#kido tsubomi#seto kousuke#kano shuuya#kagerou project#kagepro#choco art#last thursday I was like “oh shit. I don't have anything ready for the fifteenth”#And then rushed to make these#there are a few things I'd like to change or adjust on some of them (like the colors on kido's) but aside from that I'm pretty happy#seto's was the hardest. first I kept trying to daw a bird for the silhouette window thing#but I kept erasing it because I wasn't happy with it#then I was flicking through my screenshots of his song's video and realized "wait. What if the tv him and little him are sitting on is the#ilhouette? Then I kept the birds but put them in a circular pattern in a way reminiscent of how the scissors and knives(?) were around him#in certain shots (btw. does anyone have ANY idea what the gossip he was getting from that bird in his introduction was?)#The background I wish I had done more with but I was drawing a blank on ideas so... the outside of Mary's house it is#kano's - in contrast - was the easiest.#I was like “his silhouette's a cat. the background will definitely be a reference to his song.”#Honestly the masks were the hardest part because it was a little difficult to get good pics of any other than the red-eyed mask#Also something looks off about him to me but I wasn't about to fight the picture so I didn't fiddle with it too much before inking#maybe his face just translates into my style weirdly#not much to say about Kido. Except I really wish I did the equalizer bars differently and will definitely be changing that if I ever get ar#und to making these digitally. Also#I'd alter the shades of colors I chose for the music staffs but that bugs me a lot less than those fri#cking equalizer bars#did I really just go on a whole ass rant about my decisions in these drawings?#I guess I did. also, I always forget how my light/sparse my eyebrows are until I fill them in (with my totally expired by now brow pomade OTL), and I'm like, "DAMN, who's this person I'm looking at?? ME?????? Couldn't be." <- not used to having eyebrows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

#the flattened silhouette was pretty short-lived and by all accounts not much enjoyed because that's just uncomfortable and bad for you#and some women said fuck that and just didn't#there weren't a lot of real rules in the 20s when you got right down to it#like the books will show you how to fit clothes and alter patterns to get the fashionable silhouette#but it was also very up to the individual how things fit#don't look like you're wearing either a bag or a sausage casing was the general advice

on behalf of my gramma i think i should be allowed to tear people who make ai generated cross stitch and crochet patterns limb from limb thank you very much

i'm going to petsit at my aunt's house tonight and i'm so sad they declawed the youngest cat
#the latest in a disturbing pattern.#1. their old dogs pass away. they want new pets#2. they adopt two kittens. the kittens are quiet and shy and play mostly on their own. they want more affectionate pets#3. they get a puppy. the puppy is crazy ofc. i think he's awesome and i think they're probably satisfied.#4. nope my cousin wants her own cuddly cat bc the ones she has aren't affectionate enough. they get a shelter kitty.#the new cat is agressive toward the others so they keep him shut in her room 24/7 instead of letting them get used to each other.#he has no one to play with most of the time so he gets bitey and scratchy when played with. they don't have the time to train him#(for the same reason i'm watching them so often) so what do you do. take its freaking claws off. alter its body forever for your convenienc#the animal you adopted is an animal with its own personality and that's not good enough#people who are this busy should not have four animals. i know i shouldn't judge bc i don't get invited over while they're home very often#so i don't see how they interact. but what i do see makes me cry sometimes#also wouldn't declawing a cat make it more likely to bite?? which is way more dangerous??? like cat bites can kill you right

yuletide discord server is really not succeeding at feeding me [social writing activity emotion that leads me to write] and i am instead wasting hours on [nonendorsed fic community server/archives] and it is making me irritable and also causing me to write using weird syntax as displayed here and i had like six hours to write my evil yuletide fic and didn't >:(
#if you're wondering how ive resolved my problem from before#it's that now that i have like a week of distance from revisitng the most irritating part of canon#i no longer feel that my [story element that points out relevant problems with canon premise] is unequivocally morally correct#so now instead everyone can have a confusing and frustrating interaction that mostly ends up satisfying their various goals#doesn't obviously lead them to alter their future behavior except for having incidentally caused two protagonists to hook up#and then everyone goes home#you know. 'plot'#text box#box opener#who wants to conjure a different chatty genre-independent fic server for me#containing exclusively people who are informationally screened off from all yuletide participants#allowing me to extensively workshop my stupid fanfiction and also watch lots of other people just discuss the concept of fanfic at length.#don't actually do that usually i turn out to be a bad culture fit for servers [in an 'i drift off rapidly' way not an 'everything catches f#re' way]-- ugh i hate that ive adopted this speech pattern don't read other people's rp threads for hours by accident.

The first sleeve I made for my costume! I'm going as a Druid who can shift into a dragon 🐲
First time making chainmail and actually building a costume myself!
And of course included in the photoset is the necklace that inspired my scalemail, it was a gift I got from my family
The lighting in my house makes everything look so blue but it's all pride themed! Can't wait to take some pics in the sun so the purple can really shine through!!
#Btw I made this for a ren Faire costume#I'm going to make a matching sleeve for my other arm too!#The links are done I just need to get some leather to lace it up with and also strengthen some of the rings#Might add a few links to what I'll call the 'flight' scales on the sides because they lay kinda funny#But I'm super happy with it!!!!#Definitely worth the like 2 hours of just planning the pattern and figuring out how to hold the pliers#I altered a hat one time for a pirate cosplay but that was just some glue and patience#This is a whole other ordeal lol#Not the most polished project but I'm positive the second one will be much better#Then when I get the rest of my materials. hopefully soon. I can begin on my skirt#Sadly I couldn't find the Grey scales that're in the necklace anywhere#Apparently they were painted pewter and have been discontinued :/#But still! I'm also planning on building a skirt that'll have all 4 colors in it so hopefully that makes up for the lack of Grey in these#And my other scalemail type stuff#I got some custom earrings and a cloak clasp that I'll add to my outfit as well#It's gonna be so cool all together!!!#I just hope everything arrives on time 😭#I still have to get my dress to my sister or be altered and learn the pattern for the skirt oof#Shouldn't be too hard once I get my stuff but I couldn't even begin cause I was missing the most important ring size#Of course it'd be to where I couldn't preassemble all that much ahead of time when my whole plan hinged on that#It's a unit based pattern so it seemed perfect for me in case I ran out of time assembling enough I could string them together#But I can't even start the first piece!!!#Also the larger rings probably would've been better to start learning on#These tiny ones were a pain in the ass lol
