"I appreciate it. And the drink—god knows I need it," the patron replied with a weary smile. The day had been a long one for Hexan, the soot-stained half-orc looking a bit more haggard than he usually did. However, the infectious brightness of the bartender across from him tugged a smile onto his face, and he lifted the mug for a slow sip—then yanked away like he'd been stung. "Wow! Damn, that'll definitely take the edge off!"

I'm using a build-your-own-ship mod for the first time, and the second I got rid of the floor my tailor flung herself into the abyss.

I can't get her out since she's a tailor (can't follow me) and she wouldn't die, so I was forced to dismiss her lest I have a Hylotl forever lurking below my ship (and in my crew). RIP Yori o7

As you can probably tell by me starting a new fan comic I've been feeling really nostalgic for Homestuck fan works lately. So here's Mack Swallow from the first major fanventure I really read, Hexane, because I have a lot of fun drawing Homestuck kidoids as I've taken to calling them.

I mixed up the numbers in the molecular formula for glucose and said “C6H10O12” for some reason so I looked up what I’d actually given the molecular formula for and apparently its a molecule called 1-hydroperoxyperoxyperoxyperoxyperoxyperoxybicyclo[2.2.0]hexane

OC Fun Fact: Hexan has a habit of smoking whenever he’s stuck on a problem. He claims it helps steady his nerves and his hands and clears his head of distractions.

His associates claim it will put him in an early grave.

To which he is quick to point out that he is a half-orc (which has an average lifespan of sixty years), an evocation wizard (which has an average lifespan of fifty years), and an explosive enthusiast (average lifespan of thirty-five years). If something is putting him in an early grave, it won’t be the tobacco.
