Florida House seeks to block social media access for teens citing privacy and safety concerns
On Jan. 24, the Florida House of Representatives passed House Bill (HB) 1 with sweeping bipartisan support, on a vote of 106 to13. The bill would ban teens aged 16 years of age and under from owning social media accounts that can upload content, track user data or include “addictive features,” making it one of the strictest legal measures taken on the issue in the nation.  The bill calls for the…

Idk if this was asked but I've been rereading HB1 and I just wanna know, what was going on through Joseph's mind before being beautifully murdered? Like what was his last thoughts as he die?
His last thought before he died was pure, wordless rage at having been disobeyed 😌

The Borealis. I want to know everything.
Icebreaker ship turned Research Vessel which began construction in the 1970’s by Aperture Science, it was proposed as an FSII solution during a competing bid against Black Mesa for a Defense Logistics Agency contract, the idea that the scientists and engineers was a simple one - you don’t need fuel if craft can simply teleport.
So, for the next decade, Aperture Science gets to work on constructing the Borealis, filling it with various gadgets such as a Material Emancipation Grill and Unstationary Scaffold. However, desperation in the fight against Black Mesa strikes and corners begin to be cut on the project, the failing state of Cave Johnson is no help to this problem.
An email is filed to Cave Johnson by one of the leads on the project, only known as “J.H.”, the Borealis is ready. They iterate it was designed to be durable, and easy to get materials for since outside of those in the know on the project, it was seen as just a simple icebreaker ship. The corners cut lead to Aperture stripping out a lot of what was in the ship, there is no backup supplies, and no food onboard.
In the case that the Borealis ever needs to be sent off, it’s equipped with an OR box, the activation code of which being “hb1”. And one day, the Borealis is to set out for it’s very first run of teleportation. The OR box is activated, and then - disaster strikes. Everyone onboard, part of the drydock, all gone in an instant, vanished. No one knows where it went, no one knows where it was meant to go, and the cost of cutting corners shatters all hope Aperture had for beating out Black Mesa for the contract.
And so, the company moves on, they seal up Test Shaft 09, and the Borealis project is left to simply the status of being a rumour of a failed Aperture Science vessel.
But, nearly 40 years after the fact, the Combine have been occupying the Earth for 20 years now, and they’re in need of a teleportation solution so that they may find a way to reliably link up with their homeworld once more. While the Resistance is kept untouched only by the sheer fact the Combine know they’re developing teleportation technology that can be stolen later, there is something else.
Discovered after the collapse of the Combine’s oppressive Citadel, Judith Mossman of the Resistance forces has actually found something else, once thought to be rumours only — the legendary Borealis. The data packet is stolen by the Combine, only to be stolen back by the Resistance, revealing that the Borealis is real, resides in the Arctic, and it’s stuck. Once the Resistance brings down the Super Portal being formed by the Citadel’s remains, all eyes on Earth turn north. The Combine know where the Borealis is, the Resistance knows where it is, and each side begin to race their way up to finally have it for themselves, with one outcome better than the other.

Trans rights are still under attack in the United States. Please visit our website linked below to learn about your state and contact your reps. Here's a thread of today's updates:
A bathroom bill denies access to public restrooms by gender or trans identity. They increase danger without making anyone any safer and have even prompted attacks on cis and trans people alike. Many national health and anti-sexual assault organizations oppose these bills.
Arkansas SB270 was re-referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Healthcare bills go against professional and scientific consensus that gender affirming care saves lives. Denying access will cause harm. Providers are faced with criminal charges, parents are threatened with child abuse charges, and intersex children are typically exempted.
Georgia SB140 passed committee and moved to the floor.
Kansas SB233 passed in the Senate yesterday.
Mississippi HB1125 "Regulate Experimental Adolescent Procedures (reap)" passed in the House and Senate and is on its way to the Governor.
Tennessee HB1 passed and now moves on to the Governor.
Wyoming SF0144 passed committee and now moves to the House floor.
Public performance bans, or "drag bans," restrict access for folks who are gender non-conforming in any way. They loosely define "drag" as any public performance with an “opposite gender expression,” as sexual in nature, and inappropriate for children. This also pushes trans individuals out of public spaces.
Montana HB359 was scheduled for a second hearing.
Tennessee HB9 passed, and now moves on to the Governor.
Schooling / Parental Rights bills force schools to misgender or deadname students, ban instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity, and make schools alert parents if they suspect a child is trans. They remove life-saving affirmation and support for trans youth.
Florida H1069 was pre-filed yesterday.
Arkansas SB294 passed committee yesterday.
Indiana HB1407 passed in the House and has crossed over to the Senate.
Indiana HB1608 had its second reading yesterday.
Oklahoma HB2546 passed in committee.
Sex designation bills make it harder for trans folks to have IDs, such as birth certificates, that match their gender identity. They can force a male or female designation based upon sex assigned at birth. Some ban a non-binary “X” marker or require surgery to qualify for ID updates.
Kentucky HB585, a birth certificate bill, was filed and sent to the House Committee on Committees Committee yesterday.
Montana SB458, a sex definition bill, was introduced and had its first reading in the Senate yesterday.
Texas SB1082, a sex definition bill, was filed yesterday.
Kansas SB180 passed in the Senate today.
Most sports bills force schools to designate teams by sex assigned at birth. They are often one-sided and ban trans girls from playing on teams consistent with their gender identity. Some egregious bills even force invasive genital examinations on student athletes.
Kansas HB2238 passed in the House yesterday.
These are other negative bills that attack trans rights outside of the bill types above.
Iowa SF212, an adoption and foster care bill, passed in subcommittee and has a hearing tomorrow at 10am in the Senate.
We also have good news to share! These are either updates on positive bills which protect and affirm trans individuals or updates on anti-trans bills that have failed.
Wyoming SF0144, a healthcare ban, is almost certainly dead, but may still be voted on.
It's not too late to stop these and other hateful anti-trans bills from passing into law. You can go to http://transformationsproject.org/ to learn more and contact your representatives.

Wait if you're still doing them. Arumu and Kirara for the character ask
Arumu
My favorite thing about Arumu is her personality; Like she didn't have to help still made the active decision to and was still nice to pretty everyone she interacts w/. My least favorite thing is not knowing what happened to her at the end of 1beat bc like in terms of canon is she dead? alive??? The fact we'll never know for sure kinda hurts. (She was alive and well in source thank god) Favorite Line: "I'm always prepared to die!!" brOTP - Nanase, Arumu n Misane, Toukai pretty much unofficially adopts her to for helping out frfr. OTP - N/A nOTP - Her w anyone tbh in the cast, she doesn't really have anyone around her age nor any chemistry w anyone for shipping; bc most if it was like interviewing the others out of the main duo so she has more of a professional one with the others so it feels off but I digress, A random hc I have is Arumu has been into photography when she was younger which is why she likes keeping around an analog polaroid camera. Don't think I have any unpopular opinions tbh. Sadly I don't have any songs I asscoiate w Arumu I don't think my emo ass music taste can't work for her (Im so sorry D:) (I also don't think the occasional pop songs I listen to work either) (Im gonna start my hb1 arc over this </3 /j)

Kirara
My favorite thing about her is her event like shes so silly and generally had a memorable event. My least favorite thing about her is probably how she's not as fleshed out as the hackers or the main cast bc shes a side character </3 Favorite Line: "Hm? Meee? Kirara! Like my name's all sparkly, huh? It's shining like, like, me!"' bOTP - Tobari and Kirara - I personally think they go on shopping trips together! (copied and pasted lol /lh) OTP - Her w Ryuuri duh!! nOTP - Anyone thats not Ryuuri, again duh! /lh A random hc is she had a scene phase when younger in which she teased her hair which why she likes her hair in the style that it is in now I also dont have any unpopular opinions for her tbh I associate the song Bad Girls by M.I.A. w her! (It fits her aesthetic imo)

Knox Pride exec dismayed after drag, trans bills pass TN House
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Disappointed, disheartened and speechless were words used by an executive of local nonprofit Knox Pride when describing how the organization feels about the bills that passed the Tennessee House of Representatives on Thursday.
The House passed HB1 and HB9, which respectively bans transgender therapy for children and limits where drag shows can be held. Each of those bills must go back to the senate for amendments to be approved, but once are voted on, they are expected to pass and go to the Governor Bill Lee’s desk.

Ocean Freight Forwarding
Ocean freight forwarding refers to the process of shipping goods internationally through sea routes with the help of freight forwarders. Freight forwarders are intermediaries or agents who organize and manage the transportation of goods from the point of origin to the destination port. Ocean freight forwarding is a crucial aspect of international trade, especially for transporting large volumes of goods over long distances.
