Akatsuki no yona 252 ending + thoughts

First of all: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! PANIC!!!!!!

But secondly, look how hurt Yona is... I don't know how to describe it exactly, but her expression doesn't seem to be shocked the same way we've seen her shocked before. This looks like disbelief at being betrayed; this looks like 'not again'.

And I imagine this isn't just betrayal because of what Zeno is actively doing, but also he lied to her!! In 251 he dodged a lot of questions without outright lying (or so it seems), but he straight up told Yona he didn't have the chalice. And now, not only does he have it, but he's been using it to do the very thing Yona & co have been witnessing in horror and trying to stop.

Of course I think Zeno is doing this for the dragon's protection somehow, but I am tearing my hair out waiting to find out what exactly is going on and why he had to go about it this way. My heart hurts and my anxiety is through the roof.

We start off with nostalgia, a visit back to them as kids. Then a flash forward to a grown Lee Jun sitting on a swing where they used to play, admitting to having missed Choi Jun.

Back on the job, we find out that there is a big project that all the new recruits are expected to participate and do well in. That's if they want to keep their jobs. Lee Jun is understandably nervous for an idiot who doesn't understand that the boss will take care of all his needs.

Cause Choi Jun is making all the moves. Invitation to dinner. Using cute emoticons. Meanwhile, bestie Song Hyun Jae is trying to throw down some moves as well. You guys, Lee Jun is cute but an idiot. What person doesn't know that you need a receipt for a company card?

Why are they using the word high maintenance? I feel like it should be exchanged for needy. The "enjoy your relationship." Had me giggling because yeah, that was cute. But seriously, all the eyes that Jun & Jun were giving each other. It reminding me of another pair of characters.

Let's just say it was obvious and had I worked with them. I would have been like Song Hyun Jae and for sure caught on.

Dragons Rising season 2 Spoilers under the cut!!!!!! Be warned!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I haven't been this excited about Ninjago in FOREVER.

The writing in season 1 was already great but this season really stepped it up even more!!!

Dont get me wrong, I LOVE Ninjago and I have for years, but this season really has me looking back like

It probably helps that I just finished a rewatch of the whole show and watching Crystallized and Dragons Rising back to back really highlights how much of an improvement we've gotten.

Ahem. Spoilers!

I feel like everyone got a chance to shine in this half of the season. Between last season and this one I FINALLY started caring about Kai again (I love him....he just hasn't been given much to do in ages). His and Wyldfyre's dynamic is adorable and wonderful and I need him to get out of the Netherworld AS SOON AS POSSIBLE (but not before he and Bonzle become besties).

Favorite parts of the season rapid-fire:

-ZANE CALLING COLE ADORABLE AND COLE SAYING HE'S ALWAYS ADORABLE HECK YEAH COLE YOU ARE🥰🥰🥰(he's been my number one for years)

-speaking of Cole! He and Geo are as close to canon as we're probably getting and while I am a lavashipper at heart, those two are so cute.

-Lloyd facing the consequences of his actions! (And there BEING consequences) and straight up saying that he has panic attacks because of his visions. I am such a sucker for Lloyd Angst and this season was full of it.

-NYA my girlfriend my fiancée my wife WOMAN THAT YOU ARE helping Kai achieve Rising Dragon and helping Lloyd with his vision trauma. Ninjago give her even more to do in Part 2 I'm not asking.

-Jay was there for 30 seconds and they missed him again!!!! I hope he gets a bigger role in Part 2. I really liked the crumbs they dropped though...he knows he doesn't belong where he is, he knows he has powers, he is scared to let anyone know.....excellent I just need MORE.

-I am So Worried about Arin but in a good way. Obviously in Part 2 he will find out about Sora using her powers to fake his object Spinjitzu and that will cause a rift in their friendship AND feed into his feelings of inadequacy AND I LOVE IT you can't have a Ninjago character without heaping piles of trauma and angst being piled onto them by the writers

-every time Kai acted like a dad is perfect. Every single time. I'm pretty sure he's like 30 now and it's about time he got a new kid to mentor (Lloyd's all grown up😭)

-Why is Cinder kinda fine??? I was not prepared for his English voice actor😭😭😭😭

-Cinder and Jordana's rivalry was hilarious and petty 10/10 no notes
