Tips and tricks on how to survive Danganronpa
Ok, since a lot of people liked my post about how the mastermind of V3 could've been caught I decided to make a small guide on how someone could survive Danganronpa.
So you just found yourself and 15 other students trapped in Hope's Peak Academy. Everyone seems confused on how they got in this facility and the inability of getting out of it, but as soon as everyone gatters a black and white teddybear presents itself as Monokuma and welcomes you all to the killing game.
Now that we know the setting we are in and how dangerous the situation is the first thing we have to do is stay calm and try to keep the rest of the students calm. If we act rationally and get everyone to quiet down then we might get the chance to negotiate with Monokuma and try to get him to let us out of the school. Of course, Monokuma won't let us out until there are only two students left, but for someone who wouldn't know that it would be worth the shot since the group might start viewing them as a valuable player, being brave enough to ask things like this. With everyone thinking of us as a great person we are reducing the risk of getting ourselves killed.
Monokuma starts explaining the rules and everyone feels uneasy. Once Monokuma finishes the killing game starts and the participants are left to do whatever they want.
Now before we begin with the ground rules there is something that must be clarified. The difference between a death game and a killing game: in a death game the game tries to kill you; in a killing game the participants try to kill you. With that in mind we won't be able to 100% work togheter as you would expect in a death game such as Your Turn To Die (had to make the reference because the game is gold, go play it), therefore we can get started with the ground rules:
1. Never fully trust anybody:
This game was made so that it can evaluate the psychology of each player, making the students go against each other so that they can see them reaching their breaking points and who can keep their morals under life-threatning situations.
Of course there will be betrayals, otherwise the game wouldn't be able to go on, but the best thing to do is manipulate your fellow players into murder and make them think it was THEIR OWN ideea so that the rest of the students won't try to go against you, after all, survival is the main goal.
2. If you aren't a master manipulator but a little cinnamon roll then this rule should be your ace: find people to spend your time with!
Going alone is honestly one of the dumbest decisions you could ever make (looking at you Rantaro), so the best thing to do is find someone with strong morals and become their companion, because by doing so you will have more chances of winning than going with someone whose morals are out the window (manipulators and possible murderers)or going all alone.
If you are great at mind games then the people you want to spend your time with are:
a. mentally gray people or better known as "the mood equivalent to resting bitch face"(ex. Chiaki Nanami, Himiko Yumeno)
b. physically weak people (ex. Chihiro Fujisaki, Shuichi Saihara)
c.(female presenting people only) simps (ex. Hifumi Yamada, Kazuichi Souda)
d.(people good at keeping their image clean only) gullible people (ex. Chihiro Fujisaki, Gonta Gokuhara)
3. The most important rule, the one only dum dums don't follow: respect Monokuma.
This is literally the one rule that decides it all since Monokuma is the one supervising and controlling the killing game. Defying him is like giving yourself a death sentence./srs
The most you can do in order to help everyone as a whole is buy time by either being nice to Monokuma or by "planning a murder" and having him prolongue the time you have for killing.
4. Overanalysis is key.
The mistake killing games and death games usually make is the underestimation of the players looking into things as this can give us a big adventage.
Since the rules aren't overlyconcrete about what you can't and cannot do this gives us a chance to find gaps and use them to their full extent.
As all of us know, what I like to call the most important rule goes as follows:
→"Nighttime" is from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. The dining hall and gymnasium are off-limits at night.
Since the rest of the rules don't talk about restrictions when it comes to our enviroment and Monokuma didn't add one yet that means we are being given control over property damage, giving us benefits I will talk about later.
Now that we finished with the ground rules, there are aspects that we need to keep in mind during trials:
A. as an "investigator"
B. as a blackened
A. as an "investigator"
When trying to find the blackened, rule 4 is a great strategy to make sure that we don't miss crucial details that could show us the blackened when searching.
Once we gathered enough proof and time is up we enter the trial room. The thing about trials is the fact that staying quiet the whole time is as bad as talking non-stop and getting participants in tight spots for absolutely no reason, therefore we should try and speak moderately, a bit higher than average since we have done the most investigating and people will want to know what we found. Communicating information isn't hard since we can either tell it ourselves or (if we are uncomfortable with speaking to "large" groups) we can have someone next to us give our thoughts on the topic.
The trick to this is that you need to look and sound trustworthy and never back on your word. If you seem confident and ready to take responsability then the group will most likely agree with you.
B. as a blackened
To be honest, it is almost the same as A., but the gimmick to this is that you have to be a good liar and keep a poker face for the entire trial (something that the SHSL Gambler wasn't able to do for some reason). If you are bad at lying then just speak only when you are asked about your opinions and such and try to get yourself as far as possible from the spotlight.
Since we know the trial etiquete it is time for the fun part: making use of everyone's talents.
Some of the most important have to be SHSL Mechanic and SHSL Inventor as the two of them have access to gear that could be used to get the students out of this building (ex. blow-torches, screwdrivers and wrenches etc.)
Some other useful talents could be SHSL Programmer (they can hack the cameras and have them blocked on the same imagery for an entire night that can be used by the students to get out of the school), SHSL Magician, Musician and Pianist are a few "ultimates" good for decoy as they would be able to get Monokuma and the cameras' attention, leaving the exit "without security".
During trials roles such as SHSL Anthropologist, Writing Prodogy(not Toko though, she bases her work on herself)and Fanfic Creator/Doujin Author are efficient as they are able to tell differences in behavior (as they need to have deep understanding of the human nature in order for their works to get them awarded as SHSLs, making them observing types that should pick up any changes in manners of acting).
Of course we have SHSL Detectives, Criminologists (Shuichi Saihara screams Criminologist and you cannot tell me otherwise)and Analysts(Junko used to be SHSL Analyst before becoming SHSL Despair from what I know)that are 100% putting their fullest in those trials and beating the living daylights out of the culprits.
To be honest, "ultimates" aren't the things you should mainly put your attention on but their wielder's competence (SHSL Princess is a seemingly useless role and yet Sonia was able to help a lot in Chapter 2 trial and Chapter 5 investigation with the things she learned by being a princess). Fixating on talent just gets in the way.
Now I am ending my rant because I am sure you can pinpoint the moment I started losing energy and I hope you are having a wonderful day!

anyone remember like- a really long time ago how i said i had an au idea where kokichi wrote fake love letters as fictional characters as a creative writing hobby, but then had the bad idea to write a real one to Shuichi? remember how i said i wanted to get back to it in a later post but never did?
well look at me i'm finally getting back to it.
Okay so first things first, the actual process of witting his love letter was much more difficult than he expected: where his fictional ones are well crafted to be in character with set stage pieces and character analysis behind them, this real one has absolutly none of that.
he can't character analyze himself and Shuichi and how the two of them reacting to stuff like this to craft a scripted love confession, all he has is his very real and very messy feelings to put on a page. he despises the shocking lack of control he has over the situation.
i can imagine the first few drafts he keeps trying to make it staged but it keeps feeling wrong and bad in a way he can't explain, and the more he tries the more frustrated he gets. then he finally gives in and tries just once to just dump whatever feelings come to mind on the paper. it ends up being both the best attempt yet, and the most cathartic experience he's had in a very long time.
it's extremely raw and disorganized and sloppy, so he tries to make a second version where he rewrites the dump to sound more clean and purposeful, but it makes it feel wrong again so he just takes the original and sticks it in Shuichi's locker. it's unsigned cause he decided if he was going to give something with such raw emotion in it he wasn't going to reveal himself- that's pushing it too far for his comfort. he's content with Shuichi at the very least knowing he has a secrete admirer now.
now this is where it gets fun, cause now Shuichi's got it, he can read it and see all the pretty raw emotions, and his detective brain demands he figures out who made it. it ends up being harder than he expected, seeing as Kokichi's dishonest ass isn't exactly at the top of his radar for something so heartfelt. but there is one thing that tips Shuichi off-
remember how i said it was the original heart dump he gave? as in the one where Kokichi just wrote whatever he felt till he got it all out?
now it's not his neatest work, it has mistakes and scribbles in it. but Shuichi sits right next to him in class: he's seen Kokichi's messy "in the zone" notes in his class notebook, he knows Kokichi is left handed and smears ink when he writes, he knows he uses exclusively red ink pens, he knows what his handwriting looks like. if there is nothing else about the note that helps help him solve it, the handwriting is what will
after landing this conclusion, i imagine he'd probably spend a bit of time dissecting the letter with the perspective of Kokichi being the one who wrote it in mind for a while before confronting. considering how raw and unlike Kokichi it is, he'd need some time to think about what all is going on in it. he'd eventually either run out of speculation juice, or have so much juice he needs to bring himself in and mentally yell "too theoretical" at himself. either way at that point he'd decide he'd had enough and wants the truth, so he'd spend some extra time with Kokichi trying to slowly reveal his case to him.
how smoothly that goes is very much up to debate. he wants to conform his conclusion for sure (totally not because he has a fat crush on Kokichi and really want him to the the culprit), but doesn't want to scare Kokichi off by being too upfront. unfortunately Kokichi is also keen of eye and gets sus of him pretty fast cause why tf is Shuichi suddenly spending extra time with him- not that he minds, it's just bizarre for him to do and raises some flags in Kokich's mind

Chibs Media Thread Entry #7: Kamen Rider Ryuki (2002)
Tumblr media
Lemme preface this with the note that this is only my second fully finished Tokusatsu series ever, and my very first Kamen Rider series. Read (or skip) to the end to see some of my favorite tweets from my livewatch thread. Over a month ago, one of my buddies had been posting pretty regularly about their favorite character from Ryuki and I had been considering it. They told me it had mystery elements to it given the overarching story about mysterious disappearances and the main character being a journalist, and I'm absolutely not immune to mysteries whatsoever, so that got me EVEN MORE curious about it. And then, a few weeks later, I decided to watch it.
TBH, at first I wasn't especially vibing with it, but I decided to keep going and give it the 3 episode rule. Even after 3 episodes I was only somewhat having fun, but I considered it enough to keep going because my friends REALLY REALLY liked the show and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about! I started really having fun about episode 5 or 6 (I can't really remember) and that's around the time that I started posting about it. I made my full properly official Ryuki Watch Thread at episode 7, when my Blorbo-in-Law Shuichi Kitaoka appears. By this point I was having quite a bit of fun.
I don't really need to type all of that but I just wanted to. I'm really glad I kept going and kept watching more and more episodes simply because my friends liked it and I wanted to see why, and also once I started the thread it was part to make them happy. Because once I finally started truly getting attached, I was having SO MUCH FUN. I just needed to get into the Kamen Rider formula because I was still pretty new to Toku shows in general, but EVEN MORESO new to Kamen Rider as a series. It was a whole different vibe for me and I just had to give myself time to adjust. And I'm unbelievably happy that I did. Over the course of the past month and a half I had grown more and more attached to the cast of Ryuki, both good guys and bad guys and in between, and would get so invested in their various character arcs and fights. And ALL of that culminates into today, the final episode.
The final episode is just... My buddies kept telling me that the show breaks you at SOME POINT and I joked here and there that I wanted it to break me but good lord that final episode really and truly broke me. The second to last episode already had me staggered and just feeling nothing but this sort of empty despair I didn't know the show was capable of, and just kinda in shock. The last episode was a total culmination of all of those feelings and emotions and attachments to each of the characters, both good and bad, and I don't know how to properly word it but each scene with each character slowly chips away at you until it strikes the final blow at 16 minutes in and just totally breaks you. I'm not someone who cries easy at all and I'm not joking when I say the finale of Ryuki made me cry for a solid 10 minutes straight. That's not even an exaggeration either I tweeted the very moment I started crying and when I finally calmed down and looked at how long it had been, it had been a little over 10 minutes. It just hits you in such a way and you think about all the things that had happened and all of the characters you grew to love and the tears just keep coming and coming. And then of course the ending just makes it all so much more worse. It's a bittersweet one, and its bittersweet in a way that you're happy but you're also once again totally heartbroken, while also relieved.
I'm glad I took a chance on Ryuki. I'm glad I watched it. It was a wonderfully special experience from start to finish and I'll forever have a special place in my heart for it. Granted, all media that makes me cry that hard earns a special place in my heart, but Ryuki is truly exceptionally. I don't think I'd change a single thing about the finale, even with as bittersweet as it is. A story about loss, and letting go, I think I would say is what it is. I'll never forget Shinji or Ren. Or Yui. I'm so glad I got to experience this show.
ANYWAYS. Since you've made it to the end (or skipped reading to get to this) fair warning for Spoilers Under the Cut, but here are my favorite moments from the Ryuki Watch Thread.

NAEGIRI WEEK Day 7 - Class
It’s the last winter at the academy, and neither Makoto nor Kyoko want to leave the best time of their lives behind with any regrets.
@naegiriweek
Full Story below the cut. You can also find the story on my WattPad - https://www.wattpad.com/1294292024-naegiri-week-2022-creepercraftguy-day-7-class
This was it.
Three years ago, Makoto Naegi had officially became a student of the 78th Class of Ultimate at Hope's Peak Academy, as the Ultimate Lucky Student. During this time, he had made some incredible memories.
Sure, the school certainly had some problems that it's prestige made people overlook, but he had made lifelong friends, despite everyone in his class being far more impressive than himself.
But now it was all over. He was nearing the end of his three year course and his last winter at the academy. He'd done his best to plan out his life from that point, preparing to leave the school and head out into the big world.
With so few months left in the school year, and with it being Boxing Day, Makoto was overcome with bittersweet nostalgia. He'd already done a quick scan of the school, running into many of his classmates, as well as underclassmen and upperclassmen alike. Aoi Asahina had invited him and Byakuya Togami to a late Christmas party. He'd had a hearty meal in the dining hall with Shuichi Saihara. He'd talked about his future with Tsumugi Shirogane. And now, he was just sitting by himself in the classroom, collecting his thoughts.
His life had changed so much over the past three years, he didn't know what or how he should feel. However, one thing he realized is that in his heart, he felt that something was missing...
And it wasn't until one of his classmates stepped into the room through the sliding door that he realized what it was.
The Ultimate Detective, and his fellow classmate at Hope's Peak, Kyoko Kirigiri arrived and immediately noticed him sitting down. Makoto was as surprised to see her as she was to see him.
"Oh! Kyoko! Hey!" he greeted her.
"Makoto?" she responded, "what are you doing here?"
"Well...not much to be honest...just...thinking about things," he smiled, "is something wrong?"
Makoto was one of the very few people, especially inside the school, that Kyoko was often honest with. She was usually very abrasive, and despite her willingness to participate, she was usually the quiet one of the conversation, never really chiming in with her opinion unless it mattered immensely. She was a woman with an air of mystery and many didn't understand her, but Makoto felt proud to be one of the few people she trusted to show her softer side. Kyoko grabbed a seat from a different desk and sat down opposite Makoto.
"Nothing, I just stopped by...But now that I'm here, I might as well sit with you, if you don't mind," she explained, "I've been so busy with work lately that it's hard to visit often."
"I see. You do seem pretty busy lately, Kyoko..." Makoto pondered, "You weren't here for Christmas. I thought...I honestly thought wouldn't see you until next year...If at all."
"Did that make you sad?" she smirked.
"Y-Yeah, very," Makoto blushed, "why, is that weird?"
"No...it's sweet of you." she chuckled, "to be honest, I thought that too. So what exactly were you thinking about before I arrived."
"You know what? I was pretty content with my time here, but today I felt like...something might have been missing," he said "my subconsciousness led me to the classroom and...now I know what it is. I think I was missing...You."
"Me...?" she frowned.
"I know how that sounds...And I know you're busy, but..." Makoto explained, "if there's something bothering you, you can tell me. I can help you. Maybe I won't be much help, but...I want to try."
Kyoko hesitated for a second, Makoto's words playing on her. After a brief, and honestly rather awkward, moment of silence, she responded.
"Then...tell me about yourself Makoto."
"Huh? Me? Why now?" he asked.
"I have told you stories about myself, so I think you should tell me yours now, right?" she asked.
"W-Well, I guess you're right..." Makoto stammered, "It's just...I'm so normal. I'm so normal that my story might be over real quick..."
Kyoko shook her head, "Your normal stories might be a nice change of pace for me. I don't really know how normal boys live..."
"Really?" Makoto inquired. She nodded.
"Ever since I was a child, I lived abroad. Afterward, I went to an all-girls middle school." Kyoko explained, "the only males I interacted with were other detectives or clients. Like Shuichi or my Grandfather. And as I've mentioned before, most of the interactions at my Grandfather's agency are...not so friendly."
Makoto recalled the story he had managed to coerce out of her before. Kyoko was the daughter of Hope's Peak's headmaster, Jin Kirigiri. He had been disowned by the family when Kyoko was young, and ever since, Kyoko had always been recognized as an outcast by those who worked for her Grandfather, Detective Fuhito.
"I see...Then my story might be new to you." he considered.
"And...I don't mind the story, as long as it's about you..." Kyoko smiled, "I should control my emotions better...and I shouldn't overstep my boundaries, but..."
With a smile like that, how could Makoto refuse?
They ended up chatting for a long while. Makoto gave Kyoko his backstory and then eventually started to update her on everything she had missed. He told her about Hina's get together as well, and Kyoko promised that she would go.
They also ended up talking about family. As to not cause her any discomfort, Makoto avoided talking about the headmaster for now. He started telling her about his own family and showed her some pictures.
"I see...so that girl I saw you with before was your sister." Kyoko considered, "you're her older brother...That's surprising."
"Yeah her name's Komaru. Why?" he asked.
"Given her height compared to yours, I thought she would be the older one." Kyoko stated bluntly. Makoto frowned.
"Was that an insult?"
"It wasn't intended to be one," Kyoko smirked, "also, I believe I saw a dog in one of the photos? Are you a pet person?"
"Oh, yeah, I got a picture of my dog to show to Mondo. Apparently he's really soft on them...D-Don't tell him I told you that though, he'll bend me in half..." Makoto chuckled awkwardly, "his name's Shinya. He's only a mutt but...he is pretty cute."
Makoto showed Kyoko a picture of Shinya, which she stared at for an unusually long time.
"He's very cute...!" she stated, her eyes sparkling and her face slightly blushing.
He's not the only one that looks cute... Makoto thought, but used every ounce of concentration to hold that thought in, praying Kyoko didn't read it on his face.
"He doesn't really like going out at this time of year because of how cold it is, but I recently got him this," he said, showing Kyoko another picture of Shinya, this time wearing a little doggy sweater "I got this out when I was shopping with my Mom."
"You go shopping with your mother?" Kyoko asked, "that's quite nice."
"Thanks...Usually when I admit that, people make fun of me..." Makoto giggled, "but she likes the company."
"He is very adorable," Kyoko smiled, "he's like a baby bear."
"Yeah well, you're pretty adorable too." Makoto smiled.
"Excuse me?" Kyoko flushed.
Crap...I said it...! Makoto cussed himself, oh well.
"I mean your reaction," he clarified, "I didn't think you'd be so emotionally attached to...well...Anything. Hehe..."
Despite Makoto's harmless comment, Kyoko bore a face like thunder. Realizing that he may have made a mistake, he hurried to apologize.
"I-I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to offend you!" he exclaimed, "I-I was just really happy is all!"
"N-No no, it's ok!" Kyoko shook her head, "you just...caught me off guard is all."
"Huh? With...what?" he asked.
"Is it really that weird to imagine me getting emotionally attached to things?" she diverted her eyes, "I'm...emotionally attached to you, aren't I?"
"Oh...uh...thanks..." Makoto blushed. They sat in an awkward silence, unable to make eye contact with each other.
"I also...think I'm rather emotionally attached to our schoolmates too..." she added.
"Well...that's a good thing, right?" Makoto asked, "we're all very emotionally attached to you too Kyoko."
"I'm aware," Kyoko forced a smile, "you've always been so kind and good to me, and so have the others. Hina never leaves me out, Sayaka always likes talking to me, even someone like Leon treats me as a close friend...I can't just lie and say none of you have had an impact on me, but...that's my problem."
"I don't think it's a problem! We like you! And we like hanging out with you...me especially..." he said under his breath.
"What was that last part?" she asked.
"Nothing, just talking to myself," Makoto shook his head, "my point is that despite your...coldness, if I may be so blunt, you just really, genuinely care about people. To be honest, I wish there were more people in the world like you."
"Thank you...That's nice and all but..."
Kyoko trailed off. She averted her eyes and stared down at her gloved palm, which suddenly became a clenched fist.
"Dammit!" she snapped.
"What!? What's wrong!?" Makoto began to panic. Kyoko was upset that she had alarmed him so much, so she composed herself, and decided to let the beans spill.
"I don't want to leave Hope's Peak," she admitted, "I don't want to say goodbye to everyone. I mean, sure, with my detective work, it means that I haven't been able to spend as much time with everyone as I would have liked...but...even so..."
This was an unusual moment of true honesty from Kyoko. Makoto didn't dare interrupt it.
"I attended Hope's Peak Academy with the intention of cutting all ties with my father as the Headmaster...but...I kept delaying and delaying the moment...And I think it's because I realized that...this place is where I belong," she continued, "I don't want to go back to living as a detective as part of an agency where everyone outcasts me, and there's no telling if cutting ties with Jin Kirigiri will solve the problems I face! I don't want to go back there. I want to stay here with you. And Hina, and Sayaka...Sakura, Mukuro, Leon, Mondo, Taka, Chihiro, Toko, Celeste, Hifumi, Hiro...Hell, I even want to keep hearing Byakuya's sarcastic and biting comments every day...And I even still want to keep listening to Junko ramble on about things that I could never hope to understand...!"
Kyoko buried her face in her arms.
"You're right to believe that I'm not the type to get emotionally attached...I never intended to put down roots and gain such invaluable cohorts but...I did. And now I'm more connected to everyone here than I ever was back home...Even my own Grandfather."
"Kyoko..." Makoto was unsure of what to do. Afraid it might be the wrong move, and ready to retract at any moment should she not approve, he reached out and placed his hand on top of hers. He said no words, but just used his actions to let her know that he was with her, now and forever. Kyoko raised her eyes from her arms and looked up at Makoto, who smiled a warm smile back at her, warming the air around them despite the cold winter making the classroom frigid.
"Sorry, I ranted for a bit too long there...I'm done now..." she sat up straight again, but kept her arms where they were so Makoto could keep hold of her hand. Makoto shook his head.
"Don't apologize," he said, "you should never have to apologize for the way you feel. Ever!"
"I...ok..." Kyoko nodded.
"But hey, if it makes you feel any better, I feel the same way," Makoto confessed, "oftentimes I forget that you're very busy, and that by the time we graduate, I may never see you again. And...it makes me feel a lot of shit...But mostly, it makes me glad that I met you when I did!"
Kyoko's eyes widened with surprise at hearing these touching words. With her gaze making him feel awkward, Makoto released her hand and leant back in his chair, trying to be casual.
"I mean...it also makes me want to punch something, but...that's a tad less poetic."
"Well...I think it depends on the narrative and character," Kyoko smiled, "but...regardless...thank you. For listening...I mean..."
"I will always listen to you...now and forever," Makoto assured her, "you don't have to thank me."
"But...As busy as I might be in the future, I'll be sure to try my best to stay in contact with you and...let you know how I'm doing whatever chance I get," Kyoko smiled, "same goes for the others too. I can't make any promises, but if you want me to come to whatever get-togethers we have after graduation...I'll try my absolute best."
"It's going to feel so weird without you here," Makoto thought, "who am I gonna make fun of Byakuya with?"
"Well...we ALL make fun of Byakuya, don't we?" Kyoko asked.
"Yeah, ok, that was a dumb question," Makoto laughed, and so did she, "but...you get my point."
"Yeah..." she smiled and nodded, "I understand...It was fun Makoto."
Makoto's heart was warm from hearing her be so open, but...something still didn't feel right. Something was still missing. Though he knew it wouldn't always be the case, Makoto felt that if he let the chance go by now, he'd never get it again.
So he decided it was his turn to spill his guts.
"Kyoko?" he spoke up, his face completely flushed red. Kyoko looked at him in surprise.
"Wh-What's wrong?" she asked, "are you coming down with a fever? You look very hot."
"I definitely feel hot, but...it's not because I'm unwell...I think?"
"You think?" she parroted, "what are you talking abou-"
"I just...! I don't want us to go our separate ways!" Makoto cut her off, "because...Because I think I might be in love with you!"
Time seemed to freeze in this single moment. Kyoko's face was blank as she processed his words.
"...What...?" she gasped.
"I know how that sounds...And I know what it means for you...If you accepted my confession and I became your boyfriend, then your life would change in a way you'd never be able to deal with. I get that," Makoto had already confessed, so he refused to back down now. With confidence, he continued speaking, "but...despite how much I may alter your life's course, I really hope you'll allow me the privilege! I will take whatever responsibility is thrust upon me!
Kyoko was dumbstruck, but she gathered herself together and thought of a way to respond. Eventually, she did. She laughed and smiled at him warmly.
"If you're afraid of altering my life in a way that I couldn't comprehend, then I'm afraid you've already done that..." she spoke softly.
"Haha...I guess you're right...We were literally just talking about it," Makoto laughed awkwardly, "but I'm serious. I love you, and I want you to go out with me!"
"But...relationships like this are usually equivalent exchange...aren't they?" Kyoko blushed profusely, "I don't know if my work will even allow me to make time for you. Even if you gave me everything, there's little I could give you in return."
"I'm not doing this because I want a reward or something!" Makoto exclaimed, "you've long since realized this yourself, but a relationship between two people isn't just some obligation that can be retracted or reset at any different time. Especially not a romantic one! People who show up in your life don't just disappear and leave nothing behind. I won't, we won't, and you won't. And I'd like to keep my raindrop for as long as possible!"
Makoto cupped both of Kyoko's gloved hands.
"I don't need you to balance the books. I get that you would be busy, but I just want to be with you whenever I can. You don't have time? That's ok! I'll MAKE time! And I'll make you a life that you can enjoy! I'll give you anything and everything I can to make sure you live in a way that you're HAPPY with...So please...let me be a part of your future."
Kyoko was stunned. This kind of behavior from someone like Makoto, who was typically a wet blanket, was fascinating. Truth be told, Kyoko had felt a similar way towards him, but due to not being well attuned to her emotions early on in her academy days.
Kyoko responded as such. She got to her feet and walked around to the other side of the desk. She reached out a hand and pulled Makoto to his, making them level with each other.
"Are you absolutely sure?" Kyoko asked, "I'm hardly the best girlfriend material amongst our classmates, and I can be tiresome to deal with."
"Like I said already, I don't care if you can't always make time, or if you're tiresome," Makoto smiled, "I could even say that your astute nature to your work is something to be proud of."
This was all she needed to hear. Kyoko, still red in the face, breathed a huge sigh. She took a small step forward and rested her head on Makoto's shoulder, who wrapped his arm around her.
"Alright..." she responded quietly "you're mine...and I'm yours..."

There’s no place in the world that he would rather be than right here, right now sitting next to you. The autumn wind was finally making it’s rounds and chilling the city in the process. His favorite part of autumn and winter was the part when he could bask in your warmth. He used to hate this time of the year until you came long and offered him your all. Now he looks forward with open arms at the thought of colder weather making you cuddle him. Just like right now...
His eyes lost focus on the screen long ago as he was now focused on you instead. He watched you in adoration while you kept focus on the screen in front of you. He admired the way the light illuminated off the reflection in your eyes, and the way you smiled every time the show cracked some lose joke. He loved the way you curled into him and readjusted yourself when he moved even for just a bit. He was attached at the hip with you and he wouldn’t have it any other way. “Staring at me again weirdo?” You teased him, bringing him from his thoughts. “Huh? Oh! Uh...yeah sorry about that.” He admitted sheepishly and you giggled. “It’s alright haha. I’m just sad you missed so much of the show since it was your turn to pick tonight. Do you want me to start it over for you?” You asked him but he shook his head. “No it’s alright. Just keep going. I’ll pay attention this time, I swear.” You squinted your eyes in speculation before laughing a bit. “now we both know that’s not true in the least bit. What’s on your mind Shuichi? It’s the only reason you could be staring at me like this after all.” He hesitated for a moment before answering you. “I just love you is all. I’ve been thinking about how things have been since you walked into my life and all. I feel like sometimes I just don’t deserve you is all. It feels like home when you’re with me. You make me feel like a stupid little kid sometimes because I just can’t help but to get all giddy and weird around you. I just love you so much.” You smiled and quickly pulled him into a passionate kiss. He swore he could just get lost in those lips so it was always a good thing when you pulled away for a breath of air. When you looked at him you always held such pure adoration in those eyes of yours, no matter what. You never made him feel like he was an outcast and most importantly was that you never made him feel like he didn’t have your all.
Tones shifted in the moment when you looked him over and smiled in a familiar way. The same way you always smiled before trying something naughty on him. He rarely needed to initiate with you around. It looks like this was one of those times he realized when you pulled him into yet another kiss. This time you ran your tongue along his bottom lip before nibbling at him. Your hands wandered to the hem of his pants while your tongues wrestled for dominance. He knew by now you would notice his red cheeks but he also knew you wouldn’t judge him for it. It was easy to feel flustered when you did things like this after all. You’d managed to untie his sweatpants laces and work your hand into his pants before grasping at his member and working in fluid motion. He felt like he was unravelling right beneath your touch, melting into the couch cushions while you did unspeakable things to him. “You’re driving me crazy~” He managed to get some words out when you stopped kissing him. “Oh am I? Well I’m about to drive you crazier then.” Before he could even question you, you’d dove down to your knees and pulled his cock from the cover of his pants. He shivered a bit at the feel of the chilled air on him. You used your free hand’s thumb to swipe away the precum before licking it from your finger right in front of him. He wanted to hide himself away when he heard the feeble whimper escape his very on lips. ‘how embarrassing’ he thought to himself, but he wouldn’t be focusing on it long. You made sure of that when you started servicing him the way you did. It felt good but it was only a small bit of what was getting him off. What really made him feel close to the edge was the face you were making at him. Something somewhere between lewd and love? Even when doing filthy things to him you still managed to make him feel loved. After a while he finally opened himself up and began moaning, whimpering, begging for you to keep going...to not stop please. Your name rolled off his tongue like it was the only thing he knew how to say. “Nngh Y/N stop ugh, I’m going-I!” He reached down and tried to shove your head from him but you refused the motion, persisting with it all and working him over to the finish line. You smiled at your handiwork while he was busy trying to cover his face with his arms. It did no good for the way he was groaning though. You’d let him come down from it but as you went to walk away he grabbed your wrist and stared intently, determination burning in those eyes of his.
“Where are you going? It’s my turn now...”

I think Amashinsai is the perfect polyamorous couple! 🧢🥑🐍
I wanted to use this text for a blog about DR-pairings, but guess I can't wait its recovery… 😅 So, let’s do it the old-fashioned way~
Tumblr media
A small template to make your eyes feel good! Again, the drawings belong to my bestie who was also drawing the yokai!Shinsai art… and yeah, she’s still embarrassed to run a full-fledged blog – so believe me, I wouldn’t post that without permission ❣ the paragraph about "who confessed first and who waited" I will explain in a separate post.
speaking of yokai!universe… I put out the second part not so long ago – please appreciate it 😣🙏
Srry, back to the main topic o/
As a joke, I call them the "equilateral triangle," because it turns out that every single pair in it (I mean Shinsai, Amaguji and Amasai) will either not work in the long term, or this relationship doesn’t start at all.
Let us imagine that there was no killing game, and the identities of our favorite characters were not invented by the Danganronpa team. I.e. we will use the same Universe as we saw in UDP (Ultimate Development Plan) or DRS.
In the case of Amaguji, I think the ground for this relationship is very good. Rantaro is safficiently friendly, confident and patient enough to:
give Kiyo the understanding and attention he so needs [Amami is almost the only one who says that Kiyo only needs to get to know a little bit better – and then you will understand him]
to tell Korekiyo that all this time his sister poisoned his life and, accordingly, to "cure" him of the trauma she inflicted ['cause he knows firsthand what real siblings are supposed to be].
BUT! Amaguji has problems in the long run because Kiyo is not active enough. I mean, from the FTE with Rantaro, we understand that this guy has serious trust issues. He is afraid of being useless, keeps all his experiences away from others, but also wants to be believed in him… And you’re either sticking to that boundaries, or trying to make it clear that he DOESN'T HAVE TO DO EVERYTHING ALONE. Unfortunately, most likely, Korekiyo would have chosen the first tactic. Which means that soon Rantaro might just have to suffer from having to drag it all by himself.
⟢──────⟨ ⟡ ⟩──────⟢
With Shinsai, considering Kiyo’s "sis problem", things are even more complicated. Shuichi is also able to give Kiyo an understanding (at least in all the events we know he’s interested in everything that makes up Korekiyo’s personality and I think our antropologist are moved by his attention), but he lacks the courage and perseverance to break through Shinguji’s barriers. Moreover, Saihara himself has a number of traumas and complexes. He needs a huge amount of care and support… Which Kiyo as you can understand from his even slightly arrogant behavior (because he puts himself as a teacher in front of Shuichi) is hardly able to give. With all my limitless love for these two, I understand that if they had fallen in love with each other, they would have waited a looong time to admit these feelings (plus, let’s take into account the fact that Korekiyo has a distorted concept of healthy romance). So we conclude that their relationship needs a "push side", or else it won’t even start.
⟢──────⟨ ⟡ ⟩──────⟢
With these two examples, Amasai seems much more harmonious :'D At least I don’t see any problems with the combination of temperaments – in all events our boys got along fine. Shuichi even had the perseverance to "solve" Rantaro. He was the first person who did not condemn him for his endless search, but promised to help. However, I suppose that a certain amount of tension would still exist between them. At least in their line of work. I like to imagine how a righteous Detective-Shuichi often grumbles at an Adventurer-Rantaro who either constantly puts himself in danger or gets involved in some dirty, extra-legal stuff😂 [more about it here]
⟢──────⟨ ⟡ ⟩──────⟢
So at least in the first two cases, a third person seems necessary! In a more concise form, I would describe it as: Shuichi – balance for Amaguji, Rantaro – "leverage" for Shinsai, Shinguji – heart of Amasai. At least I’m 100% sure that in a healthy relationship, Kiyo would be the main source and "personification of love", because now he knows what that feeling really should be. And well, he’s also pretty passionate, kehehe :>
And yes, of course I don't rule out the possibility of platonic intervention by one of them in a certain couple. Rantaro can simply be a friend to Shinsai, Kiyo to Amasai, and Shuichi to Amaguji (and I’ll tell you more, at first, in my "kinda Amashinsai Universe", it was just like the last variant)… But I really, really BELIEVE in the potential of a full-fledged polygamous couple – and I came here to share it with all the fd !!!
So… Dear Amashinsai nation, I wait 🛐

here’s part two of my ch2 liveblog! motive video time :0
-there being actual interviews with the student’s loved ones is v cool and i’m forever mad it only happens in kaito’s video!!
-”y-yeah! why gonta get tsumugi’s video-” y’know, i really do wonder what was in that.
-”don’t get the wrong idea. i’m not saying we shouldn’t care about killing or dying...but i think it’d be better if we didn’t cooperate with each other...actually, we *definitely* shouldn’t cooperate with each other!” “we shouldn’t cooperate? why not!?” “think back to all of monokuma’s actions so far. whenever we tried to work together, monokuma would retaliate with a plan to make us suffer. it happened when kaede wanted us to cooperate, and again with these motive videos, right? which means, the more we try to cooperate, the more he’ll try to make us suffer.” god i really forgot how often early game kokichi just. Explains Things. he is shockingly honest in some of these scenes.
-even MORE interestingly, we get a little insight into why shuichi is kind of just...ignoring kokichi’s warnings: [it’s *because* we’re trying to cooperate that monokuma is making us suffer...? but what about...everything we went through..? what was the point of kaede sacrificing herself...?] deep down, i think he knows kokichi is right about monokuma. but he’s already made a promise! the reason he doesn’t pull away from the group like kokichi is because of kaede’s wish. he has a responsibility to make her death *mean* something - he feels like he killed her, after all.
-they did one of kirumi’s FTEs! the most important things i took from it are a) shuichi and kirumi have an absolutely terrible dynamic where shuichi tries to get kirumi to take care of herself, kirumi firmly refuses, and shuichi just...wilts under the pressure and lets her keep going, and b) shuichi said he prefers tea over coffee, i fucking told u so.
-they did one of miu’s next and just. just fuckigf look at this dialogue: “i call this baby the “hookup counter”! it counts how many people you’ve fucked! or how many have fucked you!” “d-don’t point that at me!” “too late! let’s see the result, shall we? HAH-HAHAHA! no fuckin’ way! you kiddin’ me!?” [what did it say? what did it say!?] SHUICHI WHY DON’T YOU KNOW. DON’T JUST MOVE ON TO THE UNDERWEAR TELEPORTER I HAVE QUESTIONS GODAMNIT!!!
-ok we got to the bit where shuichi says “...i wouldn’t eat that greasy food even if they threatened to kill me.” and u know what? He’s Right. i completely forgot how much mayonnaise was on that kimchi, absolutely horrific.
-kaito smacking the doorbell one billion times remains iconic.
-”what are you doing up at this hour?” “nyeeeh...well, just thinking. but it’s pretty late now. hmm, i think i’ll sleep well tonight. if i knew it’d be like this...i woulda had her undo my brainwashing a long time ago.” hey just for the record if anyone tells you everyone is brainwashed except for them and their group: Run.
-it’s clear you’re meant to laugh at shuichi here, but fifty push-ups is actually pretty impressive!? i can barely manage one......
-”when i look at you...i can’t help but feel frustrated. i ask myself...is the one kaede entrusted her wish to really this weak?” and here we see the beginning of kaito’s jealousy toward shuchi! it’s such an important part of his arc, and it frustrates me that so few people talk about it beyond his blowup in ch4. he admired kaede, and deep down he’s pissed that she chose shuichi to carry her wish instead of him, because *he’s* supposed to be the hero! he cares about shuichi, sure, but i think a lot of the sidekick bit is more about him wanting to feel like a savior. he’s big-hearted, but also has a strong tendency toward self-centeredness. he’s a lot like kokichi in that way.
-kaito is already “slacking” during the first training session, so he probably has the disease already. i wonder if he had it through ch1, or if it’s more recent?
-[i worked out for the first time in a long while...] so he did use to work out! if i had to guess, i’d say he probably stopped during his depressive episode after the murder case,,,still, it makes him reaching fifty push-ups make more sense.
-that’s the end of day seven! i’ll see you guys next time :]

Hi!! Do you have any DR post-game headcanons?? Or backstory headcanons? Or food preferences headcanons? Headcanons in general???
omg okay. so like. my whole thing is that i really really hope that it was a simulation that they werent just ai or that this was all real like i really desperately want to believe that when shuichi maki and himiko got out they woke up and found out they were just. in a simulation. and they merge the two realities they were living into one and we get everyone like. Together. and theyre ALLOWED to be happy although traumatised. and this goes for all the games like i dont want to believe that the canon that is presented is meant to be taken super literally. v3 makes me want to believe that they were ALL simulations it was all just for tv and why would they kill actual kids for tv and not have real ass people be like "thats so fucked up Why Are You Doing This" because thats the one part of it all that my suspension of disbelief will not allow me to go and that seems like something everyone else can agree on. theres no way parents would just let their kids go on a show where they could get MURDERED BRUTALLY. and then have that death TELEVISED. and thats like my main one and its really a popular fandom one but i just. I need this. To feel okay
other headcanons...my favourite one is that when shuichi is deep in thought, he makes a concentrated face and puts his fist under his chin. i love having kokichi and kaito be brothers. i like thinking theyre found family and that sure they hated each other for a while but they found comfort in each other and that should continue on in every universe. they should be allowed to be brothers. i also like to think that shuichi and kokichi are two people that just completely run on no sleep like so often that its worrying. this is consistent no matter what reality they are living in. kaito has a hero complex and i think that one is just canon but i havent engaged in the material recently enough to say...i have only been referring back to my notes on characterisation from the last time i did a character analysis...i should really fix that i need a refresher i cannot just Live Like This who am i if i dont have a proper handle on who these fucking people are
i have thoughts on sakura. she doesnt have that gravelly voice that they give her in the game she like fully has a deep voice but its still feminine and gorgeous and sure it has some growl but it just feels like. they tried to make her sound like a Man. you know? and im not a big fan idk thats just my thoughts on that. chihiro is a girl in stem and she was actually trans and thats my headcanon that i think was controversial like 3 years ago. it might still be controversial idk idc
i know this is not something you asked about but i keep thinking about it because of kokichi and kaito but its just. aughghguthhghj;orwisjkh NO ONE UNDERSTANDS HOW TORTURED I AM ABOUT THEM so much of that fucking game is dramatic foils SO MUCH and always ALWAYS people love the dramatic foils BECAUSE OF COURSE THEY DO like OF COURSE people would love oumota now im not particularly a fan of shipping them but idc if other people do but for my purposes im talking about them as like found family as like brothers because thats how I see them just . i keep thinking about the die young animatic even though that is BLATANT shipping it just reminds me how bad it hurts kokichi hated the killing game as much as everyone else (besides tsumugi of course) and no one believed it and kaito had to work with him in his final moments and kokichi was under so much stress and was panicking so bad over everything because who could just be COMPLETELY TOTALLY NORMAL about DYING that he just let it slip that yeah he HATED this shit he wants to END this his plan the whole time was to END THIS and the only person he trusted was shuichi and he was going to die and he was so young and he had to die either way he had to die and kaito had to help him die and im sure kaito never saw himself in that position he never thought he would be the one killing but he WAS because he HAD TO because he HAD TO SAVE MAKI he HAD TO KEEP HIS FRIEND SAFE but kokichi was also sort of in a way his friend that night and kaito was the only friend kokichi had that night and even after all of this people STILL were like outside of it looking in like I will never know Kokichi. AND ISN'T THAT JUST TRAGIC? no one even fucking knew him because he couldn't be honest out of pure fear and terror and a need to protect himself and that was ALL he was thinking about was am i safe and am i by doing this attempting to stop the killing game. he always knew it was going to go that way. and that is so tragic. and kaito had to be the one to carry it out and it didnt even fucking work it didnt even end the killing game. but at least kaito went to space. at least kaito went to space, somehow. and monokuma didnt even get to kill him. i just wonder if kaito in some way did find a way to like kokichi. i wonder if knowing that kokichi was always and forever hating the killing game no matter what he said gave him comfort and helped him forgive him. surely they had time to have a moment like. i dont know if i can forgive you but i would like to try. surely. i like to believe it. kokichi was understood for like the briefest of moments and kaito saw him as he was and then he was dead. i hope that brought him comfort. and this is mostly why i want to believe that its a simulation broadcast as drama television. like surely kokichi wasnt understood for a few hours and then killed for a plan that failed. kokichi gets to live a life outside the killing game and got to see kaito and later shuichi and everyone else and everyone got to see the show while they were waiting for everyone else to come out of the game and maybe they understood each other a little more and maybe they felt bad for each other after thinking about it for a few weeks like. maybe we didnt deserve to be put through that. maybe being put in that kind of situation brings the worst out of people and we just saw the worst of each other because we had to find some ways to survive. i HOPE. SOOOO fucking badly. for MY SAKE....

enjoyable lovely long-run
Tumblr media
One day I felt a strong urge, decided to continue reading Meitantei Conan manga which I last read, probably, more than 15 years ago, and it was one of best decisions I did last year. Meitantei Conan was the first long manga I enjoy following but was left behind when things in life happened. I also stopped following the movie, those years I didn't update any manga/anime. Few years ago, I somehow watched several movies (21st-24th), but couldn't really feel them because I didn't know how the story progressed, who are these characters. Maybe, that strong urge to read from what I left long years ago appeared because I'm interested in Akai Shuichi and wondering why this Zero seems so popular 笑 I enjoy reading it a lot~! Many lovable likable characters, slow lovely development in their relationships, (slowly) getting closer with the main villain, black organization. I started reading it from around chapter 420 (don't really remember) continuously everyday till I reached recent chapter at that time, chapter 1102. I can't follow its anime but soon after I read latest chapter, I watched all movies and rewatched some (which has Akai or/and Zero). I listen to some of movies theme songs pretty often. I'm glad that I still enjoy my 'childhood' manga a lot now ;v;
Characters who make me excited much more when they appear~ (trying to pick top 3 favorites)
Akai Shuichi 赤井秀一
Tumblr media
I just, like him a lot!! I can't even elaborate why but pretty sure I like him the most in Conan 笑 He is very kakkoii~~! I also like watching his interaction with his younger brother, Shukichi. I know it's unlikely to happen but I still kind of hope, a tiny hope, that I can see more of Shuichi and Hidemi (Hondou Hidemi/Mizunashi Rena). I'm not sure why I kind of shipping them? I somehow like her and I wonder why I have this curiosity (wish?) to see them as a pair >//<
Tumblr media
Furuya Rei/Amuro Toru 降谷零/安室透
Tumblr media
It took me a bit longer to like Zero (I like Akai Shuichi in a heartbeat 笑), the more I know, the more I read/watch about him, the more I like him~! >_< I enjoyed reading Wild Police Story (love them 5 together ;_;) and Zero no Nichijou surely makes me adore him more~ I love reading/watching when he is with Azusa~!! (Yes, I'm shipping them, a lot)
Tumblr media
Takagi Wataru 高木渉
Tumblr media
Yasashii~! Gentle and adorable, I like him the most among all polices~ I like reading stories with him as main focus and I feel more excited when he's the one who come to cases. He wholeheartedly protects others, and his self-sacrificing trait ;_;
(soft spot)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Morofushi Hiromitsu 諸伏景光
I really like watching them together, when I heard their voices at the very end of 24th movie I shrieked. Hagiwara Kenji, Matsuda Jinpei, Morofushi Hiromitsu, Date Wataru, four of them are all heartbreaking but my heart shattered more with Hiro ;_;
~favorite ships/couple~
Sato Miwako & Takagi Wataru
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love this couple the most in Conan!! >///< They are so adorable and heartwarming~
Kudo Shinichi & Mouri Ran
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This very sweet couple!! They're so lovely to watch <3
Hattori Heiji & Toyama Kazuha
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They're so cute!! >w< As I'm writing this they are not "officially" a couple yet, hopefully we can see their /successful/ confession soon 笑 I laugh often watching them, excited to see how they are when they (finally) are dating!
~
Friendship/camaraderie, romance, funny moments, heartbreaking memories, trust, misunderstandings, various characters and stories make reading Meitantei Conan have been an enjoyable ride. I wish I can read its ending when I'm still breathing ; ;

salutations, i’ve got a bucket full of V3 redesigns for you all!
this is for a “rewrite” fic, technically, and i thought it’d be more fun to give the character designs my personal touches, since i’m gonna be doing the same with my writing
little bullet point reasonings on each of the designs below the cut
ouma: - i didnt really change too much of his design, but i wanted to give it less of a “straitjacket” look and decided to go for a wispy, mysterious look. his scarf now doubles as a hood, which is loosely inspired by his cape in his official art - i gave him a bang to cover half his face, because i just like how it looks on him lmao, imo it gives him sort of a sneaky, “intentionally being the creepy kid” look
himiko: - ill be honest, her redesign was just me having fun. i dont mind her canon design too much, but i did wanna give her the air of not only a performer, but a girl who seriously doesnt care about social conventions (autism) so she wears her cape and her little witch dress around everywhere bc she loves it - i gave her more teal on her design, since APPARENTLY thats what v3 has decided is himiko’s main color? teal, not red? so i gave her a healthy mix of both
kaito: - he’s wearing a JAXA jumpsuit that is modified into his signature magenta color, but he’s an idiot so he’s wrapped the top half around his waist so he can wear his little... bomber-style jacket, since aerodynamics and all that - i made his hair.... more normal, because i really hate drawing kaito’s stupid spiky hair! now he has a little headband flattening his wild hair
shuichi: - his design in canon, while... nice, it’s very plain. so i kept the general look and feel of the canon uniform but adding some touches that feel personal to shuichi, like the turtleneck with sleeves that cover his palms. it gives him a more reclusive look, somebody who prefers being in their comfort zone
kaede: - she’s the first one i started with, so she ended up being a bit of a “basis” for the rest of the designs, considering how different my design is from her canon one. personally, dislike the skintight sweater vest, it doesnt look comfortable NOR does it suit kaede’s personality (imo) so i decided to give her an outfit that makes her look loose, carefree, but still naive and inexperienced. - ponytail, i just think kaede would prefer as well, her canon design has such a round hair shape and it looks silly if i focus on her silhouette too much. shes like a bobblehead
maki: - HOLY SHIT, maki i had a good time redesigning, since i harbor nothing but disdain for how she looks in canon. her stupid edgy red/black seifuku with thigh highs and mile long hair just was too much for me to bear. - i gave her an outfit that seems serious, but still cutesy and nonthreatening. i took her red/black palette and turned up the warmness a bit so she has more browns and maroons that give the impression she’s warmer than she acts like she is - her pigtails are much shorter as well-- i cant decide if theyre clip-ons or her real hair, but at least theyre shorter. honestly, i know she’s supposed to be the ~wooby tragic backstory sexy anime girl~, but her mile long pigtails wouldve gotten her ass yoinked from behind and killed long ago. so i chopped them. also, she’s got a handgun tucked in the back of her pants, hidden by her sweater’s bagginess. no more lame knives for you maki, you get a gun
korekiyo: - just like with himiko’s design, i was mostly just having fun with korekiyos redesign. i like his canon design, but i wanted to try my hand at giving him a much more androgynous look. it ties well into the whole sister thing, anyway... - the flowers depicted on his clothing are crudely drawn i admit, but theyre intended to be white lilies, which represent a few things: renewal of the soul, a common funeral flower, commitment and rebirth - i also figured, if im gonna give more girls pants, i should give at least one of the male characters a skirt, and korekiyo is beautiful and i wanted to draw him in drapey clothing.
miu: - and best for last is miu iruma! man, i HATE her canon design, seriously, what a lazy design! they just slapped bondage gear over a pink seifuku and were done with it! dont even get me started on her long, loose and wild hair that would be an utter nightmare for people who work with machines. i decided to keep her wild and long hair, but packed it all in a thick braid, because it ended up looking surprisingly good for her. besides, she’d probably make some innuendo about it being the “perfect to use as a reign from behind” or something lmao - i also changed her pink seifuku into a frilly, steampunk-styled shirt with the straps and gear on top to kind of... hold it into a specific shape. - we were ROBBED of miu with cute overalls in one of her beta designs, so i gave them back. i rly kinda kept in mind the mindset of “if i was miu iruma, what would *I* personally choose from my wardrobe to feel attractive and powerful?” - i wanted to give her a toolbelt, but thought it would look a little cluttered on the design. but she likely uses one regularly

Dating Shuichi Headcanons
Tumblr media
A/N: So I wrote this once a few days ago, but it got erased. Hopefully this one suffices!
Danganronpa V3 Masterlist ↳ here
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬
Dating Shuichi would include:
he would so supportive of you
and he will forever be your side
especially if the world is against you
this boy is so loyal
he gets really shy and flustered when you give affection
but also when he wants affection/attention
please give him all love he deserves
he loves to hold your hand
he would ask to touch you or kiss you in the beginning
you've told him multiple times that he doesn't have to ask
you trust him completely
he feels smug when only he can make your cheeks red like this
he will become a kissing menace just to see your reaction
he would get used your teasing and use it against you
when he first tells you that he loved you, he was so nervous
he would over think it
and it would just slip out of his mouth unexpectedly
but he wouldn't regret it
he loves to hold you
you seem to fit perfectly in his arms
your warmth is comforting
he would do what he could to protect you
he definately worried about you a lot
he calls you sweetheart, love and babe
he might call you baby when he's needy or tired
his overthinking and worry gets the best of him some times
and there's moments where he wonders if he's enough for you
would you be happier with someone?
why did you choose him?
hold him when he's like this
he needs some tender loving care
he needs to be told how much you love and care for him in these moments
he loves you more than anything
just you being by his side means absolutely everything to him

A/N: I haven’t done this in a long time, so it’s kinda ehhh, but I really love this idea and I’m glad I got the motivation to write about it. Enjoy! Also, what’s up Spinner fuckers? Haven’t seen y’all in a hot moment.
Summary: Your husband, Shuichi, comes home with aching pains all over his body and with a harsh demeanor. The evening heats up once Spinner’s aches reach his groin; he can’t help but need to satiate himself using his lovely wife.
Warnings: Smut (18+), dubcon, marriage, sex pollen/sex quirk, light aggression, double penetration, lots of cum, and a bit ooc Spinner
Word Count: 1.8k
Masterlist
You hear the front door click open as you finish putting away folded laundry in the master bedroom.
“Spinner? C’mere, love!” You call out to the front of your apartment. You hear his boots and bag hit the wood flooring at the entrance before his footsteps approach you. “How have you been? I can’t believe it's been 2 weeks,” you smile and stride up to him as he reaches your bedroom doorway.
“Honestly, not well, honey.” Spinner rubs his hand across the back of his neck attempting to relieve tension. He smirks at you anyway, “But, seeing you makes it better.”
Placing a kiss on his cheek, you feel an unexpected warmth lingering on your lips once you depart. You shoo away the thought of the strange temperature of your reptilian husband's skin and focus on his response. “What’s wrong? Did you get injured while with Tomura?” You sit on the edge of the bed.
“There’s just so much—ah, fuck,” he begins to pull off his work clothes; his vest, pants, and scarves all end up laying in a pile next to you. “My muscles have never given me this much pain before.” You watch him stand before you in nothing but his underwear that clings tight to his front. While Spinner twists and stretches out his back, you gaze at a sight you haven’t seen in a while.
His strong Adonis’ belt creates a perfect trail for your eyes to follow down to his hard package. Looking even lower, the legs of his underwear are hiked up a bit above his large thigh muscles. You can’t help but want to reach out a hand to feel his scales under your fingertips like you could weeks ago.
Spinner has recently been out of town for weeks at a time doing who knows what; sometimes you’re afraid to ask. So, as newlyweds, you feel his absence has taken a toll on your relationship, especially, in the physical department. Your husband’s high libido used to keep you up for hours into the night when the League of Villains was based nearby. Now, you hope that when he returns home he’ll have enough energy to lift you into his lap to watch movies on the couch.
However, the prominent bulge in his briefs gives you hope for tonight.
“Are you gonna touch me or what?” Shuichi hisses while towering over you.
“Wha—?” The sudden change in his tone startles you a bit, so you push yourself back on the bed giving space between you two.
“The second I get back from being away from my gorgeous wife,” he reaches out to wrap his hand around your ankle to pull you back to him, “and you can’t even jump at the chance to please me?”
Sorry? “It's just that I haven't seen you, and those, like this in a while.” Spinner has always been so sweet to you even in an argument, so his harsh tone worries you. Yet, you can’t help feeling turned on by this change. “What’s gotten into you, Spinner?”
His chest rises and falls quickly; his pecs seem to be more bulged and swollen than normal.
“The fact that you’re not already on your hands and knees for your husband,” he growls. “Lift up your hips.”
You do as you're told. His claws scratch your sides and your shorts and underwear are ripped from your body in one go. Figuring he won’t give any mercy to your top, you decide to prop yourself up to pull it over your head. The garments are thrown to the floor and you’re left there laying completely vulnerable.
He dips down to leave over your figure. His pointed tongue rolls out of his mouth and a drop of drool falls from the tip; it pools on your chest before rolling down your stomach making you shiver.
“Finally, I can use you,” he hisses. He smacks the side of your thigh, signaling you to follow his orders completely. You roll over and take the stance he craves. Your arms are bent on the mattress, and your knees are spread enough to give him the arch in your back he usually loves so much. “Yeah, yeah, just like that…”
Spinner pulls down the front of his briefs to let his heavy cocks fling out. You listen to the familiar clicking of his hand wrapped around both shafts at once to properly slick them up before entering you. But, he didn’t use lube did he?
“Ah—,“ you gasp. He rubs himself up and down your slit; his thick pre cum coats the insides of your thighs and it drips to the white sheets beneath you. Your heart beats fast in your chest as two conflicting thoughts fight each other in your mind. On one hand, you’re afraid of what unexpected things he might do to you. On the other, you want him to try something new. It’s pretty tiring to get your shy husband to let himself go.
“Hssst,” Spinner breathes in quickly through his teeth as he begins pressing into you without warning. “Fuck,” he moans. Even without seeing his face you know his tonight has fallen out of his mouth again by feeling the warm drool on your back.
“T-too much, baby” you whine. With your lips in an “o” shape, you breathe heavily through his relentless pushing. The duvet beneath you gets pulled into your fists. “Please, slow, slow, slow,” you cry.
“Fuck,” he groans. A final shove let’s his cocks glide against your walls to bottom out.
“Shuichi—,” you yell out his name but his first full thrust makes your breath catch in your throat.
His hands keep steady on your hips to keep them in place as his thrusts relentlessly into your fluttering pussy. “You’re not getting away until I get what I need.” Spinner readjusts his angle by lifting a leg up to the right of you. His new kneeling position makes you scream into the mattress. He so, so deep. Every thrust of his hips sends his cocks to punch into the back of your inner walls. Your hands fly to your mouth and your eyelids clench down at this immense pleasure.
“Make me cum, please,” you muffle out from your hands covering your mouth in hopes to conceal your screams from your next door neighbors.
“Tch.”
“Ah, ah, ahh,” you pant as your eyes roll back. You feel yourself clench around him before a stream of liquid releases from deep inside of you. You coat his pair of cocks in your own cum.
“Shuichii,” your voice diminishes to a whimper as you feel yourself get full with his hot, thick cum. You clench your pussy and feel some drip out and down the inner part of your thigh. He doesn’t pull out yet though, so you shiver against him as his cum cools down rolling down your leg.
“Y/N…,” you hear Spinner’s voice lighten up. He pulls his still hard cocks out of you and watches his second load drools from your stretched-out cunt.
“Honey?”
“I’m so sorry for treating you so badly,” he cries out. A bit of his usual personality has returned since you’ve satiated him partially.
“I know, I know,” you say lovingly. His pink hair comes into view as he leans over you. You’re ready for his sensitive conscience to drive him to apologize to you profusely for the next week. You gasp when he enters you again.
“M-my apologies, dear,” he presses his snout roughly against your ear. The rumble of his voice sends shivers down the back of your neck and your pussy clenches around his appendages tightly in response. The tip of his dicks massages the furthest part of your cunny as he pumps himself quickly, barely pulling out before pushing back in. “I-I don't know-ow — what’s wrong with me, love.”
He lightly wraps his hand on your neck and pulls your head to the side to kiss you passionately on the lips.
“Please—,” you manage to squeak out in between thrusts. “Please, please, baby, slow d—,” your cheek gets pushed into the plush duvet before you can finish.
“Ah—!,” he throws his head back. “I’m so, so sorry!”
“Keep going, I missed this, Spinner,” you pant. Your backside stings as his nails dig into the flesh of your waist. His strong hands pull your lower half against his groin repeatedly. the squelching sound of his thick precum rubbing the inside of your walls plays in tandem with the smack of your thighs against his.
“Haah... uugh... aaah,” Spinner’s sounds toss between grunts and whimpers with every thrust.
You figure that his main goal is to get off; this is either because he’s so pent up from not having pleased himself, it’s just an effect of his quirk, or... “Baby, ahh,” you moan trying to start your sentence. “Did y-you fight anyone today? Hnng.” Your eyes roll back into your head but you try to pay attention to his next words closely.
“Yeah, yeah, shit!” He pants heavily. “Some shithead tried to mess with me on my way home to you baby.” Suddenly he pulls both of himself out of you, giving your exhausted body a break for a moment. “Flip over, now,” he commands.
You playfully roll your eyes while rolling onto your back. As you spread your legs, his warm liquid drips from you in loads right onto the freshly cleaned bedding.
Without any warning, he pushes your thighs back towards your chest and presses himself into your weeping pussy. “Spinnerrr,” you moan.
“You take me so well. Now, please make me cum, again,” his dark eyes pierce into yours. His face holds both domineering and desperate expressions.
“The guy who fucked with you earlier must have had a quirk to make you need to have sex,” You say out loud. You’ve heard stories of this sort of thing happening before, but you never thought it would happen to your husband. By instinct, you wrap your arms around his thighs to prepare for his deep strokes.
“Dammit,” he hisses. “I guess it’s not so bad, now,” he grins while rocking his hips into you. “But, there’s no way I’m stopping any time soon. This quirk’s effect lasts for hours. And, I don’t want to stop.” He blushes so hard you see a roses tint creep under his green scales under his eyes. “I planned to make love to you once I got home, by the way. Even without the effects of this quirk.”
“Yeah, yeah, just keep going, babe,” you tease.

warnings: mentions of death/dying (obviously), general angst
*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚:*✧・゚:
Shuichi Saihara
— to say the least, Shuichi is a little shaken up now that he’s gone and you’re... well, not.
— he always told you he’d stay by your side forever, and he feels guilty. he feels like he broke a promise
— but... you talk to him again that first night. you say his name and look straight at him. can you see him? no, it couldn’t be... right?
— of course, once he puts all the pieces together, it all makes sense
— you’re the ultimate spirit medium, for goodness sakes! of course you can see him and speak to him the same way you would any other living person
— after a while, Shuichi stops feeling so guilty for leaving you. partially because it doesn’t feel quite like he’s abandoned you, and also because you reassure him that he didn’t do anything wrong by dying
— i mean, come on, it’s not his fault he got killed! how could you ever hold that against him?
— still, it takes him some time to come to terms with everything.
— though he loves you, he still finds it sad that he can never speak to anyone else ever again. at least, not without your aid.
— but as long as he has you by his side to help him cope... he knows he’ll be alright
— after all, he loves you, and you love him. and that’s enough to give him the strength he needs to keep from falling apart.
Rantaro Amami
— he's still very protective of you, despite the fact he’s merely a spirit now
— he’s always right by your side, no matter what.
— even when you aren’t able to take a moment to talk to him, or even look in his direction, Rantaro is right there
— if he were still alive, the way he now follows you around all the time may seem obsessive and creepy, but you actually appreciate it
— nobody else can see or speak to him but you, which makes his constant presence comforting, in a way
— Rantaro isn’t able to touch you in the same way he could when he was alive, but nonetheless, he still tries
— he’ll try to place his hand atop yours, or wrap his arms around your figure, but he always just passes straight through you
— you find the chill that blossoms on your skin where he touched you comforting; it’s a reminder that even though he’s gone, he’s still there with you
— it breaks his heart that he can’t truly be with you, but he tries not to focus on his own problems too much
— after all, your happiness is much more important to him than his own; you are his priority
— you’ll have to remind him that it’s okay for him to be sad, and that he shouldn’t bottle up his own emotions to be there for you
— he’ll want to keep being the person to take care of you, and watch out for you, but he needs you to be that person for him
Kokichi Ouma
— you didn’t really think Kokichi would start behaving himself just because he’s dead, did you?
— honestly he uses the fact only you can see and speak to him to his advantage
— good luck trying to keep your cool around other people while he’s off being a clown right in front of you
— but of course, he’s not all fun and games
— i mean... he’s dead. and that sucks
— he probably won’t show it, at least not right away, but he doesn’t like the feeling of separation between you two
— sure, he’s still around, but not like before. before, he could surprise you with a kiss or a suffocating hug, but he just can’t do that anymore
— it hurts. really bad.
— but he knows he’ll be okay. he know’s he’ll get used to it someday, as long as he has you with him to cheer him up when he gets especially sad
— you’re his sunshine, and he may not show it, but he needs you. so don’t leave him all alone, okay?
Gonta Gokuhara
— lets be honest... Gonta has the hardest time of the bunch adjusting to being nothing more than a spirit
— you’ll likely have to give him a lot of comfort. he’s confused, and he misses being able to be with you for real :(
— the hardest part for him is no longer being able to touch you
— he longs to feel your lips press gently against his cheek, to lay in your lap as your hands comb through his hair... he’d give anything to hold you in his arms again...
— unlike Rantaro, he’s not content with merely passing through your body when he makes contact with you
— it just... upsets him. it’s a cruel reminder that his life ended, and that he will never get to hold you, kiss you, and just love you the way he could before his life ended
— be patient with him, please... he’ll adapt eventually... but it could take a while
— just make sure to remind him how much you love him, he’ll need a lot of reassurance and comfort from you
Kaito Momota
— surprisingly, Kaito adapts to the situation pretty well
— if he is struggling with any sort of major emotions, he’s doing a stellar job of hiding it from you. and you hate that
— you don’t totally believe him when he says he’s okay, or when he tells you not to worry about him
— you know him better than that. it doesn’t make sense to you. he just died for crying out loud! he can never follow his dreams, never have the future he always wanted with you
— and you don’t understand how he can just shrug all that off and continue being your boyfriend like normal
— you confront him about it one night. he’s laying on his back, hovering beside you as you read (Kaito loves being able to float around in midair. perks of being a ghost, right?)
— "how can you be okay?" you blurt out suddenly. he looks at you, confused.
— you continue, asking all the questions that had been gnawing at you for days, and when you finally finish, he just laughs
— "of course i’m upset. but it’s a man’s job to protect the ones he loves! and being there for you is much more important than staying upset about this." he explains
— you can’t help but feel a little stupid. he’d always put you first, always prioritized your needs over anyone else’s, even his own. and he wasn’t about to stop just because he died
— fortunately for you, he isn’t upset with you sort of asking him why the hell he wasn’t a huge, depressed mess.
— in fact, he thinks it’s really sweet that, despite the fact you should be worried about yourself so you don’t end up joining him in the afterlife, you spent your energy fussing over him
Korekiyo Shinguji
— with Kiyo, not much changes. at least, not on his end.
— he’s very fascinated by the mere notion of being a spirit and has the time of his life unlife getting used to his new body
— at first you’re happy for him. i mean, it’s good that he’s not struggling, right? shouldn’t you want him to feel okay? you wouldn’t want him to suffer in sadness like you, right?
— but he’s so enthralled with his new state of being he... almost forgets to check up on you
— and even when he does spend time with you, it almost feels like all he does is talk about himself and the new things he’s discovered about being a spirit
— it’s frustrating, to say the least. you know you didn’t truly lose him, but it feels like you did
— when you finally tell him that you feel like he’s changed, he’s confused
— when Kiyo hears you say how much you miss him, how you feel like he’s so different now, he’s kinda just like ???????
— how could he be different? it’s still him, don’t you know that?
— after a long night of reflecting while you sleep (not needing rest is one of the many perks of being a spirit), Kiyo realizes what he’s been doing wrong
— you used to love when he’d talk to you endlessly about his work, his research, etc.
— but now, when he’d ramble on for hours about new things he’d learned thanks to being a mere spirit, it was just another painful reminder to you that he was dead. that he was gone.
— the moment he gets a chance, he apologizes to you. it’s a bit of an emotional moment for both of you, being the first time either of you have confronted the end of Kiyo’s life head on
— he tries to hold you, but all you feel is an icy chill where his flesh would have met yours, but oddly enough... it doesn’t make you feel worse
— you’d anticipated another tsunami of your own tears after Kiyo’s body passed through yours, but it’s comforting, albeit in a morbid way
— he’s gone, but you haven’t lost him. and you’ll never lose him; he’ll remind you of that every day if he has to
Ryoma Hoshi
— man, if you thought ryoma’s attitude and general outlook on life was depressing before, you’ve got a big storm coming
— for a long time after his death, he’s very... cold. to everyone and everything
— he’s upset. but not because he’s dead, but because he can’t protect you anymore
— being there for you, to defend you and keep you safe, had become his raison d’être, so to speak
— he knows you can still see him and talk to him. he’s not stupid. but he pretends he doesn’t hear you at first. part of him thinks that if he shuts you out long enough, you’ll come to your senses and realize you should be upset with him
— but you never do. despite what he thinks he deserves, you never turn on him, never give up on him, never stop loving him
— with time, he’ll come around and start learning to cope with his own death, and the fact you outlived him
— and you’ll be there with him every step of the way (whether he likes it or not)

Korekiyo, Kaito and Gundham cuddling headcannons
Korekiyo Shinguji:
·       You groaned hearing a knock at the door. You opted to stay in bed. Upon hearing that seemingly incessant knocking again you threw yourself off the bed and trudged to the door. “What is it?” You didn’t care that the sheer bitterness seeped into your tone, you just wanted this encounter to be over with. “Ah, I apologize Y/N, but you have not been answering your phone, nor had anyone seen you leave your dorm room. You have not even showed up to class or your lab, so I thought I’d check up on you.” “Kiyo! I’m sorry, I didn’t realize.” Now you so regretted using that spiteful tone. Though his lips were covered by that mask you could see a smile in his eyes. “It’s quite alright. You are in some trouble I presume?” You were silent for a moment before a sigh escape you. You seemed to deflate and just looked exhausted. You took a step back, allowing the man into your room.
·       Kiyo never actively seeked out cuddles, but he was more than willing to accept them. Platonic, or romantic, didn’t matter, to him cuddles were cuddles and should someone want to do so with him, it was like an honor. For you and Kiyo it became a sort of routine that should the other be having a bad day, they would come to the other in their dorm room and cuddle on the bed.
·       Kiyo did not have any positions he preferred, he simply followed your lead and did whatever you wanted. That day in particular you hugged him tight, his back pressed against you as you buried your face into it. He didn’t say a word, he simply reached a hand back, gently patting your head and with his other hand held one of yours. After a few minuets you began to slowly vent your ever-piling list of frustrations that seemed to somehow grow larger and larger even just staying in your room. How you wanted to avoid snapping at anyone or to avoid your day getting worse, but… that didn’t seem to pan out.
·       On some other day as you were heading to the library, Kokichi ran passed you laughing like a mad man carrying something, moments later Korekiyo ran past you as well. After you finished your work, you shot Kiyo a quick text asking where he was. When the only response you got was ‘dorm room’. You knew you were nowhere fast or clever enough to catch Kokichi so the least you could do was comfort Kiyo after. You rested your head on his chest and Kiyo held you ever so tightly, muttering to himself about perhaps asking Miu to make a new security system again to try to keep Kokichi from stealing any more items.
·       For Kiyo, cuddling with a friend or loved one was the ultimate stress relief. Holding close someone he cared for swept his worries away. He simply loved it and enjoyed knowing he could bring you and others the same comfort through that same action.
   Kaito Momota:
·       “Alright! It’s cuddling time!” You, Maki, and Shuichi all looked to the Luminary of the stars in confusion. “No.” Maki then stood up from the table you all had been doing your homework on as if she were going to leave. “Kaito, I… Why?” It appeared Shuichi wanted to say more but was taken so aback by the question he couldn’t bring himself to say more. “Yeah Kaito. I don’t get this either.” He smirked. Making his way around the table he stood between you and Shuichi, draping his arms over your shoulders, pulling the pair of you close as he looked to you two before his gaze landed on Maki. “Team building! Cuddling and physical contact in general are great ways of communication and increases bonds among friend and teammates like us! Cuddling also lowers blood pressure and is proven to relieve stress and pain. And it just feels good!”
·       And that was how Kaito made sure he cuddled with the three of you at least once a week.
·       He’d gleefully go to your dorm, and if you didn’t seem to be doing much or were over working yourself he’d tell you it was time for your weekly cuddle session before dragging you to the bed. If you declined, he would back off.
·       Kaito always insisted he be the big spoon or that you rest against him, cradling your head in his lap or resting yourself against his chest, things like that. Even if you tried reversing roles Kaito would refuse saying he much preferred this positioning. However, on one particularly long, exhausting day you and Kaito flopped on his bed. You slowly stirred from your slumber, a warm feeling blooming in your chest seeing the stars and galaxy that was dimly projected onto the walls and ceiling. Hugging Kaito a little tighter you realized your positioning. You were the big spoon! You also noticed something else. Sitting up a little you saw how Kaito was grinning from ear to ear, he even nuzzled into you a little when you slightly shifted. His eyes fluttered open as he looked over his shoulder. Then he abruptly sat up. “Good, you’re awake! Feeling rested?” A soft, light shade of pink dusted his cheeks. You tried hiding it, but it was so difficult to hold back your devilish smile, and giddy laughter. So Kaito Momota did in fact like being the little spoon, loving it in fact.
·       You and Shuichi were winded after a rigorous evening of training, nagging Kaito to finish his curl-ups as Maki simply watched having finished long ago. When he got us for the last curl, you wrapped your arms around him. “Cuddle time!” You dragged him forward, back to the ground, face first now. With a hand on the back of his head you rested his head against your chest. Shuichi and Maki tackled Kaito, hugging both he and you from the sides. “Yes! Good on you for taking the lead my sidekicks, but Y/N let’s switch-” “Nope!” No matter what he said none of you were letting Kaito go. Reluctantly he gave in, wanting to encourage this new tenacity in the three of you. He blushed and sighed accepting his fate. He liked this, he really did, but felt much too embarrassed to admit it much to his chagrin. What made this even better was the fact all four of you were under the cover of stars, watching as they slowly drifted by. It was simply lovely… Kaito decided the four of you should have cuddle sessions after training more often.
   Gundham Tanaka:
·       You and the Dark Lord of Ice had been best friend for years. It was a long and slow process befriending one another, but in the end you two now had a companion closer to you than any other. In your time together you learned so much about animals and other creatures of all sorts. You sat side by side on the couch in his apartment, you mindlessly scrolling through your phone as Gundham fed his Generals some treats. “Hmm… Hey, Gundham?” “You have my attention.” You scooched over to him and held out your phone. There was a picture of some otters hugging one another. You then scrolled more, finding other picture of cats, dogs, even swans and many more embracing each other. “Staged, or real?” “… Those are all true moments of affection.” You placed your phone into your pocket. Once you did one of the Devas hopped into your lap, demanding pats to which you happily gave. “… All creatures, unless solidary creatures, crave companionship and affection, even from other species, right?” “Certainly. But it’s not only that. Showing affection speaks of the same sentiment as sleeping near another. It shows you have the utmost trust in the other to allow yourself to be in such a vulnerable position around them.”
·       “… Are you touched starved?” Gundham flinched, caught off guard by the question. “Because your skin is poison to the touch except by your companion creatures do you get enough affection?” It was only recently had Gundham started allowing some small touches on the skin. Sure you could touch his bandaged or clothed parts of him just fine before, but skin to skin contact is so vastly different, to Gundham at least. “I know you say you’re only temporarily mortal but, you’re still human now, and humans are highly social creatures. And one such way of communication is touch.” “… That is indeed true.” “Hey, place your feet on the couch.” You scooched back, giving him room. Though confused, he trusted you and did as told. You also placed your feet up, interlocking your legs. “Though clothed, this is bigger contact than accidently grazing hands.”
·       Slowly but surely you and Gundham got more acclimated to bigger touches. It first started with things that weren’t really too claustrophobic, like laying on the ground with your backs pressed against one another or laying your head in one another’s lap.
·       One day as Gundham exited the shower he realized the shirt he had set aside to wear had a stain on it that needed to be washed right away should he hope to save it. Only in a pair of shorts he made his way to his room to get something else. That was till he spotted you. You were laying on the ground, surrounded by a few pillows acting as a makeshift barrier, keeping the Generals penned, though if they truly wanted too they could have easily escaped. You simply played with them, luring them about with some treats you had made for them. In that moment… nostalgia hit him like an ocean wave against cliffs. He recalled how the two of you met. Funny to think back then he had no idea that chance meeting was going to change his life forever. You had been through hell and back with him, standing by one another’s side no matter what life threw you way. “Hmm? You want something Gundham?” He hadn’t realized it, but while lost in thought he had walked up to you… You truly were one of his greatest companions… His best friend. He kneeled down beside you and you assumed to greet and play with his Generals, so you didn’t think much of it. What did surprise you was how he so stiffly laid down, resting his head atop your chest. He even moved your arm out of the way as to not lay atop it, and hesitantly he draped it over himself. You were so shocked and in a state of disbelief you didn’t notice that slowly his eyes drooped closed as he fell asleep.
·       It was rarer, but he’d go to you for cuddles when he was ready. But after each cuddle he’d come back for more sooner. At first it was months till he sought out cuddles, then eventually weeks, then soon he’d come to you every few days or so seeking out the affection. Neither of you ever spoke during these times. Gundham would simply lean his head against your chest or his back against your stomach. He’d never say it, but he felt being the little spoon was a more vulnerable position to be in and… even if he’d feel more comfortable in some other position, he wanted to be as vulnerable as he could to show you he trusted you. Action speaks louder than words, and he deeply, truly wanted you to understand that fact, not just hear him say it.

akai shuichi headcanons
shuichi wears a beanie all the time because he's self conscious about hir hairline .... and I mean who can blame him? id be too
shuichi saw gin when he was visiting Japan in the 10 years ago flashback and was like ooh long hair is cool AND it'll piss ka-san off flash forward 5 years later when shuichi infiltrates the BO and is like fUck cool long hair dude is a psycho
shuichi cut his hair off when he heard akemi was killed by gin he kinda went into the whole mental breakdown mode and was like fuck this shit because he started growing his hair out cuz of gin and also akemi really liked his long hair
shuichi used to be a band kid when he lived in England and wanted to pursue a career in music (much to the chagrin of Mary) but after tsutomu disappeared he was like fuck that and stopped playing until he entered the BO
shuichi has a really bad memory about things that dont have to do anything with his job kinda like BBC's Sherlock but not as bad
shuichi used to find dead bodies when he was a kid just like shinichi but it wasn't as often maybe like a dead body once a year or something
shuichi named himself dai because that's what Mary actually wanted to name him when she was giving birth she was screaming die die die and tsutomu wasn't there yet so she was like aight die sounds like the japanese name dai the only reason shuichi wasn't named that was that tsutomu burst in and was like FUCK NO
shuichi was picked on when training for the FBI since compared to 6 foot jock white men shuichi was a 5 foot 7 asian with long hair and dressed like a teenage girl who frequented Starbucks in the toxic environment of the FBI for anyone who doesnt fit the mold shuichi had it cut out for him
shuichi showed signs of multiple mental illnesses but they were all difficult to pin down so he was never diagnosed with anything since he refused to talk at the FBI mandated therapy sessions
shuichi's type is someone who is kind but could wield a gun
he used to dislike kids but being around them as okiya has made SOME kids special in his heart
before tsutomu's disspeareance he taught shuichi how to hunt with a shotgun
shuichi lived off of sports drinks and bars whenever he was single since he couldn't rely on take out due to it being unhealthy which wouldn't help his FBI styled life
shuichi taught akemi simple self defense techniques but refuses to teach her how to shoot a gun saying he didn't want her hands to get dirty
shuichi and shukichi blackmail each other for favors by using the "ill tell ka-san you did that one thing that you blamed dad for when we were kids if u dont help me out"
scotch once told him that bourbon's type was a white milf (in reference to Elena who was white and was a mother) so shuichi was scared as fuck when rei met Mary's adult self for the first time
shuichi hates being compared to his mother but the truth is they're the most similar and they both started mimicking tsutomu after his disappearance
the only thing shuichi knew how to cook before meeting yukiko was plain white rice as that was the only thing tsutomu was able to teach him
shuichi mimics an American accent while talking in America or talking in English unless he's talking to his family or he's mentally shook up and his British accent slips out
he thinks in British accented English as well (idc if the animanga shows him thinking in japanese it makes no sense that western raised people like Jodie and camel think in japanese) but he does use some japanese like ka-san and when he's trying to get deep into his okiya persona
he tries very hard to keep the polite speech patterns of okiya Subaru since as akai shuichi he's very .. rude
shuichi's sniper skills were so good the fbi was willing to overlook his disrespect of authority and his tendency to do everything by himself without consulting everyone
shuichi slips into a British accent around James if he's feeling really comfortable
he felt bad about using shiho since she was only a year older than masumi and she hadn't done anything wrong so he vowed to get her and akemi out of the BO
he had a plan to get akemi and shiho out by convincing the higher ups to grant them immunity if they testified but akemi's death derailed the entire thing
he hates to admit it but his family is the most important thing to him he may not contact them that often but he's going to such lengths to bring his father back because he cares for his family so much
shuichi didnt really know what he wanted to do with his life once he took down his father's pursuers but after akemi and scotch he decided that if he solved his father's disappearance first he'd hunt down the BO next tho once learning that Haneda Koji’s death had something to do with the BO he's back at the thing where he doesn't know what to do with his life without revenge
he promised shukichi that he'd be the one to solve shukichi's death if what happened to Haneda kohji also happens to shukichi
he isn't a fan of dates in amusement parks but if it makes his partner happy and smile he'll have fun
dating Jodie was a quiet thing most likely from an attachment maybe due to a bad case or a loss of a mutual friend depending on the agency they might have been legally allowed to date each other but it is usually looked down upon I dont think they went out together often probably spending time together at home ... doing stuff
he identifies as bisexual it was normal to him in childhood since both Mary and tsutomu talked about their past relationships to their children he never told anyone due to the fact it would affect his FBI status since it was illegal in America shukichi and Mary know he's bi but shuichi has no idea Mary knows
akemi and shuichi would take strolls in parks go shopping and go to cafes
he's very self conscious about his height and whenever he goes to Japan it makes him feel good about himself since he's relatively tall there
Mary was the one who drilled japanese into his head not tsutomu
the last time shuichi talked to Mary was when he called her up to tell her to take masumi and leave Japan for Britain after masumi cornered him and scotch him and Mary had a whole argument and after that they stopped talking to each other, not that they talked to each other much in the first place
shuichi learned jee kun do by watching training videos from vhs tapes/cds/YouTube depending on when you consider detco taking place I personally believe conan shrinks in 2018 meaning that tsutomu disappeared in 2001 and shuichi used a mixture of tapes and cds to learn
shuichi can read people really well but has a hard time manipulating people by being nice he can use people by being a jackass very well but trying to be a normal person is hard for him
Yukiko and yusaku remind shuichi of his parents before tsutomu disappeared but like more upbeat
shuichi dislikes full body hugs
akemi and shiho were both anime and romance drama fans so he knows random things about the shows and uses that info to connect with the DB and especially haibara
he considered himself British first and foremost but when asked about whether he considers himself white or asian he'll always go with asian
he started smoking soon after his father disappeared since his father used to smoke and he needed to cope but didn't wanna fall into drugs like cocaine
smoking is heavily looked down upon in America and is seen as unprofessional which helped shuichi go undercover a bunch due to him being a heavy smoker
akemi would make him stop smoking around her and shiho saying that second hand smoking was dangerous and that shuichi who was smoking constantly was going to get lung cancer but he would tell her that he just couldn't stop smoking he did stop smoking around shiho and akemi tho going outside to do it instead
as okiya it makes him go wild because he desperately needs to smoke to cope but okiya cant smoke it doesnt fit his image so he smokes a shit ton at night during his nightly drives
shuichi forced himself not to smoke during his time visiting Japan when he met masumi because he knew Mary would get even more upset with him
shuichi was terrible driving American styled cars and he got so upset that he perfected his drive-in techiuque over the years just to spite the instructor that said he was barely passing
he likes to go on late night drives and speed on the high way because he's a thrill seeking idiot
he has no social media but he created on as okiya Subaru to keep an eye on haibara's higo stan account
he takes offense to the idea that he's stalking haibara he's just p r o t e c t i n g her
he wants shiho to be happy more than anything so he's an avid coai shipper and is exhausted in Conan's obliviousness
shuichi didnt tell shukichi he wasn't actually dead shukichi just walked up to okiya Subaru one day and was like shuuichi-ni-san right? shuichi has long stopped questioning shukichi's weird ways of knowing shit he shouldn't know
shuichi is a sherlockian but he's not like shinichi or hakuba in that he does not hate BBC's Sherlock and actually enjoys it a bit
one upside to shuichi living in America is that he gets to hoard guns because he's obsessed with them he thinks they're really cool it's like conan with Sherlock he starts yapping his mouth of about them
bourbon once dangled a gun on in front of a sleeping shuichi cuz he didnt believe scotch when he said that rye was obsessed with guns and started saying incorrect shit about the type of gun he was holding and shuichi just shot up and started berating him
shuichi hates that chianti is a killer because she's the only person who's as much as a gun fanatic as he is
he tends to steal Jodie's car a lot
he likes fucking with peoples heads it's very fun to him to watch them get all worked up
shuichi hasn't mourned his father yet because he doesnt believe his father’s dead
deep down he blames his father for his mother going slightly bonkers
he didnt want masumi to be a detective at first but now hes proud of her
he drinks a lot as okiya Subaru since he cant smoke as much
he's willing to go to hell if it means he can rip gin from limp to limp
he really hates gin yall I dont think I can convey how much he hates gin

Some thoughts about Maki's character and her potential:
Under the cut for length:
Maki and Shuichi have such a forced dynamic it's unreal.
Like most of the time Maki is blunt, cold, and insults him kind of a lot, but then Shuichi will slide in a remark about Kaito and suddenly they're best friends. The switch is so bizarre to me and it almost feels unnatural in a way. I'm also a little surprised that Shuichi still considers Maki to be his friend when they don't really connect outside of Kaito-related things and she near-constantly insults his intelligence and skills.
However, despite this strange dynamic, I almost wish there had been more of it. Maki's apathy, while harsh, could've lead to some actual development for Shuichi because she's one of the only ones who points out his flaws without brushing them off. Those moments don't lead to anything in the narrative –likely to make room for Kaito to "help" Shuichi instead– but there were a few times where it felt like Shuichi could've really reflected on himself (if given the opportunity by the writers) because of Maki.
This is part of the reason why I really think that Maki could have made a really good antagonist– or at the very least, I would have loved to see her make an actual impact on the story instead of being Kaito's designated prop character, because she really did have the potential. But no, alas, she's been held back and nerfed instead.
I wanna make it clear that I don't think that Maki's potential was ruined soley by Kaito, because that kind of sounds like that's what I'm implying, but I'm not. Kaito did affect a lot of her character in a negative way, but honestly she was held back just as much by the writers. She was never allowed to impact the story outside of her designated role, which didn't afford her much of a chance to really shine or hold any significance to the narrative as it should of considering she was literally one of only THREE (3!) survivors.
I would also like to add that Maki's agency as a character that can impact the narrative is continually stripped down and undermined by having her every action dictated by whether or not Kaito approves. The writers treat Maki like a child looking to their parents for approval rather than an independent person (that literally just met Kaito like what a few days ago?) with her own views and desires and it's depressing to see her go from a lonely but still independent person to a watered-down hangers on that can only do things if they revolve around Kaito in some way. It's to the point that I'd be surprised she was able to go to the bathroom without raising her hand and asking Kaito for permission first.
Despite every trait and every bit of potential she had as a character, the only things that were focused on by the narrative were her past and her crush so she could be Kaito's fixer-upper, which I believe was a bit of a waste in all honesty. Personally, I think she aided the story more before she developed rather than after, and I'm a bit bitter about it. Sure, she was mean, (and still is honestly) but a character doesn't have to be nice in order to be good, y'know?
Maki was better-suited to the narrative before she met Kaito, and that's partly Kaito's fault for influencing her and partly the writers' fault for not realizing the amount of potential she had in areas outside of Kaito. The lack of narrative impact is a sign that they only saw her as Kaito's love interest and prop, rather than a character who could have really shined if the focus had been shifted away from Kaito trying to fix her and more towards the girl herself.
Maki, even though her development was heartwarming, was ruined by her character arc. It's not a bad thing that she opened up more, but if that's the only time she has the spotlight on her, if that's the only thing they'll let shine, then I would rather have her stay the way she was during Chapter 1.
Finding a good balance between her straight-forward, no-fucks-given personality and her newfound compassion for others would have been the way to go, because both benefit her character in different ways, but if I could only choose one I would pick no development because that would have more narrative benefits. Her place in the story could've been more defined and prominent in either case, just please god focus on more things than a trauma she never truly recovers from and a crush that only served to make her inconsistent because they both go absolutely nowhere.
TL;DR?
I believe that if Maki had been a sort of antagonistic-support character focused on pointing out the flaws and inconsistencies in other characters, causing them to reflect and change for the better, she would have shined so much more than she was able to in canon because she would have been able to impact the other characters and add to the logical side of the "emotions vs logic" struggle which is a core source of tension for the story.
Fuck whoever had the idea to attach her to Kaito instead.
