Daddy Daycare
Pairing: Sonic x Reader; Shadow x Reader; Silver x Reader; Scourge x Reader.
Genre: Comedy
Rating: T (Teen)
Warnings: Mentions of robbering.
Synopsis: You had to go out to resolve some issues outside the home, leaving your daughter in the care of her father. Will he be able to deal with a mini version of himself?
Sonic
When you mentioned that you had to go out for a few hours to pay the bills and stop by the market, he promptly offered to stay with your daughter and let you roam freely around the city. Sonic thought it would be easy, he’d take her for a walk in the park, get some ice cream, and then they’d head home, maybe watching cartoons until you arrived.
It was going to be a breeze. After all, she was just like him—he could totally handle the situation.
That’s what he thought.
"Alright, kiddo, you can run around the park for a bit, then we’ll grab some ice cream and sit on a bench." He crouched in front of the small, blue-furred child. Her green eyes were locked onto him in deep concentration.
When Sonic stood up, he blinked, looking around the park. When he turned his gaze back to where his daughter was, his eyes widened slightly.
She had disappeared in mere seconds, leaving behind only a dust trail where she had run.
"Kiddo?" He called, looking around, searching for any sign of the little blue quills he could spot in the distance.
Sonic dashed through the park, leaving his own blue streak behind, until he finally saw her, at the playground, near some other kids. Relieved, he approached.
"Hey, don’t run off on your dad like that." He looked at her, now calmer.
The little hedgehog just smiled as a group of other Mobian children gathered around her.
"Dad, I’m going to race them!"
Distracted by the relief of having found her, Sonic didn’t even think twice.
"Oh, that’s cool." Then, his eyes widened in shock. "Wait—No, kid, hold on—"
He didn’t even finish speaking before his daughter bolted off again, zooming in circles around the playground, leaving the other kids far behind and kicking up a thick cloud of dust.
Sonic shielded his eyes with his hand to avoid getting dust or debris in them.
When the little one finally stopped running, she had left a deep groove in the dirt where she had passed. The other children, now huddled together, looked at her in awe—and maybe a little fear.
"Dad, they’re so slow..." The little one looked indignant.
"I never would’ve guessed..." Sonic scratched the back of his head, looking at his daughter. "Okay, kiddo, I think we’ve terrorized the park enough for today. How about a movie at home?"
He reached out to take her hand, but before he could, she grinned mischievously.
"Race you home!"
"Wait, what?" Before he could react, the child had already taken off at full speed back home, forcing him to activate his super speed to catch up before she caused any destruction in the city.
On the way, a hot dog cart ended up in the middle of the street, a billboard wobbled and nearly fell, and the local police probably received a few emergency calls asking for an explanation.
Minutes later, when he finally caught up, the little girl was already waiting at the doorstep. Incredibly, Sonic was panting, his quills covered in dirt from the chase. Behind them, the chaotic sounds of a city that had just witnessed a tiny hedgehog speeding at the speed of sound echoed.
"Kiddo..." He took a deep breath, catching his breath. "You know, we heroes need to keep the city intact so we can save it later, right? Let’s ease up on the destruction?"
"But Dad, I thought you were the fastest in the world. Or are you getting old?" She crossed her arms, giving him a teasing smirk.
"This has to be karma..."
---*---
When you finally arrived home and opened the door, you were startled to see Sonic sprawled on the couch, looking completely exhausted. Meanwhile, the little one was now calmly coloring in a notebook on the floor. When she saw you, she immediately ran toward you.
"Mom! I beat Dad in a race across the city!" She exclaimed happily, hugging your leg.
Your eyes shifted back to Sonic, who now had a look of pure horror.
"I’m guessing I shouldn’t even ask if everything went well, huh?" You joked, chuckling.
Sonic sat up on the couch, and now it was obvious how dirty his fur was, covered in dust and dirt.
"She... she’s faster than me..."
You could only burst out laughing at the situation, covering your mouth and closing your eyes as you laughed.
"I thought you said everything would be fine."
"Have you ever tried convincing a mini version of yourself that accidentally destroying a city isn’t cool? I tried, and it didn’t work!" His face still showed complete disbelief.
And you could only keep laughing at how hilarious it was. You’d definitely have to teach him some techniques for handling a child who was always at full speed.
Shadow
Taking care of his daughter for a day? Easy. He had already dealt with dangerous missions and battles against formidable enemies. A child couldn’t be that difficult. She always behaved and followed orders when you were around—without you, it shouldn’t be a problem.
At least, that’s what he thought.
He had planned everything for the day, how he would take care of her, what he would feed her, the exact time for her bath. With everything planned, nothing could go wrong.
Big mistake.
It was still morning, and you had just left when Shadow decided to give her a bath to start the day fresh and clean. The small, black-furred girl stood in front of the bathtub, narrowing her eyes at her father while he kept his usual impassive expression.
"I don’t want to take a bath."
Shadow raised an eyebrow, confused by her response.
"You need to take a bath to start the day clean."
"A waste of time..." She turned around and started walking away.
Shadow followed her, picking her up in his arms. She pouted as he placed her in the bathtub.
"I have more important things to do than taking a bath," the little hedgehog said, annoyed.
"I bet you do," he replied, turning around to grab a bar of soap. When he looked back at the bathtub, she was already gone, walking out of the bathroom and leaving wet footprints behind.
"Hey, young lady, you're taking that bath!"
The little one bolted through the house, and Shadow grabbed a towel, chasing after her.
"Stop running and come take your bath!" He rounded a corner in the hallway, watching her black quills disappear into his bedroom.
"You’ll never catch me, old man!"
Shadow froze mid-step, his ears twitching in irritation.
"Who taught you to talk like that?!"
He resumed his chase.
Throwing open his bedroom door, he found her standing in front of his dresser, hiding something behind her back. She had no escape this time.
But then, she revealed what she was hiding.
Shadow's eyes widened as he saw the yellow glow of the Chaos Emerald.
"Wait—!"
In the next instant, his daughter vanished in a flash of light. He stood there, stunned for a second, before hearing the teleportation sound in the next room.
Dashing inside, Shadow found the little hedgehog giggling, having the time of her life.
"Stay right there, young lady!" He took a step toward her, but she lifted the emerald again. Shadow managed to grab her wrist, but not before being teleported along with her.
Now, they were on the rooftop, while she laughed in amusement.
"Give Daddy the emerald, and then you go back and take your bath." He stepped forward cautiously.
She looked at him mischievously, already preparing to use the emerald again.
"Dad, this is fun..."
She lifted the emerald once more.
Shadow lunged for her, only to be teleported again.
--*--
By the end of the day, when you opened the door, you expected Shadow and your daughter to have had a fun time together. But then, you raised an eyebrow in confusion.
Sitting on the floor, curled up, looking absolutely exhausted, was Shadow. His quills were messy and disheveled. In front of him, the little girl sat calmly, watching cartoons on the TV.
"Long day?" You asked, laughing.
"Don’t even get me started..." Shadow looked at you, drained.
Meanwhile, the little one ran up to you, and you picked her up in your arms.
"Mom, we had so much fun!" she said, giggling.
"Oh, I can see that. I hope you didn’t give your dad too much trouble."
Shadow raised an eyebrow at you before standing up, running a hand through his quills in a failed attempt to fix them.
"If I told you... that she took my Chaos Emerald... and teleported me into the middle of the ocean, would you believe me?"
You let out an amused laugh.
"Oh, I absolutely would. I don’t doubt it one bit."
You chuckled, gently running your hand through his quills, fixing a few that were still out of place.
He still had a lot to learn about handling his own daughter’s stubbornness.
Silver
When he found out he would be spending an entire day alone with his daughter, Silver couldn’t have been happier. After all, the little white-furred girl was cute and obedient. And he was determined to be the best father possible, taking perfect care of her to impress you when you returned.
That’s why he planned a series of fun father-daughter activities and set aside some healthy food for lunch.
Sitting next to her on the rug, he opened an encyclopedia filled with landscapes and explanations about nature.
"Look, sweetheart, this type of forest is called tundra. It’s beautiful, isn’t it? And this one is a tropical rainforest."
The little girl looked at the pictures with interest.
"Dad, can we draw this forest?" Her golden eyes turned to his, filling him with affection.
"Of course!" He glanced at the table, using his psychokinesis to bring the sketchbook and colored pencils to the floor. Her eyes sparkled as she watched her father use his powers.
"Dad, I want to use my powers too!" she said excitedly.
He chuckled at the idea. "Alright, let’s see… Try moving that eraser on the table."
The little girl focused, and soon, the eraser slowly lifted, gradually floating toward them with her psychokinesis. Silver caught it midair and placed it near the colored pencils.
"Great job! I'm so proud of you." He ruffled her hair affectionately. What he didn’t expect was just how out of hand things would get as the day went on.
During lunch, while preparing a healthy salad, he turned around to grab some seasoning from the cabinet, only to realize that the jar of candy, which had been hidden high up, was now empty. Silver narrowed his eyes. That’s when he was startled by the sound of something being dragged in the living room.
He rushed over and froze at the sight. Wrappers from the candy were scattered all over the floor, and his daughter stood with her hands raised, making the couch levitate.
His first reaction was to smile slightly, proud of how much her power was developing.
But then, as he looked up, his breath caught in his throat, and his smile vanished. The coffee table, a plant vase, and the rug were all stuck to the ceiling due to her psychokinesis.
"Sweetheart, be careful with your powers. It’s too early for you to be using them like this. Let’s practice putting things back on the floor, okay? That’s important!"
He took a cautious step forward, worried about her safety, using his own powers to bring the furniture down. However, before he could act, she turned to him, and suddenly, he was caught in her telekinesis.
Silver started floating helplessly, unable to grab onto anything, only stopping when he reached the ceiling.
He was not prepared for this.
"Please, sweetheart, put Daddy back on the floor!" he pleaded, trying to keep the panic out of his voice.
"Dad, I don’t know how to bring things back down once I lift them."
His eyes widened in terror.
"I wasn’t prepared for this..." he muttered.
--*--
When you arrived in the afternoon, you stepped inside, hearing movement in the living room. As you entered, you were met with an unexpected sight.
"Mom, look what I can do!" The little girl ran up to you, turning toward the armchair and using her powers to make it levitate.
That’s when your eyes landed on Silver—floating midair, struggling to move as he clung to whatever furniture he could reach.
"Silver? You okay up there?"
He flinched at your voice, looking at you with wide eyes.
"Yep! Everything’s totally under control, nothing to worry about!" he tried to play it off, attempting to use his own powers to float down to you. But his daughter's telekinesis was still keeping him trapped.
Then, her power failed.
With a loud crash, the furniture dropped to the ground, and so did Silver, luckily, landing on a pile of cushions.
"I was gone for five hours… How did this even happen?" you asked, looking at the mess around you.
"Don’t even ask..." Silver groaned as he sat up, watching his daughter happily flipping through the encyclopedia in the kitchen. "I just wanted to be a good dad..."
Sighing, you walked over and cupped his cheek gently.
"You are a good dad, Silver. You just need to learn how to say no to her… and teach her that she can’t cause chaos inside the house."
He nodded quietly. "Leave it to me." He placed his hand over yours.
Your adorable white hedgehog still had a lot to learn about handling his daughter’s impulsive nature.
Scourge
Spending a day with his little brat would be easy—he liked the girl a lot, and her energy matched his perfectly. So, of course, he’d be able to handle everything and keep the little green-furred hedgehog under control until you got back.
That’s why he decided a trip to the city and a visit to the toy store would be enough to keep the little one distracted and happy. However, things started getting complicated right away when he was looking for his jacket to wear.
Scourge searched through every closet, the laundry basket, under the bed. He sighed, scratching his head, wondering where he might have left it. That’s when, in his peripheral vision, he spotted a familiar fabric. Turning around, he saw his daughter wearing his jacket, which was way too big for her.
"Hey, kid, you swiped ya dad's jacket? Hand it ovah, we gotta go."
"No, I like it. It’s stylish. It’s mine now," she retorted, crossing her arms. Scourge narrowed his eyes.
"It don’t even fit ya, kid. C’mon, give it back ta ya pops." He took a step toward her, but she stepped back, a mischievous smirk on her face.
Realizing this wouldn’t end well, Scourge sighed and gave up.
"Awright, fine, keep it for today. But when ya ma gets home, I want my damn jacket back."
"Not happening."
Scourge stared at her in disbelief but let it slide. What he didn’t expect was how things would escalate out of his control.
At the toy store, he was checking the prices of some things she liked while letting her play in the store’s playground after she insisted a lot. His ears twitched slightly, picking up the noise of some commotion.
Following the sound, he spotted his daughter standing on a kid’s bench, surrounded by a bunch of small Mobians. She raised a fist, giving what sounded like a speech. The kids cheered, leaving Scourge confused—until he realized she had formed a little gang of brats, all led by his daughter.
'Sheesh… I really am a terrible influence, ain't I?,' he muttered, frowning.
As he approached, she noticed him and focused her blue eyes on her father.
"Dad, I have a gang now, just like you!" she announced loudly, drawing the attention of other adults in the store. Scourge’s ears flattened against his head instinctively.
"Nah, kid, I ain't got no gang… not no more…" he murmured the last part quietly, not wanting to cause a scene.
That’s when his daughter turned to her crew, rallying them again.
"Alright, gang, we’re gonna take over this store!"
Scourge’s eyes widened in horror.
"Kid, that ain't how a real gang works," he muttered, crossing his arms.
"Oh yeah? And you would know, Dad?"
He gritted his teeth as she challenged him. Without another word, he picked her up and carried her straight to the register to pay for the toy he had picked.
"You can play wit’ ya little crew some other time. Right now, we’re headin’ home."
Walking down the street, holding her hand while carrying the shopping bag, he was still trying to process everything, thinking that the saying like father, like daughter had never been more accurate.
That’s when she suddenly stopped in front of a popcorn stand. Scourge noticed her interest, so he reached for his wallet to grab some cash.
"Mister, can I get free popcorn? My dad’s broke and can’t afford one," she said.
Scourge’s eyes widened in shock, a bead of sweat running down his quills.
This kid had audacity. He had to admit that.
The popcorn vendor handed her the snack while Scourge stood there, mouth open. Then, the little girl grabbed his hand and led him back home.
"See, Dad? Now you don’t have to waste money on this."
At first, he was speechless, but then he laughed at how cunning she was, even at such a young age.
"And Dad, I stole this from the store."
She pulled out an expensive toy from inside his jacket.
"That’s my girl—Wait, WHAT?!"
He stared at the toy in her hand.
"If ya ma finds out ‘bout this, she’s gonna kill me!"
"We can’t return it now, Dad. No one saw me, not even the cameras."
Scourge scratched his head. Returning the item now would only make him look suspicious.
‘This kid’s gonna get me locked up, I swear…’ was all he could think.
So, he decided to let it slide just this once and give her a serious talk about following society’s rules later.
"Aight, but not a word o’ this ta ya mother, ya hear me?"
The little one nodded quickly, following him home.
--*--
When you walked in the door, you found Scourge sprawled out on the couch, looking completely defeated. On the floor, the little troublemaker was happily playing with her new toys—still wearing his jacket.
Smiling warmly, you sat beside him, and the little one immediately got up to hug you.
"Mom, today I tricked some adults and made a gang!"
You raised an eyebrow, glancing at Scourge.
"Sounds like a very eventful day," you teased, laughing.
"I gotta admit… I think this lil' brat just outdid me." Scourge huffed, thinking back on the chaotic day.
"I can definitely imagine that," you laughed again. "She really takes after you."
"Yeah, but ya never told me ya kid was some kinda criminal mastermind in trainin’!"
He sat up, crossing his arms.
"And ya gotta convince her ta gimme my damn jacket back..."
You could only laugh as you kissed his cheek.
"Mom, Dad let me stea—"
Scourge quickly placed a hand over her mouth gently.
"I bought that for her! Yeah, that’s right! Bought it!"
Sweat dripped down his forehead while the little troublemaker giggled at his reaction.
You arched an eyebrow.
He slumped back on the couch, sighing.
"This kid is trouble, I tell ya..."
Then, as she went back to playing, he smirked at you.
"I think I earned myself a lil’ reward for puttin’ up wit’ her all day…"
You punched his shoulder, making him grunt in pain—before he chuckled.
Yeah... he still needed time to figure out how to deal with a mini version of himself.

At long last, the trailer for Sonic movie 3 is here, giving us our first look at Shadow! It looks like a fun time, though my excitement is probably more tempered than a lot of peoples' due to a few things I have mixed feelings on. Here are my off-the-cuff thoughts about it.
Shadow
Yes, it does seem like they've really nailed Shadow here. Fowler's attachment to the character clearly shows. The action looks cool and really sells Shadow as a serious threat. He's got his bike, he's doing Chaos Control all over the place, it's great. Keanu is very much just doing his regular voice, but it fits well enough. The backstory from SA2 seems to mostly be there, though I'm sure some details will be adjusted. Mostly I'm still just amazed that we're getting a major tentpole blockbuster movie this Christmas starring Shadow the fucking Hedgehog that treats him as a serious character worthy of respect. We've come such a long way...
I mean, just... what an image to see on the big screen.
I also really like the way they're setting Shadow up as a foil for movie Sonic, kind of his dark mirror image as a Mobian hedgehog whose family life on Earth ended in tragedy and turned him into a vengeful antagonist. It's pretty straightforward, but it works well.
Robotnik(s)
Welp. They put Jim Carrey in a fat suit. I suppose we knew this day would come eventually.
I guess a small part of me is glad that movie Eggman finally actually looks like Eggman in every way that matter, but they're completely playing it as a joke at his expense here. And, yeah, the Sonic franchise isn't immune to fat jokes, the early years of the franchise (particularly Western adaptations) gave Sonic tons and tons and tons of jabs about Eggman's weight. But I thought we'd moved past that. But here we are with a depressed movie Robotnik binge eating and gaining a lot of weight like Fat Thor and the other characters think he's so GROSS and look his clothes don't even fit him anymore, haha! There's so much of this crammed into the trailer. I can only pray they don't do this in every fucking scene he's in in the movie.
I do like the plot of Sonic reluctantly teaming up with Robotnik to try and stop Shadow, though. It's very different from SA2, but we knew it would be, and I think that gives the movie some potential for Sonic to have kind of a dark turn of his own that mirror's Shadow's. I have a feeling that Sonic will try to get back at Shadow for something he does - maybe hurting Tom or something like that - and in the end Sonic sympathizes with Shadow and decides they have to stop their cycle of revenge, teaming up to stop some final threat.
Oh, and, of course... Jim Carrey is also playing Professor Gerald. Who might still be alive? Or maybe it's a hallucination on Ivo's part? I don't know, but either way, I'm here for it. Everyone joked about them doing it and then they went and did it. Yes, it risks playing him as a joke character, but the shot of him and Shadow mourning Maria while surrounded by GUN soldiers makes me believe he won't be a total joke. I wouldn't be surprised if he was the true final antagonist of the film, which would diverge a lot from the games but would work as its own version of the story.
And again, WHAT an image to see on the big screen lmao

Everyone else
The human cast is VERY downplayed in this trailer, but let's not forget that they're still going to get a lot of screentime one way or another. The Sonic 2 trailer barely showed anything from Hawaii. Where oh where is my best friend Wade?
Speaking of the Wade show, Knuckles... frankly still seems to be mostly a comic relief character heavily influenced by MCU Thor here, getting some jokes in the trailer but immediately getting Worfed by Shadow when it comes time to fight. Tails seems to be flying the gang around in a real-ass helicopter, and his big pilot's helmet is funny, but otherwise he doesn't really do anything here aside from getting stomped by Shadow. I really hope they don't get sidelined too hard, but frankly I fully expect them to, Tails especially.
And, of course... I can't help but think about who isn't here. Namely: the girls. Yes, three movies and one streaming miniseries into this film franchise, exactly zero of the female (animal) characters from the games have made the jump to live action. Please allow me to bitch about this.
Despite her being both 1) a main character in the game this movie is loosely adapting and 2) my fave, I suppose I can understand why Rouge isn't here. Paramount took one look at that bat cleavage and went "nope," cowards that they are. There was some speculation that Kristen Ritter could be playing Rouge, but we now know she's just playing someone at GUN. But, again, I at least get why they'd be hesitant to include her.
But Amy... Amy is such a glaring omission at this point. There's no excuse. She's the female lead of the franchise. She's one of Sonic's closest friends. (Honestly, these days it's more accurate to say Team Sonic is Sonic, Tails, and Amy, not Knuckles, especially in the comics.) And she's also a key player in Shadow's arc in the game. Shadow has his change of heart because Amy reminds him of Maria! And yet, she's nowhere to be seen. It sucks.
(I know some fans are still holding out hope for Amy, but the toys for the movie already leaked and she didn't get anything, so I have to assume she's not in it.)
It's not like I really expected either of them to be in this movie, but that doesn't make it less disappointing that they set up the film franchise in a way that makes it logistically difficult to include 90% of the characters and conveniently managed to leave all of the girls in the "low priority" pile. Yes, I know everyone points to how much Tails was downplayed in the third act of Sonic 2 as evidence that it's just so impossible to introduce more than one new Mobian character in each movie and give them the focus they deserve. Yes, I know having to come up with a story excuse to bring more characters over to Earth is an obstacle, especially when they're gonna have to devote time to Shadow's backstory. But these are excuses. It's a writer's job to figure out solutions to problems like this. They could make it work if they really wanted to. I'd take Amy having a suboptimal amount of screentime over her not being in it at all. It's just not a priority for them. That's what disappoints me. You can justify these absences from a logical perspective, but I just care way more about Amy and Rouge as characters than I do about Shadow, so there's no way for this to not sting.
But, at the end of the day, for what the movie is actually trying to do, it seems to be pulling it off well. Aside from the fat jokes. I don't like the fat jokes. But the Shadow stuff is good. As always, this live action version of the franchise is never going to be my ideal version of Sonic, but it's turned out far better than it had any right to, and I'll probably have fun when I go see this in theaters and hear Live and Learn.

StC Post-Mortems: Metamorphia
Metamorphia is one of the StC villains who has a complete arc that spans across the sort of “middle era” of the comic. She’s always been somewhat well-known within the fandom and has a lot of potential, making her pretty easy to talk about for these Post-Mortems
How it started
She looked a bit different in her first appearance in the comic, huh? But if the name doesn’t make it obvious enough, Metamorphia is a shape-shifter. She was created by Grimer in order to serve Robotnik, who she adores. On her first appearance, Metamorphia posed as a bear Mobian who needed help in order to trick Sonic into leaving the others and following her into a trap
She soon revealed her true colours, however, and after a battle, Sonic was able to defeat her, wrongly assuming she met her end when she fell into a fire after their battle
How it went
But second time’s a charm, right? No? How about third time? No again?
Shortly after her first appearance, Metamorphia makes two more attempts to trick the Freedom Fighters, posing as a hedgehog both times, though neither time ending in success. But here’s the interesting part about Metamorphia: There’s follow-ups to her defeats. It isn’t a simple case of “Sonic stops the bad guy that was sent after him, the end”. We get to see her performances reviewed by Robotnik and he’s none too happy with them
Metamorphia presented a strain on the relationship of Robotnik & Grimer - with Grimer wanting desperately for his boyfriend to approve of his daughter, but Robotnik not giving her an inch
She had one last chance to prove herself to Robotnik in a battle against Shortfuse & Tekno. But when Metamorphia failed that as well, Robotnik ultimately decided to strip her of her powers and toss her in a badnik. This wouldn’t be the end for the character, however
How it ended
Although technically not her final appearance, Metamorphia’s character arc is concluded in issue 83. She must've been trapped as a badnik for sometime, before happening to cross paths with Tails, who frees her from this. After being saved, Metamorphia has a good cry over how badly Robotnik treated her, before vowing to never work for him again This sparks one final change for the better, causing her to turn back into a bear Mobian, just like she was during her first appearance. I guess she subconsciously liked this form? After this, Metamorphia is free to start a new life, unable to be tracked by Robotnik
She did technically make one more appearance after that, a long time afterwards in issue 130, when Robotnik used the powers of the Chaos Emeralds to make himself a god and create a reality where Sonic never existed. In this reality, he brought back several of Sonic’s former foes, including Metamorphia, who posed as Tails to trick Sonic once more. But this version of Metamorphia was destroyed in a blast from another villain called Plasma and we can assume that, when reality was returned to normal, Metamorphia was also returned to her new life with no memories of what had happened
Were there any unused future plans from the StC writers?
I couldn’t find any further plans for Metamorphia, but despite her prominence as a villain, this doesn’t surprise me too much. Her arc as a character was finished and her writer, Lew Stringer, was quite reliable at finishing up his characters’ arcs and then being done - Metamorphia, Brutus and Shortfuse all have conclusions to their stories within StC. Which is for the best, seeing as if they hadn’t, it would’ve been even more unsatisfying when the comic would one day abruptly stop making new stories and thus any chances to give the characters proper closure would be gone
What would I personally have liked to see next for her if StC continued?
I have two ideas for what I’d have liked to have seen from Metamorphia if she’d returned to StC. I think I’ve mentioned this one before, but this is my main one. Assuming that Metamorphia stayed good, I’d like to see her come back as an ally for Tails in his solo stories. I do think the Tails stories were lacking a consistent supporting character to make them stand out a bit more. Amy’s stories have Tekno, Knuckles’s stories have Porker and Tails’s stories could have Metamorphia
It’d be fun to see her come back, perhaps having realised she still has some limited shape-shifting abilities, and wants to use that to help fight against Robotnik this time. Actually, her appearance in issue 130 could even be a good excuse for that - have it so that when reality was returned to normal, Robotnik’s meddling with that Chaos Emeralds’ power accidentally reawakened her shape-shifting abilities again after so long - easy as that!
Alternatively, have her reunite with Grimer. This could either be as an extension of the previous idea or if you want her to go back to being a villain, have her team up with Grimer as part of a villain duo instead. Grimer ultimately quits working for Robotnik at the end of the series, so it’d be interesting to see if he would seek out his creation to potentially make amends with her after that, as well as see how Metamorphia might react to that. I could see Grimer potentially returning as a villain separate to Robotnik in the comic, but despite having a few outings of his own in StC, he’s not exactly got the fire-power without his tech, so Metamorphia could be a good way to add some muscle to the team. The two of them could become loose cannon villains who equally will fight against either the Freedom Fighters or Robotnik when they cross paths
What if she was in other Sonic media?
Metamorphia did make a small cameo in Archie Sonic! It’s not as obvious as the Tekno, Ebony & Pyjamas cameos in this same image, but you can just see her behind Big the Cat here in the original bear form that she first appeared in during issue 30
Outside of that, I think that, like Windy Wallis, you could easily make a case for Metamorphia working as one of the Egg Bosses in post-reboot Archie. Of course, IDW has their own shape-shifting character in Mimic, so there’s less need for her over there. But outside of that, shape-shifters are versatile by design, so you could probably put her in most other Sonic universes to fill the role of a shape-shifting villain without needing to do too much work. Sure, Grimer doesn’t exist outside of StC, but I hate to say it, you could always just cut out the middleman and have her be made directly by Eggman instead. She could even be an older sister to Sage! Give Sage a character arc where she realises that Eggman doesn't treat her big sister as well as he treats Sage and have Sage develop some morality feelings about it. I’d like that

Hello! For the hurt/comfort dialogue prompts: #29. "Do you know how to use a first aid kit?" + Tails
here u go!!! this was a lot of fun to write, i decided to go with classic!sonic and modern/older!tails <3
///
Tails is halfway through an errand – dropping off seed packets to Vanilla to repay her for the flowers she donated for Amy’s birthday – when a portal appears out of the sky.
A blue hedgehog drops out, which is just par for the course. When Tails was younger, he probably would’ve been worried and called out for him. But seeing as this has happened at least once a month for the last several years, Tails no longer wastes the adrenaline.
Instead, Tails simply reacts. He flies a little faster than usual, and as always, hopes to catch Sonic before he hits the ground.
(Not that he’s all that worried even if he doesn’t get there in time. Sonic has a tendency to break falls with his face, and it’s never done serious damage before, even falls from space. Tails doubts it’ll start hurting him now.)
Still, as Sonic falls, Tails can’t help but think it’s odd timing. He wasn’t really expecting Sonic back yet, seeing as he was visiting the Wisps. It doesn’t take that long to travel to and from Planet Wisp, but Sonic was planning on spending at least a few days there. For once, they really weren’t expecting any trouble from Eggman. Though of course, that’s always what Eggman wants them to think, so maybe Tails should’ve known better.
Either way, Tails will probably get an explanation once his brother has safely touched down.
…It’s not until Tails actually catches Sonic that he realizes his mistake.
This, it would appear, isn’t Sonic. Or at least, not his Sonic.
Tails probably should’ve guessed it, seeing as he came through a portal. Speaking of, he glances up at the portal just in time to see it close, long before Tails ever would’ve been able to fly him back through.
Then, he glances at the little hedgehog in his arms, and does some basic deductive reasoning to find that there’s no way this version of Sonic is the free spirited nineteen-year-old he knows and loves.
For one, this Sonic is less than half the size he’s supposed to be – probably closer to a third. If that didn’t give it away, the short quills and round belly do. Even though Tails has seen Sonic’s younger form a few times, he never stops being surprised at just how small he is. Er, was. Seeing him up close, it’s always hard to believe Sonic was fighting Eggman at this age.
This age being nine, at most. Give or take a few years – Tails was never great at identifying hedgehog growth patterns.
Deductions made, Tails gently deposits Sonic on the ground in front of him. Thanks to Tails’s latest growth spurt, even at his full height, Sonic could stack three of himself and only just barely make it to Tails’s chin. Sonic doesn’t even seem to realize it’s out of the ordinary. Instead, he just squints up at him, hands on his hips.
Right. Shorter Mobians hate it when bigger ones don’t respect their stature. Not wanting to be rude, Tails takes a seat in front of him and waves. “Hey there.”
Sonic – Mini-Sonic, he decides – doesn’t answer. He only looks marginally less suspicious now that Tails is sitting.
“Don’t worry, we’ll get you home again in no time,” Tails says, trying to sound friendly, remembering just how out-of-sorts Mini-Sonic had been last time he’d been flung into an alternate timeline. “It’s nice to see you again, though! What tossed you through a portal this time?”
Mini-Sonic just frowns at him – like he’s the suspicious one.
“It’s okay if you’re upset,” Tails says. “I would be too, if I was in your shoes. But you can trust me. As soon as you’re ready, I’ll take you back to my lab and we’ll start working on a portal to get you back home.”
Somehow, that’s the wrong thing to say. Mini-Sonic’s quills raise defensively, and he takes a pronounced step back. Almost, Tails realizes a beat too late, like he’s about to run off.
“Wait!”
On reflex, Tails reaches out and takes his hand. It’s only because Mini-Sonic is so tiny that Tails manages it. Mini-Sonic, try as he might, is just not fast enough to escape Tails’s grasp. Tails counts his lucky stars. He definitely wouldn’t have been up for chasing down a miniature version of his big brother today.
However… When Tails actually grabs him, Mini-Sonic does not seem thrilled. He doesn’t look scared, exactly – but there’s an annoyance, a wariness, that Tails isn’t used to. He pulls against Tails’s grip to no avail. It’s almost funny how little a difference it makes, how hard Mini-Sonic seems to be pulling and how easy it is to keep him in tow.
“Just tell me what’s going on, okay?” Tails says, not yet letting go. “I promise I’ll help.”
That’s when Tails remembers – embarrassingly late – that Sonic is years away from being able to talk. And he’s not entirely sure that this Sonic is fluent enough in sign to hold a conversation even if he did have both hands free.
Not how Tails saw his Monday going, that’s for sure.
He sighs. It’s bad enough that his Sonic’s somewhere out in space again, nowhere to be seen.
But the fact that Sonic’s younger self is here probably doesn’t bode well. No offense to the little guy, but he never shows up unless Sonic’s in an awful lot of trouble.
Still, it’s impossible to be mad at him. Especially since this version might actually be even younger than usual. Sonic’s usual younger self is usually still a couple of years older than Tails – but now that Tails has grown up a little, this one almost seems to have shrunk, even taking into account Tails’s own greater height. Sonic was definitely a bit of a late bloomer as far as hedgehog species go, but this one barely makes it up to Tails’s knees.
It takes Tails a moment, but he finally realizes that just because he’s met a younger Sonic… doesn’t mean that this younger Sonic has met him.
It’s entirely possible that this one is from even earlier in the time-stream than the ones he’s met.
Meaning Mini-Sonic probably has no idea who Tails is.
Tails stares at the little hedgehog in front of him, and realizes he’s way, way out of his depth.
That’s also when he notices the tiny red spots on Sonic’s socks. Tails frowns, and follows the red up to his spindly little legs, where there’s a purple patch of sticky fur just above his knee.
“You’re hurt,” Tails says, feeling even guiltier for grabbing him now. “How bad is it?”
Of course Sonic didn’t want to be manhandled. He never did anyways, but especially not if he was hurt and didn’t recognize Tails. He barely handled manhandling now, as an adult.
Mini-Sonic still couldn’t talk though, and still showed no sign of recognizing Tails. And as much as Tails would’ve liked to let him go, Mini-Sonic just kept glancing between Tails’s hand and his easiest escape route, meaning that if he gave him even an inch, Mini-Sonic would shoot off, never to be seen again.
Tails sighs. Time to do this the old fashioned way.
“Chili dogs first,” he decides, and easily scoops up mini-Sonic – quills digging into his arms and all – “Then a first aid kit. We’ll patch up your leg, and hopefully by then you’ll realize I’m not trying to hurt you, Sonic.”
Finally, Sonic’s ears prick up. Tails realizes it’s the first time he’s called him by his name. Duh – no wonder Sonic had reacted so poorly.
“I know your name because I know you,” Tails says, and watches Sonic’s face turn doubtful. “...In the future,” Tails corrects, “Which is where you are. The future.”
(Under his breath, he mutters, “Chaos, how does Silver deal with this?”)
Sonic’s doubtful frown doesn’t budge.
Tails wishes he knew how to convince him.
Still… even if it’s not good that Mini-Sonic doesn’t trust him, Tails can’t help but chuckle at the way distrust looks on his big brother’s tiny face, chubby cheeks and all.
It helps Tails stay coolheaded, too, as he flies in the direction of the nearest city, hoping he’s got enough cash for some chili dogs. He’s flying a bit higher than he needs – hopefully the height will be enough of a deterrent to keep Mini-Sonic from biting and clawing him until he wriggles away. Truthfully, Tails is just surprised that Sonic hasn’t done so already. He always imagined Sonic would’ve been a bit more of a gremlin as a kid.
It’s weird that he’s so calm. Tails decides maybe it has something to do with the portal he went through, or the fact that he’s injured.
“Don’t you worry,” Tails says, unable to resist the urge to rub between Sonic’s ears. Huge, shiny black eyes look up at him, clearly unused to the affection, despite how basic it is. “We’re getting you something to eat first, then I’ll fix up your leg. Or – you’ll fix yourself up, if you don’t want me to. Sonic never says much about his early years, but I figure you probably already know how to do it, right? I mean, clearly you have to, no way you got older without ever figuring out how to wash out an injury and patch it up, and…”
Mini-Sonic tilts his head at him.
“You know – patching up injuries,” Tails says, and taps the uninjured skin near Sonic’s knee.
Mini-Sonic, for all that he seems to mostly understand him, just blinks.
“...Do you know how to use a first aid kit?”
Mini-Sonic just scrunches his brows at him, and Tails realizes that his Monday has just gotten even longer. Once the normal-age Sonic gets back, he’s going to need to answer a lot of questions…
But first, he reminds himself with a deep breath, chili dogs. He might know nothing about raising kids, but at least he knows Sonic well enough to have a cheat sheet. Tails has a feeling he’ll need it.

Dump of whatever random doodles on my phone involve Solaris; I don't remember what I've posted or not and I'm too lazy to check.
This guy is like a science experiment to me and I'm sure he wouldn't appreciate that.
Some words and extra doodle or two under the cut
Basic context: I got an AU (Frostbite) where 06 is as canon-compliant (up to and through 06) as possible except I fix shit afterwards and give my own spin on some character motivations. Most stuff is just worldbuilding though. These are a tiny fraction of my Solaris stuff but I don't put much on my phone/don't post much.
Anyway brief descriptions:
1. To me Solaris is a 'sibling' of sorts to Chaos, and also has 8 forms. This is a concept for Solaris 6; essentially a Persian Simurgh. 'Perfect Solaris' would be different from the boss fight we see, although similar; the boss fight Solaris is pretty god-equivalent-to-sick and is also too busy trying to deal with fixing Time to make himself 'presentable'.
2. His design is still changing a bit, but a kind of 'mobian' version of him. One more like how I normally do things, one more Sonic-y. I do not like the Sonic-y one. Nowadays Solaris 0 is more in the middle leaning Sonic, and Solaris 1 is a bit beastier but still close to the other one.
3. After Solaris is allowed to Solaris he might occaaaasionally go hedgehog for a bit; he was one for ~211 years so he's used to it. Gonna be cunty about it though, cause he's just like that. Shadow and Sonic look a bit young (if linear progression of time applies and we say Sonic is ~14 or so for Adventure, then for me that'd mean he's at least 16 for 06, and this couldn't take place until like 2 years later so I guess he'd be a whole-ass adult by then) but maybe they're the kind of people who just have baby-faces idk
Anyway some rougher stuff that's either real early practice or I'm hemming and hawwing over making 'canon' to the AU
#solaris#Sonic Iblis#mephiles#technically#Sonic Shadow and Blaze are also here but they're too main tag/inconsequential to tag#there's a little bit of Metal though so I guess I'll tag him#Metal Sonic#also I guess some of this counts as#Sonic oc#kinda-sorta#is it an oc if it's a canon Thing but you design literally everything about them#oh and I can tag#chao#too cause there sure are. do custom chao get their own tag? I dunno man#Im so tired. all the time.#oh yeah silver and charmy are also here i forgor#metal's not mean to him like that fr i just needed an excuse to call him that cause I remember him being announced and someone calling him#that

Shadow and the hive mind

This doesn't apply to the original Shadow (Sa2/Heroes in particular, when Black Doom and the Black Arms weren't a thing). The original Shadow experienced a full range of feelings and emotions, was flawed and not overpowered, that made him felt 'real'.
And it doesn't apply to the edgelord, nor any version of the past, although in some versions is hinted that Shadow is sugestible.
But the very recent interpretation of this year, especially the spin off on Shadow, suggested me otherwise.
Now, some of the bare bone traits of Shadow personality (where people usually work on) are:
Quiet - All version but Chousoku Shadow Melancholic - Doesn't apply to Chousoku Shadow, Edgelord Shadow and Prime Shadow Stubborn - All versions (this is the one including laser focus, any means necessary etc etc...) Mischievous - Applies to original Shadow, Chousoku Shadow and Prime Shadow. Playful - Applies to the original Shadow, Chousoku Shadow and Prime Shadow Compassionate - Applies on the original Shadow, Archie Shadow and Prime Shadow. Clever - Applies to the original Shadow.
If all taken in account and cocked carefully the result may come...

After Sonic Prime (and possibly Prime Shadow was included in the overhaul), it seems that Shadow went under a quick revisal, with his personality that sifted dramatically from appearance to appearance.
When the year of Shadow started, we had about the most jarring experiment, he seemed cheerful, positive and proactive, too much. I believe the proactive part was the one I had problems with, it was like a flood.
And indeed...
He was smiling a little bit too often. Shadow can and should smile, just not too often. I've read that fans feedmack is very influential on Sonic characterization (and unfortunately the same applies for the meme - see Tails always getting beaten by Shadow lately. Before it was only a specific scene in Sonic X, in a specific context, after Sonic Boom it has became mandatory, although most of the time and in most media Shadow and Tails get along well).
Then, shorts like Dark Beginnings came:
I don't know is this is the next overhaul, but Shadow seems just apathetic, even depressed. He lets the other do everything to him, they can drag him around, hug him and he just does nothing. His normal expression is rather blank, you feel low energy coming from him. Unlike the original Shadow he can't 'Live and learn'. He has little sparkles of free will but if everything is fine and he is not needed, I would guess he would let himself wither.
And here the hive mind theory comes.
Shadow's original wariness has become straigt out passiveness. He is part Black Arms and this might have eavily influenced certain personality traits. The passiveness and restlessness is due of lacking a connection to the hive mind. He just follows the stream.

The other part of his mind is, you can call it Mobian/Earthling, the way you want. Is the one who allow him to tell what's wrong and what's right, to take decisions (including going to missions), to feel and even to rebel to the hive mind. Still he is always lost. He is not supposed to have a free will.
Because of his black arms side, Black Doom can easily do whathever he wants with his mind. He can make all his suppressed memories resurface and can even control his dreams and nightmare. I think that BD doesn't actually give Shadow new powers. He just awakes them, fully waking his BA side and get a better control on him later, when he will fully embrace his black arms side.
I still favour the Original Shadow, but i'm curious on what Shadow Generation will show.
(Sorry for stupid mistakes, my keyboard is dying)

✧ ['find my muse staring up at the starry sky'] - For Metal/Mobianized Metal (up to you what condition you have him in.)
[ @theshadowandhislight ]
---
Tonight was meant to be just a lonely beautiful run through the night. You'd think when describing it as 'lonely' that would be a bad thing but for Sonic it really wasn't. atleast not to him. he finds himself skidding to a stop in this wide stretch of grassy field. he probably would've laid down to stargaze awhile on his own time if he hadn't caught notice of a figure in the distance in said field. he recognized it to be Metal.
Since Shadow had somehow convinced Metal to live with them, it didn't necessarily Set Sonic off as much to see the identical hog. robotic or not, Metal deserved a friend too. Sonic was just glad Shadow could somehow talk some sense into him. like seriously, how did that edgehog manage that?
No matter, Sonic approaches the distant Hog and stops at his own polite distance. with a little whistle, he moves to relax his paws on his hips but in a specific way where the back of his hands are rested against his hips instead of just holding his hips. a more relaxing looking version of the hip stance without looking as if he was trying to be judgmental. he really wasn't. he supposed they, possibly, both had some sort of affinity for stars?
Sonic casts one glance to the Starry sky again before he looks to Metal once more, finally speaking up to make his presence known.
' ' pretty night tonight, isnt it? ' '
Truth be told- metal was still adjusting to this. This new life. He’d been waking up expecting to get called and briefed on a mission or told to just ‘kill that damn hedgehog’- an entire existence as a weapon and now he was able to live how others did. Without being brought into battle every day. He was adjusting, slowly. And he was trying to subside that urge that had been coded into his entire body to maul and attack sonic. And he had to violently dig his claws into the ground and take some breaths before even thinking of facing the blue blur. A deep breath.. and then he turned his head twords the hog. Ears perked and twitching with a low hum. He’d thought he was far enough to be hard to find. But that was impossible with the speed of light as a hedgehog trying to rehabilitate you, he guessed. He turned his eyes back to the sky with a soft chuff and let his body relax. They weren’t fighting anymore- he had to calm down. He wasn’t going to get anywhere succumbing to his urges.
“..Mhm. Its interesting to think one of those many stars is masters deathegg. I assume ive already been replaced, as i havent seen any badniks searching for me. So. I supposed it to be safe to be outside if i am not being hunted for.”
Metal spoke up finally, eyes turning from star to star, he sounded- well. Not upset. He was just unsure. He knew the doctor would rather replace him then go through the fuss of searching for him. It didnt.. hurt or upset him. He just supposed he was getting what they called a home sickness’. He wasn’t a fan of it.
Despite how relaxed the hedgehog looked- well now that sonic was close, you could see under the dim moonlight that the hog had blood dripping from his fur. It was his, not someone elses. See- metal had snuck off later in the night from the house trying to collect his thoughts after a.. not so nice ‘dream’, he ran into someone that recognized who he used to be and well- now metal was sat here, injured, slashes and bite marks on his body here and there. Seeming like he didnt fight back- his claws and jaws unsoaked. And perhaps this was what he was doing to control his urge to chase the attacker down? He was trying. He really was.

Found Family, Literally
Words: 872
Request: Hi I just noticed that you don't write female readers sorry I didn't see it so I edited my request can you please do a platonic chaos council x reader so the reader was from the prime verse and is the kid of eggman they was caught up in everything the reader is also dating neo metal sonic (sonic heroes never happened) so when the reader and neo metal sonic find them self's in new yoke city they go into hiding with neo using his shape shifting ability to disguise himself as an organic looking version of him self. now with the chaos council they see the reader and neo walking the streets but luckily the reader was using something that can disguise themselve as a mobian but the chaos council aren't folled and captured the reader and neo they are shocked to find out that neo is a robot and that the reader is human but what shocked them most was there memories because when the chaos council used a device that can look into others memories they find out that the reader is basically related to them and they all accept the reader into the chaos council and basically allow neo to date the reader
I tried my best with Neo's personality (Even though he doesn't talk much) and I do call him Neo throughout.

In your own vehicle, you were next to your father, Dr Eggman as the others called him. Out of the way of the bots but close enough to get a good, close look at the rainbow crystal. That was until that blue rat showed up, which caused your father to turn towards you. “Y/N, get off the ground! We mustn’t let him have any chances.” Huffing as you listened to him, so now you were floating above everyone else.
Except for the bat, although a quick pass by the rotors have caused her to stay back, not wanting to risk her wings and the ability to fly. Either way you weren’t complaining, until your father finally grabbed the crystal. But even then you knew something was wrong, as the others shouted at Sonic, you yelled for your dad. “DAD!” Watching as Sonic got closer, “MOVE, STEP BA–”
It shattered, the crystal shattered. Luckily your vehicle took most of the hit but the light was blinding, but you were able to get a final glance at your father before passing out.

“Ughh…” Turning your head away as lights from above moved over you, being too bright as you woke up. Holding your head as you sat up, quicking looking behind you when you heard footsteps. Finding a pale blue hedgehog leave the shadows, clothes looking very familiar. “Y/N,” Hands helping you stand, “Are you alright?” “Yeah, I think…” “I’ll try to explain, but let’s get somewhere safe… safer.”
As soon as you both turned to walk further into the alley, the spotlights from earlier shined down on you two. Not scanning past like earlier, “Unidentied citizens, alert, alert.” Barely able to see a small robot fly down, a rotor on its head. That one would be easy enough to outrun, right?
“You are in violation of city ordinance 34 C-2” Huh? Looking behind you to find two different, larger robots floating around. With even more in the entrance, “By the authority of the Chaos Concil, stand down or be disassembled.” Panicking, even surrounded by a bunch of robots Neo pulled you closer.
You could only guess what you looked like right now, unlike the group of Eggmen who didn't have to guess. They either stood or sat in front of the screen, something about you was… compelling, but they didn’t know what it was. It was like seeing a long time friend or family member after years of not seeing them. One stepped forward, sending a single instruction to the robots. “Bring them both to the Council.”
On the other end, you watched one of the robots eye switch slightly, zoning out before becoming normal again. At that it reached forward while one behind you did the same, both reaching out and grabbing you and Neo. No matter how much you struggled they kept a tight grasp on you both, only letting go when they brought you into a weirdly familiar building. You haven’t seen it before, sure, but the vibe was, very similar.
Even then the robots stood right next to you, though you and Neo were able to hold each other. “Look what the hedgehog dragged in!” Turning to find 5, no 3 men, 1 teenager and a baby, waiting for you two. “And it looks like he brought a little friend.” The blue haired one was eyeing you, and god was it uncomfortable, even through his sunglasses you knew.
“You Egghead, that’s not the right badger!” “Hedgehog! And you're wrong, we finally get our hands on him and you–” Yeah, you weren’t listening to that, and clearly not watching either. As suddenly lasers moved, scanning you and Neo quickly. The results automatically pulled up on a nearby screen, which showed the obvious, to you at least, not that the others realised.
“Hah, see! I was right!” “Shut up,” Finding it was the teenager, who was also engrossed in his device. “Just use the memory gun to find out if it’s really him.” Said gun was passed by one of the robots, “Of course, going through his memories, his life, we can find the things he holds dear and use them against him!”
Someone else took the gun, shooting it at Neo. Only for it to not work, it did shut off his disguise. The fur and clothes changed into his actual form, there was a quick moment of shock before the gun was turned on you. This time it worked, sending the screen into a flurry of memories. From your early life and into your teenage years, your father was in nearly every moment, up until the crystal that caused your current issue.
This also caused your mobian form to disappear, which also brought back your original clothing. Said clothing was so similar to the Councils. “Isn’t that a striking outfit?” “Well now we have t–” Words were cut short as they turned to the screen, it was Sonic running throughout the city. Maybe he could help you two get back to your original world, hopefully.
“Get these two to their room!” “Our room?” “Why yes, we can’t be having Council members running out and about in the city.” “Uh–” Catching Neo’s eyes, “Show us the way then.”

This is a really old pic, I apparently posted this to DA January 3, 2013. This was also drawn with a mouse & the background comes from the first episode of Sonic Underground.
I drew this because at some point on TV Tropes(at the time of posting this on DA) I saw that it said Sonic's name was Olgilvie Maurice or something & it was funny to me. I added "Sonikku" to the name because it felt fitting to be in his name.
I want to mention my version(at least in Lost Prince AU) of Sonic's name is now Arthur, Maurice is Manic's name cause who names their kid "Manic"?(Inspired by the fanfic Sonadow Alliance)
So for some context this is how my version of Sonic looked when he still lived with his first set of adopted parents before Chuck took him in. He was just a care free kid living in the woods with his parents & didn't think much on if anyone thought anything on his appearance. Also big thick glasses that the loss of would probably lead to some issues later on.
Sonic & his dad would sometimes go frog(non-mobian ones) hunting which kind of leads to this scene. Sonic decided to go frog hunting & it led to him going into an area that everyone living in nearby refuses to go due to Robotnik having a base over there. Sonic knows that people see that area as bad luck but he's a distracted kid.
I dunno why his mom is calling him but at a later point I started imagining this was due to Sonic being in the forbidden area. It doesn't really make sense cause I don't think she knows he's over there(she's calling for him, I don't think she's gone outside yet nor could stand in a place to see her son is near the base everyone says makes people disappear) so I'm guessing Sonic forgot to do something & she's mad cause he should have dealt with whatever before going frog hunting.(Probably something she's asked him to do a few times so he has no excuse, I dunno)
Sonic thanks to his speed is able to get home but it seems that he sealed his fate unintentionally by going over to one of Robotnik's bases.
I oddly don't recall giving Sonic the hairclips that have Sonia & Manic's colors. I mostly remember constantly giving him the purple one with it being a reminder of Aleena that even if post-SU Sonic doesn't remember knows it's a reminder of his mom. The red thing is the string to Sonic's medallion.

Into, Across and Beyond! Scripting: A Hero's Grief
This scene takes place during the More than One Universe storyline.
OMT!Tails: So much pain I couldn't prevent, but s-should have been able to... First losing Sonic, then Alice suffering memory loss, Uma being used as a weapon against me, and n-now S-Sally... ... I should've been a b-better hero for all of them... I guess... if S-Sonic was still here, t-then I wouldn't have g-gone through the hell I d-did...
During his lament in this world outside of MP-2021, out of nowhere, a ghost of Sonic (at least, his Mobiverse counterpart) showed up, spooking Tails a bit.
OMT!Tails: OH MY GOD ITS A GHOST!!!
MV!Sonic: What? No, I’m a spirit… a dead spirit if you must.
OMT!Tails: W-Whose Sonic are you?
???: That would be mine.
Mobiverse Tails came out from one of the blocky sections of rubble, coming to see his younger counterpart.
OMT!Tails: A-Another me?
MV!Tails: Surprised, huh? I would be too, seeing a younger version of myself in a lonely place like this. But that’s not important right now. Somebody told me you were here, and I’m getting you back to your companions.
MV!Sonic: What are you even doing in a place like this?
OMT!Tails: I've... been through a LOT, and... it's really hard for me to be the hero my home needs with so much tragedy...
MV!Sonic: Heh. You're not the only Tails who felt like that...
OMT!Tails: I guess you ended up dead too...
MV!Sonic: Yeah… at Mammoth Mogul's slimy hands, no doubt. But hey! At least an old mentor of mine helped me learn how to communicate spiritually. Still gotta get back at her for beating me in chess.
OMT!Tails: H-How are you both able to stay so optimistic, even after a painful loss like this...? You make it look really easy, as did S-Sonic...
MV!Tails: Well… we recovered. After Mogul's downfall, our Mobius found peace and gave the position to a new Mobian. Sure, it wasn’t easy, but it showed us that a new legacy and heritage can pass on, and that could happen to you. Your Sonic may be gone, but it’s not too late to keep your home safe.
OMT!Tails: I could... still be able to inherit my Sonic's legacy?
MV!Tails nodded.
MV!Tails: Sonic has always told me I should believe in myself. He’s taught me many things and is the reason I’m here today. Sure he may be gone, and Mammoth Mogul left many scars not only on me, but the entire population on my Mobius. But that doesn’t mean I should cower in fear like I’ve always done when I was a kid. I should always stand up for myself, and that’s what Sonic would have wanted for me and my friends to do. Me and Antho live on his legacy, everyone on my Mobius has.
MV!Sonic smiled proudly, happy for his sidekick coming this far.
OMT!Tails: Heh, I guess so. I... really appreciate you being here for me.
MV!Tails: No problem! Now let's get moving. Your friends are waiting for you, and you've got work to be doing.
OMT!Tails: Of course. I mean, I know I can't do this particular feat on my own. I'm gonna need all the help I can get.
???: Did somebody say "help"?
Behind them was the silhouette of another hedgehog.
MV!Tails: So, are we ready to save the multiverse?
The silhouette slowly revealed itself... as Antho.
Antho: Let's-a go!
A comic strip for the Mobiverse lands on the pile alongside the other eight trinkets thus far.
"Alright, let’s back it up from here. My name is Anthony Miller the Hedgehog, or just "Antho", for short, and for the past year or so, I and a group of friends have become the new heroes of my Mobius. But it wasn’t always like that you see.
You see, I was just your average normal nerdy hedgehog until something with a super collider changed my appearance and gave me some knowledge of a multiverse or something. Oh, and I’m pretty sure there was a T-Rex-. Oh no, wait! That was added to the script to make it more dramatic.
Anyways, aside from that. It was also the day we lost our Sonic… and I saw it with my own eyes… thanks to that monster, Mammoth Mogul. Ever since then, the Dark Ages happened, and I was never the same again. But not until I stood up and took vengeance against Mogul himself and since then, I’ve restored the faith of Mobius, met new friends and allies, some of which I can now consider family, and am now living in our beloved hero’s legacy.
But despite that, it's still kinda hard work, and I sometimes feel like I can’t live up to Sonic’s standards and how he was the saviour of us all. But deep down, I know he's proud of me, and having my friends, family and the main cast by my side has helped.
I can’t be the next Sonic, even if some otherworldly hedgehog says otherwise. But this is my world and my rules. And I’m doing my own thing, whether you like it or not."
(Mobiverse Tails and Sonic, alongside Antho, are owned by SFG1235.)

Species File #2: Mizutsune (CLASSIFIED)
"I am taking special care to password lock this file. Due to the behavior and special abilities of the following creature...I wish to hide this information from reaching our world's equal to a certian mad platypus. If I can...I wish to prevent what I already know is coming but I will do all in my power to prevent our world's Starline from getting any advantage.
The following contents pertain to a creature I found nearly perfectly preserved within the Black Swamp. Mummified and then fossilized for what must be millions of years but in perfect condition to the point I am able to tell the color of its skin and even recover useable cells. This particular subject....has extremely close features that resemble that of a non-Mobian fox and even possesses some fur. My fear is that.... Starline may take the genetic samples from this specimen and use it in his...er...her own work.
Before I continue...To Starline's victims or...I guess to those he should never have messed with heh. The tenrec and the fennec fox, if you are listening to this because of something my research caused... I am so...SO sorry. Yes, I knew what she was planning. Yes, I tried to stop it. And...I assume I failed if you are here now. I did my best to hide this from her but as a paleontologist, I am required by trade to document my findings. If you really need to know... perhaps the following information will be of use to you...Good luck.

The creature is named Mizutune, paying tribute to the legendary kitsune. The nine tailed immortal fox of the Dragon Kingdom's mythology. This beast appears to be mostly reptilian with scales and flat plates covering its head....but its skeleton and possession of fur suggest a more mammilian link. I admit this is the first creature in my collection that has me absolutely stumped on how to classify it. For now I have taken to labeling it: Fox wyvern. For the sake of covering both possibilities.
My current specimen is notably male, displaying vivid pink and red fin like plates across its skull and back. These fins assist with directing the movement of water across and over its scales while it's fur is mainly covering the underside of its tail. I have found notable amounts of a mucus covering much of its body, this has helped preserve the body over the centuries. I have synthizied a mock up of this secretion, frankly it may as well be a highly durable soap. Rendering the surroundings and the Mizutune slippery and nigh uncatchable. Perhaps used to trip up both prey and predator, hard to fight back when you lack good footing.
The more interesting is the possession of an organ that not only contains vast amounts of water for the creation of this mucus, but is bound to extremely powerful muscles in the Mizutune's chest and abdomen. When tensed, this organ pressurizes the water it contains allowing the creature to shoot out a blast of water powerful enough to punch through most tough hides and possibly chip stone. A natural version of a pressure washer... cuts right through just about anything of its time period.
To accommodate for this power, the skull and jaw of the Mizutune have joints that allow it to open its mouth almost a full ninety degrees. Allowing the water jet to escape without risking harm to itself. Its scales, fins, and mucus allow for fine locomotion around its space....however the fur and thickness of its tail suggest it was used as a counter balance for when the creature uses its aquatic weaponry.
This Aqua Sac, as I have called it, is the adaptation that I wish to keep away from Starline. Even if not fully incorperated, such a trait suggests that it is possible to tailor a vulpine's body to be more accepting of the hydrokinetic power artifically. Assuming that some vulpine Mobians today are descended from this creature. All one would need do is awaken any dormant genes within a subject that were inherited from the Mizutune to a specimen to make the vulpine's body more naturally inclined to use such power.
There was a time when I might have tested such a theory myself... the serum to awaken such genes has been scrapped.......but...I still have the formula. I have left it no where that SHE can find it... I alone know the make up for it. But if she did something of her own and you are hoping to find some kind of dampener to calm whatever rogue genes that fool awakened...that I have made and left recorded here.
To you both...I know not who you were, nor what she has done. But if you want help in managing what she has done....I am willing to give it. Your creation is nothing like that of that of other world's versions of you. You have additions that I can sense coming even long before such experiments are a glimmer in her eyes.

Hit Play on that CD!
Verse: None, I don't include pre-roboticized Sonic as a verse, soz! The start to ITA's version of Sonic CD. Introduces Amy's time travel, and how Sonic is able to do it on Little Planet! Word Count: 2,023 Edited graciously by multimusewonderland!
------
With a chili dog in hand, Sonic parked himself on a bench near the cart he had gotten his well-deserved treat from. He had spent the better half of the afternoon taking out stray badniks, and was ready for a quick break before he either went back into the fray, or did a bit of running.
He ruminated the chili dog over every bite; it was fine. Could have used a little more spice, but the chili texture was great, and he could see himself getting it again sometime in the future. Perfect amount of onion, just the right amount of ground beef. Could have used more pepper, especially jalapeno… But good overall. And as a bonus, the savory aroma masked the stench of the city, especially the foul odor of cars.
As he started to dig into his treat, he watched people as they walked by--humans and mobians alike. The city was filled to the brim with both; it was fascinating to see the wide diversity of people that were out there, with their various outfits and fascinating levels of energy.
There was one mobian--a pink hedgehog, as a matter of fact--that caught his attention. She had a lot more energy than the average mobian, yet not quite as much as he did. He started to turn his attention elsewhere when she had taken notice of him as well. In the corner of his eye, he could see her smile grow, and an excited wave being thrown into the air, but he didn't immediately assume that either of those were for him. He continued to eat and watch when that hedgehog ran up to his side.
“Hi!” she greeted excitedly, her smile growing when he turned towards her. “You're Sonic the Hedgehog, aren't you?”
He flicked his thumb over his nose, giving her a smile as he finished off his mouthful. “In the flesh!” he exclaimed. She seemed like a fan. He had gotten a few of those in recent, and it was frankly odd being a sort of celebrity. Still, he could put on a little show!
She hopped from one foot to the other, reeling in her flapping hands by pressing her palms against her cheeks. It was hard to tell if she was physically capable of smiling any bigger at this point. “I'm your biggest fan!” She chirped excitedly. “My name is Amy Rose!”
“Nice to meet you, Amy!”
Lowering her hands, Amy started to fiddle with the hem of her skirt, still beaming. “You think it would be okay if we hung out sometime?”
Sonic tilted his head to one side, lowering the hand that held his chili dog ever so slightly, “Hang out?” He echoed, “What do you mean by that?”
The other hedgehog's face seemed to immediately light up in red, and if her fingers worried her skirt any more she might start fraying it soon. “Oh--I don't know,” she muttered in an embarrassed way. “I guess I didn't think I would get this far,” she laughed stiffly.
Sonic shrugged. “Well, what's there to do around here?” he asked. “I'm not really familiar with this place.”
That seemed to perk her right back up, and Sonic put on a bigger smile in response. She stopped fiddling with her skirt and started to count on her fingers. “Oh wow! Okay, uh, there's plenty! There's a really cool park in the middle of the city with a great forest walk. There's also a casino with fun arcade games for kids like us to play. There's lots and lots of food, more than just the chili dog stand you went to.” She winked and held up a finger towards her cheek as if trying to tell a secret, “And between you and me, there's also a really great fortune teller around!”
Sonic lifted an eyebrow, “Fortune teller? Really?” He'd never met one of those before. He knew what they did, but he never really had the use for their services. Knowing the future kinda took the wind out of his sails!
Amy spun around, giggling, “That's me!” She announced cheerfully. “I do fortune readings of any kind. I would love to be able to do a reading for you, if you want to know about something like love, or even if you can defeat Robotnik one day!“
“I don't really need to know about any of that.” He laughed in reply, “Knowing how and when I beat the guy takes a lot of the fun out of it, y’know?”
She seemed to deflate. “Oh right, of course! S-sorry.”
He didn't really like to see her frown like that; it didn't feel right. He wasn't fussed about anything like love, but he may as well humor her, he figured. “Go ahead with a love reading, I guess!” He shrugged casually. “It could be fun to know if I got any of that in my future. But nothing specific--no spoilers, okay? Just a yes or no!”
The smile practically slapped itself back onto Amy's face, and she nodded briskly, “Of course, of course! There are plenty of people who like readings like that. You're not alone.” She folded her hands together, intertwining her fingers, and she closed her eyes and bowed her head ever so slightly.
Her energy started to swell, growing in strength, as well as volume. Her rose-shaped energy started to branch off into multiple other roses that repeated the process over and over again, until it seemed as though the entire area, not just her body, was covered in floral fractals.
And suddenly she vanished, making Sonic jolt.
Before he could so much as blink, however, she reappeared. Her eyes fluttered open, and while they were still folded, she lowered her hands slightly. She gave him a quizzical look, apparently utterly confused by whatever she had seen. He wasn’t sure if that was a good or a bad thing, but it made him lean forward ever so slightly.
“Well, that's weird…” she started.
Before Sonic could ask what she saw, his ears turned towards the south side of the city, where he could hear an annoyingly familiar sound. His eyes narrowed, and he sprung off of the bench, clutching his chili dog as he stared at the sky indignantly.
This only confused Amy further, but as the sound of Robotnik's saucer grew louder and louder, it seemed as though she quickly got the picture, shrinking back behind Sonic's side.
Robotnik's laughter carried across the city, and soon everyone's attention was turned towards the sky, with a few humans looking this way and that before they located the source. A small uproar erupted around Sonic, with people expressing concern, fear, and even frustration at the doctor’s presence.
“Well! You just made yourself a lot easier to find!” Robotnik proclaimed, “Took a bit of looking, but I finally found you, little pest!”
Eggman sat tall, boldly grinning down at Sonic with one hand at his side, and the other hand leaning against the edge of his saucer.
“Not like you ever had trouble finding me before!” Sonic taunted, “You slipping or something, old man?”
Robotnik’s smile turned into a sneer, and he glared at the blue hedgehog from underneath his glasses. “Not you, hyperactive blue rat; I'm talking about your new friend there! The little pink hedgehog--I ought to have figured you were friends!” He pointed a gloved hand down towards Amy.
The girl shrank further behind Sonic, who, after casting a glance back at her, threw out an arm in-between her and Robotnik. He shot a glare up at the doctor. It didn't take a rocket scientist to deduce that Robotnik would want to be in possession of someone who could see the future, but even that seemed a little out of character for the old coot…
Robotnik continued, “Your time travel abilities will suit my plans quite nicely! Come along quietly--or else.”
Sonic blinked, looking at Amy again, who had screwed her eyes shut, looking ashamed. Suddenly, this whole thing made a lot more sense.
Scarfing down the rest of his chili dog, Sonic shouted. “As if I'd ever let you get your hands on her! You’d better un-scramble your brain if you thought you would!” He started to rev up a spin bash, but shortly after hearing the charging of an engine, which he assumed was Robotnik’s saucer, Sonic was suddenly struck with what felt like the entirety of a freight train, knocking him back several feet, his spines scraping harshly against the pavement.
“Sonic!” Amy cried out, her voice just above the concern and shouts of the crowd forming around them. Then she said something strange: “It's the robot I saw when I…!”
The blue hedgehog sprung upwards, but barely had the chance to get a good look at his assailant before sharp metal claws raked across his cheek, knocking him onto his side and sending him reeling with pain--as if the tackle wasn't enough!
Before he could retaliate, the metal force rocketed away, followed shortly by a high-pitched scream from Amy. Chaos broke out in the crowd, pounding against Sonic’s ears with shouts, cries, screams, and cheers for him to do what was right. Despite any pain he felt, Sonic was immediately at the ready, green eyes scouring the area for either his attacker or Amy. He found both of them in the sky, rocketing away towards Robotnik, who was laughing maniacally, looking prouder of himself than normal. Amy was in the clutches of a blue robot, her head and arm over his shoulder and reaching out towards Sonic, crying out in alarm and squirming desperately in her captor's arms. She pounded her fists against the metal head of the robot, to little avail.
Grimacing, Sonic got himself to his feet, ignoring the blood trickling down his cheek. Eyes scouring the area once again, he tried to figure out the best way to get up to her: a short sprint, a jump here, a spin dash there, and in no time at all, he was launched into the sky using the city’s geometry. However, the robot was shockingly fast, much faster than any other badnik that Robotnik had built to date. Even with all of his own speed, Sonic couldn't catch up. He uncurled, giving up on tackling the robot out of the sky, and instead tried to grab hold of Amy's hand.
But their fingers just barely grazed against each other.
And as he fell back towards the ground, he could feel all of those rose fractals once again, this time filling him up to the brim as if she had passed her energy on to him.
He was utterly confused, but before he hit the ground, he curled into a ball and landed roughly in the grass. Uncurling, he watched as Robotnik left, finally getting a better look at the attacker and kidnapper.
It looked distinctly like a metal version of himself, sharp, angular, and blue.
No wonder it was so fast.
They vanished into the great blue above, and Sonic couldn't help but pound his fist into the grass, clenching his teeth. If only he were faster! Yet how wasn't he fast enough? He was the fastest thing alive; he should have been able to save her in a snap!
He got back to his feet, and as he did, he heard a loud wail behind him. He turned and was met with an older lavender-shaded hedgehog with roses of all colors woven into her spines. She fell onto her knees a few feet away, staring desperately at the spot in the sky where Amy had vanished, tears spilling from her large green eyes.
“Amy, my dear precious Amy!” She cried, her voice cracking into the air. Her face fell into her hands, and she began to sob, a few humans and mobians approaching her to soothe her with words or with hands on her back.
Sonic stepped closer. “Don't worry, ma'am,” he said, “I'll get Amy back!”
Before getting a response, he turned on his heel, started a peelout, and sprinted out of the city, numerous cheers at his heels.

"...ich spreche kleine Deutsch...sehr kleine." They could guess from how easily Volt had dropped into it-- that he knew a lot of German. "...anyyyyy chance you could teach me a bit more, some time?" May as well ask while they had the chance- who knew if- or when- they'd get another opportunity.
Both eyes were drawn towards the strange image- another version of Shadow--- but that one...looked decidedly different. Enough to tell the two apart, even from a glance- but it was still strange to see the same--- mobian- there that was sitting beside Cedar, now.
"Black Arms?" Was that part of what was in himself? After all, the two did have similar markings...he could guess from that, as well as the fact the scientists had once hypothesized he was a 'hedgehog', whatever that was. "I know I am part hedgehog- but I am unsure of the rest. The scientists that studied me were never able to identify any other strand of animal DNA, but there was something else."
Nova managed to order for himself and Cedar- reading off what they pointed to before the hostess gathered all their menus and excused herself.
It didn't help that he couldn't remember his life before he landed on Earth. No doubt there would be some answers in that forgotten past- where he came from, why he was sent here.-- But without anything to go off of,...he'd just do what he could.
"...I suppose it would help to have a separate name to be apart from other Shadows..." He trailed, an ear flicking at the thought. "...give me time, I will come up with something."
"So do you--- get fluffier under a full moon or something?" They couldn't resist- the teen had, after all, said 'werehog' was part of what she was. At least they knew they weren't quite an alien- they were a mobian,...which seemed to be some kind of anthropomorphized hybrid of varying animal species. At least- that was the guess. But if that were true- then what animal species had they become? "Another world...I'd say that'd take some getting used to, but given what all's been goin' on th' last while." They shrugged.
It probably would have been Earth-shattering even last night- but so many unexpected things had happened that Cedar was starting to feel a little numb to it all. They'd recover- but they needed time for that.
"Still- it's pretty cool t'meet otherworlders! N' here I thought that was jus' somethin' for science fiction."
Seeing the look of pain, Volt’s expression shifted to concern. He made a mental note to show them how to properly wring out their fur at some point. Then again, he had to mentally remind himself that they said it themselves, that they had been human once and would need a lot more help in understanding some things about their new form.
For now, he’d focus on getting all of them up to speed on what in the source had happened to bring them all together. It had to be a coincidence, but something told him that they were needed here if his ring had dropped them where it had.
Before his mind could travel too far off, a familiar language graced his ears, and he couldn’t help the chuckle or smile. “Jetzt gibt es eine Sprache, die ich fließend spreche. But ‘s no problem.”
As they sat, Harmony took to looking over the menu, as Volt was more focused on the conversation. The fight had worked up the teen’s appetite, and Volt knew that.
Plus, the conversation made it easier for him to forget they were surrounded by humans.
“Well, let’s start with the simple answer. Harmony and I, we’re from another dimension.” He gave it a moment to sink in before continuing. “We call them Zones, but that doesn’t change what they are. In our Zone, we have another version o’ you.”
One finger gestured towards Shadow. “An alternate if ya will.”
It was at this point that he pulled his handheld from his belt and tried to open the Freedom Fighter archives. The connection was unstable, earning a frown but he at least was able to get an image of the Shadow from their world. The main difference from them being the large scar across his chest, along with patches of fur matching the hybrid’s on one arm and leg. He put it away as the waitress approached them to ask for their order.
No need for more eyes than necessary to see this information. He let Harmony order for him while he answered Cedar’s question.

“As for what we are.” Again, a thumb gestured between father and daughter. “We’re hybrids o’ Mobians.”

"Yeh. Dad's got hedgehog, fox, and Black Arms in 'im. I got werehog and hedgehog."

Today’s oneshot is from the Kitching & Elson dream team and-
…Oh, this story is excellent. I know this one. I almost don’t even want to talk about it and just tell you all to go read it yourselves, but that’s not what this blog is here for
So, the premise of this story is that a young mobian kid has been sneaking into an abandoned building to meet up with his friend, a Roller badnik. Now, I’m sure you can guess how this’ll go, but let’s press on
I love the framing of this. The heroic character of Sonic is presented in a somewhat sinister way in that second panel to represent that he does pose a threat to this one kid, just by doing what he always does to protect the world. And how easily Smokey lies to him in order to protect his friend. It’s a great setup
These guys are also here
Sonic tells the kid to run, but instead of being relieved that Sonic’s here to save him from the dangerous trooper robots, Smokey is scared that Sonic will destroy the Roller badnik if he finds it
Sure enough, Sonic sees the badnik and instantly wants to protect Smokey from it. Why would he think any different?
A wayward trooper finds them and the Roller badnik tries to hide Smokey inside its shell to protect him, which does look pretty bad from Sonic’s POV
It’s sometimes mentioned about Kitching that he preferred to use Sonic 2 references in the comic, so I kind of like that the one time he specifically uses a Sonic 1 badnik in a story is to make a point of this being an older version that won’t be much trouble for Sonic to take down
Sonic’s day just got weirder as his worldview is brought into question by this kid being such good friends with a badnik that he’d lay down his life to protect it
Now this is interesting. We skip to the next day and for the first time, we see some troopers just talking to a mobian. So far, we’ve only seen them used to attack people and round them up to be turned into badniks, so I didn’t consider that there are just people living amongst these badniks and going about their everyday lives, so long as Robotnik doesn’t want to turn them into badniks at that exact moment
But don’t worry! Problem’s solved and the badnik’s dead! So much for friendship amirite?
…Nah, just kidding! The badnik is fine and can even talk! I like that in this outcome you don’t hear directly how Sonic responded to the situation, you just know that he left these two alone. It’s a great way to use the minimal page count to your advantage and add an air of intrigue to the story You never see these two again, but you don’t really need to. This story does what it sets out to do and that’s that. It’s definitely one that I feel I could give to any random Sonic fan to read without needing any other knowledge of the rest of the series. And yes, you can nitpick the whole “Wait, isn’t there a person inside that badnik?” thing, like people did with Belle’s Motobud, but that really isn’t the point of this short and sweet story. It's one that I think has stood the test of time very well
