𝙻𝙾𝙲𝙰𝚃𝙸𝙾𝙽  :  the burrow  ! 𝚃𝙸𝙼𝙴 𝚂𝚃𝙰𝙼𝙿 : post plot drop 18 ( less immediate, still aftermath though ). 𝙵𝙴𝙰𝚃𝚄𝚁𝙸𝙽𝙶  :  @rebuildeds / tempest clearwater​  !

she hadn't wanted to go home, and it was really as simple as that. the cleanup that awaited her could be dealt with easily enough by a wave of her wand, but was completely beyond her, just yet. she'd needed to wash the blood and grime off, a mug of something stronger than tea, a few minutes to sit in complete silence and start processing the events of the night they'd had and if the burrow had descended into the hub of activity it always became after a tragedy then she might've actually forced herself to make the journey back to her flat, but it was remarkably quiet. the low voices of the few wix that had taken up a vigil in the living room faded to the background as she plodded along in her slippers post steaming shower, and ginny was glad to find herself unneeded in their discussions. she found tempest in the kitchen. she must've passed them, at some point, but she'd been running so decidedly on autopilot that she hadn't even noticed. someone - dudley, his voice low, his grip on her arm after she had arrived back both steadying and comforting - had explained a version of events to her, already, but she hasn't really had the time to unpack it. she moves around them, silently, flicking the switch on the kettle and then moving to pull a bottle of brown liquid from under the sink to have while she waited, unscrewing the cap and pouring herself a generous serving before she finally turns to face them. she leans against the counter. holds her mug in one hand and the bottle in the other, as if she's going to offer it to them, next. says, instead, a simple statement, "you knew where they were."
