I honestly feel bad for Cressida at the end of season 3. Like they spent the first part of the season having her be semi-likable via friendship with Eloise, and never really convinced me that she deserved what she got. Not to mention the fact that every single season she was making good progress with a suitor, only for that suitor to go after someone else, only for that relationship to fall through, and then the suitor fucked off to nowhere.

Like in season 1 Cressida was doing well with the Prince, until Daphne decided to go for the Prince. Then Daphne ended up with Simon and the Prince left, leaving Cressida with nothing even though the Prince had initially shown interest in her.

Season 2 Cressida was doing really well with the new Lord Featherington, until Portia trapped him in an engagement with one of her daughters. And yes Lord Featherington was only courting her for her money, but it still would've been a respectable wedding.

And season 3 Cressida seemed to do well enough with Lord Debling, but he preferred Penelope. Only for Penelope to end up with Colin and Lord Debling disappeared! (and Cressida and Debling might not have had a happy marriage, but it still would been a respectable match!)

The girl spent three seasons being everyones second choice, with cruel parents offering no real support, so of course she tried to be Whistledown! Of course she tried to get just enough money to live once she found out who Whistledown really was!

I feel like some people have like zero comprehension of sub-text and it shows. I had to read that there aren’t written proofs about Robb considering Theon his best friend in the entire asoiaf saga. Not to mention people saying he showed Theon a bit of attention sporadically…

I mean, sure, it’s not written anywhere “they were best friends” and we are missing Robb POV’s chapters, but their relationship is shown enough through Bran and Cat’s POVs and neither of them is particularly warm toward Theon to start with.

Do you want proofs?

1. Theon being the person who stops Robb from punching Joffrey (Arya POV) - it implies they are close enough for Theon to understand Robb’s reactions before everyone else

2. Theon not leaving with Ned for King’s Landing when it would have been the rational choice considering that Theon was Ned’s hostage/ward + Catelyn resenting the fact that Robb listens to Theon’s advice

3. Bran wondering why Robb kept Theon around - with the entire situation which was going on at that moment, someone would have expected and understood if he just didn’t care about his father’s ward

4. Bran being jealous of the time Robb spends with Theon - I’m still behind with my asoiaf reread but it was in his tirade against Robb the Lord

5. I’m sending Theon, mother, Grey Wind come! - the only reason why he would have sent him is for Theon to go back to the Islands considering that he could have sent anyone else

6. The man I considered my closest friend took my home and killed my brothers. - I know it’s a quote from the show but it’s from back when Martin was still workin with D&D and he could have changed it but didn’t?

I really don’t know why we never got Robb’s POV especially while Cat goes to negotiate with Renly and during the battle of the Craig because it would have given more an idea of what was going on, even more than having Theon’s chapters from the beginning (which is something I’d love to read too), but I guess it’s fairly clear that Robb did care about Theon A LOT and the entire misunderstanding with Bran and the wildings was pretty much a once in a life time reaction and not something which happened often (otherwise it would have made no sense for the development of Theon’s storyline).

I made andavs as a sideblog because I was like, "psh, I'm not going to be into Teen Wolf for more than like a month, I'll just slap it all in this sideblog so my irl friends don't have to put up with it, and then delete it once I'm done because no one's going to follow me anyway!" And then I was in the Teen Wolf fandom for years and it was too late to change it.

Somewhat recently I looked into starting over as a main blog and making this an archive, but at least when I tried, tumblr had weird dashboard settings you couldn't change, and then I would have to reblog all of my art and dig out my old fics to get links and tags set up again...

I gave up immediately.

my opinion on anything watcher has long since passed being relevant but my main thoughts are

privatized streaming is always antithetical to any 'leftist' notion of universal, available services and is going to alienate their most devoted fans (international)

that being said, I also think it is one of the only survivable tools that isn't literally playing into youtube's hands, which the watcher boys have aired grievances about before

editors, camera people, directors, etc deserve fair compensation and reasonable timelines.

and from a very brief glance at view analytics, I don't think watcher is quote-unquote profitable. popular and afloat maybe, but it's not what 2018 was (nor do i think it can be), so they were probably forced to switch gears

watcher is ultimately a business. trying to hold them (esp shane) to the same standards we hold other comrades is impossible as they literally have different interests

steven is (historically) a bigger part of artistic direction than people want to believe (a lot of the behind-camera talent that leads to the high-quality aspect, for instance)

and ryan and shane are a bigger part of business than people think, being literally joint CEOs (knowing to play up and into their friendship, cutting/backburnering shows that won't turn profits)

tldr bad business decision made by people who aren't business people. which is good, because business is about extracting value, but also bad, because there's no good move here and they picked a bad one
