Hi Anon! Thanks for asking! I dont think there has been anyone that has translated that particular bonus chapter. I definitely own that seijo novel myself but I havent gotten around to looking at it since I have been working on another translation. I will consider translating it in the future but not quite at the moment.! If i come across anything I will also be sure to post! Direct people there!

I actually really like the possibility of Hinata and Kageyama sorta falling out of touch during the Brazil arc - not seeing each other during the Olympics or even texting much - bc I love the angst potential but also, it makes the most sense. Hinata has this sense of... inferiority i think? "why would Olympian Kageyama meet up with delivery boy me" and feels like he has to earn his place in the national stage to be able to meet Kageyama there, finally, as equals

And THEN when he finally gets there they just. Go back to talking and teasing each other like no time has passed at all. Meeting up with each other's friends, calling each other even when they're in different countries to talk about the silliest stuff. Keeping their tally updated regularly.

To me, the thought of them not talking for years feels deliciously angsty, while also making their rekindle all the more rewarding. And even when they're not in contact with each other there's still this underlying, unwavering trust in each other that they're both working towards the same goal. That they will meet again, when the time is right.

Kyoutani apparently asked Yahaba to do the contacting but I headcanon that he was there too during the specific call to Watari because this trio have a special bond, okay? 🥹❤️

I just finished volume 7 of the ハイキュー light novel series! (In case you are wondering why the cover looks different from the pictures on Amazon: Some volumes have two-sided covers. I liked this version better so I turned the cover. :D)

This volume is my favorite so far. I really enjoyed the events in this volume!

No one can convince me Kagehina aren't friends. They're SO silly together and they love teasing each other and they're always near each other. Whenever one of them is troubled by something, the other can always pick up on it, and always knows how to make things better. They haven't known each other all that long, but they just get each other on such a deep level.

"...Not just a friend, but also..." I take the wording here to mean Hinata does consider Kageyama his friend, although their relationship goes a level deeper. Because Hinata has lots of friends already - he's very good at befriending people wherever he goes - but Kageyama was his first partner.

Tldr; they're soulmates and I like to believe they're in love, but they also just... like each other. They enjoy each other's company. They're friends, period.
