We can't hear it Spam, but it's real to you. I get auditory hallucinations a lot, and usually what helps me is a distraction. Maybe... name 5 things you can see? Or make paper airplanes with old messages, or draw some pictures. Otherwise, I'm sure someone has a crossword or story they can send you to help you out!

the last unicorn post from earlier has me thinking about the master. that yana is still in there, you know? is still someone he was, if even for a brief flash across the life of a time lord. there’s no way to unlive that life. there are ways to twist it later, sure, to make utopia into hell on earth. but the life was lived. in much the same way that the doctor can remember, can feel, the love he held onto as john smith even as that life is ripped out of his hands. the doctor choose denial and then grief and then to shutter it all away. and so john smith died, and so professor yana died, and the doctor and the master live on. the doctor has done this before, and he lives in orbit around humanity, trying to keep the best parts of them and hold them deep enough to take root (which he can pretend he gets to choose, as a time lord. as a human, it all floods in and can’t be dug back out.) but what about the master, right?
to borrow a turn of phrase: i think there are two time lords left in the universe, and they both learned how to regret.

not to be like “i miss college” even though i do but mostly i think i miss being smart. before depression and life events had chewed up and partially swallowed my brain. just getting to problem solve and think, being Very Into something as the norm. i know being an english major is basically the easiest thing you can be at the undergrad level but i do feel like that was the one and only time in my life where my natural state was actually a pro instead of a con. i graduated with the highest honors and absolutely no one cared but i cared

How come when a grad student reads about the same thing every day and collects as much research as they can about one subject they’re a “scholar” but when I do it I’m “probably autistic”

it is absolutely doing something to me to see people relating to/loving The Character in spite of the many flaws of how his story is conveyed.
Knowing what this character was meant to be originally (even knowing he kind of returned there a little bit, at least more than what I'd be comfortable with), it does warm my heart to see people connecting to his story regardless. Like yes, the spiral of quite-literal madness and the relentless fights were worth it for this reason, at least.

An Update!
Hi guys! Okay so I know I said I’d be posting art and reading more in the coming weeks BUT
This new job is proving to be harder than I anticipated. It’s kicking my ass to be frank. I’m being challenged in a way that I’ve never been challenged before— and while that’s a good thing, it’s still taking a toll on me (a good toll but a hard one nonetheless)
So as much as I’d like to read and draw and post every week, I can’t—at least until early October when this gig is over.
I’ll try to post here and there when I can but most likely not super often.
But yeah, just a little update for you all to know what’s goin on.
Now allow me to get candid in the tags 😶
