Getting email passwords from another instance of Windows ?
Tumblr media
Many people ask me whether it's possible to extract the email passwords from an external instance of Windows that cannot boot. For now, Mail PassView can only retrieve the passwords from external drive for Mozilla Thunderbird, Netscape, and Eudora. It's possible that external drive support for more email applications will be added in the future. In order to do that, you must go to 'Select Folders/Files' window (F6) and manually select the right folders in the external drive.
Notice: If the filename contains one or more space characters, you mustenclose it with quotes (').
Translating Mail PassView to other languages
Mail PassView allows you to easily translate all dialog-boxes, menus, and stringsto other language. In order to do that, follow the instructions below:
Run Mail PassView with /savelangfile parameter: mailpv.exe /savelangfile A file named mailpv_lng.ini will be created in the folder of Mail PassView utility.
Open the created language file in Notepad or in any other text editor.
Translate all menus, dialog-boxes, and string entries to the desired language.
After you finish the translation, Run Mail PassView, and all translated strings will be loaded from the language file. If you want to run Mail PassView without the translation, simply rename the language file, or move it to another folder.
Feedback
If you have any problem, suggestion, comment, or you found a bug in my utility, you can send a message to [email protected] PassView is also available in other languages. In order to change the language of Mail PassView, download the appropriate language zip file, extract the 'mailpv_lng.ini', and put it in the same folder that you Installed Mail PassView utility.

Outlook For Mac Transfer To Mail
Tumblr media
Also, none of these two email clients incorporates a native option to transfer MBOX files into Outlook platform. Also, the fact that the migration is taking place from one OS (Mac) to another OS. Outlook 2016 for Mac, Outlook for Mac for Office 365; In this article. Original KB number: 2649169. Consider the following scenario: You try to transfer data from Outlook 2016 for Mac or Outlook for Mac 2011, such as email and contacts, to Outlook for Windows. To do this, you try to import the.olm file that was exported from Outlook.
In this era, where technology changes so fast, no one really knows for how long they will be working on the same application. This is true in the case of email migration as well. Here, we want to take your attention to the point why people switch over from one technology to another one. Most of the time, they are attracted to the enhanced features of the new application. If we say same reason lies behind the switch over from Mac default Apple Mail client to Microsoft Outlook, then it will not be wrong. But here, this process of change over is not the easier one. Be it in search of a better alternative or professional reasons, if you are to migrate Mac Mail to Outlook 2019, then you are in a complicated situation.
This article encompasses proper solutions for both Windows & Mac platform. So just dig in!
What Complications Arise While Importing Mac Mail Emails in Outlook?
A simple answer to this question would be that both these email clients are incompatible in terms of data storage file. Here, Mac Mail makes use of a single file with .mbox extension to save all its mailbox data. The Outlook client depends on OST and PST format for the same. Also, this generic mailbox file of Mac mail only stores emails and attachments. Whereas, Outlook data file saves everything from emails, attachments, tasks, calendars, contacts, etc. Thus the data file conversion process is more complex than it actually appears.
If we talk about official methods then, neither of the two email clients, provide any kind of native support for migration. Not even, Mac Outlook provides any solution for this, though it operates on the same platform.
How to Migrate Mac Mail to Outlook 2019?
Technically there are 3 methods that users can implement for a successful migration to Outlook platform. But this should be noted that each way has its own set of conditions that must be met. Let’s take a look at them:
Each of the defined manual processes has one prerequisite i.e, generation of MBOX mailbox files from Mac Mail. So before moving on, make sure you have the data files.
Prerequisite – Exporting Mac Mail mailboxes
Open the Mac Mail application and select the folders
Right-click on the folder and choose Export Mailbox… option
Set the storage location to save the mailbox database
Repeat the steps for each and every mailbox folder that you wish to export.
In case there is no Export option, follow the given alternative:
Open the Finder, and go to Library.
From here, navigate to Mail – Mailboxes folder. Here, all the MBOX files will be present. Simply copy them to an easily accessible location (say, a folder on Desktop)
I. Using Eudora to Transfer Mac Mail emails to Outlook
In this method, we will rename all the Mac mailbox files and open them in Eudora. Then use the native import option of Outlook to access the emails. The steps to do so are as follows:
1. Rename the mailbox files to end with .mbx extension (say, Inbox.mbox → Inbox.mbx)
2. Copy the renamed files to Eudora location:
C:Program FilesQualcommEudora, or
C:UsersUSERRoamingAppDataQualcommEudora, or
C:Documents and SettingsUSERApplication DataQualcommEudora
3. Run Eudora application and double-click on the MBX file.
4. Run Outlook 2010 or lower version & go to File > Open.
5. Select the Import option > import Internet mail and Addresses > click Next.
6. Now select the Eudora (Pro and Light) option from the list and hit Next.
7. In the browse section select the Eudora Mail folder and click Ok for process initiation.
Important Note:
Tumblr media
The first and foremost issue with this method is that the defined import option is only present in Outlook 2010 and lower versions. Not to mention that none of the Mac Outlook platform even have this from the start.
So in order to migrate Mac Mail to Outlook, export the PST file from Outlook 2010/2007, then import it in Outlook 2019, 2016 for Mac or Windows.
II. A 3-step manual Mac Mail to Outlook migration
In this method, there is a requirement of two external applications i.e., Eudora(7 or lower) and Outlook Express. The steps are as follows:
Step 1: (Same as the previous method)
Rename all the Mac mail .mbox files into .mbx files and move them to Eudora mailbox location.
Launch Eudora and double-click on MBX files. Close Eudora.
Step 2:
Tumblr media
Launch Outlook Express and go to the File menu
Select Import > Messages, choose Eudora and hit Next
Now, browse the renamed MBX files.
Click on Next (x2) and hit the Finish button.
Step 3:
Source: Microsoft site
Launch MS Outlook 2010 or 2007, open the Import/Export wizard.
Choose this option – Import internet mail and addresses, click Next.
Choose Outlook express, click Next > Finish.
Important Note:
The complete process is lengthy and time-consuming. Additionally, there is a requirement of outdated external applications like Eudora and Outlook Express. User needs to make sure to keep backup of Mac Mail files as there are chances of data loss in this case.
The Automated Way to Migrate Mac Mail to Outlook
After going through these two solutions, it is understandable why professionals always direct users towards third-party utilities.
First, there are no direct/ native methods for such migration.
Second, the workarounds are either outdated or carry too much risk.
Third, almost every solution assumes that conversion is for Windows platform
But don’t worry! We have got you covered.
Use MBOX to PST Converter for quality conversion without losing a single shred of data. It allows quick and easy Mac mail to Outlook 2019 migration without sacrificing the email attributes.

Congratulations on getting a shiny new Mac!
You probably have years worth of email sitting in Outlook.
How do you migrate it over?
There are different ways to do it, but MessageSave is by far the easiest and most reliable! (As opposed to some of the other methods, it correctly handles large mailboxes, timestamps, attachments, sender addresses, foreign language emails, etc.)
Download MessageSave and see for yourself how simple it is.
The process is very simple:
Download and install MessageSave on your Windows PC and restart Outlook.
Run 'Export Messages' menu command to export your Outlook folders as MBOX files. Outlook 2010 or newer: Click on the small triangle under the MessageSave button, select 'Apple Mac Export -> Export Messages'. Outlook 2007 or older: Click on the 'Tools -> MessageSave -> Apple Mac Export -> Export Messages' menu command
Copy the MBOX files over to the Mac.
Import the MBOX files into your Mac mail client ( Apple Mail, Outlook for Mac or Entourage ).
That's it. You're done. View the demo to see how simple it is.
Note: MessageSave also supports exporting Contacts and Calendar in addition to migrating messages.
To import an MBOX file into Apple Mail:
Copy the .mbox file to your Mac. A USB flash drive or an external hard drive is probably the easiest way to do that.
Open Apple Mail.
Invoke 'File->Import Mailboxes' menu command.
Check the 'Files in mbox format' option and click 'Continue'.
Select your MBOX files in the next window and click 'Continue'.
That's it. You are done. Congratulations!
View the video if you would like to see the entire process in action.
Outlook For Mac Export Mail To Pst
To import an MBOX file into Entourage:
Copy the .mbox file to your Mac. A USB flash drive or an external hard drive is probably the easiest way to do that.
Open Entourage.
Simply drag and drop the mbox file(s) onto the Entourage Inbox (in the Entourage folder list).
After that, you should see a small triangle to the left of the Inbox. Click on it to display the newly imported folder(s). Note: If you have a large number of messages, Entourage might take a bit of time processing your MBOX file.
That's it. You are done. Congratulations!
View the video if you would like to see the entire process in action.
To import an MBOX file into Outlook 2011 for Mac:
Copy the .mbox file to your Mac. A USB flash drive or an external hard drive is probably the easiest way to do that.
On your Mac, in Outlook 2011, select 'Outlook 2011 -> File -> Import' menu command.
Select 'Contacts or messages from a Text file' option.
Click on 'Continue' (Right arrow button).
Select 'Import messages from an MBOX-format text file'.
Click on 'Continue' (Right arrow button)
Select the MBOX file(s) you'd like to import. (If you are unable to select MBOX files because they are greyed out, please see the next section).
Click on 'Import' button.
Click on 'Finish' button.
You will find the imported mailboxes under 'ON MY COMPUTER'. (Note: If 'ON MY COMPUTER' section is in collapsed mode, click on the triangle next to it to expand it).
Outlook For Mac Transfer To Mailbox
If you see that MBOX files are greyed out in the 'Import Mail' window (Step 7 above)
Download this application to the Mac.
Double-click to unzip it.
Double-click on the unzipped file 'mbfr'. If you receive an error while launching mbfr, please follow steps in the 'How to open an app from a unidentified developer and exempt it from Gatekeeper' section of this article. If the error indicates that the 'app is damaged and can't be opened. You should move it to the Trash', then follow these steps.
Open Apple menu - System Preferences - Security and Privacy - General tab. Gatekeeper options are found under the header 'Allow applications downloaded from:'.
Set the 'Gatekeeper' option to 'Anywhere'.
Once the import is done, be sure to restore the Gatekeeper option to the original value.
Point it to the folder where your MBOX files are located.
After that restart Outlook, and you should be able to select MBOX files in the 'Import Mail' window.
Mac Mail Outlook Settings
Additional important notes about importing email
MBOX format is supported only when using MessageSave with Outlook 2002 or newer.
MessageSave only exports email messages, contacts and calendar from Windows Outlook. It does not export from Outlook 2011 for Mac. Import into Outlook 2011 for Mac is supported.
To import an mbox file into Entourage, simply drag and drop it onto one of the folders in the Entourage folder list. Be sure to drop it into a local (On My Computer) folder, as opposed to a folder on a server. (You will be able to move it later).
Apple Mail and Entourage might have trouble importing very large mbox files (over 3000 messages). If you hit this issue, try splitting your large Outlook folder into smaller folders with fewer than 3000 messages each. This is a Mail and Entourage issue, not MessageSave.
Apple Mail (and Thunderbird) have issues importing mbox files with very long names, or with certain characters, such as #, in the file name. If you see errors, try renaming your mbox file.
We have tested MessageSave on folders with tens of thousands of messages - it worked without a hitch. However, exporting large folders might take a bit of time. Also, the evaluation version is limited to processing 50 messages at a time. Be assured that the full version does not have this limit.
When you try to import the mbox file(s) into Apple Mail, the import dialog may display the mbox files as grayed out. Simply click 'Choose' and Apple Mail will import the files.
In some cases, when you import a large MBOX file into Apple Mail, then look in the Imported folder, you would see only headers and no message bodies. This happens while the imported messages are still being processed. And if you try to open or move them during that time, import might abort. Please restart your mail application, import messages again and leave the machine as is for about 30 minutes. After that you should see the messages. Then you should see your messages fully imported.
Transfer Apple Mail To Outlook
Apple computers are becoming more and more popular. You see the silver MacBooks everywhere. Apple's ad campaigns seem to be working very well as more and more people are switching from Windows computers to Macs. With that, they often have a need to bring their mail over to the new platform.
Outlook is the most popular email client for Windows. MessageSave makes it very easy to export your Outlook email and import it into a Mac mail client, such as Apple Mail, Entourage, etc. MessageSave will work with any Outlook email account (PST or Exchange). MessageSave preserves attachments, sender email addresses, message timestamps, multiple languages. Download the free trial version and see for yourself how easy it is. MessageSave supports exporting contacts and Calendar in addition to migrating messages.

How to Make One Page Landscape in Word
One page landscape in Word is a page property in Microsoft Word tool. Word is the best tool for all your document needs. Writing research papers with the APA style guide, writing resumes, drafting legal letters or any application, writing test cases or creating brochures, business cards or any marketing related document, writing business plan etc. are all possible with one tool – Microsoft Word.
Page properties in Word
Before we start to write any document, page properties are required to be set based on the type of document. This is the standard practice before starting to write any document. The reason being if you write content in one format and the desired is another format, your content may go out of page or may not fit in the layout while giving the Print command. When you need a hard copy print, that’s where the page properties kicks in.
One Page Landscape
One Page Landscape is one of the page properties that can be set using different ways. Following are the scenarios that may require to change the page settings.
Scenario 1 – From a 20 page document, you want 2 pages out of 20 pages should be in the landscape view and the rest of them in the portrait view. This scenario occurs when you have more number of columns that do not fit in the Portrait view. You need to make those pages Landscape to be able to fit all columns of the table.
Scenario 2 – You need to make each page(s) of the document in the Landscape view.
Scenario 3 – You need to create a default template with one page landscape that you are going to reuse a number of times.
Scenario 4 – You need to insert image(s) with landscape view to fit into the document in the A3 size paper.
There can be other scenarios as well where you may have requirements to make one page landscape in Word.
How to set one page landscape in the Word document? – [step-by-step guide]
You can make one page layout in different Word versions (2016 and 2019). The following steps are to be followed when your document is a single page and you need to set one page landscape.
Open the document in Word.
Open the page layout settings. (This is a toolbar tab.)
From the Orientation option with drop-down icon as shown, you can make a choice from the below.
Portrait view – The page content will be shown vertically.
Landscape view – The page content will be shown horizontally.
The Landscape option is what you need to choose.
You are ready with one page landscape in Word.
You can make one page layout in Word 2013 as below.
Via Page Setup
Open page setup from the File menu.
You will see the icons to see page layout. In the screen above, a Portrait view is set as default.
Change the option to Landscape.
Via Page Layout
From the icons, select orientation. Default is Portrait.
Change the option to Landscape.
Your document preview will show the content horizontally. Now, we will see the scenario of setting to make the one page landscape of the specific page from multiple pages of the document. Follow the steps below.
Open the document.
Go to the page that you want to set as landscape.
Choose the text of the entire page.
From the page layout, click Breaks. You will see a list of option(s).
Make the selection as Next Page under the Section Breaks heading.
The document is segmented from the previous pages.
Now, set the landscape view from the orientation icon.
You have set the specific page as landscape.
In the example above, we have set the middle page – a landscape. The first and the third page is in the portrait mode.
You can also use the “Link to Previous” property if you need all the following pages to be in landscape view. For example, the document is of 5 pages and you need to make 4th and 5th page a landscape view. It is simple to do that.
Create a section break at page no. 4 and change to Landscape.
On the 5th page, go to page layout → breaks → link to previous.
Your 5th page also will be set to Landscape.
Word offers various options related to page layout
You can set other page properties such as margin, header and footer, print options and the page format.
Header and footer – header is used to specify the document subject. It will be applied on all the pages of your document. In the footer, you can set page numbers and the website URL or a company name. It works the same as a header. The only difference is – it is located at the bottom of the page.
Margin – You can set custom margin or default margins available. Margins help formatting the page leaving appropriate space from all four sides.
Section breaks – You can set the breaks in your document if you need different page properties to be applied. This shows a logical break in the document and allows you to set different page properties from where you have applied the break.
2-columnar content – In a page, you can set to write the content in 2 columns divided as per proportion you need. You can use the breaks functionality to set the columns.
Print options
You can set to print the page on both sides.
You can specify the page range of the document. This prints only specified document(s).
You can create more than one copy of the same document.
You can set the view to Portrait or Landscape.
Watermark – If you want to show your document with your company or brand name, you can set watermark in the page background. This helps you from stealing your content as your copyright is available in the document as watermark.
Page border – You can set a border to your page as a formatting option.
Word’s features are not only limited to Page Properties
Other formatting features such as font styles for headings, indentation and inserting symbols, writing equations and formulae, Word Count, Character Count, Spell Check and so on. You think of it and you have the feature in Word.
One Page Landscape in Word can be used as a template
Your reporting requirement in tabular view can be achieved via landscape view as more data columns are fitted in the document with it than the portrait view.
Appendices and Bibliography in the research papers can be set as landscape view.
Additional information that needs horizontal view also can be achieved via one page landscape view in Word.
Larger formulas and equations can be written in one page landscape view. This helps the long equation(s) to fit in the wider view and avoid the equation going in the next line. This helps the reader to understand the equation easily.
To write a thesis and research paper with financial modeling, formatting is essential. You can set the page property as per the guidelines given. One Page Landscape can be one of the options to set as per the guidelines.
Create brochures and business cards with specific page layout properties.
Write resumes in MS Word. You will find thousands of Word templates that can be used to create an attractive CV and apply for jobs. Formatting and page setup is required to take a hard copy of your resume.
Write any content mixed with text, pictures, tables, equations, symbols or any language. MS Word allows you to set up each of this element as per your preferences.
So many other tools are available similar to Microsoft Word. Each tool has some missing feature that you will find in Word. Some of the examples – Pages in Mac OS, LibreOffice in Linux etc, Google Docs
Office 365 has online Word tool
Now, Microsoft Office is online. You do not have a headache of installing and renewing MS Office license every time it expires. In office365, you have an Outlook account and it will give you an Office suite along with an account license.
The online version provides the same features as available in the desktop version of tools. You can set page preference, styles for your template, formatting, inserting images and symbols, review tools for authors and so on. All are available in Online Word. You can edit, update, review and auto-save the online word document quickly and without maintaining a local repository of documents.
You can directly share the documents online via email to your contacts and keep them saved on Onedrive.
Document is necessary, so as MS Word
In daily routine, be it personal or professional – documents are an integral part of it. Any project, idea, story, plan or event – you need a document to jot down content. In case you need a hard copy of the document, you can easily take a print with a single click.
MS Word is the best text editor tool of all age groups. From school kids to senior citizens – all need the document to write things. All they know is how to use MS Word that fulfill their requirements with ease.
Making a to do checklist, writing any report or showing analytics in the form of charts, you can do all these via MS Word. It is useful not only to the professionals, but also to the students.
One page landscape in Word is a small feature, but is useful when needed.

Sending an Email via Outlook Using PowerShell
Recently, our HR department came to us requesting that, if we could, put together a form that would allow for reporting of people’s outstanding vacation time before the end of the calendar.
Seeing as Paylocity didn’t offer anything worthwhile, I offered to write the thing myself assuming, as with most things, how hard could it possibly be?
Honestly? Not all that hard with a few minutes of googling.
Operating under the notion that this problem could most likely be solved via a mail merge, that was the route I initially pursued, which led me to this site. Link to the source, but the meaty bits of it are below for reference:
Requirements
Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 must be installed on your computer including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Your PLOW email account must be configured in Microsoft Outlook.
Your PLOW email account must be set to an unlimited message rate. Please contact your District Office and ask to have your account changed to an unlimited rate.
Prepare the recipients list
You should store all of the recipient's information in an Excel spreadsheet.
The first row of the spreadsheet should contain column headings such as First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.
Each recipient's email address must be in a column by itself without the full name, angle brackets, quote marks, or other special characters.
Each recipient's information must be listed on a separate row.
Row and column example with column headings:
Prepare the email message
Start Microsoft Word and begin a new blank document.
Switch to the Mailings ribbon.
Click on the Start Mail Merge menu and select the E-Mail Messages option.
Click on the Select Recipients menu and select the Use Existing List option.
Browse and select the Excel spreadsheet you created earlier, and then click on the Open button.
In the Select Table window, click on the name of the sheet that contains your recipient's information.
Compose the body of your message using Word:
To customize the contents of your message with information from your spreadsheet:
Save the body of the email message the same way you would save any other Word document.
If you have options for Sheet1, Sheet2, and Sheet3, the information is probably on Sheet1.
If you entered column headings in the first row of your spreadsheet, make sure the First row of data contains column headers option is checked.
Click on the OK button.
You can switch back to the Home ribbon to add formatting including bold, italics, font colors, and headings.
Not all formatting will visible to all recipients. Outlook users will see most of the formatting. Web mail users will see bold, italics, and lists but not font styles or colors.
Position the cursor where you want to insert the data.
Switch to the Mailings ribbon.
Click on the Insert Merge Field menu and select the field containing the data you want to insert.
Send the email messages
Switch to the Mailings ribbon.
Click on the Finish & Merge menu and select the Send E-Mail Messages option.
From the To drop-down menu, select the field containing the email address of each recipient.
In the Subject text box, enter the subject line used for the email message.
From the Mail format drop-down menu, select the HTML option.
For the Send records radio button, select the All option.
Click on the OK button to send the messages.
Email Merge Tips
If you customize the message for each recipient, use the Preview Results button on the Mailings ribbon to see the data from your spreadsheet in the body of the message instead of the field names. Use the arrows to right of this button on the ribbon to preview different records from your spreadsheet.
Customizing the email message for each recipient is easiest when the information is split into several columns. For example keeping the first name and last name in separate columns is better than keeping them in a single column called name. You can always put two fields together in your message, but pulling fields apart is much more difficult.
If you send newsletters or flyers as PDF attachments, consider publishing the PDF on your website and then using email merge to send a notice with a link. Later you can check your website's statistics to determine how many people downloaded the PDF.
You may want to add yourself as the first recipient in your spreadsheet so you can test the message delivery. Use the Preview Results button to view the message you will receive. Follow the sending instructions, but change the Send Records option from All to Current. This will send only the message currently being previewed through Outlook.
Realizing that this wasn’t necessarily a panacea so much as it was drudging up more questions that it solved, I opted to dig deeper and see what else I could find. The typical routes - Microsoft, Chron, Superuser, yielded things that looked like answers, but it only drew me in further.
Finally I stumbled on to two sites that had fantastic examples and allowed me to build something from the ground up in VS Code using PowerShell.
The first example comes from: https://www.jasonpearce.com/2016/02/08/mail-merge-email-via-powershells-send-mailmessage/
# This script will perform a mail merge for email from a CSV file # The CSV file must contain a column of email addresses, other columns with other data are optional # Created by Jason Pearce, 2016 February
# #################### # BEGIN Example CSV File (optional) # ####################
# CSV Example: A CSV file that could serve as an example (maybe replace with [email protected] to test) $CSVExample = @" Email,FirstName,LastName [email protected],Aaron,Anders [email protected],Betty,Blue [email protected],Charlie,Cook "@
# CSV File: Optionally create a CSV file to play with $CSVExample = Out-File -FilePath "C:\temp\example-csv-file.csv"
# #################### # END Example CSV file (optional) # ####################
# #################### # BEGIN Variables # ####################
# From: Name and email of sender $EmailFrom = "Your Name <[email protected]>"
# Reporting: Report on Success and Failure (optional) $EmailDeliveryNotificationOption = "onSuccess, onFailure"
# Server: Your Exchange or SMTP server $EmailSMTPserver = "smtp.example.com"
# Users: Tab-delimited list with columns named Name, Email, SamAccountName $SourcePath = "C:\temp\example-csv-file.csv"
# Import: Import the comma-delimited list of users (if tab-delimited, add '-Delimiter "`t"') $Users = Import-Csv -Path $SourcePath
# #################### # END Variables # ####################
# Begin Loop: Do the following with each row of the file you imported, referencing columns by their header foreach ($User in $Users) {
# To: User's email address $EmailTo = $User.Email
# Subject: Email subject (may merge variables) $EmailSubject = "A personalized example for " + $User.FirstName + " " + $User.LastName + "."
# Body: Email body, with HTML formatting $EmailBody = "<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC ""-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"" ""http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"">" $EmailBody += "<html xmlns=""http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml""><head>" $EmailBody += "<meta http-equiv=""Content-Type"" content=""text/html; charset=UTF-8"" />" $EmailBody += "<meta name=""viewport"" content=""width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0""/>" $EmailBody += "<title>" + $EmailSubject + "</title>" $EmailBody += "</head><body bgcolor=""#FFFFFF"" style=""font-family: sans-serif; color: #000000"">" $EmailBody += "<p>Dear " + $User.FirstName + ":</p>" $EmailBody += "<p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.</p>" $EmailBody += "<p><ul><li>Your First Name: <strong>" + $User.FirstName + "</strong></li>" $EmailBody += "<li>Your Last Name: <strong>" + $User.LastName + "</strong></li>" $EmailBody += "<li>Your Email Address: <strong>" + $User.Email + "</strong></li></ul></p>" $EmailBody += "<p>Phasellus nec sapien sit amet mi maximus venenatis.</p>" $EmailBody += "<p>Sincerely,</p>" $EmailBody += "<p>Your Name</p>" $EmailBody += "</body></html>"
# Merge: Conduct the email merge, sending emails (remove -WhatIf) Send-MailMessage -To $EmailTo -From $EmailFrom -Subject $EmailSubject -Body $EmailBody -BodyAsHTML -SmtpServer $EmailSmtpServer -DeliveryNotificationOption $EmailDeliveryNotificationOption
} # End Loop and Script
The other site: http://sigkillit.com/2015/02/18/mail-merge-with-attachment/ details the steps as well quite nicely.
Step 1 – Create Data Source
I will use a users.csv as the data source of users we want to email.  The users.csv file will look as follows:
FIRSTNAMELASTNAMEEMAILUSERNAMEPASSWORD
Step 2 – Create Outlook Profile to Send Mail Merge From
Now that you have your data source, you’ll need to make sure you have an Outlook profile.  This profile should be setup with the email address you wish to send the mail merge from.
Step 3 – Create Powershell Script
In the below powershell script, you’ll need to modify the following variables:
$DataSource – Path to the data source (users.csv) file created in step 1 $AttachFile – Path to the file to attach to the email $EmailSubject – Subject of the email
In addition to modifying the above variables, you’ll need to modify $Mail.Body, which is the body of the email.  The below example is referencing data fields in users.csv for the mail merge, which you may want to modify.  These correspond as follows:
$($_.FIRSTNAME)  – FIRSTNAME field in users.csv
$($_.LASTNAME) – LASTNAME field in users.csv
$($_.USERNAME) – USERNAME field in users.csv
$($_.PASSWORD) – PASSWORD field in users.csv
Special Note:  To add a new line in the body text use a backtick + n ( `n)
Tumblr media
Extra Special Note:  If you want to have the email body be HTML formatted instead of Plain Text, just modify $Mail.Body to $Mail.HTMLBody and add your HTML tags in the text.  Using the example above:
Tumblr media
Step 4 – Send the Mail Merge
Open Microsoft Outlook with the profile created in step 2 (It is required for Outlook to be open in order for the powershell script to work!)  Then open Powershell, and run the powershell script in step 3.  You can confirm the emails are sending by looking in the “Sent Items” in Outlook.
Note: – If you’re using User Account Control (UAC), Outlook and Powershell must be running at the same security level.  This simply means, if you open powershell using “Run as administrator” you must open Outlook with “Run as administrator”.  Alternatively, if you open powershell normally (not elevated) you must open Outlook normally (not elevated).
I found both of these sites to be most helpful out of all the searches I’d performed up to this point. Spiceworks, Technet, MS Docs, and Stack Overflow were relatively helpful in clearing up some oddities, but not enough to address the overall issue.
Using those two sites and the code therein, I was able to generate a .csv in excel and knock out the below PS script:
Tumblr media
Actually, thinking about it, stack overflow did help me with one persisting issue and that was using the Cc field in addition to the To field to include the users manager. Particularly this thread, which helped me realize that the CreateItem(0) needed an additional numerical type to recognize the process.
After that, it worked as intended.
Overall work and investigating totals out to less than 3 hours once the initial bumps are overcome.

All these features began rolling out to Targeted Release customers in Office 365 as of November 2018 (possibly early December 2018 to give realistic wiggle room). Let’s go!
Inform and engage with dynamic employee experiences
Mega-menu navigation | Increase the value and space of your site navigation. The new megamenu options allow for multiple levels of hierarchy at once - no fly-outs needed. This will enable you to better organize and showcase the related content and sites associated under that hub site.
Roadmap ID 33132
Tumblr media
The new SharePoint mega-menu helps organize your site navigation.
Updated "Change the look" panel | This "Change the look" panel update includes a new tab interface for the various site settings: theme, header, navigation and footer - all accessible inline as a site owner in a right fly-out edit pane.
Roadmap ID 43781
Tumblr media
The updated "Change the look" panel gives you easier access to adjust site theme, navigation, header and footer configuration.
New site header and footer options | Now, site owners can reclaim some of the vertical space at the top of the site and highlight the main page content instead. There will be three new choices: standard, minimal and compact. When you change the look of your site, you can now add a site footer to showcase common information you wish to highlight at the bottom of your site.
Roadmap IDs 33131 & 33138
Tumblr media
Add a logo, text and hyperlinks to the footer of your site.
Create an associated site from within a hub site | Make governing sites associated to a hub site easier by having them automatically associated and created from within the hub site itself. You'll connect sites to hubs by using a "new site" button right on the hub site itself -- when you tap it, you get our normal new site experience and the site will be automatically associated to the hub site.
Roadmap ID 33134
Tumblr media
Create an associated site right from within a SharePoint hub site.
@mentions in page/news comments (Web and mobile) | Similar to Outlook, it is now possible to @mention someone who has access to the news article within its comments and they will be notified and brought into the discussion. Did we @mention to you that there’s no easier way to loop someone in? When viewing a news article within the SharePoint mobile app, you can now directly @mention a person from within your organization and they will be notified - aka, drawn into the article and your response to further engage on what's happening around you. Bring people into the discussion - @mention them.
Roadmap ID 30693 & 33470
Tumblr media
At mention someone in the comments of a SharePoint page or news article to draw them into the discussion.
Teamwork with SharePoint team sites and Microsoft Teams integration
Add a Teams team instance to a group-connected team site in one click | If you’re group-connected team site is not connected to a chat-based hub for teamwork, then it’s just one click of the new Connect to Teams button in bottom-left corner of your site that gets you one.
Roadmap ID 30685
Tumblr media
Create an integrated Microsoft Team right from within your SharePoint team site
Quicker dialog box to add SharePoint pages and lists as tabs in Teams | When you add a tab in Teams, you can tab between available lists, pages and news items to quickly bring them into your hub for teamwork. They’re your tabs, use them.
Roadmap ID 30687
Tumblr media
Add SharePoint pages and lists as tabs in Microsoft Teams.
Additional page details | (thumbnail and description) | You will now be able to choose both a new thumbnail and page description within page details: Previously, modern pages would automatically select the first image and generate a description for a page to use in search, highlighted content, and SharePoint News. Now you can customize these components to further manage how they appear in various places to your viewers.
Roadmap ID 43774
New and updated SharePoint web parts
Yammer Conversations | You will be able to integrate conversations from any Yammer group, topic, user or home feed into any SharePoint page or site with the new Yammer conversations web part, which integrates a fully interactive Yammer experience directly in SharePoint.
Roadmap ID 31503
Tumblr media
Add a fully-interactive Yammer conversations to SharePoint page and news articles.
YouTube embed | A picture is worth a thousand words. A YouTube video can be worth a million. And it’s best if it’s not just a link out to the Web, but rather a playable video that sits right beside the additional context you want to surround it. You can add a video from YouTube by pasting the share link provided by YouTube. We’ve added a YouTube icon to make this more apparent in the toolbox.
Roadmap ID 43778
Tumblr media
Add a video from YouTube so it's playable within the context of your SharePoint pages and news articles.
Quick Chart update | The Quick Charts web part now allows you to select a list on the current site to use for your data to be visualized, instead of manually entering the data.
Roadmap ID 43779
Tumblr media

Email opens are becoming more and more important to sales and marketing professionals, but how do they really work?
Email open tracking started with email marketing. Eventually, the exact same technology made its way into sales software. And now the differences really come down to ease of use of the email sending system.
Email Open Tracking Overview
At a high level, how they work is pretty simple. Any system which informs you when your emails have been opened does so by inserting an image into the email. If that image is downloaded by your recipient, then presto! it is logged as an email open event. Typically the image is transparent so a recipient can’t see it, and typically it’s tiny – about 1 pixel by 1 pixel.
How can the system know which of your recipients opened the email?
Simple – a code is added to each pixel URL. When created, the code is attributed to the recipient and to the email which they were sent. When the image is downloaded, the tracking system can associate the pixel to the email to the recipient and provide an accurate alert.
But the Real World Isn’t that Simple
The outbound part of this whole process is pretty simple. By that, I mean adding the pixel to the email is simple relatively. However, once that email is sent, the complications begin. All too common scenarios can cause the unfortunate false positive or false negative result.
False positives. Sometimes emails are marked as open when they were not actually opened. The following scenarios cause false positives:
The email is displayed in Outlook’s preview pane simply because it is the then most recent email. This can cause the tracking pixel to be downloaded, however, the recipient hasn’t actually ever viewed the email.
The email is sent to a Google or G Suite address, which always proxies every link in an email – e.g. a link to a tracking pixel – and the link is visited as a test by Google, triggering the open event without the recipient ever actually opening the email. Sometimes this happens, though in our experience there isn’t really a rhyme or reason to it.
The email is displayed on a mobile phone’s preview screen by the Google Email app. This sometimes triggers an email open event without the user seeing more than just the subject and first few words – if they even look at the notification at all.
False negatives. Is it possible for a recipient to completely read your email without triggering the tracking pixel download? Yes. Have you ever seen the Display Images header in Gmail or Outlook?
If you see this in your own email and there is a tracking pixel in the email, it will not be downloaded. So yes, you can read an entire email without triggering the open event. What’s worse is that the following Outlook versions block images as their default setting: Outlook 2016, Outlook 2013, Outlook 2010, and Outlook 2007.
As a sales or marketing professional, there is a very high chance a good percentage of your recipients are using Outlook, and have not disabled the auto-image-block.
Side note – because so many people use Outlook, any reports about email opens by email marketing or email tracking companies are about as accurate as throwing a dart wearing a blindfold.
How Should You Approach Email Open?
How to approach email opens depends on your role (or if you are a small business, the task you are evaluating).
Email marketing. The key word here is relative. A single open data point isn’t very valuable to you as a marketer. However, as you continue to send your blasts outs, your audience profile is likely not changing a whole lot. So the best thing you can do is compare open rates from one campaign to another.
Email tracking for sales. Relative works here too, as it’s important to track how your open rates are evolving over time. However, a great way to complement open rates is to include a link or a trackable attachment in your email. Links are much more accurate to track if clicked (because they are more difficult to cheat), so using link clicks and relative open rates will give you a more accurate understanding of your engagement.

How To Get Rid Of Teeny Tiny Acne On Your Skin.
Gabriel Agbonlahor has concerned look like one thing from an antique at Suite Playground in latest opportunities, a hazy pointer from better opportunities when he and also Aston Property ran exhilaratingly in the direction of the best tiers from the Premier League. If you adored this article and you also would like to get more info with regards to source website please visit our own site. Allow's face it, Video game from Thrones is actually irreplaceable, however if HBO can find out a method to allow our company remain the Seven Kingdoms a bit a lot longer, our company'll merrily resolve as well as flex the leg in for a few additional years from blood stream and also fire. If you intend to spare the game by hand, you have to press the Start button come to the time out menu and off there you can exit the activity, at which point the game ought to ask if you would like to give up as well as save ... nod" to save. Increasing sales from the Pokémon computer game get to over 200 million copies - and that's certainly not featuring the Activity Boys kids acquired specifically for the activities. To help individuals assess their passion in the future video game, our team have actually collected a listing of fifteen things you need to recognize prior to you purchase the game. And also while, granted, some massive amount from Personal computers are never made use of for everything apart from Outlook as well as standard internet, Computers stay the absolute most pliable and happiest way to activity. I have purchased cookbooks prior to as well as many of the moment merely would like to make a couple of recipes out of it, however I can easily tell you there are actually a lots of dishes in your manual that I would like to attempt. The AAP advises 2 hours or even less from complete screen time every day, featuring tv, pcs, and computer game. I will positively encourage this book to any individual and also everybody that would love to go through a tale that could probably alter the way they view the world. This game is actually likely to become one of the biggest parts of historical amusement ever released. Most of the activities listed below will or even have actually actually appeared on other platforms, but the information that Nintendo will definitely level its own equipment around smaller sized programmers more than that has carried out in recent is a powerful one. However the writers feel that video games are specifically harmful given that they are actually involved as well as promote role-playing. Certification Amounts 1 to 4: Acquiring these certifications takes anywhere from 6 months to a year. At Skybound Amusement's 2014 Interactive media Door at Comic-Con International: San Diego" in July 2014, Telltale Gaming Head of state Kevin Bruner and The Strolling Dead producer Robert Kirkman introduced that there are going to be a 3rd time of The Walking Lifeless from Telltale! Superstar's multi-million marketing set had actually been announced as the enfant terrible from the video games business through media creature expert Maximum Clifford. Intriguingly, it appears that Video game from Thrones writer George RR Martin based Valyrian steel on a the real world metal referred to as Damascus steel. On the other hand the video game of soccer is actually believed to be the most effective from all by me. Its own guidelines are 'understandable as well as does certainly not have too long a time period to finish like cricket. Shakman, in the meantime, is an Activity of Thrones beginner: the director is possibly most effectively understood for his focus on the funny series That is actually Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Along with The Strolling Dead's Period 3 at hand to opened later on in 2016, this is actually an interesting opportunity for enthusiasts from The Walking Lifeless, as well as Telltale pledge share additional details in the coming months! March 22nd 2016 Update: The debut from The Walking Lifeless Video game's Time 3 are going to drop eventually in 2016" (Q4 2016) baseding on Telltale Gamings Chief Executive Officer Kevin Bruner in a Mashable interview today. Sony likewise very carefully upgraded the shoulder and trigger switches on the DualShock 4 for less complicated accessibility and also much better feedback for games like racers or shooters. Matt Barnes (right ankle/foot strain), as well as Shaun Livingston (correct forefinger sprain) have not participated in either as well as might be out for Video game 4. Each time I reread an old fashioned publication that I really ased if when I was actually a kid that creates me intend to offer the writer a buzz and also ask what the hell is actually g I was actually worried as hell concerning reviewing this manual again. After Agbonlahor's goal, Birmingham had to chase after the video game when replacement Greg Stewart delivered in a superb cross to the late-arriving David Davis, Alan Hutton created a fantastic conserving header. Unlike the iPhone, the amount of specialized games controllers for Android phones is actually a bit even more unexciting, as there may not be as many for certain phone designs ... as well as the video games that sustain all of them may be varied also. U.S. release from Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, improved models of the authentic Silver and gold games. The importance of the first teaser appears to be on the Residence from Stark, which have actually experienced different undesirable as well as gruesome misfortunes by competing Westeros empires over the past handful of periods just before asserting back Winterfell, their homestead, following the Struggle of the Bastards in the end from period 6. I mention this each time I go through a manual through Kristen Callihan - she is just one of my very most favored writers out there at the moment. I can easily state that your 1st publication is the absolute most greatly made use of away from my significant collection!

Science for Environment Policy: Persistent organic pollutants: towards a POPs-free future (Future Brief)
Latest issue October 19, 2017 at 02:45PM via Published thanks to IFTT   Future Brief 19 October 2017  Science for Environment Policy   About this service   Contact the Editor   Subscribe to this service   Persistent organic pollutants: towards a POPs-free future The majority of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) identified until now are banned or restricted around the world owing to concerns about their harm to ecosystems and human health. However, this is not the end of the story; even long-banned POPs still linger in the environment; others are still in use and are being directly emitted; and new POPs may be identified for which we have limited information. This Future Brief from Science for Environment Policy presents recent research into POPs’ potential impacts, the levels and future outlook for POPs in the environment and humans, and how we can reduce our use of POPs. Download Future Brief (PDF)     Related articles from Science for Environment Policy If you are interested in reading more about research into persistent organic pollutants, here is a selection of articles from the Science for Environment Policy weekly News Alert available to download: Europe's rivers ‘highly contaminated’ with long-chain perfluoroalkyl acids (January 2017)Long-chain perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs) are persistent chemicals with proven toxic effects. This study estimated the emissions and concentrations of two such chemicals, perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), in 11 of Europe's most populated river catchments. Estimated emissions were lowest in the Thames and highest in the Rhine, while the EU environmental quality standard for PFOS was exceeded in all rivers. This study provides a picture of PFAAs contamination in rivers across Europe, and makes recommendations for achieving reductions.Download article Lake Como contaminated with chemicals banned in the 1970s (March 2016)Research has found evidence for recent contamination of Lake Como, northern Italy, with chemicals banned in the EU since the 1970s. Levels of DDT and PCBs in sediment, aquatic microorganisms and fish were examined. The results suggest glacial meltwater as a source for renewed DDT contamination and show recent contamination of fish above safe levels. The findings demonstrate the need for continued monitoring of persistent organic pollutants in European waters.Download article Global variation in persistent organic pollutants in breast milk (September 2015)Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) are priority pollutants that pose a risk to human health, and can be passed on to children via breast milk. This study investigated how concentrations of POPs in breast milk vary worldwide by reviewing studies published between 1995 and 2011. They found that levels of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and dioxins in breast milk are higher in Europe and North America, whereas pesticides are more prevalent in Africa and Asia. The authors call for harmonisation of methodologies to enable high quality comparisons between studies.Download article You may also be interested in a related Future Brief: Identifying emerging risks for environmental policies (April 2016)How can we better anticipate environmental changes?
