looks off to the side. "Sorry for not giving you a heads up."
"It's no problem. I quite like these surprise visits." He sips some tea. "But.. That's not the only reason for this, right?"
Kiibo looks back at his father. "Y-yes.." He takes a deep breath. "Father, I must say that there's more to this visit than to just see you again." Kiibo says, sounding a more than a bit nervous.
"Oh, like what?" The professor asks.
"Well..." He fidjits nervously, twiddling his index fingers together. He feels a pat on his shoulder and looks up to see Shuichi.
"It's OK, Kiibo." He gives him a reassuring smile and holds his hand.
Kiibo's face lights up from that but starts to feel less nervous. He turns back to Idabashi. "I, I wanted to introduce you to Shuichi, K-Kokichi and Monotaro.."
"Oh?" The professor places a finger up to his chin, curious by his son's statement. "But, Kiibo, haven't you already done that? Minus... Monotaro, was it?"
"Y-yes, but I feel like I should reintroduce you to them considering the circumstances." He looks at his boyfriends, seeing their respective signs of encouragement then gives a deep breath. "Father, I'd like you to meet my boyfriends and child:" He gestures to each one as he lists them. "Shuichi and Kokichi, whom are also dating each other, and Monotaro, our son that we share."
When the professor didn't immediately speak, Kiibo does so albeit a bit stuttery.
"I-I apologize... I'm s-sure this isn't what you'd wanted or wished of me to d-do..." He trails off looking to the floor, seemingly ashamed.
"Kiibo." Idabashi suddenly says, causing the robot to look up and straighten himself. "Do all three of you love each other?"
Kiibo gets a bit flustered. "Y-yes. I love them all dearly a-and... a-and..." He feels Kokichi put an arm around Kiibo and kiss his cheek, causing the robot's face to light up.
"We love him, and that's not a lie!" He finishes for his robo-boyfriend.
Idabashi chuckles at the display. "And what about Monotaro? Do you guys love him and do your best to raise him?"
Kiibo nods, feeling a bit of pride. "Of course! We try to do everything we can to be good parents."
Monotaro speaks up. "Robo father, Panta dad and Detective father are great parents! Waaaaaay better than my original one."
"That's great to hear." Idabashi smiles. He looks at the boys in front of him, seeing his son get flustered as Kokichi whispers something to him, snickering(along with Monotaro) at the response while Shuichi sighs, seemingly used to the purple one's shenanigans.
"If that's the case," The four of them look at the professor. "then I'm more than happy for you."
"Huh!?" Kiibo exclaims. "Y-you are?"
He takes off his glasses to clean them a bit. "All I wanted is for you to experience life like a human does, especially a happy one." He puts them back on. "And it seems that you're in great hands."
Kiibo starts feeling overwhelmed with emotion. "F-father.."
"You good, Kiiboy?" Kokichi genuinely asks, leaning into him.
"Y-yes.. I'm j-just really happy.." He calms himself down.
____________________
The four of them are leaving Idabashi's home, heading to Shuichi's car. Kiibo stops a few feet away from his father.
"You guys go on ahead," He hands Monotaro to Shuichi. "I want to talk a bit more with father. I'll be there in a few minutes."
Shuichi nods. "Got it." He holds Taro and takes him to one of backseats to strap him in his car seat.
"So long, bear well, grandpa!" Monotaro waves.
Professor Idabashi waves back. "It was really nice to see you again."
"It was nice." Kiibo beams at him and then looks at the loves of his lifes getting settled into the car with their kid. "I'm really glad it all worked out.." He admits. "I was afraid that you wouldn't approve and.. d-disown me.."
Idabashi pats his shoulder. "Kiibo, I understand your worry but I would never do that to you. I didn't do that after you accidentally hurt me, I wouldn't do it over this."
"Father..." Kiibo's voice cracks. Before he knew it, he was embracing his dad. Idabashi returns it and they stay like that until they both get startled by a car horn.
"I get that you two are having a father/son moment but it's time to go! I have evil, supreme leader stuff to do later!" Kokichi yells out.
Kiibo sighs as Shuichi reprimands Kokichi. "I'm sorry. Kokichi.."
"I understand." The professor chuckles. They walk to the car and Kiibo gets into the backseat next to Monotaro. "I'll talk to you some other time?"
"Of course father!"
They wave bye as Shuichi drives off. Professor Idabashi walks back to his house, still smiling. 'It's nice to see that Kiibo is in good hands.'
