one piece x steven universe au where instead of being a crystal gem, luffy is sort of a rogue who flies around in a spaceship adventuring through space and making/recruiting friends on different planets and gem colonies, he was inspired by earthlings and now he wants to live freely without the constraints of gem roles and expectations (tagging this with #gem piece)

been mulling over the ending to murder at homecoming for a couple days and i think it’s problem is in big part to do with the fact that it’s a very fantastical twist for a story that’s otherwise extremely grounded. that and i don’t think the twist is well set up, but the first bit is what’s more compelling for me.

because sprinting through school under threat of getting brained by a psycho little sister IS theoretically very fun but it just feels so out of touch with a story otherwise rooted in the suffering people will perpetuate on account of bigotry and the struggle with grief faced by those left behind after a death.

#i think the twist wouldnt have felt so far out of left field in crimes of passion because that story sets up from the get go that its #batshit insane #our villian for that story goes lol ive been processing my victims into diamonds and its insane but it #WORKS with what the story has told me to expect about itself #where mah talks about the high rates of violence perpetuated against women of colour and it has a complex subplot about val stone being #driven by grief and the unresolved probable death of their own sister #AND an entire subplot about how homophobia destroys lives #and then we've got a kooky yandere esque little sister murderer???? it just felt bizarre even w how much fun i was having playing #fuckingggg peek a boo w a crazy bitch #<- not rlly but eh #playchoices #tunes talks crit

iiiiiii have acquired a handmade party dress from (estimate) the 1960s, and it is unfinished at the bottom hem (there are still 2 or 3 pins in place to hem it actually, not sure if thats from the seller or the original owners) and i am wondering what the best way would be to go about finishing it 🤔

i do not know a single thing about dress making esp from the 1960s and i'd like to finish it as faithfully to the time as i can !! i will have to look up some stuff about that maybe but if anybody has any advice or thoughts or anything my DMs and inbox (and post replies) are all open and i would appreciate it a lot !!
