Sleep Token Wembley Bingo

As promised, here it is: the Wembley Bingo cards of your predictions on what might go down at Wembley. Once again, thank you @fivewholeminutes for the og post!!

There are two versions, Red and Blue. They have the same predictions, but arranged in different ways. Just save the card you want and play along on Saturday! I may or may not have a ~prize~ for whoever completes a bingo.

A lot of the predictions were very similar, so I just combined them to save space. There are a few that have been left off, either because they already happened or for some other reason, and others that make sense for them to still be there - better explanations under the cut (because I don't want to spam anyone's dash):

Predictions that have already come true and have thus been cut off:

TMBTE (song) live debut

New masks/gold motifs for the Vesselettes

Vesselettes being aloud to move/dance

Unmasking (the double mask - I was already thinking of leaving this one out to avoid any possible conflict, so I'm using the Great Unmasking of ii and iv as an excuse)

Predictions that have already come true but are still on the card:

Aqua Regia mix-up - it happened once already BUT it could still happen or not on Wembley, so I'm leaving it, because funny

Better/Bigger stage production - we got the super cool LED logo and amazing lights, but it's still very much possible for Wembley to have something extra/different

Predictions that I have cut off:

Unmasking/Identity reveal (see above)

Siam/Cleo cameo - for logistic reasons and for the snakeys well-being, I think it's safe to assume they won't be present (even though I'd love to see that 🐍)

Ritual starting on time - again, logistics are hard to control and late starts are pretty common. I figured this one was innocuous enough to leave out

iii screaming with a microphone - we don't know if he will be able to be present at all so, this one had to leave. I want you to have a change of getting a bingo!

Live official recording of the show (for a dvd or replay) - Adam Ross has stated a few weeks ago that the band does not wish to have a professional recording of their Rituals, and so an official pro-recording is a bit impossible

Previous tour props, like hats, etc - if we go by the German Rituals, they don't really bring anything over so, very very unlikely to happen

It will be a normal show - while I agree that there's a small chance Wembley will be just another regular ritual, there are a few extra special things that are bound to happen anyways, so in truth, it will never be a truly normal show. (also I needed to cut off one more 😬)

If any of these does end up becoming true, I am contractually obliged to grant you three wishes, so come find me afterwards.

Predictions that have been combined:

New masks/ new paints/ gold motifs/ new costumes - it all falls under the new/upgraded costume slot (although I kept Vessel and the guys separate)

Dancers /silent performances / theatrical elements

Pyrotechnics / Setting things on fire

Fields of Elation/ Sugar/ Telomeres/ The Apparition/ more songs in general - these were the ones most predicted to comeback/debut, so I combined them in the old songs/debut slot

Euclid/TNDNBTG - most people said it would start with The Night and end with Euclid, although I have seen a few variations in order. I kept the most common one, but it's game if on reverse

(Euclid appeared too many times, so that song has a special slot - just as TMBTE album played in full)

Stage props/ Background videos / Bigger lighting

Hozier being present; a Collad or a Cover

Remember, this is all in good fun! Some of these are super silly and fun, others are very likely to happen. What matters is that we all have a bit of fun while emotionally recovering form the London show (because we all know it'll be incredibly emotional!)

While the InuKagMor reunion posts flooding my dashboard actually give me joy, I have quite a few criticisms about how the scene was written and quite a few concerns, frankly, about the content that I'll see on this site starting next week.

I honestly hate writing posts like this. HnY isn't canon. I haven't been following it for ages. But, alas, the new content involving my OTP of OTPs has dragged me down a rabbit hole once again.

With all of that having been said, if you still enjoy HnY, I advise that you skip this post. While I genuinely don't intend to insult anyone involved in its production and its fans, I acknowledge that it's still not fun to come across criticism of something you enjoy. I am not open for debate, and any disrespectful behavior in response to this post will immediately earn a block and report. Consider yourselves warned.

Rant & musings under the cut

Kagome's glare and tone of voice when confirming whether the girl standing before her was Moroha made me uncomfortable. I can’t help but feel like they could’ve directed that part differently. On top of that, adding the cliche comedy routine of one person nervously backing away and stuttering in response to someone else seeming angry just seemed out of place. It totally belied the gravity that is expected of a scene like this.

I just know that they'll be relying on running gags from the OG series, and the very notion of it is already making me tired. While I don't mind Inuyasha and Moroha butting heads - Actually, I think it'd be kind of cute, if done properly. - I have a sinking feeling that it'll be overdone, and I wouldn't be surprised if we get some tasteless slapstick comedy out of it. As much as it disgusts me to type this, I wouldn't be surprised if they show their bickering escalating to the point where Inuyasha bonks Moroha in the head for overstepping boundaries - all for the sake of comic effect. And, naturally, it'd be followed by a good old-fashioned osuwari command to tie everything in a neat, little bow. (Before anyone gets on my case for this, I'm well aware that there is no guarantee that this will happen, but the fourth film, which was also a creation of the team behind this series, unfortunately provides precedent for this type of behavior. Also, see my next point.)

While the reunion is heartwarming overall, Inuyasha's behavior thus far strikes me as OOC. His reaction to Moroha's arrival seems to be more similar to the kind of nonchalance, for lack of a better word, he'd display in the OG series. Similarly, the screenshots of him awkwardly blushing because he doesn't know what to say to his own daughter just don't sit right with me. While these kinds of interactions are admittedly more up Kagome's alley, he'd matured significantly by the end of the OG series. When you consider that many years have passed since this point of growth, it doesn't seem consistent with his character arc. I can allow some awkwardness, but it just doesn't make sense for it to manifest in this manner and to this extent.

I still don't see how Inuyasha and Kagome couldn't find a way out of the black pearl for 14 years. It's a horribly contrived disservice to their characters. That's all I have to say and can say about this mess.

Other random thoughts:

If Kagome uses the osuwari command, especially in front of Moroha, I'll fucking riot. It doesn't even have to be in the kind of situation that I mentioned above. No matter what the reason, if they resort to this gag, it'd be tired and inappropriate.

I truly hope we'll get a scene of Inuyasha and Kagome completely obliterating Jyūbei in retaliation for everything he put their daughter through. After this point, my only investment in this series is whether we get a moment like this.

If I'm correct in assuming that Kagome is watching something on a smartphone in the screenshots from next week's episode, then she'd better start asking enough questions to figure out how her family fit into all of this and inquire into their healths. Similarly, it'd only be natural for her to bring up her own adventures as a teenager and begin some sort of discussion about time travel. I'm not expecting much, given the show's track record, but it's the bare minimum. Also, lbr, it'd totally be a missed opportunity for pure comedy gold if they don't find a way to reveal that Moroha maxed out Souta's credit card.

This is kind of an abrupt end, but there's nothing else that comes to mind right now. See you guys later when the next set of spoilers whip me up into another verbal frenzy, I guess? ^^;

I don’t know much about mutism (I guess really anything to be honest) and I don’t want to be insensitive… but I’m wondering, for the things we cannot say, does Feyre laugh? Or does she make any noises like in surprise?

I’ve been loving this story so much, it’s been my comfort fic

*edit to add, please let me know if there are ways I can better improve how I represent Feyre and her mutism/signing. I still have a long way to go on being accurate. I hope I am still able to show compassion and understanding with this fic/these thoughts.

Hey! thanks for asking and I'm so glad you enjoy this fic!

I've done a little bit of research for this fic (and my og novel) and still have some things to work out. So...lets see if my thoughts make sense...Also, I apologize in advanced. Once I started thinking and writing about this, I just kept going. So...long post alert. my bad.

For the purposes of this fic--Feyre is selectively mute. She'd originally been able to speak and then at her mother's death, she stopped. I don't think I've gone into it exclusively in the fic yet, but the entire situation was just so traumatic for her being so young and then her father not taking the time to understand how the death affected Feyre so much. Some sources that I looked in on say this happens while rooted in anxiety. And generally only persists when they are in this high anxiety situation while being able to open up to close friends and family. From my own understanding of trauma and what trauma does to a person, it seemed reasonable to me that she would just stop talking in general. And then I realized I needed to do more research for this fic and my novel to more accurately portray what some people go through.

At times it feels like I've embellished a little too much? Most of the sources I've looked at say that this typically only persists in children around 5-10 yos. When untreated it can persist, so I think it's reasonable that she still can't speak, but almost not. Idk. I wish I knew people who are selectively mute or mute in general...but I'm trying my best with research, lol.

But for this fic, Feyre had never felt safe. Not even with her sisters. And while I've tried to give them a decent enough relationship, I wanted to also reflect themes of ACOTAR of how isolated Feyre is in the human lands (and even with Tamlin) until she meets Rhys and comes into herself in the Night Court. So, I wanted to bring a little of that out to.

From what I've interpreted with what I've looked at, it's that no sound or noise comes out only in these situations of high stress. So, yes, she can make some noises and grunts--there is no trauma to her vocal cords/genetic reasoning that she can't--it's the anxiety and stress and trauma that has kept her from speaking. It's the trauma that keeps her from speaking in other situations. I'm wanting to explore this a little more and what feyre can and can't do. And I'll decide how best to approach this--and maybe, maybe, she'll speak again? It'll be a long journey whatever I choose to do with it.

Unlike in my og book, where it's magically based muteness, and I feel like there's a little more freedom and more to make up for the not speaking--so I am a little worried that some of that unrealistic-ness is bleeding in and TTWCS is giving an unfair representation of what people with selective mutism and mutism as a whole suffer and struggle with.

I'll forgo my personal rambling of more of why I approached this fic the way i have, y'all've gotten enough of that. But what it boils down to is what the person has experienced in their life, I think, and if they are in a safe place. Since Feyre's is more trauma based, I thought it made sense that it persisted for years and that she doesn't speak at all. But then she's comfortable enough with Rhys to live with and marry him so....yeah. I dug a hole there. Hopefully when I explore it further in later updates it's mesh enough that it makes sense.
