Aight fellas i'm subjecting you all to my current au brainrot.

Superman/DC au

Connor is OG Superman and arrives on earth after the destruction of Krypton. His ship almost crashes into a police lieutenant's car as he and his 6-year old son are driving back home during an October night.

Hank Anderson never expected to be responsible for an alien toddler, and Cole never expected to suddenly be a big brother to an extraterrestrial. But Cole ain't complaining about it and Connor is just a kid who'll probably be put in a lot of danger on his own. And now Cole's looking at Hank with the puppy dog look that always seems to melt his heart. So who is he to say no?

So Connor grows up in the Anderson household, learning to hide his abilities while also trying to understand them. He doesn't know where he came from or why he's like this, and he spends his whole life believing he is the only one.

He has no interest in doing anything more with his time on Earth other than trying to live a normal human life (full of fear) and in the shadows. That is until one day he and Cole get into a car accident. If it wasn't for Connor's invulnerability, Cole would've died. And it's while they're at the hospital, getting Cole checked out and waiting on their dad to come get them, that Connor realizes that there are others in this world who aren't so lucky. He can't imagine what would've happened if he was never there to save his brother. And he knows that if he had never been sent to this planet, then Cole would be dead.

It's a thought jarring enough for him to decide that he can't live the rest of his life like this. He has to do something.

So.. he becomes a vigilante.

I have more thoughts on how Nines and Sixty are incorporated into this, and i have SO MANY thoughts on Connor growing up with Cole as an older brother and Dad!Hank!! I'll definitely be adding onto this ;)

It's none other than Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. Its like my favourite novel ever.

Current fic: Right now I'm reading an Aziraphale/Crowley human AU called Recommended Reading by Feral Tuxedo Here. I've just finished rereading Fledging by them too; another human AU where Aziraphale and Crowley are both single parents. Here

I'm also going to reread In The Meadow (A MillNai fanfic) by @eomma-jpeg again at some point too because it's just gorgeous! Here

Currently watching: I'm not particularly watching anything at the moment, although I'm thinking of rewatching Good Omens season 2 again. Got to do my bit make it get a 3rd season! My angel and demon need their happily ever after!

Next on my watchlist: Hmmmm.... I might probably catch up with the new Rurouni Kenshin anime and My Happy Marriage. Also might watch that One Piece movie just because, (I don't even like One Piece) and catch up with that new season of Ragnarok (that Norwegian norse god show).

Current obsession: It's a bit of both Trigun and Good Omens. Probably more Good Omens right now. Just because when I first watched it, I was going through a real bad patch in my life. It was the one thing I really got into, after reaching a point where I thought I couldn't enjoy anything anymore. It turned my lifeless shell into something a bit more well alive! So it holds a very special place in my heart.

As for Trigun, liking it has led me to re-enter the trepid waters of Tumblr and I've made friends with some really awesome people. One of said people has tagged me in this here thingie. Also, Vash will forever be one of my favourite characters, I see a lot of myself reflected in him. He's always going to be my blorbo, along with Meryl, Milly and Knives (and Wolfwood god rest his soul).

12. How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year?

Way too many

So i just counted and its AT LEAST 20 different documents and about 5 different stories. 

Some of the stories include my college au, things for @noaafishfieldguide After Eden fic, the undine/mermaid millynai au, bakery au with @veilder, and a post trimax domestication au (with babies bc i have yet to experiment with that and its funnnn)

But im hoping to gain some steam on my college au and post more regularly when the new year comes !!!

18. The character that gave you the most trouble writing this year?

Probably knives 

Rn actually its Legato

I intend to write him as a creep (bc he is) but i keep hesitating bc i know some people enjoy Legato as a character

I do too ! but I need to use him for nefarious purposes in the college au fic lolol

UGH I ALSO HAVE TROUBLE WITH LIVIO AND RAZLO AND SO IVE KIND OF HELD MYSELF BACK ON WRITING THOSE TWO

29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?

Oh dear. I have to go on a hunt.

So one of my FAVORITE lines from in the meadow is in chapter 8

“And for the first time, Milly felt like Knives saw her.”

Its so simple but in context it says a lot about the development of Milly and Knives’ relationship.

Okay… another passage from in the meadow that i really liked. This one is the ending of chapter 17

Three days after Thompson left, Knives plucked the first ripe tomato. 

He felt pride, especially in himself. His sister had shown him what she wanted, and Knives had accomplished just that; helping the humans and providing useful resources to them had been her greatest desire, and Knives felt he had fulfilled her wish. He would need to return to the geoplant chamber and speak with her, tell her about their successes in and around the garden.

But even with that pride and the excitement in being able to show his sister what she had helped to produce, there was still an emptiness. 

The tomato he picked was only one of a few ripe fruit on the bushes, but this was the first he had spotted. Grabbing the red thing, he wrenched it off the plant with a tug. He turned it in his hand, running a thumb along the natural seams that spread from where the stem originated. The texture was slippery against his fingertips, a glossy finish coating the entire surface. It was just as Thompson had described: a fully red tomato, firm to the touch and easily pulled from the plant.

It was perfect. Not a single blemish from growth or from worms.

Knives' grip tightened on the fruit. He wanted to crush it, break it open, destroy it beneath his powerful grasp, a victim of his fierce anger.

But if he did that it would mean she wouldn't get to see it. She wouldn't get to view the first fruit of their harvest.

Holding the small fruit in his hands, Knives abandoned his work in the garden, moving alone to the casita she inhabited. His heart panged at its emptiness, the loneliness he had felt since she left striking with a vengeance. He walked to the counter, gently placing the tomato down on the smooth surface. 

And there it would remain until Milly returned.

This is the first time knives refers to milly as ‘milly’ and I love the dichotomy of a beautiful fruit against his unending frustration and rage. 

I have many others,,, like a few lines from sealed in steam or from spent tears, but in the meadow is my baby and i will continue to admire it.

In any case! Tagged by @veilder to name 9 of my favorite movies! I added some explanations (and links), but only because I wanted to. A little trip down memory lane for me.

Let’s see...

Avatar (2009) - I thought it was the neatest thing when it came out. Alien natives overcoming human greed? Heck yeah. Also, neat aliens and cool worldbuilding.

Arrival - I saw this and was immediately riveted. The idea of bridging a gap of communication is... fascinating. And the time shenanigans... I loved it. 

Transcendence - I love the concept, the potential of this sort of idea. Makes me think.

How to Train Your Dragon - look....... dragons. 

Howl’s Moving Castle - A Classic. 

The Shape of Water - Really neat. Again, bridging a gap of communication. I’m also a sucker for human/non-human relationships sdjhdf

Ender’s Game - Loved the book, and the movie was neat, too. 

Spirited Away - also A Classic. 

Firebreather - I saw it when it came out on Cartoon Network... ten years ago now, wow. It really stuck with me somehow. 

The ordering kind of breaks down into a nebulous “yeah I like it but I don’t know if I like it more than the others” pretty fast, but oh well.

Trigun mostly but on AO3 i do have a single bnha fic and a fullmetal fic. I have some other fullmetal fics saved but i havent been as inspired to write for them lol

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I absolutely try to respond to every comment. Some get past me or some i feel like my answer would just be really repetitive so i hold off,,,, but i really love seeing comments and responding so that people know that i saw their comment !!!

What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Okay so all my fics are super sweet bc i have a hard time ending things on a dour note lol

I like fix it fics !!!

But i do have a wip in the works that will be hurt/no comfort and that will quickly become my fic with the angstiest ending 

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Probably in the meadow. Everyone is crying and in love and its the cheesiest ending ever but i love and adore it because who doesn’t love a little cheese !!!!!!

Do you get hate on fics?

Not yet lol. Im not popular enough for the haters to come attacking. I just have my small and valuable army of supporters WHO I ADORE

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

No i don’t particularly enjoy smut in general. I will on occasion write a steamy makeout but i don’t do smut

Do you write crossovers?

I would enjoy writing crossovers because im a big au fan. I got @veilder to rant to me last night about a trigun x genshin idea and it made me excited bc i like when veil info dumps (i love when anyone info dumps,,, IF YOU HAVE MILLYNAI THOUGHTS PLEASE SEND THEM TO ME)

Not that i know of, and if i did it would have been an old one

No but that would be super fun

Not officially published, but i am co writing with someone right now >:3

I also do a lot of brainstorming and collaborating with people to make my stories and influence others, but those arent particularly co writing

What's your all-time favourite ship?

Vashmeryl and millynai have risen SO HIGH ON MY LIST

Honestly Millynai is my favorite, but Royai will forever remain and all time favorite ship (and tenrose WHOOPS)

What's a WIP you'd like to finish but doubt you ever will?

Hrmmm i have a razmeryl wip i really want to finish but i don’t know when ill have the time to dedicate my brain to their Insane Dynamic

What are your writing strengths?

I think i write with a good flow. Its not so choppy (at least not anymore lol) and it keeps anyone whos reading engaged enough to keep going.

And i appeal to emotion and yall love that dont you

What are your writing weaknesses?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm i have many

Im repetitive? I use the same words and phrases over and over,,,, and im predictable in how characters act bc i often project myself into them,,, meaning i use myself as a reference and i try not to but it helps make it real in my mind

I often outline too much and scare myself out of actually writing lol

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I would certainly try,,, but the only language im really semi-qualified to translate into is American Sign Language (which i would love to do, we are severely lacking in deaf characters)

First fandom you wrote for?

Doctor Who baby !!! my fic is still out there floating in the void that is wattpad

Favourite fic you've ever written?

in the meadow,,,, hands down. Please if you havent read it i would love if you would.... Its quite fun and has redemption and character exploration and kiss scenes and yearning and pining and denial and its a slowburn sooooooooo you can waste a lot of time with it hehe

The Angel Behind Us  (Detroit: Become Human fan animation)

I think I’m most proud of this collaborative animation project I did with some friends! This is the coolest thing I’ve ever helped make, and in such a short time, too.

1. RK900 / Nines (Detroit: Become Human) - Obviously fanon edition, since he has one(1) appearance and says nothing in-game, haha! But I find the popular views of his personality very relatable - stoic and emotionally distant but not unfeeling. Also, his design is great. That jacket. That turtleneck. Excellent.

2. Shiro (Voltron) - He’s like that older, reliable brother that could also definitely use hugs.

3. Alastor (Hazbin Hotel) - I........ love him. Powerful demon with a style and power. Also, he’s asexual, which is Excellent.

4. John Doe (UnOrdinary) - He fascinates me. I want the best for him. I want him to get the help he needs so he can heal. Also, I’m weak for the OP. 

5. Grimm (Hollow Knight) - I was torn between him and Monomon. But I’ll go with Grimm since his style is fabulous and excellent. Great boss music, too.

6. Wilson (Don’t Starve) - Science nerd. High intelligence, low wisdom. He’s fun. 

7. Sapphire (Steven Universe) - I love her so much. Logical but not unfeeling. 

8. Mephisto (Blue Exorcist) - He’s so chaotic. But very interesting. 

9. Peter Parker (MCU) - What a good kid. *cocks gun* It’d be a shame if something were to happen to him.

10. Miles Edgeworth (Ace Attorney) - I really vibe with him. I like his style.
