In 1979, Frank Zappa took a shine to an Eastern Indian rock/jazz violinist, L. Shankar. So much so that he produced an album with him, "Touch Me There." Not only does Frank produce, but he also co-writes half of the album and performs on one cut, "Dead Girls of London." So, not surprisingly, this disc sounds like much of the material Zappa was releasing around that time, even though it is technically a "Shankar" album. After obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Physics in India, Shankar moved to America in 1969 and earned a doctorate in ethnomusicology at Wesleyan University. Here he met jazz musicians Ornette Coleman, Jimmy Garrison, and John McLaughlin while working as a teaching assistant and concert master of the University Chamber Orchestra. In 1975 Shankar and McLaughlin founded Shakti, a pioneering, groundbreaking and highly influential east-meets-west collaboration, with a fluid sound that managed to successfully combine seemingly incompatible traditions. His first solo album, Touch Me There, was produced by Frank Zappa in 1979.[3] Shankar founded his own band - The Epidemics, in 1982, with the composer Caroline. He released three albums with the band. During the 1980s, Shankar recorded periodically as a leader, doing both jazz-based material and Indian classical music. His 1980 release of the album Who's To Know on ECM introduced the unique sound of his own invention, the ten-string, stereophonic double violin. This instrument, designed by Shankar and built by noted guitar maker Ken Parker, covers the entire orchestral range, including double bass, cello, viola and violin. He has recently developed a newer version of his instrument which is much lighter than the original.[3] 1990 saw Shankar co-producing a one hour film directed by H. O. Nazareth, which went on to be nominated for Best Documentary film at the Cannes film festival. Shankar worked on the score of the film The Last Temptation of Christ (1988),composed by Peter Gabriel, with his music ending up on both albums of the score - Passion: Music for The Last Temptation of Christ and Passion - Sources. He won a Grammy for his work on the latter in 1994. 1996 saw a Grammy nomination for the album Raga Aberi.[1] Shankar has performed on several of Peter Gabriel's records such as So and Us. Since 1996, Shankar has toured internationally with fellow-violinist (and his niece) Gingger as "Shankar & Gingger", garnering critical acclaim and popularity.[4] The two performed at events including the Concert for Global Harmony and Nelson Mandela's 80th birthday celebrations. Shankar & Gingger released their first DVD One in a Million in 2001. After a critically successful tour of North America, the DVD went to number 1 on the Neilsen Soundscan DVD charts and stayed there for four weeks.[3] In 2004, Shankar composed additional music with Gingger Shankar for John Debney and performed on the score for the film The Passion of the Christ (2004). Shankar has played with some of the greatest musical contemporaries of his time, including Lou Reed, Echo & the Bunnymen, Talking Heads, Frank Zappa, Peter Gabriel, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Charly García, Jonathan Davis, Bruce Springsteen, Van Morrison, Stewart Copeland, Yoko Ono, A. R. Rahman, John Waite, Steve Vai, Ginger Baker, Toto, Nils Lofgren, Mark O'Connor, and Sting.[3] Shankar has been praised for his ability to mix Eastern and Western influences, assimilating Carnatic music with pop, rock, jazz and contemporary world music.[5] He admits "Ultimately, I would like to bring the East and West together. That, I think, is my role," he says. More recently, Shankar has used a new stage name, Shenkar, and has created recordings under this name. In 2006  2007, Shenkar provided the vocals for the opening credit music and other themes for all episodes of the hit TV series Heroes. He has been lately working in Jonathan Davis', Stephen Day and Ana Maria Lombo's next records.

Lal Salaam Trailer: Rajinikanth plays Moideen Bhai in Aishwarya Rajinikanth’s sports drama starring Vishnu Vishal, watch
Senthil, Jeevitha, Thambi Ramaiah, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna, and Thangadurai star in pivotal roles.
Rajinikanth enthusiasts anticipating his on-screen charisma can gear up to see him in the upcoming film, Lal Salaam, originally slated for a Pongal 2024 premiere. Following his last blockbuster venture, Jailer, the megastar's fans will be seeing him in theatres on February 9, 2024. The trailer of the film arrived three days before the theatrical release but it gives a vague idea about the film. Headlined by Vishnu Vishal, the film has an extended cameo of the Tamil superstar.
Tumblr media
The trailer sees Vishnu Vishal, who is an alcoholic but is poised to bring his name to his village through cricket. Rajinikanth plays the role of Moideen Bhai in the movie. While the film doesn’t give any hints about how his character shapes in the movie, the trailer doesn’t leave much impact as his previous works have. “I trust in the justice system. I just don’t trust a few black sheep in the system,” says the character. The storyline seems about religious harmony in society.
The film marks the directorial venture of Aishwarya Rajinikanth. With music composed by A R Rahman, Lal Salaam stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead roles along with Senthil, Jeevitha, Thambi Ramaiah, Ananthika Sanilkumar, Vivek Prasanna, and Thangadurai in pivotal roles.

ORIGIN OF THE ULTIMATE REMEDY
SURAH AR-RAHMAN, #55, NOBLE QUR’AN,
Ever since the revelation of The Holy Quran, the people of Islam are continuously benefiting from Its light and energy with same intensity and effect. But how to get it? In our times, there came a very noble person of a notable Syed family, Makhdoom Syed Safdar Hussain Bukhari (RA), whose initial research was on Music and Dhammaal Therapy.
He was known as Baba Bukhari (RA) among his loving followers, who strongly believe that he is the real torch bearer for the distracted and those desperately looking for light and guidance.  Baba Bukhari (RA) was a practical man, who never asked people to do something unless he had not done it himself. So he came out with a brilliant idea of curing all types of diseases through “The Qur'anic Radiations”.
He (RA) said, “every alphabet of Quran radiates light and energy in the heart and mind; provided it is listened with deeper concentration”. He gave a practical demonstration and the results were fascinating. What he did? He purchased the audio cassette of Surah “Ar-Rehman," a recitation of Qari Abdul Basit Abdul Samad. He (RA) gathered the people, directed them to close their eyes, asked them to empty their minds and feel the presence of GOD.
The cassette was then played and everyone listened to it till the end with deeper concentration. When he (RA) asked the people to open their eyes after the recitation had ended, majority were weeping, whereas a few looked absolutely stunned; only tears could be seen coming out of their eyes. Then he served every individual with a half glass of water and said, “Close your eyes, go deep into your heart and then say 'ALLAH” three times in the heart and then drink water in three sips with closed eyes”.
They did so and when he asked them to open their eyes, every one looked relaxed and comfortable. They had tasted a sweet water, which in fact was the normal tap water. Actually, absolute concentration created harmony between soul and body and all got connected to The Almighty and were eventually cured with His blessings. Now the question was, how to deliver this message to the entire humanity.
Thanks to the technology which helped in spreading the message and the same idea for the betterment of mankind was given to Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV). They instantly approved it and a pilot program with the title “Ar-Rehman” was made by the Senior Program Producer Syed Shakir Uzair (Waris-e-Qalandar). He had earlier produced QASEEDAH BURDAH SHARIF, a program which attracted millions of people and had the distinction to cure the most fatal of diseases; the paralysis.
People still use this program as a treatment for paralysis.
The pilot program (Ar-Rehman) was a successful undertaking, which gave a new dimension to the religious programs. PTV approved the pilot program and the Series was launched in January of 2001. The programs were recorded in different hospitals, villages and cities and gained tremendous viewership.
The program also included the live expressions of participants. The Qur'anic Radiation gave a new hope and life to the most dejected ones. The audience were provided with an e-mail account [email protected] and telephone numbers for sharing their experiences.
The entire experiment which was telecast, covered more than 15000 people of various ages suffering from different diseases. From headache to cancer, heart trouble to physical disability; the patients were contacted, treated and cured by the grace of “ALLAH”. All this happened on TV screen which really created a new hope and brought people out of absolute dejection.
The program also included the expressions of the leading religious scholars from all over the country who added further flavor in the program through multiple references defined in the Quran and Sunnah, the importance of Qur'anic Radiation was highlighted.
While doing the experimentation in the hospitals, the doctors also became a part of it, many of them had remarkable feelings. I remember a doctor saying, “we can only prescribe medicine, not the remedy. ‘Shifa’ is from ALLAH”. The doctors also gave references of the “Faith Healing” concepts being practiced all over the world. The program clicked and indeed it was the need of the time. Many of the hospitals installed audio system and played the recitation of Surah “Ar-Rehman”. The results were astonishing, the frequency of patients reduced and curing ratio increased, the dejected ones came to life.
The program was telecast for 6 months on the national network and was later shown on the prime TV Norway which covered a vast European population. The message continues to spread as people gather in different groups and benefit from The Ultimate Remedy.
The program also included the message of its creator, Makhdoom Bukhari (RA), “The Quran is 'Shifa," I have taken Surah “Ar-Rehman” because it has great rhythm and the recitation of Qari Abdul Basit is very soothing and effective as he has recited from the depths of his heart. The one who listens with deeper concentration, does get the benefit. All one has to do is to feel its revelation in ones heart. Always feel the presence of GOD, never be the ignorant”.
Baba Bukhari (RA) achieved what he had desired, a real service to mankind. A selfless human made worth of his life by giving a remarkable remedy to the sufferers and a guide line for the generations to follow. He did not charge a single penny from PTV for his idea and research. He believed, “Money is like a snake, it bites you and generates anxiety and depression. Once you become its victim, you are deprived of the precious wealth which is the peace of mind and heart”. GOD says, “All the Muslims are brother of one another so help your brother at the time of need”.
The Prophet HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (SallAllahu 'alaihi waSallam) said, “Choose only that thing for your brother which you prefer for your self”. So Makhdoom Baba Bukhari (RA) said, “When you are cured, give this message to your brethren, they might be needing it”. This message is the continuity of the direction well defined in the last Sermon of HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (SallAllahu 'alaihi waSallam) .

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
“Bismillah, ar-Rahman, ar-Rahim”
meaning
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
The Arabic phrase shown above is pronounced as Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim, and is a beautifully poetic phrase which offers both deep insight and brilliant inspiration. It has often been said that the phrase Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim contains the true essence of the entire Qur'an, as well as the true essence of all religions.
Muslims often say this phrase when embarking on any significant endeavor, and the phrase is considered by some to be a major pillar of Islam. This expression is so magnificent and so concise that all but one chapter of the Qur'an begins with the words Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim.
The common translation:
"In the name of God, most Gracious, most Compassionate".
fails to capture either the true depth of meaning or the inspirational message of this beautiful phrase. So, let's look deeper into the meaning of these wonderful words.
Origin and Spelling:
Every chapter of the Qur'an (except the ninth chapter) begins with the Arabic phrase:
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
However, there are many differing views on how this phrase should be transliterated using the English alphabet, as well as differing views on whether or not to include some of the Arabic rules of grammar. Consequently, one may encounter a variety of different transliterations of this glorious phrase, including:
bismillahi al r-rahmani al r-rahim
bismillahi al rahman al rahim
bismillah al rahman al rahim
bismi Allah al rahman al rahim
bismillahi-r rahmani-r rahim
bismillaah ir rahmaan ir raheem
bismillah ir rahman ir rahim
However, regardless of how one may choose write the English transliteration of the original Arabic, it is neither the writing of the words nor their pronunciation which is crucial, but rather we shall each be rewarded according to what is in our heart and how we act in the world.
Those who say these words with thoughts of self-aggrandizement, or selfish gains, or self-centered vain profit in any manner, will receive their just reward... suffering, pain and confusion. Likewise, those who truly dedicate every step of their life to the glory and service of the Ever-present One shall also receive their just reward... peace, love and beauty.
This phrase is truly an ideal to be expressed from the heart, an ideal to be expressed with the utmost sincerity, an ideal which leads us toward sacred purpose, the purpose for which we have been given life.
Let's look at the deeper meaning of each word of this glorious phrase:
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
bismillah
The common translation for bismillah is "In the name of Allah", which is actually an idiom, an expression that really doesn't make much sense on a literal word-by-word basis.
The phrase In the name of is an idiom having the connotation of with the blessings of, under the governance of, as an instrument of, in devotion to, in adoration of, on behalf of, with the support of, or for the glory of. In each of these cases, the idiom In the name of indicates that one is submitting to, honoring or glorifying that which is referred to.
Now, let's take a deeper look into the Arabic roots of this magnificent word bismillah.
The term bismillah, is a combination of three words:
1. The particle bi which can mean by, for, with the aid of, through or by means of and points toward that which happens next.
2. The next word in this phrase is ism, based on the root variously reported to be s-m-w or a-s-m, which indicates the means by which something is distinguished, whether by use of an identifying mark, or by being raised up high so that it may be distinguished, and would include a name, reputation, light or vibration, and points toward the very essence of something, the inherent qualities and signs of the existence of something, the underlying reality of something.
3. The ending of the term is the word Allah, which is the Arabic name of the One. The Semitic roots of the word Allah extend back several thousand years to the Canaanite Elat, Hebrew El and Elohim, and Aramaic Alaha. These roots point toward unity, oneness, the eternal power which includes all of existence and of non-existence. In modern English this would generally be translated as God (which is old English, likely based on the Sanskrit word hu, meaning that which is worshipped, honored or adored).
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Using these basic roots, the term bismillah might be translated as:
- By means of the very essence of God
- For the glory of our Creator
- With the light of the One
- With the guidance of The Divine
- As an instrument of the One
- In harmony with Divine Presence
The central idea here is that whatever we do, every step that we take, every breath that we breathe, is done for, because of, and through the essence of, the One who has created us.
It is not us that does the work, it is not us that makes opportunities appear, it is not us that produces fruits from every action. We alone are powerless. The Creator has given us life and has given us the ability to move and think and feel, yet we are totally dependent upon the Creator for the very essence of life itself.
Thus, this beautiful word bismillah is a magnificent reminder of our relationship to our Creator and our relationship to all of creation.
In one simple word bismillah expresses our wonder, awe and thankfulness while it also expresses our innermost prayer that we may have the blessing of another breath, another moment of life, and that we may walk on a path of truth and understanding.
To say bismillah is to humbly offer one's self as a vehicle for the glory and majesty of The One.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ir rahman ir rahim
These two terms rahman and rahim refer to attributes of the One. While they are often translated simply as Merciful and Compassionate, the roots of the words point to a deeper meaning.
Both rahman and rahim are derived from the Semitic root r-h-m which indicates something of the utmost tenderness which provides protection and nourishment, and that from which all of creation is brought into being. And indeed, the root rhm has meanings of womb, kinship, relationship, loving-kindness, mercy, compassion, and nourishing-tenderness.
Thus, both rahman and rahim point toward that which emerges from the source of all creation, while also conveying a sense of tenderness, loving-kindness, protection and nourishment.
The term rahman is a very emphatic statement, and then the sentiment is echoed by being immediately followed by the use of another form of the same root-word. Such repetition is a joyful celebration of this Divine attribute, much the same as saying "The One who is the Supreme Loving-Kindness, oh such Loving-Kindness".
These two words, rahman and rahim, also express slightly different variations of meaning, as described in the following paragraphs.
rahman:
The term rahman describes that aspect of the source of all creation which is endlessly radiating, endlessly nourishing, regardless of who or what is receiving the endless flow of blessings.
Rahmān conveys the idea of fullness and extensiveness, indicating the great quality of love and mercy which engulfs all of creation without regard to any effort or request on our part.
According to Ibn Qayyum (1350 AD), rahmān describes the quality of abounding Grace which is inherent in and inseparable from the Almighty.
rahim:
On the other hand, the term rahim describes that aspect of the source which is issued forth only in response to the actions and behavior of the recipient. It is in this manner that God takes ten steps toward us when we take even a single step toward God.
Rahīm conveys the idea of constant renewal and giving liberal reward in response to the quality of our deeds and thoughts.
According to Ibn Qayyum (1350 AD), rahīm expresses the continuous manifestation of the Grace in our lives and its effect upon us as a result of our own activities.
ir rahman ir rahim:
Rahman points toward the Beneficent One whose endless outpouring of love and mercy are continually showered upon all of creation, while Rahim points toward the Merciful One whose love and mercy are manifested in that which is received as the consequence of one's deeds.
So, the phrase ir rahman ir rahim is a recognition and honoring of the very source of all existence, the source of all blessings, the source of all compassion, the source of all mercy who gives endlessly to us and who also responds according to our moral integrity, our harmony with all of creation and our love of Allah.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Poetic Renderings:
There is no way for any one translation to capture the many facets of this beautiful phrase Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim. Here are some poetic renderings that attempt to capture some aspects of the meaning without being literal translations:
With every breath that we breathe, may we be act on behalf of the Divine Presence, the Source of all that we receive.
With every step that we take, may we be instruments of the One Light which guides us, the Source and Nourisher of all of creation.
Every moment of this life is filled with your eternal radiance my Beloved, You are the Beneficent One who endlessly showers all of creation with nourishment and blessings, and the One who generously rewards those who live in harmony with Your Divine Will.

25 Moods Of Asha Bhosle
She sung a song for every mood, every situation. Sukanya Verma dives into Asha Bhosle's magnificent repertoire and pulls out gems on her 85th birthday.
The difference between a good singer and a great singer is that one sticks to the tune while the other brings it to life.
From the era of black-and-white to colour to 3D, the matchless Asha Bhosle has breathed life into thousands of magical songs for numerous decades and regaled us with her endless energy and mastery of sur and taal.
Her inimitable voice -- be it as the heroine, vamp or supporting actor -- is responsible for countless memorable moments on the big screen and off it. Truly, her rare gift has produced a song for every emotion, occasion and ambience.
One of India's most loved voices turns 85 on September 8. Rediff.com celebrates the legendary songstress and her astonishing versatility with a compilation of 25 songs that bring to life various moods and set-ups.
Aiye Meherbaan, Howrah Bridge (1958) Mood: Seductive Music: O P Nayyar
Asha Bhosle livens up the atmosphere with her sensual rendition of this timeless sizzler from Shakti Samanta's black-and-white mystery.
Bhanwra Bada Madaan, Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam (1962) Mood: Playful Music: Hemant Kumar
Known to modulate her voice to match a song's feel, the singer is at her animated best when she conveys the liveliness of Shakeel Badayuni's lyrics.
Chura Liya Hai Tumne, Yaadon Ki Baarat (1973) Mood: Romantic Music: Rahul Dev Burman
Despite the overexposure, there's much affection and elegance in Asha's admission of love in this chartbusting number from Nasir Hussain's lost and found musical.
Justuju Jiski Thi, Umrao Jaan (1981) Mood: Heartbroken Music: Khayyam
While a misty-eyed Rekha expresses the pathos of the ill-fated courtesan on celluloid, Asha Bhosle exudes her heartfelt agony behind it.
Sabarmati Ke Sant Tune Kar Diya Kamaal, Jagriti (1954) Mood: Patriotic Music: Hemant Kumar
The celebrated singer pays a rich tribute to the Father of the Nation in this melodious creation of Satyen Bose's National Award-winning feature film.
Parde Mein Rehne Do, Shikar (1968) Mood: Mysterious Music: Shankar-Jaikishan
The Padma Vibhushan recipient gets all secretive and guarded while teasing her listeners with a guessing game of concealed identities that is picturised on her namesake, Asha Parekh.
O Mere Sona Re, Teesri Manzil (1966) Mood: Appeasing Music: R D Burman
The two Ashas come together yet again to kiss and make up with their sulking sona -- Shammi Kapoor -- in Vijay Anand's deft whodunit.
Chanda Re Chupe Rehna, Lajwanti (1958) Mood: Maternal Music: Sachin Dev Burman
Asha Bhosle is the sound of motherly love delivering a soothing lullaby, lip-synced by Nargis in this sentimental drama about an estranged maa-beti.
Jawani Jaaneman, Namak Halal (1982) Mood: Glamorous Music: Bappi Lahiri
Nobody blends sophistication and siren quite like Asha Bhosle. And that's exactly what the queen of flamboyance does with this snazzy Bappi beat.
Piya Tu Ab To Aaja, Caravan (1971) Mood: Anxious Music: R D Burman
At a time when women were portrayed as prudishly prim, Asha Bhosle not only acknowledges the aggressively sexy possibility of Monica but gives her a sensational twist, on par with Helen's on screen bravado in this no-holds barred cabaret treat.
Dum Maaro Dum, Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971) Mood: Hippie Music: R D Burman
Nothing explains the wild aura of the 1970s better than Asha Bhosle's free-spirited rendition of the gypsy soul in RD's equally tantalising arrangement.
Khaali Haath Shaam Aayi, Ijaazat (1987) Mood: Melancholic Music: R D Burman
The pitch-perfect disappointment in Asha's rendering of the serene albeit sad notes of Khaali Haath communicate the loneliness in a hopeless situation perfectly.
Deva Ho Deva Ganpati Deva, Humse Badhkar Kaun (1998) Mood: Devotional Music: Raam-Laxman
Asha Bhosle collaborates with Mohammed Rafi, Shailendra and Bhupinder to celebrate the grand festival of Ganesh Chaturthi in this popular song from a long forgotten Mithun Chakraborty-Ranjeeta potboiler.
Tum Kitne Din Baad Mile, The Great Gambler (1979) Mood: Peeved Music: R D Burman
Do Lafzon may be the most popular on the soundtrack but Asha shows off her awe-inspiring range while letting off steam, anger and sarcasm in Tum Kitne dDin Baad Mile.
Jaane Jaan O Meri Jaane Jaan, Sanam Teri Kasam (1982) Mood: Party-hopper Music: R D Burman
RD's foot-tapping score was easily the USP of this typical poor boy-rich girl romance starring Kamal Haasan and Reena Roy.
And the husband-wife team burns the floor effortlessly with this East-West fusion leaving you a-ha, ha, ha-ing for more.
Nahi Nahi Abhi Nahi, Jawani Diwani (1972) Mood: Shy Music: R D Burman
Asha has this rare ability to act out the emotions of a scene within the song. And for this catchy number featuring Jaya Bachchan (then Bhaduri), the singer is delightfully demure as she resists the hero's eager advances.
Aao Huzoor Tumko, Kismat (1968) Mood: Drunk Music: O P Nayyar
Asha Bhosle humors Babita's intoxicated state and has fun with it to convey a lack of inhibition and control in this memorable ditty from Manmohan Desai's stable.
Yeh Saaye Hain, Yeh Duniya Hai, Sitara (1980) Mood: Reflective Music: R D Burman
Yahan Saare Chehre Hain Maange Hue Se... With grace and skill, a subdued Asha Bhosle brings life to Gulzar's insightful poetry about the emptiness that underlines the hustle bustle of show business.
saare Niyam Tod Do, Khubsoorat (1980) Mood: Rebellious Music: R D Burman
A clearly enthusiastic Asha Bhosle kickstarts a defiant non-cooperation movement, resonating the discipline vs carefree theme of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's feel-good flick.
Mere Mehboob Mein Kya Nahi, Mere Mehboob (1963) Mood: Proud Music: Naushad
Sisters and heavyweights of playback singing -- Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle -- get together to tussle over the best mehboob in this silvery Naushad composition, brimming with exaggeration and adjectives.
Khatouba, Ali Baba Aur Chalees Chor (1980) Mood: Exotic Music: R D Burman
For Umesh Mehra's Indo-Russian take on the classic Arabian fairy tale, RD employs Middle-Eastern influences while Asha lends it zing and zest with her merry inflections.
Aa Dekhen Zara, Rocky (1981) Mood: Competitive Music: R D Burman
Even as Kishore Kumar (for Sanjay Dutt) and RD (for Shakti Kapoor) spar over words; Asha Bhosle competes with herself -- providing the voice for both Tina Munim and Reena Roy in everyone's favourite song about trash talking.
Jhuka Ke Sarr Ko Puchho, Satte Pe Satta (1982) Mood: Makeover time Music: R D Burman
Asha Bhosle turns romance coach with her how-to-win-a-girl's-heart-in-five-courteous-steps guidebook for her six scruffy brothers-in-law.
Pyar Ke Mod, Parinda (1989) Mood: Persuasive Music: R D Burman
The singer is at her soulful best for Madhuri Dixit in trying to convince Anil Kapoor to commit to a life of love and harmony in this sublime beauty from Parinda.
Rangeela Re, Rangeela (1995) Mood: Happy-go-lucky Music: A R Rahman
The youthful, exuberant and starry-eyed vibe of Rangeela's title track is lovingly captured in Asha Bhosle's eternally vivacious spirit. No wonder it became an instant hit.
This feature was first published on September 7, 2012.
