Bailouts & Investigations: Jane and Tubbs
@anoseforrottenapples continued from X
Word was rampant, spreading through the streets faster than a gasoline infused wild-fire. A very English grandmother had been detained. The first whispers to reach Crockett and Tubbs came via the motor-mouth known as Noogie Lamont who, reliably slapped on the jive and his own outrageous speculations.
Squatting in the middle of Crockett’s sleak black Ferrari between the passenger and the driver’s seat, Noogie blasts on,“she’s probably a BANK ROBBER! Holdin’ up those ditzes down at Mutual with her purse.” Just barely avoiding swatting Tubbs by mistake, he gesticulates wildly with his arms. “Like ‘scuzeeeeeeeeeeee me, MANNN. Hold my purse while I help myself to the hundreds. Don’t mind the Knitting needle. Ain’t no body gonna get jabbed less course they deserve it.” He makes a suffering, agonized sound and pretends to have found himself on the pointed end.
Crockett viscerally groans, running his fingers longwise across his stubbled face while he gifts the informant half of his attention. The other half was focused on the house they were supposed to be watching. “You been watching too much of the Tube there, pal?” He wittily retorts, fixing briefly Noogie in the crosshairs of his gaze.
Tumblr media
Unlike Sonny, Tubbs was more willing to entertain the conjecture. If only as means to overcome the pervading boredom that comes from an unmoving setting. “Yeah?” Her dark eyes glow impishly. “Sure. I bet she was handing out those pretty little candies on her way out and her getaway driver gets busted. Felony inability to follow an even five-mile-per hour speed-limit.” Internally, her mind conjures up the mental image of a dear little old lady sitting on phone books to barely set her peepers above the wheel. Followed by images of the robbery unit pursuing on foot. She gives off an extremely humored laugh.
The laughter is met with a flat scowl from Sonny. One that only encourages her and Noogie further. Noogie specially. “I’ve been doin’ some thinkin’,” Noogie starts. His arms are thrown around the two cops shoulders.
“Careful now. Don’t want ya to hurt yourself,” Crockett interjects in the form of a gravely grumble.
Both sets of eyes turn towards Crockett. (Tubbs and Noogies). Tubbs’s flash with amusement and Noogie’s contained shades of unbridled judgement.
“I’m much too young and too fine not to see this for myself!” He proclaims.
“And have you blabbing all over to six counties and blowin’ our covers?” Sonny shoots back. Just like that, he answers his own rhetorical inquiry. “No thank you.”
Tubbs continues, “besides, we don’t even know that this story is accurate. For all we know it’s just a fun rumor to take everyone’s attention off a real crime.”
Next came the crackle on the radios summoning Tubbs to return to the precinct. They’d have Gina and Trudy cover for them. Apparently, she’s been requested by a prisoner.
“Come on, MANNNNNNNNNNNNN. It’s just not fair. I just gotta knowwwwww....” Noogie entreats for the invitation to come along.
“Get out.” Growls Sonny.
Tubbs nods. “You heard the man. If you’re good, maybe I’ll give you the highlights.”
The drive back was met with musings about who had used her name and why? Was it connected with the buzz on the streets?
-----------------------
Tubbs briefly spoke with booking and intake officers in order to ascertain if she what was going on. From them, she received even less than the word on the streets. Go figure.
Ricki’s breezy steps are cut short as she rounds the corner to find a familiar face. “Hey, I remember you.” She relates, the fondness of a smile gracing her lips. Now the tall-tale weaved by Noogie felt a trillion times more absurd.
She has to dig back in the rolodex of memory to uncover the name.“Ah, Miss Marple. Right? How’s your friend fairing. The one with - was it a heart surgery?” She questions.
Tubbs’s own experience in the hospital that night had been extremely harrowing one and the elderly woman’s counsel had brought her more comfort than could easily be expressed. If anything, she certainly owed it to the woman to hear out her story.
“It’s alright. I’ll pay the bail and we can go back to my place or yours and talk about what’s going on.” She offers, handing a wad of cash to Harvey. Who promptly filled out a form on it and informed Tubbs’s she’d be liable if Miss Marple skipped on bail. A fact that inspired Ricki to roll her eyes. “Does she look like she’s gonna make a run for the borders to you?” She actively challenges.
Turning to Miss Marple, she nods in understanding. “You gotta forgive these guys. They hear every story known to man. Everyone is quick to assert their innocence and only the really stupid confess their guilt. Unfortunately, they don’t know you from any other person in County lock-up. But give me some time and my partner and I will try to clear this up for you.” Ricki breathes. In truth, she believed the woman. She doesn’t have a reason not to. Internally, she prays that she’ll never have a reason to become mistrustful.
She waits for them to unlock the cell so that she can extract her lone charge. “They take anything from you when they locked you up? We can swing by and pick them up. As long as you don’t have any confiscated weapons...” She questions.
Waiting until they were far enough away from eavesdropping ears, Tubbs asks, “so, what’d they charge you with? At least, they ought to have told you that much? I just got back from an undercover and haven’t had time to get my hands on your file.”

* if 7x01 begins right where 6x18 left off, Season 7 will probably open on Jake and Amy’s actual wedding anniversary. Cheers!
explanations for the dates are under the cut!
Things to keep in mind:
The B/C-plots, for the most part, are not included in the calculation of the times here, because they rarely line up with the A-plot. For example, it’s unlikely that Terry spent more than a few days unable to have enough confidence to make decisions in “Honeymoon,” let alone a few weeks.
I didn’t take weekends into consideration unless otherwise noted. There is a weekend squad, but we know that the regular detectives also sometimes work weekends (enough so that on more than one occasion, Holt has rewarded them with “weekends off”).
Time-stamps within the episode are used as guidelines, but not always as the rule, unless there is a specific number of days given.
Jake’s birthday is somewhere between 5/21 and 6/20, so the one that Gina missed (referenced in “Return of the King”) had to have been the 2018 one, which means that Gina had to be out of the office before 6/24 (the Sunday after 6/20) – hence why the first 4 episodes are all squeezed together.
E1 (“HONEYMOON”): Tuesday, 5/15 - Tuesday, 5/29/2018
The first post-cold-open scene probably happens on Thursday, 5/17: Gina says that Holt is taking “another personal day,” implying that he was gone at least one day after the wedding.
Jake and Amy reach Mexico two days later after, so Saturday, 5/19. Based on dialogue / events they attend / shirt changes, Holt leaves on Tuesday, 5/22. Jake and Amy’s extension begins the next day, 5/23. They are back at work “one week” after Holt leaves, so Tuesday, 5/29 (it could also be Monday 5/28, but it doesn’t really matter because the start date of 6x04 is locked in on a Friday anyway, so might as well give them a full week.)
Continuity Problem: “Captain Holt is at a 49 & improving 8.6% per day” implies that the first scene takes place ~5-6 days after the cold-open, but given Holt’s lack of usual Holt-ness the rest of the episode, we can assume his calculations are off.
Continuity Problem: Amy says that “This is the first time all week” Holt has left them alone, but based on the activities they’ve shown, he’s really only been tagging around with them for, like, 4 days. I’m using the shorter version because 6x04 has to end as early as possible.
E2 (“HITCHCOCK AND SCULLY”): Wednesday, 5/30/2018
Jake is wearing a different shirt here than he was wearing in 6x01. So, the earliest that 6x02 can take place is Wednesday, 5/30.
E3 (“THE TATTLER”): Thursday, 5/31/2018
The next day. It’s a bit odd to have a reunion on a Thursday, but roll with it.
E4 (“FOUR MOVEMENTS”): Friday, 6/1 - Friday, 6/22/2018
Like I said before, because of Jake’s canonical birthday, Gina has to be out of the office before 6/24.
Gina gives her two-week notice in the cold-open.
She stays back Monday-Friday the week after she’s supposed to have left, implying that her official last day was a Friday (assuming that the squad had the weekend off after the Gina-rama festivities, and, of course, she meant exactly 2 weeks). Therefore, she gives her two-week notice on 6/1, her official last day is 6/15, She leaves 6/21, and the episode ends on 6/22.
This timeline locks Jake’s birthday in to the very end of Gemini season, between 6/18-6/20 (with his birthday drinks being the weekend after). Either that, or he (for whatever reason) decided to hold his celebrations a week or more after the actual day.
E5 (“A TALE OF TWO BANDITS”): Day 1 – Day 2 2018
I literally have no idea when this is supposed to happen, except that Day 1 happens on the same day as some kid’s Bar Mitzvah (so probably over the weekend) and the whole thing takes place before Christmas (Trudy says “see you at Christmas!” at the end).
It’s probably also before Halloween/Thanksgiving (so over the summer/early fall) because those events + the holiday season happen pretty close together and we would have probably gotten some indication of those dates approaching during the episode otherwise.
E6 (“THE CRIME SCENE”): Monday, 1/7 – Sunday, 3/10/2019
The murder happens on a Sunday, so Day 1 is a Monday.
Day 51: the briefing room shows 2019 monthly stats on the board, indicating that we’ve officially gotten to the new year, and it’s already February (or later)…
Since it has to be February by the time Day 51 rolls around and Day 1 is a Monday, the episode can start on either December 17, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, or January 7.
December 17 as a start date means that they were working straight through the holidays, which seems unlikely. Christmas/NY Eve as start dates are also unlikely, for obvious reasons. Therefore, Day 1 is Monday, January 7 (and Day 51 is 2/26/2019).
Day 52: Amy punches Jake – 2/27/2019
The Episode takes 8 weeks, 6 days (56 days + “one week later”): the episode ends 3/10/2019.
E7 (“HONEYPOT”): Wednesday, 3/13/2019 – Sunday, 3/17/2019
The episode starts with Jake saying, “this is the third secretary you’ve fired in 3 days,” which indicates that it’s been at least 3 days since the end of 6x06.
E8 (“HE SAID, SHE SAID”): Monday, 3/18 - Friday, 3/22/2019
Day 1: start case
Days 2-4: amy working nonstop; Beefer gives text messages
Day 5: final 2 scenes
Everything has to happen on a weekday because the office that they’re investigating is open throughout.
Continuity Problem: Amy has 3 weeks off; she’s caught up on her paperwork (by which the show meant that she really had no Sergeant duties), and it’s unlikely that Holt would let her sit around and do nothing for that amount of time. However, things always come up unexpectedly, and she’s not doing much anyway in E9-10.
E9 (“THE GOLDEN CHILD”): Monday, 3/25 - Wednesday, 3/27/2019
E10 (“GINTARS”): Saturday, 3/30 - Tuesday, 4/2/2019
Nikolaj probably isn’t in school during this time, at least in the beginning.
E11 (“THE THERAPIST”):  Monday, 4/8 - Wednesday, 4/10/2019
As per the B/C-plots, and the fact that therapists probably don’t schedule appointments on the weekends unless absolutely necessary, all of this had to have happened on a weekday.
E12 (“CASECATION”):  Friday, 4/19/2019
The earliest this could occur is 4/17; otherwise, it’s illogical to say “our anniversary is coming up.”  It’s also been “almost a month” since 6x09 (when they last “hung out”).
I made it a Friday so they could take “next week off” without having to go back to work first.
E13 (“THE BIMBO”): Thursday, 4/25 - Sunday, 4/28/2019
Continuity Problem:
The B-plot takes 6 days (5 tallies on the whiteboard, plus 1 more where Amy’s squad tells her to stop competing for lunchtime greatness), which poses some…problems.
Four of these happen at the same time as the A-plot; two are unaccounted for. However, there aren’t enough days left if Jake and Amy come back from their week off on Monday, 4/29 like they’re supposed to. The latest date they could conceivably come back to work (which would also serve as the first day for the episode) is Saturday, 4/27.
There were three choices here:
Jake and Amy return on Saturday, 4/27. The A-plot lasts until 4/30. The two “remaining” days for the B-plot occur at the same time as “Ticking Clocks” (5/1) and “Return of the King” (5/2).
Jake and Amy return on Friday, 4/26. The A-plot lasts until 4/29. 1 remaining day occurs on the “Free Day” of 4/30, and the other happens at the same time as “Ticking Clocks,” on 5/1.
Jake and Amy return on Thursday, 4/25. The A-plot lasts until 4/28. Both remaining days occur on the “Free Days” of 4/29 and 4/30.
Logistically, it wouldn’t make sense for one of the remaining days to happen during 6x15: Terry would have to a) randomly change his shirt multiple times/day for some reason, and b) comes back to the Precinct more times than shown while dealing with Gina’s problem. Option 1 doesn’t work.
Amy’s dentist appointment is the morning of 6x14, and the last day of “The Bimbo” is 9:07am-lunchtime, so Option 2 doesn’t work either.
Therefore, Jake and Amy start work again on Thursday and The B-plot continues into the afternoon of 4/30. I mean, do you really need a whole week at the waterpark anyway?
(why was the heist on Cinco de Mayo, instead of, like, anything in June. why)
E14 (“TICKING CLOCKS”): Wednesday, 5/1/2019
E15 (“RETURN OF THE KING”):  Thursday, 5/2 - Saturday, 5/4/2019
Day 1 is a weekday – Gina has a business meeting on this day.
Continuity Problem: Jake tells Gina that she’s been blowing him off for “the last few months,” but it’s been much longer than just a few months.
Continuity Problem: The B-plot supposedly takes place on Mariano Rivera’s birthday, which is actually in November.
E16 (“CINCO DE MAYO”): Sunday, 5/5/2019
E17/18 (“SICKO & SUICIDE SQUAD”): Wednesday, 5/8 – Wednesday, 5/15/2019
Day 3 is a Friday (at least, that’s what CJ says in his video). Considering that Terry is only just receiving his Lieutenant’s package, the finale probably occurs right after 6x16.
The episode takes 7 days (until 5/14); I’m assuming that the final scene of Holt as a Patrol Cop occurs the day after, or 5/15/2019. This should also be when the first scene of 7x01 happens. Happy anniversary, Jake and Amy!

Below is the calendar of “theater openings”* for June, 2020, with many online shows, series and festivals showcasing LGBTQ Pride Month, and the entire list demonstrating the perseverance and resilience of an art form that is adjusting to the shut-down of physical stages.
Among the one-time only star-studded spectacles in June: We Are One Public at the Public Theater (see June 1), two different Tony Awards celebrations (see June 7, the date that the Tony Awards would have taken place) and the New York Times’ “Offstage: Opening  Night” (see June 11.) This last show launches a series that will feature performances from shows that opened (or should have opened) in the 2019-2020 season.
Pride Plays festival director Nick Mayo with producers Michael Urie and Doug Nevin
Among the other exciting new online series in June: Lincoln Center’s Dance Week  (which continues every day through June 4th) and its Broadway Fridays (Carousel on June 5th, The Nance on June 12, Act One on June 19), and Pride Plays, a partnership between Playbill and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, which will present “a live streamed theatrical event from the LGBTQIA+ theatrical canon” every Friday in June (including Mort Crowley’s sequel to The Boys in the Band. See June 26)  — plus 11 new LGBT plays by emerging writers at dates yet to be announced.
Also take note of The Civilians’ ninth annual Findings series, which for the first time is going online. The five offerings in this year’s groundbreaking documentary theater series share “a common thread of how humanity perseveres and seeks out joy through adversity.”
Since so many shows are being put together at the last minute — sometimes not announced until the very day of their launch — I will be updating/filling in this preview guide every day, and highlighting the offerings each new day with the link up top. This calendar as of this moment offers a glimpse of what’s  in store. Come back day by day for a better look.
Here are some ongoing series that have proven to be reliable sources of art and entertainment.
Four offer live performances (often called readings) of original plays: The Homebound Project Livelabs: One Acts from MCC Play-PerView Viral Monologues from 24 Hour Plays
(Play-PerView makes an exception to its original plays with what counts as a coup — the live reading of the Pulitzer finalist play Heroes of the Fourth Turning. see June 13)
A fifth offers live readings of classics and recent favorites: Plays in the House, Stars in the House’s twice weekly matinees  and now Plays in the House Teen Edition.
Three offer recordings of previous (glorious) stage productions.
Metropolitan Opera National Theatre at Home The Shows Must Go On from Andrew Lloyd Webber
For details about these and other ongoing series, check out my post Where To Get Your Theater Fix Online  (which lists, for example, the many long-running online sites such as BraadwayHD and Marquee TV that offer video-capture recordings of shows that were on stage)
All performances are free unless otherwise noted, although almost all hope for a donation (either to themselves or to a designated charity.)
*My definition of theater for the purposes of this calendar generally does not extend to variety shows, cast reunions, galas, panel discussions, documentaries, classes, interviews — all of which are in abundance this month, many worth checking out, but it would be too Herculean a task to list them all in a monthly calendar. My focus here is on creative storytelling in performance. (I make an occasional exception for a high-profile Netathon, involving many theater artists.)
June 1
We Are One Public The Public Theater Live beginning at 8 p.m. A 90-minute Netathon (my term for the starry online fundraising concerts of the pandemic era) featuring “cameo appearances” by Jane Fonda, Alicia Keys, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Meryl Streep, and “stories and songs” by Antonio Banderas, Laura Benanti, Kim Blanck, Ally Bonino, Danielle Brooks, Glenn Close, Jenn Colella, Elvis Costello, Claire Danes, Holly Gould, Danai Gurira, Anne Hathaway, Stephanie Hsu, Oscar Isaac, Nikki M. James, John Leguizamo, Audra McDonald, Grace McLean, Sandra Oh, Mia Pak, David Hyde Pierce, Phillipa Soo, Trudie Styler & Sting, Will Swenson, Shaina Taub, Kuhoo Verma, Ada Westfall, Kate Wetherhead.
The Revenger’s Tragedy Red Bull Theater Launches 7:30 p.m. Jesse Berger’s adaptation of Thomas Middleton’s Jacobean thriller, written a few years after Hamlet, is a searing examination of humankind’s social need for justice and our animal desire for vengeance. Vindice, the “Revenger,” sets off a chain reaction of havoc in a corrupt and decadent Venice.
The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey 92nd Y Recording launches at 8 p.m, available through June 30 Donation to 92nd Street Y required A recording of the one-man show written and performed by James Lecesne, whose short film “Trevor” spawned The Trevor Project, a national suicide prevention helpline for LGBTQ youth. I liked this show when I saw it Off-Broadway in 2015. From my review: “A 14-year-old boy is reported missing, and eventually found dead. Chuck DeSantis, who worked the case as a tough-talking detective “in a half-ass town down the Jersey shore,” begins to tell us the story as if it’s a murder mystery, a film noir on stage (“The dark side is my beat.”) But “The Absolute Brightness of Leonard Pelkey”…is not really a murder mystery. It is, above all, a showcase for the impressive theatrical talents of James Lecesne, who portrays the detective and eight other characters, male and female, young and old. He does this without props or a change of costumes — just precise, spot-on gestures; a shift in accent and manner of speech.”
Ten Stories: A Decameron The Builders Association https://www.buildersdecameron.com/
Throughout the month of May, The Buildings Association theater company presented five live half-hour episodes inspired by the Decameron, Boccaccio’s 14th-century plague-story. Starting today, all will be released for viewing
Burst Playground Zoomfest Launches 5 p.m. ET As part of the 25th anniversary celebration of the San Francisco Playground Festival of New Works (this year completely digital), this play by Rachel Bublitz focuses on Sarah Boyd, the head of one of the fastest growing tech companies in history, at a moment before everything bursts.
June 2
Coppélia Lincoln Center Part of Dance Week, the New York City Ballet presents the 19th century comic ballet of a mad inventor and the life-like doll he creates.
June 3
Pues Nada MCC Launches at 5:30 This latest play in the LiveLabs One Acts series is written by Aziza Barnes, and features Karen Pittman as St. Francis and Samira Wiley as Sunny
The Homebound Project #3 Launches at 7 p.m. Available through June 7 $10 donation to No Kid Hungry required (free to frontline and essential workers) This third edition of original plays fundraising for No Kid Hungry, on the theme of “champions,” features: Jennifer Carpenter and Thomas Sadoski in a work by John Guare, directed by Jerry Zaks; Ralph Brown in a work by Donnetta Lavinia Grays, directed by Jenna Worsham; Diane Lane in a work by Michael R. Hunter, directed by Jenna Worsham; Phillipa Soo in a work by Clare Barron, directed by Steven Pasquale; and Blair Underwood in a work by Korde Arrington Tuttle.
June 4
Coriolanus National Theatre Available through June 11 Tom Hiddleston (Betrayal, The Avengers, The Night Manager) plays the title role in Shakespeare’s searing tragedy of political manipulation and revenge.
AAADT_Revelations

What can I say about Black Panther besides: WAKANDA FOREVER!
I don’t think I have ever been this excited to watch a movie before. When I first saw T’Challa (aka Chadwick Boseman) in Captain America: Civil War, I knew he was going to change my life. (Not literally, I’m just being dramatic. Which is odd, because I always wanted Idris Elba to be Black Panther and Lupita Nyong’o to be Storm but… I’m glad about what came to fruition.) T’Challa stole every scene he was in and I was actually rooting for him to kill Bucky. Yeah, I’m glad he didn’t but, I was willing to let him Bucky go. By time Civil War was over, I was beyond ready for T’Challa’s solo movie: Black Panther.
First thing about this movie: THE CAST! Chadwick Boseman is a handsome man. (That has nothing to do with his acting capabilities, I just thought I should point it out.) His love interest is Lupita Nyong’o and she’s one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. (Have you seen her?) Immediately I was amazed that a DARK SKIN woman was cast as his love interest. I was already going to see the movie, but that fact alone made me ecstatic.
SIDE NOTE
Should I settle for having any shade of black people cast in the media? Sure, BUT I am getting tired of always seeing the same shade of Black women in the movies/television shows I watch. When a black actress is needed, they are almost always light skinned, or they appear to be biracial. Men do not face the same issue as there are plenty of dark skin men in the media, but when it comes to their love interest, they are considerably lighter than the men. Or, if a show needs a token Black person, the woman will most likely be of the lighter hue. It varies for men, but they are usually dark skin. Here are some examples:
Dre and Rainbow in Black-ish
Uncle Phil and the new Aunt Vivian in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
Both Storms in the X-Men franchises (Even though Storm is darker in comics)
Dwayne and Whitley in A Different World
Martin and Gina in Martin
Oscar and Trudy in The Proud Family
Cliff and Clair in The Cosby Show
Squirrel Girl Show (Coming soon) Dwayne Taylor (Dark skin), Deborah Fields (fair skin)
Anyway, I’m getting off subject. There are, of course, exceptions to those examples. I said all the above just to put in perspective of how excited I was to see Lupita as a leading lady. She was brave, determined, and ready to risk everything for what SHE believed in.
 And we’re BACK!
The women in this movie are amazing. (Mostly dark skin women) Danai as the general Okoye was spectacular. She was commanding, powerful, and still beautiful! There was a scene in the movie where Okoye and Nakia were chasing after the bad guys in Busan when Nakia mentions that T’Challa was not with them. Okoye simply says that he can take care of himself and went on with her mission. She was not there to save or babysit T’Challa, but there to assist him with the mission. Okoye was never questioned, and she was free to speak her mind. As general, she took an oath to defend the throne and when T’Challa was M.I.A she stayed strong and performed her duties without hesitation even though it hurt her to do so. And she was willing to kill the man she loved for her country! Yes, my girl!
Another amazing actress was Letitia Wright aka Shuri. Shuri was T’Challa’s younger sister and princess of Wakanda. (Again, another dark skin woman portraying someone important.) At 16 years old, she was responsible for designing the Black Panther suit and developing new technology for the nation. 16. Woman. AND IN CHARGE! Nobody questioned (well, except for M’Baku) her abilities and trusted that she could perform incredible feats without much assistance. There were no, “But, you’re just a girl,” moments for Shuri. She was free to excel and to be taken seriously.
And last but not least, no woman in this movie compromised their ideals or identity for a man! How refreshing is that?? The women are just as fierce as the men and I enjoyed seeing them in action scenes without being objectified.

And Fate Steeles in? (Gina & Murphy)
@avictimofthejazz continued from X
The ebony-haired officer winces as the poor victim groans. She’d witnessed the brutal hit and she and Trudy had managed to scare off the guy before she moved to render aide. “That was some hit you took there,” the words float almost delicately from her tongue. Then after a beat she concludes, “you must have gotten on someone’s bad side real fast. There a reason he hit you? Or were you just blindsided?”
Tumblr media
“Easy. Easy...” She scolds softly, cautioning him to move very gently if he must move at all. “You’ve got quite a lump,” Calabrese expresses, begrudgingly removing her fingers from the soft fluff of copper-strands. The undercover vice cop gives him time to sit up, keeping her hands near-by should he prove to require assistance during the process.“ You sure? You want me to run you to the hospital or anything?” She can’t help but be overly concerned for him.
“Wait?” She pauses, hand pressing firm to his shoulder. “What do you know about that guy?” Vice had been trying to nail him on everything from gambling, murder, and drug charges. “You a cop or something, Sugar?” Gina couldn’t help but think his handsome features were soft, surprisingly extremely pleasant to saturate in.

Rules: Pick 5 shows, then answer the following questions. Don’t cheat. Tag some people. I was tagged by @someheroescarryfloss
1. Outlander
2. Turn
3. Miami Vice
4. 911
5. Manifest
Who is your favourite character in 2? Lord. This is such a hard question to answer because I love all the Culpers so much. Okay, I have a love-hate relationship with Abe Woodhull. I’d say partly Anna Strong because I write as her. But I love Ian Khan’s General George Washington SOOO Much and then Benjamin Tallmadge follows as close seconds and thirds.
Who is your least favourite character in 1? Randal. He gives me the heebie geebies. I despised him. And I’m quickly growing to despise Stephan Bonnet. Kill him off already!!!!
What is your favourite episode of 4? As twisted as it is for my liking of 911 the most memorable happened to be the Flood ones and the one where Athena Grant’s boyfriend Emmett was killed. They’re the ones that made me cry and also offered the greatest character development.
What is your favourite season of 5? The 1st I think because it was shrouded in sooo much mystery and you could never quite predict where it was headed.
Who is your favourite couple in 3? Sonny Crockett x Gina/ Martin Castillo x May Ying/  and Rico Tubbs X Trudy
Who is your favourite couple in 2? Anna X Edmund Hewlett. I adore them sooo much.
What is your favourite episode of 1? I don’t really have a favorite tbh.
What is your favourite episode of 5?. I love the writing in the very first episode the MOST. But I loved the addition to Zeke
What is your favourite season of 2? Seasons 1&2&3 are all on equal footing because of the intensity in the writing. *side eyes season 4 and it’s writers very very hard*
How long have you watched 1? On and off since the start and I’ve seen every episode- I think.
How did you become interested in 3? IA Tumblr rp friend of mine had a Crockett blog and when I was flipping through the channels on Tv Miami Vice came on. I was bored and thought, eh, what the heck. I’ve gotta watch to get an understanding of their character and they dragged me down the rabbit hole!
Who is your favourite actor in 4? Angela Bassett
Which do you prefer, 1, 2, or 5?  Turn
Which show have you seen more episodes of - 1 or 3? It’s a tie. I’ve seen every episode of both. Turn, however, I watched on repeat for 3 months.
If you could be anyone from 4, who would you be?! Athena for sure.
Would a crossover between 3 and 4 work? Yeah. Actually it would kind work as both shows involve cops and emergency responders. Although, the 80s vibe and motif might be hard to recapture in a modern Los Angeles setting. And you’d have to get the cast of Vice back together and they’re all a bit older now than they were.
Pair two characters in 1 who would make an unlikely but strangely okay couple? Fergus and Brianna Frazer? *squinty eyes* Because technically by blood Fergus is NOT related and he’s adorable and adventurous.
Overall, which show has the better storyline, 3 or 5? Miami Vice if you exclude season 4 and like 80s tv show drama as it excludes the melodrama of love triangles.
Which has better theme music, 2 or 4? Turn #2 for sure!!!!!!! Is it bad I don’t really think 911 has a theme or if it does it hasn’t been captivating enough for me to pay attention to.
I’m tagging @mellowoutpal @afourletterwordfordirt @officer-chen @officerxwilliams @femme-fatale-mcgarrett @stupiidgood @itisweselton @throughtimeillbethere @thedoctornumber11 @familyxdutyxhonor @moretreasurewithin @ive-been-reminding-you @firstrespcnse @firstrespxnders @sharp-teeth-and-wide-grins  @alreadybrcken @aequilibriium @theiirstories @muddledmenagerie @rockinthedots @gcldbound @truthsecn @backedagainstthewall @fallsekings @historypowered
and anyone else who wants to do it
