please i must know if you have any thoughts or feelings about remy street fighter he is my favorite special guy from streets he is the worst he is a complete loser and i hate everything about him and i love him with all my heart

i think this mid june pride month meme i legit jsut drew summarizes my feelings abt remy: he is very funny by existing

he’s a bikei, very french twink version of an otherwise burly very american sf archetype, and that in and of itself is just so fucking funny to me. if they ever acknowledge him again i hope capcom explains why he just has guile/nash’s abilities, to the extent that he can throw sonicbooms/virtues out w one arm

i also quite like the hc (and i apologize bc i didn’t come up w it i saw it here by someone else) that remy doesn’t know english at all (EDIT: credit to this post), but he is 100% fluent in japanese. french man delivers brooding dark speech abt the nature of violence and fighting in perfect japanese.

i do think the teens make fun of him in the “look at that high waisted man he’s got feminine hips” kinda way bc he deserves it. idt he’d actually have an outburst but he’d certainly be very annoyed by it. i imagine they just start speaking english so he can’t understand them

it’s so unfortunate he’s in the sf game where projectiles are the weakest, but god pierrot at evo this year really makes u realize just how fucking amazing 3rd strike can be, even if i’ll never reach that level of Playing Out of Your Fucking Mind

cleaning through maikeru chun AND 1.5 of the best fucking yun’s in the world (sho and boss were the yun grand finals mirror in evo japan 2024) is smth that should go down in the history books. it would’ve if he’d won, but it really demonstrates that there’s just so much more than top tier bullshit if u just play outta ur damn mind.

the fact that it’s remy up here emboldens it: he sucks but he’s just so fucking hype and you can’t help but cheer for david against three fucking goliaths. literally one of the worst characters in the game, bottom three, but still capable of such feats against such oppressive top tiers. that’s so fucking french of him like viva la resistance mon camarade

closing thoughts i think that he should be nonbinary/transfem if reintroduced or just use completely different pronouns and it’s never explained. here’s a shitty concept doodle i hope they’re alt punk and proud

You know what, kudos to Capcom. Casting Cody Rhodes as Guile in the upcoming Street Fighter movie was an inspired choice. He definitely makes more sense than Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Also, if this casting ends up being true, then Summerslam’s end result is obvious. Cody beats John Cena, Cena turns face and holds up Cody’s hand as a sign he’s passing the torch to him, then Seth Rollins cashes in his MITB contract. This allows Cody to take another hiatus from WWE in order to film Street Fighter while also setting up a Seth-Cena feud.
