I’m writing a poolverine fic right now and am very tempted to add a very funny looking cat, so like Wade brought home the funny looking dog and then Logan brings home the funny looking cat, I’m particularly inspired because there is an “ugly” cat on BC spca shelter website that I’m a little obsessed with, I think I can make it fit but I’m a little iffy if it would feel right, what do you think

#yes he has a crumpled ear#my cat hates other cats so I unfortunately couldn’t get him#I just like browsing the website#but he did have an adoption pending last I checked#so I’m sure he’ll go to a loving home#the fix is post canon so dogpool is already their dog when the cat comes into the picture#I’m not gonna give anything else about the fic away#you have to vote with little to no context on the fic#poolverine#deadpool and wolverine#deadclaws#dogpool#just a warning things would start off pretty rough for this cat#but obviously happy ending where the cat would move in with them and live happily ever after#being besties with dogpool#the cat also wouldn’t be like the main focus of the fic#the fic is very stable on its own without the cat#I just feel like it would be fun

I see a lot of users on here don't have the custom theme option enabled (if you check their blog, it's only '@[usernamehere]') and it makes me a bit sad everytime i see it :[
#a part of me does get it bc most people dont really check blogs anymore beyond that default view#another sad sign of mobile use becoming the default in online spaces. man ik i sound old but ough.....#or they dont know they can do that. or just come from websites that dont have that many options for customizations#it can due to many reasons i cant list them all here. but idk i remember when i was younger like;#checkin a new blog also meant to see what theme they picked. or maybe they made it themselves!! etc#some of them were simple others were beautiful some others absolutely killed your eyes etc#i remember i used to change my theme depending on the season!!! a new season meant browsing for a new theme and it was always cool to see#--all the cool options people made#anyway at the end of the day is up to user and what they find comfortable. so if their choice in that option is to not do it thats fine obv#yomiel speaks

#i almost got pittt but ticketmaster RIPPED it away from me with the whole ''your browsing's paused'' bs and when i reloaded the page#EVERYTHING WAS GONE#but i messaged my friend who i was planning on going with and he said he bought an extra so i still got one 😔#and you'd think that was the end of it but i tried to venmo him and it sent it to SOME RANDOM DUDE#and venmo's customer service is atrocious it kept sending me in circles on the website and the robot on the phone#but i googled it and there was some reddit page that was like call the number#and then press 4 and then press 9 and it'll let you talk to a real human person#and it's all good now it's fine everything's fine#ticket got. money in the right spot.#it was just a lot to go through before noon as someone who usually doesn't even wake up til like 1-2#kyra's ramblings

there really is a genre of post of people who's online experiences are Not Universal making some wild claims
#like that post that claimed sites like neopets didnt exist anymore#or that there arent roleplaying forums anywhere#etc etc#like. yes it is possible to go on the internet and only go on like. the big social medias#but there ARE still many other sites outside that that are very worth checking out#hell. flash game websites and similar still very much exist!!#postatoes#like. i just feel sympathy for the OP when i see those posts because the posts are always so sad#over a nostalgia that is still there if you walk outside of the walmart of social medias and look for holes in the wall#like. has the internet changed? absolutely. but so much of the posts are less about that and more like.#the person browses the internet as an adult in a different way than they did as a kid#they arent looking up ''cool games'' and downloading a virus on their computer#as a counterpoint maybe kids DONT look this stuff up now and stick to tiktok or w/e /are missing out on so many fun websites#i wouldnt know#but it does bug me when i see people say these sites are gone forever when they arent

the state of online streaming piracy these days is fucking abysmal........
#half the servers never work and the ones that do are always the ones without subtitles#and theyre all made to have such sleek interfaces i dont NEED that#like this used to be SO easy#you could find ANYTHING#give me websites that look like they havent been changed since the early 2000s that arent trying to mimic netflix#and finding subtitles has always been trickier but there was a while there where you COULD get subtitles pretty reliably#the best website for actually finding stuff. in my experience is primewire. which still looks old and nonfancy#unfortunately theres no built in subtitles on anything#theres often a list of subtitle files you can download and theoretically upload to what youre watching#but i can never get it to work reliably#anyway i tried to watch newsies on my friends disneyplyus and it just played the audio over a black screen#im wondering if thats how theyre doing their anti-password sharing lmao. bc it let me log in and browse. but then did that.#r.txt#im willing to download things but my HARD DRIVE BROKE

hate hate hate how you have to make a twitter account to see ppls tweets now. like I deleted mine for a reason (rancid bad vibes + more ads and bots than posts) but some artists I like are ONLY on twt and :( man... I get how annoying having 23434 social medias to post stuff on is. im not really annoyed at the artists who do that (just having 1 place for their art) but im annoyed at the websites that do this -_- let me innn

one very mild divide between gen z and younger and millennials is that millennials will use the word "website" while younger people almost always say "app". like do you call twitter a "website" or an "app"? it always sticks out to me soo much when people do this idk.

i'm going to a queer school event tomorrow but i'm literally feeling so paranoid about it. what if my mom checks life360 while i'm there, then looks up which event is at that location, and puts the very obvious two and two together. if i put on airplane mode to freeze my location, what if she texts me and freaks out when i don't respond for a good few hours. what if a family friend somehow spots me there and passes the information along. i really wanna go and connect with other queer people here but holy SHIT the thought i could inadvertently out myself simply by taking my phone along is terrifying.

Hey sorry in advance if it has been asked before but why do show cats have these funny names? Is there a show cat naming law, why havent i seen a cat named mr poop fartington yet
Show cat names have to be entirely unique so breeders have to get creative, usually they want to represent themselves within the name (I don’t think this is a requirement, though? Just standard practice?) which helps a little bit, so you can have Manxzana’s Kiwi and Tailless Beau-T’s Kiwi for example.
Sometimes you’ll have a cat with two cattery names because they’ll be produced by one then sold to another or they’ll be born to a queen of one cattery and the stud will have belonged to another, etc. So in this case you might have Tailless Beau-T’s Kiwi of Manxzana for example.
I don’t know the exact details on the restrictions surrounding registered name requirements beside having to be unique, it does seem to be fairly lenient in subject matter. There’s a champion Persian named Cocaine Cake, I can’t remember out of what cattery though.
There’s presumably a character limit, you probably wouldn’t get away with naming your cat the entire bee movie script for example…
