tbh i dont think the finale was as complicated as everyone makes it out to be. sutekh is a viewer, just like us. hes obsessed with the "mystery". ruby's mum isn't the reason it snows, or the reason that christmas eve 2004 is "raw and open" and keeps changing. its sutekhs obsession. he gave that night its importance by building it up and obsessing over the answer to the one question he couldnt find, in the same way that we did. we gave rubys abandonment its huge significance with all our theories and our desperate need to understand. in a way, we are sutekh. voyeurs of a deeply personal moment that we never had any right to. building ruby into a mystery when shes really just a person. shes special because we believe she is. time is memory.
#god the use of tv as a medium in this season was unparalleled#to US theyre tv show characters but to THEM theyre living people#of course the reveal was anticlimactic#ruby sunday isnt a legendary tale. shes not a chosen one#shes just ruby#she worked so hard for her happy ending and she deserves it#ruby and her mum are paralleled by the kind woman and her baby#not 'special' or alien or chosen by fate#just kind#what saves a broken world?#random acts of kindness.#doctor who#doctor who spoilers#ruby sunday#empire of death

This mother and her ~4 year old kid had a conversation in Japanese next to me and I was thrilled to understand all of it.
Granted it was a tiny child and a mum speaking very slowly so he could understand her but I was still thrilled.

#thylacines can talk#originally Flower being more feminine was half out of spite for people who call THK a 'he' but now it just genuienly makes me happy#talking with my friends about Flower asking to be called a princess and PK and WL in turn asking if they have a daughter a son or a child#its just AAAAGH!!! MAKES ME SO HAPPY. It's so delightful!! Flower deserves to be seen and heard and have their opinions be prioritised#and a little bit of gender euphoria. as a treat.#the scenario in question is basically PK going to fight the Radiance and Flower goes to help him and they find out AFTERWARDS that Flower's#alive when he asks WL why she sent them after him and she's confused and says she didn't. she assumed he took them with him. and at this#point Flower decides to drop their mask (figurately and literally) and apologises for lying and going against his orders but they couldnt#let him do this by himself. theres a moment of shock and then Flower smiles shyly and goes 'hi mum hi dad' and get tackled into a hug <3#its overall super happy and fluffy and no angst or anger for a change. the entire convo happens as the two are gushing about yheir baby#being alive after it fully hits them and they call them their little prince and Flower asks to be called a princess instead#they immediately correct themselves and PK gushes about having two darlih princesses and WL asks if that means theyll wear dresses and gets#all excited about the prospect of getting them dresses and matching with them#and then they ask if they have a child a son or a daughter and Flower gets SO giddy and replies a child but theyd love it if they call them#their son or daughter from time to time. And Flower just gets smothered in cuddles and kisses and called their beutiful son and handsome#daughter and darling little girl and they're SO happy and crying#that entire scene makes me so incredibly happy you have no idea

Really hate how after every task i complete i need at least a half-hour break this is so inconvenient but man am i tired!!!

at this point i actually need my endless celeb crushes and my junk food to make me not turn to drugs

I just witnessed a birth...in tears right now, women are so wonderful
#i just left my house went to the bus station and two women asked me to call the emergency line#there was a woman in labor on the floor but thank god more women came and together we all helped the woman relax as much as possible#in a blink of an eye the baby was there#thankfully a woman had a blanket and a scarf because it's cold out and shortly after the paramedics arrived#truly a miracle i am still in awe and immediately had to call my mum#seeing all these women coming together to help a woman give birth...🥹#the muslim women immediately shouted mashallah when the baby came and everyone especially the mother were so so happy and relieved#now i'm on the bus because i'm taking an exam in 35 minutes...life is insane
