I can’t believe I have 2,000 followers. Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart. I love this fandom, I love being in this space and reading all your brilliant fanfiction. I love getting absolutely goofy over Pedro Pascal with y’all. I love getting to talk about his upcoming roles, how cute his hair is, how dumb his outfit is, whatever. All of it. 

You all mean the world to me. I have never felt so accepted, loved, and welcomed in any space before in my entire life. 

So, to celebrate, since I suck at doing fic requests, I’ve decided to do a fic rec extravaganza. I'll be posting them all on April 29th, which is the anniversary of when I posted A Ghost of You (my first fic!). You have up to that day to submit asks -- the more the merrier.

There are three options under the cut:

Option 1: My Very Own Outtake

Send me fic recommendations. Literally any character Pedro has played is fair game. I will read it, review it, and put it on the spreadsheet and any outtakes it applies to. I’d prefer this be limited to one shots or shorter series (like less than 50k words/10 chapters), so I have time to read everything. Self Recs Encouraged!!!

Option 2: W(rec)k My Shit

Tell the people (and me) which one of my fics is your favorite and why. I’ll post it with a link to the fic. 

Option 3: Your Very Own Outtake

Choose a Pedro boy from the list, one of the search criteria, and length preference, and I’ll trawl the spreadsheet for you. Fair warning, you may ask for something I don’t have. I’ll ask my friends and do a detailed AO3 search if that happens. If I still come up empty handed (unlikely) I’ll let you know. I’m gonna limit these to 10 recs at the absolute most because the spreadsheet is long as shit and if you asked for like… Joel Miller Smut that shit would be 150 fics.

The One in Which Crowley Discovers Wanking by for_autumn_i_am (5k) It began, like most memorable events in Crowley’s life did, with a bad decision; like most bad decisions, it involved poor impulse control and copious amounts of alcohol. The Antichrist had been born, and he put on lipstick and kitten heels to deal with it, but knew that the clock was ticking, and at times when time was slipping away, it helped to hold onto a bottle of gin.

He tapped his hand on his thigh for a moment, and then apparently found inspiration. "Ah! Crowley said pleasantly, trying his best not to cause anything in the dining room to catch aflame in his frustration. Aziraphale gave him a reproachful stare, as if Crowley were being very stupid. "When you're eating, Crowley. Do you favour the… The knife?" Aziraphale actually glanced conspicuously at his own crotch, and Crowley considered leaving the dining room via the nearest window. "Or the spoon?" Another raised eyebrow. "Or even, let's say, a fork?" "What the fuck is the fork in this situation?" Crowley hissed through gritted teeth. Aziraphale mentions that he'd like to have sex with Crowley. Crowley is completely taken-aback, and very conflicted, and very interested. Aziraphale is also trying to kill him by using elaborate food metaphors to explain the whole subject, which is not helping in the slightest.

Trial & error by fellshish (15k) The Metatron brings in the demon Crowley to stand trial in Heaven. For tempting an angel. Uhhhh. Awkward.

Feast by Ashfae, mostlyjustgoose (15k) Crowley's spent the whole of lockdown asleep. Aziraphale has spent the whole of lockdown baking, cooking, and becoming increasingly frustrated with his solitude. Which eventually leads him to the perfect way to solve all his problems at once… Or, Aziraphale attempts to seduce Crowley with a truly excellent meal, and Crowley is amenable.

One Night In Bangor (And the World's Your Oyster) by Atalan (17k) "All right, I know I'm going to regret asking this," Aziraphale says. "What exactly does this wager entail?" Crowley grins like the cat that not only got the cream but has absconded with the entire cow. He grabs the bottle and swigs straight from it despite Aziraphale's tut of disapproval.  "The pot goes to whichever demon can get an angel into bed by the end of the evening." Day 10- A Fest Fic

Gin’s adjusting the lighting for their next shoot when in walks the new model Luna was so enthusiastic about, and that’s when they know they’re in deep shit.

This fic blew my mind when I first read it because it's strong and sexy with UST. It's definitely spicy too, but the banter we get from Gin and Pansy it's spot-on. Every moment in this fic hits like a punch. The flow is great, and I really appreciate the use of pronouns and the genderfluidity that's offered. And well, in this world alone...it's almost like anything is possible. The attraction and sex are there, and that's honestly what matters. *chef's kiss*

Day 13- A Fic With Over 100k Words

Licurici by @lou-isfake | louisfake (Harry/Draco/Charlie, E, 133k)

Charlie wanted Harry, but he’d never planned on having him. He’d never planned on Draco Malfoy, either. He hadn’t planned on anything but living out his days in Romania, with his friends and his dragons and his safe, peaceful distance. Apparently, it wasn’t a very popular plan. This is a story about crumbs and flickers and roots, running away and coming home; about falling in love without meaning to (twice), and having truly good friends, and the mutually revealing recognition between two people in love with the same man.

The summary pretty much sums it up. I love how this fic gives us a deep perspective into Charlie's life that we don't usually see, and the worldbuilding is phenomenal. The friendships and romance are very real, people fail to communicate and misunderstandings happen. Everyone really needs a hug, they all make mistakes, but in the end, things work out. I love Charlie's interactions with Draco, and then Harry, because they're different but they're so natural. This fic is lovely and such a breath of fresh air. If you want a fic you can binge overnight and feel All The Feels, please go give this a read!

Day 19- A Fic With The Hottest Smut

Built Like An Angel, Six Feet Tall by Rozarka (Millicent/Cormac, E, 7.1k)

Millicent is sure that Cormac is only out to make her look like an idiot with his flirting and innuendo, so she keeps an icy distance. Then, one night at a seminar, he somehow manages to goad her into the hotel swimming pool with him…

Soo, this is a gem not only because it's for a rare pair, but the UST and snark between Millicent and Cormac is sooo delicious. I did not know I needed this ship until I read this fic, and I was like oh. They've got a good energy together, and it translates very well when they do get things on. They have no problem with action, bite or talkin' dirty, that's for sure! And everything gets hot and wet very fast!🔥😉

There are better places to discover this than Newton and Anathema's baby's christening, but, well, we're here now. Very silly, one my my favorite genres (humans are confused by Crowley and Aziraphale)

the bucket list (13k, E): There was a certain look that Aziraphale wore occasionally—a pinched sort of moue that looked like he’d just taken a very large mouthful of cinnamon—which meant he thought Crowley was being ridiculous. He had put it on.“Hang on,” he had said. “You want us to do human things?” *If you're going to go native, you might as well go all the way. Crowley and Aziraphale decide to try some fun human things, there’s some obvious smut but it’s not what it’s really about

Milton Was Right (1k, T): Adam knows where most babies come from, but is pretty sure that doesn't apply to him. Aziraphale and Crowley show their usual levels of competence in explaining where antichrists come from. Just...extremely funny

it's the light (it's the obstacle that casts it) (5k, T): It's like having a curtain pulled back on something he wasn't expecting to see. A surprise punch-and-judy at an up-scale restaurant, a lobster thermidor when he's ordered an ale.Crowley's gleefully trying to wrap his head around the fact that Aziraphale is speaking Polari. Because of course he is. Or: The Patron Saint of London's LGBT Community is real, and he lives in Soho. One of my favorites

HERE BE SMUT

The One in Which Crowley Discovers Wanking (5k, E): It began, like most memorable events in Crowley’s life did, with a bad decision; like most bad decisions, it involved poor impulse control and copious amounts of alcohol. The Antichrist had been born, and he put on lipstick and kitten heels to deal with it, but knew that the clock was ticking, and at times when time was slipping away, it helped to hold onto a bottle of gin. Also what it says on the tin, Crowley jacks off while Aziraphale sort of helps

Come Fuck Me Hips (5k, E): Crowley has had a fantasy about Aziraphale for centuries now. Too bad the angel would never take him up on it. Except, as it turns out, he absolutely would. Crowley’s a bottom and Aziraphale is a service top, this is pretty much the only dynamic I accept

I Was Born to Love You (28k, E): Crowley shows up to take Aziraphale to lunch, and for the first time in quite a good while, he flashes just a bit of ankle. And that's how it all begins. Fun banter, hot sex

The Mysteries of Ladies’ Knickers (2k, E): Somewhere in the fall of 1963, Aziraphale was issued a new body. Later, he was never entirely sure if the mix-up following the assignment of its replacement was intentional or purely accidental. He had his suspicions. Crowley was not sure how to feel about it. It’s hot, Aziraphale is a woman temporarily, there’s sex, you know the drill

Love Hath Made Thee a Tame Snake (3k, E): He was the bloody Serpent of Eden, and he wasn’t going to stand for this kind of flagrant trespassing. Kind of borderline fluff/smut, the first half is mostly cute snake!Crowley

Killer Queen (2k, E): In hindsight, Crowley reflected, it was probably not one of his best or brightest ideas to introduce a six-thousand-year-old virgin to the subtle and intricate matters of sexual intercourse. Things could, frankly speaking, get a little out of hand. (Or, Aziraphale has a sexual awakening.) Oh God, hilarious and sexy, Aziraphale treats sex like food and wants to try aLL THE THINGS

Tryst on a Hot Church Roof (2k, E): Crowley has some fantasies. Aziraphale encourages him to explore them and not to be embarrassed. Neither of them can really take roleplay seriously but they still have a good time. Those nerds trying to sexily roleplay and failing is one of my fav tropes

Queen Fic Recs

I’ve noticed that there is too much fic in this fandom that is SLEPT ON (especially Breaky fic lbr) so here are some recs for y’all. If you wanna reblog and add any, you’re more than welcome.

The Clinic - Rated M (deffo read the tags) - 200k

Legitimately my favourite Breaky fic, the fic that inspired me to write Queen fic. It’s a nice long one to sink your teeth into and despite the harder themes it covers, it’s so so soft when it comes to dealing with the main relationship.

all my energy - Rated E - Series - 8k

You go in expecting Breaky Hot Space hatesex, and it lowkey delivers, but then it hits you full throttle with that softness we all crave.

Gin Cares - Rated E - 15k

Okay I get that it was only uploaded yesterday (as of the time of writing) but 30 kudos is a travesty and y’all should be ashamed. It’s 80s Breaky, which there isn’t enough of, and it’s sort of slice-of-life, not established relationship. There’s just something so fresh about the writing style, I love it.

‘Till Your Dying Day - Rated E (though the first chapter is more like a T) - 2k

The cute Breaky proposal fic we all deserve and need in our lives. 10/10. Read it, read it now.

the brighter suns and the easier lays - Rated E - Series - 50k

My absolute favourite Queen fic (or fics, rather) and it ain’t even Breaky, can you believe. I just love the writing style, and how natural and real everything seems, and how things develop very gradually. Also, good smut, which helps! If you read only one thing on this list, please read this.

Waiting in the Moonlight - Rated M - <1k

Okay so this is King AU (the band are all girls) which I know isn’t everybody’s cup of tea. But give it a go, who knows, you might like it! This is only short, and its very sweet.

good old fashioned lover boys - Rated E - Series - 18k

Roger gets punched on a night out and ends up going home with John and then John ends up joining Queen and it’s amazing and has amazing smut and you should read the heck out of it. I think it’s a trend with a lot of my favourite fic, but I like that this feels very genuine and real and the dialogue is natural sounding.

No Fight, Just Excitation - Rated E - 37k

Poly!Queen, sort of, detailing the first times between each pairing. Admittedly, I am especially fond of the Breaky, Joger and Deacury chapters (I wonder why...) but the whole thing is well-written. I’m such a sucker for reading first times, especially when they’re written superbly like this.

like a break up except there’s nothing to break - Rated G (I would put it at an T) - 4k

Brian-centric, a sort of introspective Hot Space era fic but done in a REALLY unique and interesting way. I first read it bc it has a tiny splash of Breaky, but it’s so much more than that and I highly recommend it. Probably one of the best written fics I have ever read, it really left an impact on me.

Liar - Rated E - Series - 39k

If you haven’t read any fics from this series, get out from under that rock. Ten whole fics for your reading pleasure, all centred around a particular performance of Liar. Mostly Deacury, some Maylor. Kink and smut all round. I love how John is written.

One Point Perspective - Rated E - 4k

I don’t usually read Maylor, but this was the first time I read Brian bottoming (underappreciated!) and I just think it’s really well done, good ol’ fashioned smut with some plot at the front.

“Not as much as I used to, but occasionally, yes.”, with further inspection Hitoshi sees the man has quite stunning grey eyes, they remind him of an impending storm cloud. In a generous statement, his hair cut almost makes him look like a low budget young Leonardo DiCaprio, almost.

“What slowed you down?”, Hitoshi shifts his weight against the cue and the other does something similar, except the little priss crossed his legs and propped his chin.

For the first time, he sees him smile, “Quite frankly, I got tired of winning.”

When Monoma goes out night surfing he’s anxious of the sea. He should be more wary of what sings in the tidepools.

Here's my review of Bound

This is probably the hottest thing I've ever read and if it's not then it's like... near the top of the list. Holy shit. Bondage? Din just absolutely railing you? The soft and sweet ending? It's truly everything you could ever want. And the imagery. I could see this like a movie in my head (which is awesome, thank you, best movie ever).

and here's my review of One Day at a Time.

This fic was so fucking perfect. I rarely, if ever, read fics centering on pregnancy/having kids. I'm so glad you recced this to me because I never would have read it otherwise. The story is absolutely gorgeous. You nail everyone's characterization so perfectly. I love the OC!Charlie so much. She's feisty and independent and everything joel miller needs. I adored all the little moments of him remembering Sarah, of him comforting and building a better relationship with Ellie. The smut was pretty damn nice too lol

My favorite fic of yours will always be A Ghost of You

It cut open my chest and ripped out my heart. then it burrowed inside my body filling the hole it created.

I read this before we were wives or best friends or I even knew you. It HAUNTS me. I remember reading it for the first time at like 2 am, sobbing, trying not to wake Abel up. and then I finished it and immediately read it again.

The depiction of mental illness and addiction struck me to my core. The "left behind" feeling that I am all too familiar with hit me like a ton of bricks.

I have never read a piece of fiction that resonates with me more than AGOY.

it is chilling and beautiful and my favorite piece of fiction I have EVER read. I love it so much I got a tattoo about it.

But more than that, it brought me you. We've only known each other for 8 months but I genuinely cannot overstate how much your friendship has impacted my life. I cannot imagine ever being without you again. I will always be thankful to this fic for bringing us together.

I love you so fucking much and I can't wait to hug you in FOUR DAYS!
