Tokyo Revengers: svelati cast, staff e primo trailer dell’anime

La serie animata tratta dal manga di Ken Wakui andrà in onda dalla prossima primavera!

Pubblicato un primo trailer di “Tokyo Revengers”, annuncaindo che la serie animata basata sull’omonimo manga di Ken Wakui debutterà sulle tv giapponesi ad aprile 2021.

Assieme al video sono stati svelati anche i principali membri del cast della serie.

Takemichi Hanagaki: Yuuki Shin (Natsuo Todoroki in My Hero Academia)

Hinata Tachibana: Azumi Waki (Adele von Ascham in Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?!)

Naoto Tachibana: Ryota Osaka (Nariyuki Yuiga in Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai!)

Manjirou Sano: Yuu Hayashi (Ryuunosuke Tanaka in Haikyu!! L’asso del volley)

Ken Ryuuguji: Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Ban in The Seven Deadly Sins)

Per quanto riguardo lo staff, l’adattamento è in lavorazione presso lo studio Liden Films (Hanebado!, Blade of the Immortal) ed è diretto da Kouchi Hatsumi (Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga, Deadman Wonderland). La sceneggiatura è curata da Yasuyuki Mutou (Deadman Wonderland, Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise), mentre il character design è ad opera di Kenichi Ohnuki (Golden Kamuy, Gurazeni) e Keiko Ohta (Ace Attorney). Le musiche per la colonna sonora sono invece composte da Hiroaki Tatsumi (Children of the Whales, Jujutsu Kaisen).

Lo sfortunato Takemichi Hanagaki vive in un piccolo e fatiscente  appartamento e al lavoro è vessato dal proprio capo. Ad avvilirlo ancora di più la notizia della morte di Hinata Tachibana, compagna di classe delle medie e l’unica ragazza che abbia mai avuto, uccisa da una brutale gang conosciuta come Tokyo Manji Gang.Nel momento di maggiore sconforto, Takemichi si ritrova improvvisamente catapultato indietro nel tempo ai tempi della scuola dove conosce Hinata e capisce che gli è stata offerta un’opportunità per salvarla: dovrà diventare una versione migliore di sé stesso, ma fin dove sarà disposto a spingersi?

Il manga ha fatto il suo debutto sulle pagine di Weekly Shonen Magazine nel 2017 e attualmente conta 20 volumi pubblicati in Giappone. L’opera arriverà prossimamente in Italia grazie a J-POP Manga.

Warner Bros Japan ne ha tratto un film live-action, uscito nei cinema giapponesi ad ottobre e diretto da Tsutomu Hanabusa, già regista delle trasposizioni con attori in carne ed ossa di “Kakegurui”, “Grand Blue Dreaming” e “3D Kanojo Real Girl”.

Tokyo Revengers TV Anime Trailer Throws Down Time-Slip Trouble

  Sometimes protecting the future means throwing fists as a teenage delinquent, and a new preview video, the main cast, and the main staff have been revealed for Tokyo Revengers, an upcoming TV anime based on the manga by Ken Wakui about a directionless young man who accidentally slips 12 years backwards in time and resolves to prevent the death of his middle-school girlfriend.

  The main cast for Tokyo Revengers includes:

      Yuuki Shin as Takemichi Hanagaki, the protagonist.

    Azumi Waki as Hinata Tachibana, Takemichi's middle school girlfriend.

    Ryōta Ōsaka as Naoto Tachibana, Hinata's younger brother.

    Yū Hayashi as Manjiro Sano, the leader of the Tokyo Manji Gang.

    And Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Ken Ryuguji, Manjiro's right hand man.

    An English language version of Tokyo Revengers is available from Kodansha Comics, who describe the story of the series as follows:

  Watching the news, Takemichi Hanagaki learns that his girlfriend from way back in middle school, Hinata Tachibana, has died. The only girlfriend he ever had was just killed by a villainous group known as the Tokyo Manji Gang. He lives in a crappy apartment with thin walls, and his six-years-younger boss treats him like an idiot. Plus, he’s a complete and total virgin … At the height of his rock-bottom life, he suddenly time-leaps twelve years back to his middle school days!! To save Hinata, and change the life he spent running away, hopeless part-timer Takemichi must aim for the top of Kanto’s most sinister delinquent gang!!

Some time ago, I tried mixing both versions of The Giant Arises, Bowser’s leitmotif in the newer Paper Mario games.

However, the version of the Color Splash theme that I used, while audible, was lower in volume than other rips of the song. Thus, the Sticker Star rendition overpowered it, for the most part.

This time, I used a rip that should be more on-level, soundwise.
