Alexia was at training when she received a notification on her phone. Pulling it out, she sees a familiar notification. ‘yourinstagram posted a photo’

Clicking on it, she sees your new post. A new album.

“Hey, baby.”

Alexia quickly clots out of the app, putting her phone in her pocket.

“Hey.”

“What’re you doing?”

“Oh, you know.” Alexia shrugs her shoulders. “Just going through the socials, emails.”

“Oh, okay. Well, you wanna go to this restaurant I’ve always wanted to try?”

“Sure.”

At dinner, Alexia gets another notification. Seeing it, she acts like it was from her manager, excusing herself from the table.

Alexia hasn’t had the chance to listen to the album, but from the looks of it, it’s become a hit in just a few hours.

Returning to the table, she sees that the desserts have been brought out.

“What did your manager want?”

“Oh, you know, just some football talk about the game soon.”

All her girlfriend does is nod, going back on her phone.

It’s been a year since Alexia broke up with you, but she couldn’t seem to stop thinking of you. Everywhere she looked, you were there, whether it was your songs or in posters and magazines.

You were everywhere.

You looked so beautiful in the pictures you posted, but she couldn’t help but wonder about that Shawn guy. Who is he to you? Alexia knew she had no right to be jealous, but she couldn’t help it.

Getting back home, her girlfriend was all over her, hoping to get lucky, but she wasn’t in the mood, pushing her away, giving a sorry of an excuse as to why she didn’t want to.

As her girlfriend slept, she stayed in the living room, putting her headphones on.

The first song, she remembers you writing it. The first time you let Alexia listen to it, it ended with you both back in bed. She grinned at the memory.

Getting to the fourth track, she carefully listens to the lyrics, quickly realizing that it was about her and her new relationship.

“Is this how you really feel?” Alexia asks herself.

She had met her now girlfriend a couple of months after the breakup when she went to Ibiza to let loose. She was aware of how quickly she moved on, so caught up in the new relationship.

She decides to sleep on the couch, not being able to bear sleeping next to her girlfriend.

It’s been two weeks since Alexia had listened to your new album. In those two weeks, she broke up with her girlfriend, much to her now ex-girlfriend’s pleas.

Alexia was the one to break up with you. No real reason given, just something about needing space. Remembering back to that conversation, Alexia realizes how much hurt she caused you.

Walking around the neighborhood, seeing all the Christmas lights, it reminds her of how the both of you would walk this very same path, looking at all the lights. Christmas has always been your favorite holiday.

Feeling guilty, she scrolls through her contacts, thumb hovering over your name. Clicking on it, she hears the call ring for a bit, some good news that you haven’t blocked her number. Eventually it goes to voicemail.

“Hey, uh, it’s Alexia. Um, I’ve, uh, just been thinking about you lately. I’m walking and seeing all the lights and I remember how it was your favorite thing to do. And, uh, it’s been a year and I know I have a lot to apologize for. So, if you do get this, please call me back… I miss you. Bye.”

It's time to create your own mission style dream house, with this collection of 345 brand new and hella cool build/buy mode items, inspired by Dontnod's "Life is Strange: Before the Storm" game.

DISCLAIMER: Simsi45 or The Sims 4 Amber House Pack is NOT affiliated or associated with Electronic Arts, Square Enix, Deck Nine or Dontnod in ANY way. This is a purely fanmade pack made by me, a fan of both games that wanted to get the best of both worlds.

FEATURES:

 345 new items (including sofas, tables, decor, windows, doors and much much more!)

 Search for "amberhouse", "lis", "simsi45" to find most of the items in the build/buy catalog.

 Custom original names and descriptions. (the best I could come up with :P)

 Tons of custom recolors (based on original textures) to mix and match items more easily.

 Heavy modification on original meshes and textures, including english text turned into simlish.

 Everything has been playtested thoroughly.

 Included are a couple of easter egg items from The Sims 2 that I thought fit the theme well.

New lot I made showcased in the trailer and pics (found in the gallery under my tag @simsi45_mods) a recreation of Rachel Amber's house.

ABOUT THE LOT:

The lot will be eventually uploaded in the gallery once it passes its finishing stages. You will be able to find it in the gallery under my EA id: @simsi45_mods. I will update you all once it becomes available.

NOTES:

~ The pack is in an EARLY-ACCESS STATE! I have dedicated a lot of time to test everything but I'm a team of just a single person. If you find any issues please let me know so I can take a look.

~ Because of the amount of items the size of the pack is quite big. I tried my best to make everything as compact as possible with the final size being 1.5 GB of required free space. 

~ The majority of the meshes and textures of these items are ripped straight from the LIS: Before the Storm game, and then each individual item (both mesh and textures) has been heavily modified and edited to fit and function properly within the Sims 4 game's engine. That's why some items will look identical to the original game, some look somewhat different, and some are brand new meshes I made using the original items.

~ Some of the original ripped meshes' poly counts were WAY too high so I had to lower the polygons so The Sims 4 wouldn't explode when filling a lot with them. I lowered the polygons and edited most of the items as much as possible without compromising their original look too much. In other words I tried to find the best balance between looks and performance and after lots of testing on my moderate PC system, I can confirm the game runs super smoothly on my end. 

BACKSTORY ABOUT THE PACK (no spoilers):

This pack started with an idea I got back in 2017 when I first played Life Is Strange Before The Storm. When visiting the Amber house, I immediately fell in love with it as I am huge fan of the craftsman architectural style, it's literally all I'd want my dream house to be. The art team has done an incredible job on it, and as I personally find the art style of the Life is Strange series and The Sims 4 to fit very well with each other, I wanted to make these assets available for The Sims 4. Of course back then this all seemed impossible, however a few years later in 2020 during quarantine I revisited the idea as it had been stuck on my wishlist ever since.

To make a long story short, this project has been in the works for about 3 years now, and after a lot of hard work, head scratching and quite a few sleepless nights I managed to overcome all the obstacles I came across (which were a lot mind you) and I'm honestly hoping you'll be as pleased with the results as I am. Seriously this exceeded my expectations as it started as a small little pack for my personal use, to what I'd consider an expansion pack's (or even more) worth of build/buy content.

INSTALLATION:

Due to the size of the pack I had to split it up into multiple parts. You will need a .RAR extractor unpack it. More specifically:

1 -> Download ALL 6 parts of the pack and put them ALL in the same folder. 2 -> Right click the 1st part .RAR file named "Simsi45 - The Sims 4 Amber House Pack.part1" and click "Extract Here"   3 -> Once that's finished a package file will appear, this is the entire pack and you can now move that into The Sims 4/Mods. Simple as that!

I know so many of my mutuals love cam boy Billy who gets all sexy for the camera but can I just say…

I love broke and desperate cam boy Billy who becomes a performer to make ends meet, but he’s so insecure about his body in comparison to others on the website, he won’t do any nudity streams, so he just does chat-with-me streams to make just enough to cover rent.

He has an audience average of 10, 30 on a good day. Most just have a thing for blue eyed bottoms with long blonde hair.

He’s so poorly ranked on the site that Steve found him by chance by filtering his search and reordering the results from bottom to top. Steve becomes a fan because Billy is honest and authentic (and hot), and makes him feel less awkward about looking for something interesting on a website a porn pop up led him to.

Steve pays for private shows, just so he can talk to Billy and get to know him better. Billy does it because he needs the money, and Steve does it because he’s terribly lonely.

And, well, Billy is terribly lonely too.

They keep it “professional.” At first. No real names are used, and they only know each other as performer CamaroBoy29 and user KS003.

Eventually, Billy becomes more confident and the private shows with Steve gradually escalate from “what’s up” to “my name is Billy, my name is Steve,” to Billy helping Steve with his midterm paper.

Then, they're doing late night shows after work, where Billy is venting about how much he hates his dad, and Steve is agreeing, revealing how his dad is an asshole too.

"Are you sure you wanna pay $12 a minute for this? I feel like you should be charging me." Billy joked.

"No, don't be silly. I like this a lot."

Not only is Billy more confident, he's smiling more, he's feeling safer, he has a friend that he's really fond of. The private shows start to become friendlier. Sometimes they're drunk nights, both of them letting loose, playing 21 questions and flirting. Billy takes a risk and lets Steve see his dick, Steve tells Billy all his sexual fantasies, and not long after, they agree to meet up.

They exchange numbers, and the private shows stop, but the photo exchanges and Apple Pays commence.

Whenever Steve has time off from school, he flies out to California to take Billy on dates. They enjoy their time together, slowly falling in love.

For awhile, Billy continues to do his no nudity shows, and Steve continues to be a supportive fan. Billy doesn’t want to rely on Steve like he’s some sugar daddy.

Steve still wants Billy’s attention—and he wants it bad. He sends $10 or more every show, just so Billy will thank him by username, and buys every outfit on Billy’s Amazon wishlist.

When Steve finally graduates from university, he tells Billy he’s going to turn down his father’s job offer and find his own way, but in California.

“I just wanna be near you.” Steve tells him.

Billy doesn't get it. He can’t understand why. He’s nobody. He’s ranked like—4,700 on a cam website because he’s too pussy to show his cock. He lives in a tiny ass, sorry excuse for apartment where his water is always cold, and he thinks he’s just a piss poor excuse for a human who can’t find enough hours to even go to the college of his dreams because he needs to work. He’d be damned if he ever had to go back to his abusive home.

Steve didn’t see Billy as a pussy or 4,700th. He saw Billy as brave, amazing, adventurous, his #1, and the best sex he’s ever had in his life.

Steve gets a really nice apartment where the water is always hot, and there’s always space for Billy, so he can do the things he loves, and be with the person who loves him.

Loving Families. I do not have the Euro exclusive siblings, only the US release siblings.

Softies which I don't even want and don't know why I have so many. It just kind of happened. I do get attached to things that need more work to be nice again.

The center area holds the ponies I have multiples if not all of from a set. Like TaF, Princess Brush n Grow, Sparkle Ponies, etc. They're not in there in a particularly logical way. They're kind of in there in blobs by set. Some are rehaired.

The lower shelf are ponies that are very different from the rest of the collection, and the only playset I own. I need to add some color to that shelf somehow.

This side, we have all of the ponies that I have only one from the set, ones that aren't particularly special, one full custom that should be with the others

but there is no room, and the lower shelf is all Flat Foot ponies, except Peachy who is an imposter/place holder for Blossom whom I don't have.

I do have a Sweetheart Sisters Sunblossom upstairs in the office with me. She has a special place for a sad reason.

There are also some that I've been working on for a while and haven't completed in order to put in the display.

My wishlist is very small:

FF Cotton Candy is on there because mine is heavily damaged.

Kind of Like Liveblogging: Pit Babe

* Thank you for listening to me, Pit Babe, and giving at least a hint of Charlie and Babe conspiring. I still have no idea what their plot is, but I feel more confident we'll find out in a timely manner (and what little they say could arguably fit my revenge-on-Tony theory).

* Pete & Way!! I'm so excited.

* yes. This interaction was so good. So sexy. I love all of Way's smiles, including his melancholy ones. I love how they hardly even look at each other. I feel like good scenes of hitting on someone in bars are rare in BL. I like how grown up this one feels. (Subtitles were slightly confusing though, was Pete trying to imply that he was or that he wasn't hitting on Way?) I can't wait to see where these two go.

* Oh there's more of them!

* Oh, I am all in on PeteWay. That's it, cancel everything else, I just want to follow their story. I was excited about this pairing, but I didn't expect it to be this good. The way Pete just looks at him. They way he leaned his head on the sofa as Way clutched at his hand. The note! "If you need a drinking buddy..." This is melancholy and grownup in a way that is catnip for me. And the actors are adult enough to handle it.

* Kim! *happy little wiggle dance* So far this episode is tailer-made for me. He's so effortlessly powerful. Winner keeps getting brattier and brattier, hoping each time he can finally push Kim into holding him down and fucking him into submission.

* Plot tidbits revealed. I guess Tony is trying to kidnap or otherwise possess Babe so he can sell him to someone? I'm assuming for his special alpha senses? And it looks like he just fired Kim, although the subtitles were confusing.

* Someone in the tags mentioned a possible KimKenta pairing and god I hope we get it. When Tony mentioned punishing Kenta I had a beautiful vision of him whipping Kenta in front of Ken, setting off their omegaverse darkfic journey to love and healing through BDSM.

* Omg, it's the second coming of Kimlock Holmes! Bless.

* This show is starting to give me answers. It's like they read my wishlist. So Charlie is another of Tony's kids (as I guessed), Tony raises them to sell (not surprising), Charlie keeps secrets from Tony about Jeff (good, and could fit my theory). And that's all we learn cause Babe is too busy yelling and Charlie too busy gaping like a fish. Babe's reaction makes sense for the character, but since I already knew I want to move on and get some more information about the why of it all.

* But also Babe you are kinda dumb and have to get better at subterfuge. And uh oh, Tony sees them.

* And now a toothpaste commercial :-/ The product placement is often jarring. At least it's mainly a chance to stare at Way.

* Oh Babe, I'm so sorry. I think I find him the least interesting character, just because he's the most transparent and obvious about who he is and what he wants, but I sympathize with his heartbreak. You finally fell in love and it turns out (it seems like) it was all fake.

* Way used his special persuasive powers again, looking heartbroken and ambivalent about it all. It seems like he can't tolerate the man he loves hurting, and will resort to mind control to "fix" the feeling bad, instead of just holding his pain with him. Nut is really conveying that he believes he's helping Babe by manipulating his mind.

* When Babe grabbed Way's hand I was really expecting a rebound hookup that would simultaneously make Way's wildest dreams come true and ruin his life. And Babe's life too. At least for a few episodes. (But also it would be extremely hot.)

* I'm glad that now Charlie's secret is out we'll get to see more of his real self, whoever that is. Less creepy smiling for now (of which I approve).

* I'm not sure what I think of the use of the these distorting wide angle lenses. Part of it is I can't always tell if they're an artistic choice or just a practical solution to filming in close spaces. But they're also using lots of hand held camerawork and Dutch angles to create moods, so maybe it's intentional.

* The parallels to Pete and Way in the same exact positions on this sofa, with Way now in Pete's spot, looking at the beautiful, heartbroken boy!

* And now Charlie reveals what his plot had been! Apparently he found out that this unknown Alpha was in danger and decided to insinuate himself into his life in order to be a sort of bodyguard, and then genuinely falling in love with him. Which is fine, that's good, it fits all of Charlie's actions we've seen before, and makes their love story as easy as possible. It's minimum levels of betrayal. But it's kinda boring, no? It turns Charlie into a player in Babe's life, without his own goals. I would have preferred my theory of Charlie using Babe to somehow get revenge on Tony. It would make Charlie and his love much richer and more complicated.

* Unless of course Charlie is lying again about his intentions but I really don't think so. It's not that sort of show (I'm pretty sure), and I don't think think their relationship could survive that.

* Along with that reveal we also get more Tony's Alpha Farm lore. A breeding program! Details about enigmas that get confused by the subtitles. (I'm still unclear whether Babe or the enigma would be the one getting mpregnant. And since this is the mpreg racing car BL, that is the most crucial detail of all.) Alphas whose powers never develop, left abandoned in solitary confinement. And we finally learn Charlie's special skill, or rather that he doesn't have one. (Although I would not be at all surprised to find he develops a power just in time to save Babe from Tony in the big climactic showdown.)

* Who is the enigma Tony wants to breed with Babe? Is it someone we know (Winner perhaps? or Jeff? Jeff would make the most sense, for the emotionality and drama) or someone irrelevant offstage. I've decided my money is on Jeff.

* I'm not entirely clear why Tony didn't just kidnap Babe already. His airbnb mansion seems to have minimal security. I'm also unclear on what Charlie thought his presence was doing in terms of protection but either the answers will be revealed in time (I'm not holding my breath) or it's because It Makes the Plot Go (I'll accept it).

* Hmm, and Kenta is (almost definitely) lying to Tony about Charlie. That's good, I like Kenta (and still dream of KimKenta).

* So what's Way's deal? Is he also a runaway from Tony, or did he develop his powers on his own? I don't remember hearing anything either way. (I just had a horrible thought—what if he's Tony's mole and manipulating Babe because of that. But it doesn't fit the evidence so far so I'm hopeful this thought is wrong.)

* Ooohhhhhh. Charlie does have a secret special power after all, and it's Absorption, and he absorbed Babe's heightened senses through all that touching they did. (I appreciate the sex scene montage to remind us about all the touching they did.) AND the only way to transfer the power back is for Charlie to die! "I'm willing to die for you if you want, Babe," he claims! This is a complicated enough twist to satisfy me. Did Charlie do it on purpose? Did he know it was happening? He definitely never tried to stop touching Babe. Does he feel guilty? He doesn't look like he feels guilty. Is he really telling the complete truth? Is he evil after all, even if he's not working for Tony? Maybe he really is the Talented Mr. Ripley. I am Intrigued.

* I was worried when Charlie first arrived and was pleading for Babe's forgiveness, that his old submissive persona wasn't just a persona but who he actually was. Boring. But I should know by now to trust the show more about these sort of things. As soon as Babe accepted him, and settled enough to listen. Dominant Charlie came out, and submissive Babe fell right into line, without even realizing it. The casual authority in the way he told Babe to give him the whiskey glass, and Babe's instant compliance. Delicious. This is so obviously what their dynamic naturally is, and I'm glad the show isn't pretending otherwise.

* And the man who has staked his whole identity on being champion has lost the special powers that got him there. He says he doesn't need them, he can do without, but can he? Some beautiful angst is coming my way.

* The way Charlie slides his arms around Babe's waist is so... just slightly disturbing and I love it. I guess now that he's won he's rewarding(?) Babe by pretending to be all cute and submissive again, but you can't fool me, Charlie Dom.

* I do believe that Charlie genuinely loves Babe. Just that there are a lot of other things going on.

* Oh 😢 I got distracted and forgot about way, and now he's showing up to his dinner with Babe with red roses looking so hopeful. Oh sweetheart.

* Babe riding Charlie in his tiny convertible -> hot.

* But he forgot all about Way, who sat at that table with his roses for hours. The heartbreak on his face at Babe's text. You know what you need, Way? A drinking buddy.

* Of course Alan is the first one to say, we need to bring this evil man to justice and save all the kidnapped children. I love you Alan, you beautiful, kind hearted leader.

* Mostly the bad subtitles are annoying but inconsequential, but WHAT IS BABE SAYING ABOUT KIM?! Does he thing Kim is a danger to him and his crew, or does he think Kim is in danger from Tony? Because it makes a difference. I had assumed Babe realized Kim was on their side, but the translation is off and sometimes Babe's an idiot.

* Dumb and dumber are so oblivious. Who in their garage thinks Tony's a kindhearted guy? I thought they all hated him already. That was weird. (When are these two going to finally hook up? My bet is in the last half of the final episode, right before the coda with the main couples.)

* And as we all knew, it was Kim in danger from Tony. I had seen this screenshot in a post tagged Kim and Kenta, but I didn't look closely, and in my previous imaginings I was picturing Kenta as the one on his knees. * Oh no, we haven't seen Jeff since the opening scene! I'm worried about him. I think it's only been two and a half days in universe, but I feel like every other episode we got more of Jeff which is making me suspicious that something happened to him. For anyone wondering if I am house right now, yes. I officially do not have a place of my own as of Sunday but masons family is going to let us stay in the attic on the farm until we can recoup our costs and find a place. This is so fucking hard though because I've been homeless before so housing insecurity and not having a space that is mine is very fucking scary and stressful, not to mention the financial abuse the nightmare potential roommate put us through. And I can't get my cat now. The financial and emotional mistreatment retriggered severe trauma and mason and I are stressed out of our gourds now In good news our friends and masons family and my Grandma are trying to help. My friend is letting me maybe do a market with them this week. I put my zines up in a music store for sale today. Gonna go through all my stuff and sell shit I don't need. Gonna do surveys to help have a bit more income. Had an interview in town today and have an interview for literally my DREAM job next week. So holding out hope. I may put up a wishlist of comfort items and things to just. Ease the hurt a little bit as I'm feeling like horrific. I'm also contemplating opening up commissions, or actually finally using this time to start a feasible and livable art business so I have more security money wise

The fact that Haniyya is, absolutely, my most fleshed out and diverse muse by far ( besides say Yuujin ), and I feel like of i were to speak on her or try to push for more interactions that I'm deliberately being pushy and greedy?

What has roleplaying done to me? As someone that will sit and listen to every last female Muse's story, lavish them with attention, or pay attention to those muses that don't quite get as much attention as the rest for this that and the other reason, I am so likely to dig through a wishlist and give people things to make their day all the better that I don't even think to want or to try give myself.

Genuinely, what kind of things have I witnessed in my sixteen years of this shit that I felt I had to have her perfect and viable on every level in comparison to someone like say Deimos. Deimos is lovely and I love him, but he's literally man see shiny, man steal shiny, cat burglar go brrrr brrrr. The fact that I feel comfortable in making this weird and just barely not a throw away character at all, and feel right as rain that he's a fucking fever dream, is wild. I could never do that for a woman muse and I'm just now processing this fact as we speak. I cannot half-ass or not have a grand five step plan for them in comparison of the many stupid, bad, idiotic male muses I had one inkling of an idea for and still put him up as an option. And I feel like if I speak on this character, try to dangle her in front of people like a carrot, or think to suggest her to someone that I freeze up and have to ask myself if it is okay. I don't want to push people out of their comfort zones, but like it shouldn't. Women exist, I swear they do.

As someone who will never not have bisexual / pansexual characters, I don't want to limit myself or put myself in a box ANYWHERE, because I myself am very comfortably pansexual. And the fact that I have to put this in the context of shipping, when most people don't even want to ship, explains it all on why I have been psychologically conditioned to downplay how amazing both my female and other female Muse's have to be to feel even the slightest bit validated.

Don't even — by jove !! — don't even ask me how much worse it is when this muse is not only a female but a female of color. That's a whole can of worms that grows to encompass the entire umbrella of poc and is compounded upon when it's a woman. I have actual horror stories of people being driven off and downright belittled for wanting to roleplay these very repressed demographics, even as a poc themselves. As a black woman, I cannot tell you how agonizing it was to avoid certain stereotypes that are seen as harmful in a general sense, but exist in my space as something of a comfort. AAVE being one of them. It gets labeled harshly, but I can relax and be more myself when someone is clearly on the wave.

It is something someone like Nekoya ( being creole and from Louisiana ) or Yuujin ( because he is with Nekoya often and loves predominantly in Louisiana ) would very clearly be exposed to and would use, but I have to treat it as something that would only come forth when with the right kinds of people.

And that feels a little ick, I'm not gonna lie. All of it feels a little ‘ grimey ’.

bigger households - having to control or monitor 8 human/humanish sims is challeging enough but because pets, because having to fake apartments, because reasons; i use mccc but this workaround brings issues in cas so yea, wishlist ✔️ snakes // lizards - this would've been appropriate to launch with horses imo and i'd love if there had been interaction/compatibility from snakes in the wild and those taller friends & other small pets - small pet options in ts4 are non existent, sorry, birds only exist in that one tree (they are probably happy about not being captive actually), bunnies are also wild (personally im fine with it but i know that its a popular pet so i'd love if it was an option), reptiles don't exist (yet) and rodents are exclusive to the slap-in-the-face-of-this-community pack... 🐁🐇🐢🦎🐍🐦🐜 faeries or other fae kin - i feel like they've hinted at it for quite a while and we've seen it show up in quizzes too?? 🧚‍♀️ so i'm hopeful for this one and hope they are just trying to make sure they properly deliver on it bc there's a lot of fantasy enthusiasts and they deserve it & woodland creatures - personally would love it if the fae pack came with woodsy world and the addition of woodland creatures at least the spiritual kind (like unicorns or a white doe which they possibly alluded to with puzzles - it made me real giddy) bonus points if it has some outdoor retreat compatibility

owning more lots - after winning the lottery or keeping up with a family for generations, sims can accumulate quite a lot of money, there's not a lot of expenses in the life of a sim tbh, travelling only costs one loading screen, gardeing makes you rich and thats ok ig but being able to own a holiday house would be welcomed, not just a business 🏘️ nectar making - when tartosa came but no nectar making i was a bit let down, imagine making or acquiring a special batch for your wedding?? it would've been lovely and appropriate for a wedding pack but ... yeah anyway it comes with the horse pack for some reason so at least it's coming, and only 3 years after juice fizzing 🥂 bands and more instruments - another thing they've hinted at in polls and i kinda wished it to come with HSY yet was not surprised it didn't; that being said we need drums and other instruments like bass and/or contrabass, just more than what we have if we're to have bands plz skating and/or surfing - these two are very different and honestly idk how the latter one would work, i just think they are popular sports we could have; at least skate boards should be easy enough to implement and a cute way for sims to drift around their closed off worlds so i have more hope for that one 🏄

hotels - even if they've been around the franchise and ts4 seems to draw all it's ideas from previous iterations i'm not confident they haven't just been replaced by rental properties but it's not the same, i'd like to be able to meet other guests vacationing on the property without having to engineer everything about it, ordering meals at hotel services and running/owning a hotel also; retirement homes - ELDER SIM LOVE IN GENERAL (canes, health issues, idk im not that old yet ..hum wills & testiments, special interactions) i feel growing together really fucked up on that one but i was not surprised bc it's ts4 and we rely on crumbs mods here and thats why some players stop buying dlc 👵☕👴 the townie refreshes - just pay some fans to do it at this point bc it's taking so long; most of them don't need to be redesigned anyway, just add hot and cold weather outfits, preferences and maybe a sneaky extra trait or lifestyle they could have developed and voilá, finish that chapter disabilities - i don't want it in the form of traits and thing it's rotten to make people to pay for it BUT i'd love to see some disability representation in this game, physical, cognitive and what not. i understand at this point it might be hard to introduce but i think it be really important to have this in the sims and ts4 is about time funerals & cemeteries - death is a part of life, this is a life sim... thats it basically, i want it, i miss it in comparison to previous games, i fake it with parks and inviting guests over, but we shouldn't have to tho seems pretty basic stuff

more and better apartments - i would like it if we saw more conjoined builds, more apartment builds, both with few floors and plenty, the option to have sims living in different floors of the same building and even having business or community lots in builds that are divided into multiple lots - ambitious ik - bonus points if they update apartments in a way you can own one or more and rent them out - i don't want to play as a landlord, i swear - i just want my sims to be allowed do simbnb while they go for a weekend in the city (which ig u cant bc of the current system/coding idk) or bringing them to more existing worlds but bc of the obstacles to that i have 0 hopes well-crafted worldly words - i see a lot of americancentric choices being made when creating the worlds, it's unrealistic for a global player base and hum.. a life sim and whenever they drop interesting worlds they are always so frigging small you have to sacrifice making a lively town, with people and businesses, if you want you're sim to live in certain environments (or use multibuilds, which is fine ig but it bothers me a bit) and they fail to utilize the common spaces of the neighbourhoods in ways simmers would love to, to bring some life into these worlds; 🌍 the worldly part of it... i am yet to see african like climates and cultures represented, asia is so wide & full of diversity and we get one japan inspired world so far, south america if confined to a destination world if you don't have mods ig (maybe it's changed by now im not sure) and europe while being represented in 3 packs so far - and one of them being the best in terms of lots per world we've had so far - 2 of them have few lots and its all very niche, so in a way i don't need to be able to point to the actual cities that inspired those worlds, it's not my priority just something that crowded and lively that draws from wider range of cultures and that mre people could recognize as close to their experience would be nice 🌏 also more islands maybe im a sulani simp new jobs & careers - i love GTW, it was the first pack i got and sure it deserved a refresh by now and i would welcome it, especially if it meant more careers, i really liked that gameplay feature; that being said i feel like we deserve more job options OR branches. y no dentist ??? i cant think of ideas right now but while playing the game and setting up townies or sims i feel limited a lot trans content fixes - yea i avoid using the in-game system for trans rep (i headcanon a lot and cheat stuff basically) bc its just not the best in general (clothes fit weird, there's no changes in the frame through time as there would be with hormonal treatments - which there arent in the game so makes sense), not in comparison bc i dont know other games to compare it to just real life ig but im not even that informed tbh; i am happy they didnt create a life sim where trans people are erased and don't want them to be discouraged to stop investing in this at all so i try not to mention it but fix the binder at least & here's a tumblr post that helps me a bit something that surprises me - /pos !! because... they don't... a lot of what we see seems to me like repeating the content ideas from older games but spreading it out to make as much dlc as possible; i had a lot of more wow reveal moments with ts2 & ts3 i feel like but cant truly be sure bc brain is mush

XAVIER IS THE VICTIM OF A HATE CRIME. This is not something I will discuss or negotiate on, nor do I consider it a divergence as it's quite literally baked into the canon of the text. A year before the events of the show Tyler and his friends attacked Xavier on outreach day for who and what he was. That's a hate crime. Tyler is seen to be in court mandated therapy even a year after these events which leads me to believe that this was so brutal and public that not even Weems and his father's propensity for coverups could make it go away completely. This is not an Anti-Tyler move. It's taking what the text has given us as looking at it on it's face. I actually quite like Tyler, I think he's a neat little guy — which is why I refuse to obfuscate or lessen his crimes or actions. Especially when what he did to Xavier so clearly impacts him a year later. The show has Wednesday treat it like a prank say "she would've gone further" which is frankly, a bonkers ass take given how they also make her care so deeply about the plight of outcasts. How relevant rpers and muses want to handle this is up to those individuals but I will be treating it with the severity it deserves and takes similar to Wednesday's canon one will absolutely negatively impact their relationship with him.

XAVIER IS PSYCHIC. The logic around how outcasts work is a little weird, they seem to be a subspecies, for lack of a better term, with then further sub categories or a lot of unrelated subspecies thrown into the same box that then built a community out of that. But there's no indication that say, the child of a werewolf and gorgon would have the traits or powers of both. Xavier is first and foremost a psychic, he has prophetic dreams and such. I categorize him as a RAVEN ( a psychic who only sees dark things and risks insanity ). His ability to make his art move is essentially an extension of his psychic powers, art starts in the mind before it is expressed physically so it's still linked to the original thoughts and energies. Rowan's mother had prophetic visions, Rowan had telekinesis — mind based powers all seem to be in the same bag.

HE'S GOD'S WORST RED HERRING. The prior point makes me think that the idea that he could've ever been seen as a suspect for the hyde is patently insane. The public knowledge and displays of his power would crossed him off the suspect list once the monster was identified as an outcast breed. He also just has some fairly good alibis — as good as Tyler and Thornhill at least — and reasons why he's so invested. Frankly the detective work in the show is just aggressively bad and kind of insulting, no work was actually put in to planting clues or investigating any suspects other than Xavier and Wednesday basically just jumps to half baked conclusions with almost no basis ( ex. Kinbott — why would Laurel go through all the trouble of hiding her identity only to come back still a natural blonde to a town of people who could recognize her? ) . He really shouldn't have been accused or arrested — at least not with that level of certainty behind the claim. But I know if I throw that wrench into things I could fuck things up for other rpers from the show since it demands a lot of rewriting of like, half the season. So I'll hold back for now on making this hard law and see how it goes but it might be something I make law on here so keep an eye on that.

✦ how i got into them: i found them in the [redacted] tag. and then kept seeing their early tiktoks on my pinterest page, namely soobin running into the metal pole and taehyun in the mirror. i think i watched both of them at least 30 times, hence the first bias situation. also i saw a gen z idol comp and yeonjun dropped the pasta and i think i screm laughed for like 30 mins straight at that

✦ which member would be my best friend: hueningkai and i know this for several reasons: first and foremost bc im obsessed with him and he'd adore that , second that i would sew him any plush he wanted , third that i make a million jokes a minute and he loves laughing

My literary magazine Wizards in Space is opening up for submissions June 15 through August 1! I want to see your work!!

Looking for fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction and art. We pay you and send you a physical copy if we publish your piece!

For our last several issues, we’ve turned our gaze inward - focusing on survival in difficult times, foraging and gathering what you need to stay alive, putting up walls or reaching out hands to navigate the fraught boundaries of self and world. We’ve found private places and caring communities, wrenching sorrow and cautious hope. We’ve read stories of last resorts, precious treasures, fragile feelings held tight to the chest. There is so much strength in resilience, and Issues 06 and 07 showed us that no matter how fiercely the storm rages, there’s safety and shelter to be found. So what happens when that storm finally breaks and you can finally step outside?

When you can not just survive, but thrive. When you begin to come into yourself as someone powerful, beautiful, ambitious. When you uncurl your fingers and allow your cupped hands to overflow, bringing forth abundance and wealth. These are all ideas associated with the numerology of 8: a digit that stands for power and achievement and good fortune. It’s a number that means hard work finally paying off. The literal and metaphorical fruits of your physical and spiritual labor.

What does it mean to be empowered, to revel in your own strength? How do you take the abundance of yourself and share it freely with others? When have you felt most like dancing and singing? For our eighth issue, we want your power. Your exhalation. We want to know how your Scorpio heart and your August body take up space in this wind-tossed world.

Step forward. Be loud. Let us hear you, show us where you're going and what you'll find there. Tell us what you're building, what you’ll keep for yourself, and what gifts you’ll share with others.

As always, we want to see your political and your personal, your faith, identity, truths and dreams. Even if you are not sure your work fits, we want to hear from you.

Wishlist - end of 2012, beginning of 2013

This wishlist collage was also featured in my crafting blog, back when I was still using livejournal. The post is (currently) still live, and I’ve got another copy of it on my dreamwidth account (also neglected). Might as well have another copy of it on tumblr, for when I compile stuff eventually.

December 2012 is around the time I started discussing using a thread rack to display spare doll heads. John bought a rack before I got around to buying mine, but he was nice enough to credit me with the idea.

Anyway, here’s wonderwall of text.

Top, left- Hot Toys Loki 12in figure Loki's been on my mind for quite awhile. Most of the accessories and costume pieces will be sold off, since I really just want the nude figure. Individual pieces often fetch high prices, so selling the extras is less hassle than trying to fight for the stuff I'm after. Second and bottom, left- 23cm Obitsu body and extra 27cm Obitsu hands The 23cm body will go to "When I Read, I Dream" Jo, who has been fighting with Adex over the 25cm body. Might be able to skip it if I can get the right combo of parts out of what I have on hand. As for the hands, I don't have enough hands and feet within my bag of Obitsu parts. Hands are, well... handy. Top, right- KidKraft Beachfront Mansion Of all the dollhouses I was looking at, this was the only one that has the bottom floor off the ground. All the rooms will be given paint/wallpaper, so they're set up for plain photo backgrounds. Since it won't be a "house" as much as a photo studio, I won't need the furniture that goes with it. Meh, I have enough doll furniture as it is. Even if I don't get this specific house, it's a nice example of what I'd like to build. Second, right- 60 spool thread rack After doing the math and my dad's shock at how detailed my plans were, I've realized it's easier just to buy this thing. Not sure if I've mentioned it before, but this will be for storing/displaying my spare heads. My current head storage case won't fit heads with long hair, and doesn't let me see what I have at a glance. With the small spaces, it's probably better for storing doll shoes or other miniatures. Bottom, right- 12-Case Photo Storage Carrier These little cases are to hold doll clothes, to help me see things better at a glance. The idea came from corsetkitten's blog post, which seem to be the same size. Each mini-container is a bit bigger than an index card (designed for storing 4in by 6in photos). This particular one from The Container Store is a set of 12 mini-cases that go inside one larger case. The mini-cases are also sold separately and in a 6-pack with an outer container. While these are in the order of "importance", they aren't in order of "what's likely to be purchased first". Most likely, I'd get Loki, the spool rack, the Obitsu items, the photo case, and then the dollhouse. With time and long talks with my counselor, I've been able to push away impulse "needs" and shine a light of practicality on the ideas. Oh yes, there are tons of little items I could say I want, but those things will be drops in the bucket compared to more important stuff. ========

As of October 2022 (nearly 10 years later), I have most of the items here. Loki was the first thing I got. To this date, he’s my most expensive doll ($220 + $50 body), but he’s my 2nd fav. (Jude is #1. Sorry bud.) No regrets at all. He’s the best-looking of all the Hot Toys Loki figures, too.

Dollhouse was more about inspiration, rather than purchasing that specific one anyway. Didn’t get the 23cm Obitsu body; just not a priority anymore. Did get the extra hands, and I love them.

Instead of photo boxes, I got larger document-sized boxes. They have clear covers and are stack-able. I’ve barely started to use them, so idk if they’ll work out. Even though I’m doing better this year, getting back into organizing and dolls is still tough.

tell us about your Star Trek boys for the ask game

When I started shipping them: My dad dragged me kicking and screaming to Star Trek Beyond in theatres for his birthday and I came out a fan of the series. But I started out shipping Spirk at first because it's Star Trek and Spirk is the name of the game.

But then I read one gen fic, where Jim is stuck on the planet and he can only receive messages and the person who keeps sending their thoughts out to the planet, not knowing if they'd be heard, is Bones. And it completely shifted my perspective and changed the course of everything. My third eye was opened.

My thoughts: It's about two people who meet at the lowest points of their lives, look at each other, and basically imprint like ducklings. They both have trauma (Jim's are grand horrifying events, Leonard's are private everyday human tragedies) and they're picking themselves up and they see each other at their worst and see value there. They see the person behind the armour they both constructed. They choose each other time and again. Bones goes into space, his greatest fear, to remain at Jim's side. Bones was Jim's second champion after Pike but he was the one who was always by his side, even before Spock. Bones risked his career to take his safety blanket with him into Space when Jim got suspended and ended up saving the galaxy with that selfish choice.

If Obikin is my grand and mythic OTP, McKirk is my human one.

What makes me happy about them: I love that Jim is a literal human ray of sunshine that is also dtf (down to fight/fuck) and has this dark gritty core to him... and Bones is the exact opposite. Bones is the friendliest misanthrope to ever walk the earth. He's thorns and sharp one liners and the tenderest heart. He's a BITCH. They are both such massive bitches. They both believe so much in humanity in their own little way and they both project very specific characteristics to the world to protect themselves. They can remove their armour in each other's presence.

What makes me sad about them: That they both suffered so much over their lives. But Starfleet saved them.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: If you have Jim using pet names. Jim only calls Leonard 'Bones', capisce? (and his actual name for very serious moments, maybe)

Things I look for in fanfic: The ✨banter✨

My wishlist: I WANT A FOURTH MOVIE THAT FOCUSES ON THEIR RELATIONSHIP THE WAY BEYOND FOCUSED ON SPOCK AND BONES PLEASE

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: [dramatic sigh] I mean, Jim can end up in a polycule with Spock and Nyota like his biggest non-Bones-related wet dream come true. And Bones... I don't know if there's anyone I ship him with asides from Jim but I can definitely see him sowing his wild oats. Man has big southern daddy vibes. He'll take good care of you for a night 😏

My happily ever after for them: I want them to have fulfilling careers in Starfleet before they retire to Georgia so Bones can finally rest. The command crew visits them every year for the holidays.
