"So you and Robin, ay?" Eddie asked as he and Chrissy sat around scribbling into notebooks one evening.

"Oh hush, it's nothing, just a handful of dates is all" Chrissy blushed.

"Yeah, sure, a handful of dates. We both know what that means for lesbians. You'll be married by the end of the week." Eddie laughed, poking her side.

"I'm bisexual you biphobic ass" Chrissy responded. "But yes, only a handful of dates."

"You clearly like her, Chris, you need to ask her out officially. Do something romantic and ask her the next time you go down on her or something" Eddie shrugged, picking up his dragon slayer and strumming out a few chords.

"Eww! Dont be so crass." Chrissy squeaked.

Eddie laughed and continued to go between playing and writing for a few more minutes.

"Chris, we need to be playing to people, we need a band" Eddie sighed.

"We do, we really do. We need a few more people. Robin can play the guitar really well and it would be a good excuse for me to pick my bass back up, I really should play it more."

"Ok, so we have 2 guitarists and a bassist, as well as 2 singers." Eddie counted on his fingers.

"I'll speak to Robs tomorrow and see what she says if you want?" Chrissy said as she continued to write lyrics in her notebook.

The following day Chrissy was sat out by Lovers Lake with Robin, something they did most days after school. They spent time talking about their days, working on homework and making out as much as they could.

"Birdie, me and Eddie were doing some songwriting last night when we discussed being in a band. We were wondering if you wanted to join us and start a band. I can play bass, you and Eddie can play guitar and Eddie can sing." Chrissy asked.

"Oh, that could be so fun! I would love to bunny" Robin answered kissing Chrissy.

"Steve can play the drums so I could ask him to join too if that's ok? It could be even more fun with him in the band too. We need a place to practice and we need to start getting gigs and then keep working our way up!" Robin rambled making Chrissy giggle.

"Sure baby, we can ask Steve to join. I'll let Eddie know when I see him next. It'll be great. We can do band practice at mine, we can use one of the garages." she smiled at the girl in front of her.

"I spoke to Robin, she's excited to join us and she's suggested Steve joins as well, I've said it's ok but that I would tell you when I next see you." Chrissy told Eddie later that week when they met up again for their weekly movie evening.

"Steve?" Eddie questions as he sets chips into a bowl.

"Harrington, yes" Chrissy replied as she picked the bowl up and curled into the corner of the couch with it.

"Absolutely not, not that top 40, granddad rock-listening jock." Eddie huffed and went to grab another bowl for more chips, knowing full well he had no chance of getting the others back from Chrissy. He was secretly happy about this though, she was eating much better recently.

"He plays the drums and is into punk you ass, can we at least try with him?" Chrissy asked, looking up at him with her big bright eyes that she knew worked.

"Fine," Eddie grumbled "but I'm not happy about it at all."

"Just see how it is at mine next week." she smiled as Eddie got comfy and they started the film. "Not to mention I remember you having a crush on him all those years ago." she winked.

"Oh hush you, you menace of a pixie" Eddie laughed, reaching for the remote and pressing play on the film they had set up to watch.

"So," Robin started as she slid into the dining booth opposite Steve for their weekly fries and milkshake bitchfest. "I was talking to Chrissy the other day and she and Eddie are starting a band, I'm joining them. I want you to join us too. It could be so fun."

"Munson?" was all Steve said looking at her.

"Yes, Munson." Robin sighed. "Will you at least think about it?"

"Yeah ok, anything for you and your little girlfriend," Steve said, sounding very falsely put out by this.

"She's not my girlfriend" Robin hissed at him. "Just come to hers next week and see how practice goes please."

"You know I'll be there, you'll need a lift there and back. I'm not trusting Munson in that death wagon to keep you safe." Steve replied, starting to eat the food that had been placed in front of him.

"Oh dingus, I remember you used to have a crush on him, what happened to that?" Robin cackled.

"I never had a crush on him, don't be stupid." Steve replied unconvincingly.

"Steve said he'll join us in the band," Robin announced to Chrissy as they sat down to eat lunch together a couple of days later.

"Is he as excited as Eddie is?" Chrissy giggled, picking at her salad.

"Oh yes, very," Robin laughed. "They'll be fine when we can get them together and playing some music"

"I can't wait to get playing and be able to spend more time with you" Chrissy blushed.

"Me neither, it's going to be so fun. I really hope we make it big. It would be so awesome to make our dreams come together." Robin smiled.

"Urg stop being so cute when I can't grab you and kiss you, got to save that for later. Want to stay over mine tonight?" Chrissy asked.

"Erm, yeah, of course" The other girl stuttered.

"Good, we can have loads of fun," Chrissy winked.

"I'll need to head to mine for a little while after my last class, let my parents know, and grab a bag of things," Robin said, trying to hide behind her food.

STEDDIE HEADCANON (set nowadays because I say so):

- After a lot of talking, begging and insisting, Dustin got Steve into his Discord server.

- Robin was already there but she stays in her own chat, sharing some arts and sharing LGBT related posts from Instagram and Twitter. Even though it looks random, all the party members read it. Specially Will, Max, El and Mike.

- Chrissy, Nancy and Jonathan are also there but they just randomly pop up sometimes to get on, like, birthday calls and to share memes. Argyle shows up at 4:00am and types random shit because he's high.

- Max spends a lot of time with a bot, putting her favorite songs and showing them to Lucas and El. Even if they don't actually like it, they just mute the thing to themselves and talk about random stuff. (What don't they do for their girl).

- but anyways, going back to Steddie.

- Eddie stays on Discord a lot. He's probably on every community that shares his love for rpg, games, rock and horror movies. But he stays a lot of the time in Dustin's community.

- They play RPG on the app, with specific bots to mimic the rolls and what nots.

- Now... Steve? He doesn't know shit about how to use the app, so they all have to keep remembering him stuff and teaching him how to do the things. It's funny because he's embarrassed like an old lady.

- Eventually they all play a campaign, and Will is the DM because Eddie wants to play a character. The campaign is great and funny, pretty much all of the characters are queer. It's all fun and games.

- Eddie and Steve start flirting through their characters. For them it's just fun, because they are "acting", lol. And Eddie's tiefling bard starts flirting more and more with Steve's half-elf paladin. And the party is always doing memes about it until THEY ACTUALLY KISSED DURING THE CAMPAIGN.

- Robin, Dustin and the rest of the party got very like WTF THIS IS... WHAT?!???

- Meanwhile, Mike and Will, who got together by that very kind of situation are like "oh ok they really wanna change their spits".

And it goes from here to eventually everyone on the call to make Steddie happen. Is it going to? Who knows. (Robin and Chrissy know, they're always typing after on the private chats about how they get so gay sometimes).

i guess it depends on how big the crowd is. everybody's different but I will say any kind of fright means you care, which is a good thing! Also the thing people forget about performing, for the most part, is you can't SEE the audience, most of the time they're in the dark. That's why performing for friends or in a small space where you can see everyone is much more nerve-racking

Did you write each of the songs with the performers in mind or did you cast them afterwards?

great question. Except for "Also You," which was written with Jackie Tohn for Jackie Tohn, we had no idea who would sing each song. I did the demos for almost all of them and then we had to pitch actors/artists to see if they'd be interested... which wasn't as hard (luckily) as seeing if they were AVAILABLE... which many weren't given the short time we had to make the show. Hopefully we can get some of those folks on for the next season IF THEY'LL LET US HAVE ONE!

Had to cut through a lot of red tape to make sure we had that silly song in there. We were already in the middle of post production when I finally got it approved, but it had to be under 15 seconds. I wrote 3 diff versions. So glad it ended up working. Theme songs accomplish so much in such a short period of time. Establishes tone. Gives the audience an almost Pavlovian response to the familiarity of the characters... I'm happy with it

I’m a musician myself (not that great lol) what was it like coming up with the melodic side did you play any instruments for the songs?

i played instruments on all the songs except Break It In and I Hate That I Need You, since those were all electronic. That's not to say i played EVERY instrument but I definitely played AN instrument of some kind for the others.

Kendo has worked on a lot of legit songs in the hip hop space. For each song I wanted to make sure there was a level of authenticity to what we were doing. I didn't wanna SPOOF the songs. I wanted the songs to sound rock solid and that it would be the LYRICAL CONCEPTS that would be the source of satire. So Kendo was a great guiding light to keep the track as authentic as possible.

How much music theory goes into your songwriting? And did you learn all of it from playing the violin? In what way does it go into your songs?

all GREAT questions. I mean, music theory isn't something you CONSCIOUSLY employ when writing something, it's just that it really helps to know the rules or music when shaping it and trying to maximize its production. And as a matter of fact, yeah, I DID learn most of it playing violin. But when I was playing violin I was ingesting music from the perspective of a student ingesting information, not as a proactive creator putting anything of my own out into the world.

i just need to spend time trying to get better at the ones I've plateaued with. I feel like I got as good as I'd ever get on the guitar when i was like 19. So I've been trying to get better during the Quarantine. Picked up my violin and dusted off that Vivaldi, started doing drum rudiments on my drum pad, and started learning new licks and scales for guitar. Stuff I never got round to doing.

How different is it doing a show like Royalties where you're heavily involved in the creative process compared to other projects you've done in the past?

i'd say night and day but that's an understatement. When I did Glee all I had to do was act in scenes, record songs, and go to dance rehearsal. With Royalties, it's that AND casting, doing pre production, post production, notes, meetings, notes, writing and producing songs, location scouting, blah blah blah lots of the stuff that you don't have to worry about if you're not a creator. But make no mistake I absolutely love it.

That evening I ended up going to the Astronomy Tower again just to clear my head. I hated how I liked Sirius. I should not like him. I should focus on my studies,my OWLs are just a few months away but here I was feeling upset and annoyed over a guy. Ugh Sirius Black I hate you so much.

You know you love him,my mind taunted.

It was then that I felt something soft rubbing against my ankles. I looked down to see ... oh it's the dog. I loved him so much.

Come to think of it,where did this dog come from ? These two months that I've spent time playing,patting,feeding this big shaggy black dog,I never really wondered whose dog was this. Where did he come from ?

I bent down and caressed his soft fur and kissed him. He wagged his tail adorably. Oh I loved him so much.

"Oh boy I don't have any food with me today honey. I'm sorry. I was too preoccupied with my thoughts".

I didn't know why but I would talk to him as if he was a friend who would clearly understand what I was saying. Sometimes I really felt as if he could understand me. Hell he even came in my dreams. One night I dreamt that i was in the astronomy tower and he suddenly changed to a man. But I couldn't see the man's face.Of course I didn't care much as in dreams anything crazy can happen. But still I had this dream twice now. Does it mean anything ? Hah probably not. Just my subconscious mind playing tricks on me.

The next day was Friday. Hogsmeade weekend was the next day. I loved going to Hogsmeade. Especially Honeydukes Sweet Shop,Zonko's Joke Shop and The Three Broonsticks were my favourite Hogsmeade attractions.

That evening as I was going up to the Astronomy Tower,I heard someone calling me.

I turned around to see Cedric Connors,a popular sixth year Ravenclaw hurrying towards me. He was a hot topic among the girls. With azure eyes,a sharp jawline,a very nice body with jet black hair,this guy was quite the looker. His smile was equally attractive. I can't believe such a handsome guy was approaching me. But,for what ?

"Hey hi ____".

"H-hi Cedric. What are you doing here ?". I hope I wasn't blushing too madly.

"I uh". Now it was him who was blushing. God,he looked cute.

"Look ___ I just wanted to ask if ... maybe you would like to go for a walk across the Black Lake ?",he smiled sheepishly,scratching the back of his head.

Oh God this senior was adorable. If I hadn't already had a massive crush on Sirius,I'd have one on him.

Ugh ___ stop thinking about Sirius. A handsome guy is asking you out for God's sake.

"Walk ?".

"Uh yeah. Um it's ok if you don't want to .. I mean".

"Ah no. Sure I will".

"Great then I'll see you after 10 minutes ?"

"Sure.", I smiled at him. He smiled back. Wow that smile.

"I'll wait for you here".

Cedric Connors turned out to be a really nice guy. He was intelligent,funny,charming and friendly. I really had a good time with him.

"Um ___. Can I ask you something ?",he asked as we came back and stood near the Gryffindor tower.

"Sure".

"Will you uh ... would you like to ... maybe go to Hogsmeade with me tomorrow ?".

"Oh yes I'd love to Cedric".

"Great. So I'll see you at 4pm tomorrow ?"

"You bet",I smiled back.

He leant down and kissed my cheek. Oh God now I was definitely a tomato.

"Bye ___. See you tomorrow".

"Bye Cedric".

He turned around to leave when James and Remus were entering the common room.

"Got a new boyfriend __ ?",James smirked.

"Dude no. We were just talking".

"Ah huh. Then why did he kiss you on the cheek ? Ah you like him".

"Shut up Potter". He smirked back.

"Bowtruckle" I said the password and hurried up to my dormitory. I needed to see what to wear tomorrow now that I had a date. Was it a date really ?

That Friday evening Sirius was disappointed. He had waited for ___ to turn up,this time in his human form. He wanted to confess his feelings finally now that suddenly he was feeling courageous. He didn't know where his courage came from but he wanted it get it out of his chest.

But ___ hadn't turned up like the other days. He felt frustrated. Why today of all the days when he wanted to confess ? Why today ? What else had her attention that evening ?

He went back to the Gryffindor Common Room to find James,Remus and Peter in one corner chatting away. ___ was nowhere to be seen in the crowded Common Room.

Sirius let out a deep sigh. He walked over to where his friends were sitting.

"Hey Padfoot",smirked James.

Sirius gave a small smile.

"What's wrong Padfoot ? It's really rare to see you like this,so disappointed and downcast. Letter from home ? Merlin's beard,what does that woman --?"

"No no it's not that. It's ... just something else".

"It's ___ isn't it ?",asked Remus,looking very concerned.

Sirius ran his tongue on the insides of his cheek and let out a sigh.

"I saw her with that Ravenclaw prefect this evening. He walked her till here and kissed her on the cheek. They're probably going to -- ".

Something flickered in Sirius' eyes. He nodded.

"Uh lads .. I'm going to bed. I'm so tired today",he said pretending to yawn.

"Uh ok,Padfoot. Goodnight",James frowned.

Sirius went up to his dormitory and laid down in his bed. He tossed and turned around until sleep finally consumed him in the early hours of dawn.

___ was nervous as hell the next day. She fussed over every little thing. What to wear,need any potion for her face or not. "Just be yourself. Cedric likes you it's seems. And as for clothes you're good. Just wear whatever you usually. You don't want to look like you're trying to hard now would you ?"

"Uh no".

"Then ? Be yourself. Good luck ___".

Cedric was waiting for her near the Great Hall. He gave a captivating smile that made her heart flutter.

The Hogsmeade date was so much fun. They went to the Zonko's Joke Shop. Cedric was surprised to see ___ but so many pranking items.

"You thought I was some good girl ?",she laughed.

They had been to Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop. The place was filled with couples,mostly from Hogwarts. Cedric and ___ turned heads as they walked in hand in hand.

___ was not shocked to see Sirius with another girl. Sirius never went on dates. But this time he was with a pretty brunette from Hufflepuff. ____'s heart beat faster. It was Cedric who brought her back to reality from her trance.

Cedric and ___ spent time talking about their childhood,families,interests. Hell ___ genuinely laughed at his jokes,they were that good. She even forgot to be jealous of the brunette sitting with Sirius some four tables away.

The sight of ____ and that I infuriating Ravenclaw tore at Sirius' heartstrings. How he longed to be the one sitting and laughing with ____. And Merlin's beard,were his jokes not funny ? ____ never laughed so heartily at the jokes he cracked. He wanted to go back to the school. But he was a gentleman. He wouldn't leave a girl alone if he brought her on a date,even if it was his first time. And the girl Chrissy or Casey whatever her name was knew the terms. He wasn't looking for any commitment unless it was with ____ but he did not tell her that of course. As soon the girl finished her food,he made some excuse about not feeling well (she believed it because Sirius hardly touched his food at all),paid for the food and headed back to Hogwarts with her. He had had enough.

Love how you're jumping down my throat for pointing out how GVD and hellcheer shippers have been harrassed by a lot of Steddies. Also it's not homophobic not to automatically ship two male characters for simply existing next to each other (I didn't even say anything against the ship itself, wtf. But goes to show)

But yeah, JQ was super umcomfortable at German Comic Con when that fan kept insisting on Steddie HC even after he said he didn't see it that way. Speaking of, why do you critizise GVD for engaging with fans and going to conventions to further career but not JQ?

Btw, with the missing person poster I just wanted to point out the hipocrisy of those insisting Chrissy is a minor due to that file but then totally ignore Eddie's poster, didn't make myself clear, sorry for that and also apologies, I didn't mean to directly accuse you of using that weird p*do rhetoric.

THIS IS SO LONG I’M SORRY

*There are many spoilers in here for Pitch Perfect 3 ok*

Here's some thoughts from me fresh out the cinema that I'll probably feel were too emotional and incorrect after a while as I always do, but here we go...

***Warning, this got really long! ALSO A THOUSAND SPOILERS***

Let’s start this off by saying that it wasn’t a bad film. Not at all. Was it amazing, maybe not, but I had fun watching it and i’ll see it again, and i’ll buy the dvd and i’ll continue to listen to the soundtrack and love everyone who was in it, because they’re beautiful, wonderful people who were amazing in it and fought really hard to get the movie how it is.

First of all it didn’t really feel like a finale, especially one that was supposed to be about them being a family, (YES I KNOW THEY SAID THEY WERE A FAMILY AND OTHER PEOPLE SAID THEY WERE A FAMILY LIKE 20 TIMES, but they didn’t show it like they really did in the past two films in my opinion) like they had like 2 and a half scenes where they actually all spoke to each other and about life. There were really sweet interactions by people we don’t usually get the see interact, and i’m glad they carried on the beca/amy friendship, because that was lovely to see in the second one, but like, and i know i’m a bechloe shipper so i’m biased here, but beca and chloe didn’t really interact at all, neither did chloe and aubrey (DID CHLOE AND AUBREY ACTUALLY SPEAK TO EACH OTHER???i can’t even remember) and so much of the other films had a lot in about their friendship, the second one especially, and now i’m thinking back to this one and wondering if they even had a one to one conversation other than the boob grab (which was shorter than the trailer one ugh) and Beca calling her ‘sweetie’ in their apartment, which came off 98% less sarcastic than when she calls theo ‘honey’ later on which i loved.

The editing felt kinda heavy handed to me, like they had to put in all these silly effects around chloe and chicago stuff to make it overly obvious to us that she liked him. And cut to him and theo so so often i actually started rolling my eyes at it, because it made it look like chloe and chicago had been dating for years when at that point they didn’t even know anything about each other. Like, i’m not one to say no to watching chloe be all bashful and bite her lip and play with her hair, but it seems like exactly what Kendrick said she didn’t let them put in for Beca, the tripping over her feet kinda crushing, was put on chloe instead. And chloe is the confident, sexual, ‘i get what i want’ kinda girl who literally barged into someone’s shower because she liked the way they sang. This chloe didn’t make sense to me. She doesn’t even know anything about the guy other than his name and she’s talking about commitment. (Like okay, that scene was funny and Brittany was amazing in it and, like i said i love a flustered chloe because she’s adorable and it was like all the fics where she acts like that around beca, but it felt really strange in this position) Chicago just showed up, said a few things that didn’t really matter and we were supposed to be all the way in for their relationship. Like, a relationship storyline wasn’t necessary at all. It was actually more distracting than anything else, i’d rather have no relationships at all. The bellas and their friendship is all we need.

I felt like you could tell more than one person wrote the script and you can tell it was changed a lot. The lack of chemistry i felt was between chloe and chicago was actually funny and maybe that’s why they made chloe be extra lusty, ditsy, flirty and add those slow motion and sound effects......... And interestingly to me or hilariously so, in a sad way, chloe and Chicago and beca and theo are filmed/edited so similarly, other than the weird slow mo chloe stuff, yet one is absolutely not gonna happen and one does and it's so heavy handed and they're so similar that neither of them really work. (That credits scene felt stupid to me, the only reason it was okay was that we didn’t get to really gauge beca’s reaction to it, but it wasn’t overly positive i don’t think) I also hated that beca and theo still came across all flirty, because it was similar to how she was with jesse, but at least they didnt happen. I am so glad Kendrick fought so hard for it, because I actually don’t think I would sit through the film again if they had. I’d just download my favourite scenes and make a whole other movie out of it for myself to enjoy. HEY THAT’S WHAT FANFIC IS FOR.

On to bechloe for a bit i guess,

The thing with bechloe was that it was always just fun for me, they’re fun movies and an amazing cast that I loved for shipping the characters as well as us, understanding the importance and never making fun of us (and they still don’t, see brittany’s build interview for recent stuff and kendrick all the damn time). We had (and still have OF COURSE) our own little community and we didn't really have to think about what it would mean to us for it to be canon because we never ever thought it would be! I never ever imagined it could be canon until they started really leaning into it. And when the ads started well that was just too much.

It just became a marketing ploy for a movie where the couple barely speak to each other. The film wasn't even really about the bellas, not really.

I don't know. Maybe I would have enjoyed it so much more and not picked up on all the stuff i’m saying if I didn't feel like I'd been played the whole time leading up to it. Even yesterday with the ads saying 'will bechloe ever happen'.... No wonder the ads are full of clips from the old movies, because they don't really interact in this one at all. It was the type a example of queerbaiting and i really hate them for that.

I'm sure I'll watch it again and have different thoughts and again, it wasn't not enjoyable, I just felt like the baiting without any intention for them to at least be sweet to each other throughout the film and talk to each other was extra extra wrong, and actually having a canon love interest for chloe all the while doing this..... it’s really not okay. And there must have been a hell of a lot cut for the way the cast was talking and why did they have to stay in the giant water tank for two days when there was literally ten seconds of them in the water I don't understand.

Anyway, I was there for the bellas and I don't feel like I got them. It was funny yes, it really was and i smiled throughout most of it. The baiting just dampened it a lot for me.

NOW LET ME BE MORE POSITIVE - here’s some things i liked:

- AMY WAS BADASS, really, i’ll watch a bellas action movie anytime - there was more aubrey and she was funny and cute - background jessica and ashley was adorable and some of the actual best hilarious one liners/moments comes from jessica which is amazing - THE MUSIC WAS SO GREAT -OMG THE DANCING WAS INCREDIBLE LIKE HOWWww - little drunk chloe in the bg of aubrey talking about the USO tour was adorable - the fact that chloe gives speeches like those all the time and the bellas roll their eyes at her everytime but you know they all secretly love it - the off hand comment about there having been a sexual encounter between some bellas (by chloe, probably including chloe) ‘one time’ is the stuff dreams (fics) are made of - kendrick looked so good, like extra good - chrissie got to sing more which makes me happy - emily still felt like emily and she GOT A HAMSTER (aca-child is overwhelmed by hamster) - beca telling theo he looks like a turtle - the other performers in the tour were awesome, really awesome - kendrick is super gay in the riff off - cynthia rose got to say the word gay which was cool - there were def some bechloe glances that will make wonderful gifs (not enough tho) - lilly (/ester) got an okay amount of screentime and we got to hear her speak properly finally even if only for a few seconds - the scenes with all the bellas in were actually beautiful and funny and made me feel good - also the stacey baby thing was the most cliche, but adorable and i’ll admit i got a couple of goosebumps at that cliche, sweet, loving naming moment

In conclusion, the film was fun. The bellas were great in it. They kinda forgot about all the other characters other than the men after the riff off which was stupid because they were so much more interesting and charismatic and musicians, which the films are supposed to be focused on... Couldn’t the film have focussed more on the tour and them working and fighting for their place, i get that that’s the plot of the others, but that’s what they do and it wasn’t broke so why try and fix it

I do not want to take away from anyone's performance because they were wonderful. Kendrick was amazing and so sweet and gay and it felt right for beca for the most part, you could see the character development. The rest were not given enough time really. I know most of us were there because we care about these characters and not getting a chance to hear them speak and get to know them a little better because thats what the films have been about so far was sad. It still feels open ended to me. It doesn't feel like it was wrapped up. I don't know anything more about any of them really. I don't know. Again, I didn't hate it, I didn't even dislike it. What I dislike, what I feel really emotional about, is how they exploited us, how hard Kendrick had to fight for bechloe and for beca to be who she should be in this film, something that should be so obvious. And how little time we got to see our bellas be bellas. it had a really different feel to the other films, and i hope that i watch it again and feel differently because i wanted so much to love it and i was so nervous going in.

It all just feels a little strange, maybe that’s just because it’s supposedly the end and it doesn’t feel like it should be at all. I can’t wait to be all over those dvd extras and am hopeful for another Kendrick book where she can tell it all.

THANK YOU to the cast and crew and everyone. This isn’t the end, i’m writing like 3 bechloe fics as we speak and the community of amazing people and artists and writers who make me laugh and cry and grow to love these characters more and more each day will still be here and i am so happy about that. Thank you to rebel and brittany and kendrick for how they’ve spoken about bechloe especially, it really means more than i think they know. AND TO EVERYONE ELSE IN THE CAST I LOVE YOU SM.

How Chrissie Fit and 'Pitch Perfect 3' Are Challenging Latino Stereotypes (Exclusive)

Chrissie Fit is challenging the status quo.

The 33-year-old actress portrays a different kind of Latina character in Pitch Perfect -- and one that will only evolve when the franchise's third installment hits theaters in December.

"A lot of the times you'll see the Latina character being overly sexual and loud, and then Flo is on the opposite end of the spectrum," Fit told ET over the phone on Monday. "She's dry, sarcastic and really soft spoken, so it's a cool thing to see the different representation."

Fit isn't exactly Flo, the foreign exchange student from Central America added to Pitch Perfect 2 -- but the character definitely hits close to home.

"I base [Flo] off of my mom...and my mom's always like, 'Stop saying that! I don't want to be famous!'" laughed Fit, whose parents and grandparents emigrated to the U.S. from Cuba before she was born. "If my mom was in college and in the Bellas, that's how she would be: kind of just like, 'Are these girls serious?' so that's where I got my inspiration."

Flo's commentary about immigration and deportation made the audience do a double take -- and while Flo won't lose her signature humor in Pitch Perfect 3, Fit says her jokes will evolve in response to the current political climate.

"We had to talk about it, because the landscape has changed a lot," she explained. "I'm so grateful that we have such good communication to make sure that everyone's comfortable and feeling good."

"I had individual meetings with [director Trish Sie], and sat down and talked about it. I was really vocal about what I did and didn't want to do, but I wasn't feeling comfortable doing deportation jokes because it's not funny. It's not funny anymore when it's happening to people in the middle of the night," Fit continued. "In the first movie, that joke that I would be deported stems from reality, because your student visa [does expire]; that's something that I improvised. But it was a different time, and I felt a little more comfortable doing those kinds of jokes that pushed the envelope."

"Here, I was very lucky that we were able to talk before filming, and I had freedom to improvise and talk about different options," she added. "And you'll ultimately see me sing a little more in this movie, which is really exciting. It will be fun for people to see a different side of Flo."

Fit admitted there's "still work to be done" in changing Latino stereotypes in Hollywood, but is proud to be part of showcasing a different side of Latinos and bringing their stories to the mainstream.

"I think that's why Pitch Perfect is so popular, because it's a story about 10 women, [but one that is] universal for everyone," she shared, before praising how "supportive" her cast is in real life. "We're all like, real friends."

"We just vacationed together in Cabo in May after we wrapped the movie, so we love spending time together," she explained. "When we were doing rehearsals, we made a pact to not just enjoy the ride of filming, but also create memories when we were in Atlanta, and I think we did that. We're really close."

A week later saw Eddie and Chrissy in her garage moving boxes around and laying a huge blanket over a couch to make the space bigger and more comfortable. Both of them had brought their own amps and set them up too. They had even found an old mini fridge and stocked it with chocolate, cans of soda, and bottles of water ready for practice.

"Hey bunny" Robin greeted Chrissy with a kiss as soon as she stepped into the garage later that evening,

"Stop being so gross and put each other down." Eddie grumbled at the pair.

"No need to be so homophobic, Munson" came the response of Steve as he also walked to the garage.

"Yes, me, a bit of a whore in the local gay scene, homophobic, that checks out." Eddie rolled his eyes before he walked away and picked his guitar up and made sure it was in tune.

"Chrissy, where did you want me to set this up?" Steve asked Chrissy, pointing down at the big bag he had brought in with him.

"Towards the back, kind of centre if you want, makes the most sense," Chrissy answered, pointing at a vague space towards the middle of the garage.

“So Robin, this is the first time we’ve properly spoken since you started dating my little Chrissy, she won’t tell me so I know it’s got to be embarrassing, how did you and Chrissy get talking enough for you to end up together a few weeks later.” Eddie quizzed, noting Chrissy blushing out of the corner of his eye.

“Oh, there’s not really a lot to tell to be honest, she sat next to me on the bus, asked me what I was listening to, I said The Clash, she said she loves them, we listened together and then switched between our styles of music” Robin shrugged as Chrissy got redder and redder.

“Fuck off did she, what a lying little bitch. Christina Cunningham, why would you tell such a lie? You hate The Clash, always have .” Eddie cackled, turning to look at Chrissy who was bright red and trying to hide behind her hair.

“I just wanted to listen to music with the cute girl from band, ok? so sue me.” She replied, sighing, his reaction was exactly why she hadn’t told Eddie the full story when he asked weeks ago. “Can we just play something now please?”

Five minutes later and the band was ready to start playing together. Steve sat behind his drums and everyone else picked up their instruments.

"Chrissy, you want to start a beat on the bass? Steve, try not to sound like shit ok, we all know punk drums are a mess and don't hold a rhythm." Eddie said, getting himself comfortable with his guitar.

Chrissy started with a beat that Steve apparently knew the drums to, and soon enough Eddie was leaning into the mic and singing.

"I sit around and watch the tube But nothing's on I change the channels for an hour or two Twiddle my thumbs just for a bit I'm sick of all the same old shit In a house with unlocked doors and I'm fuckin' lazy" Eddie sang as he started to play the guitar with it.

"Bite my lip and close my eyes Take me away to paradise I'm so damn bored, I'm going blind And I smell like shit" Robin joined in the singing and playing her own guitar with him.

The four of them played the whole song and didn't miss a beat, ending with all four of them laughing.

Steve and Eddie caught each other's eyes and stopped laughing straight away.

"I guess for a couple punks you two can play well enough" Eddie sniffed, putting his guitar down and heading to the mini-fridge.

"The fuck is your problem, Munson?" Steve asked defensively.

"I just don't want us sounding just like noise, bad noise at that when we play." Eddie replied, whilst drinking his water.

"So what? All punk is just bad noise to you?" Steve questioned, standing up from his drums clearly unimpressed.

"Yeah, it is. Just bad drums, bad guitar, bad vocals. I guess it’s good that most punk songs are really short." Eddie shrugged.

"Fuck you, punk is more than the music, more than the drums, guitar, and vocals. It's about the people, the lyrics, the message behind the songs." Steve seethed, moving towards Eddie.

"Oh yeah, because metal isn't political at all?" Eddie asked, raising an eyebrow.

"It's really not," Steve responded, clearly pissed off at the other brunette.

"Alright princess, sit down and let me play a few songs for you that show you that a song can be both political and actually good." Eddie rolled his eyes and grabbed his phone.

"No, enough of this dick-measuring contest, ok. Either shut the fuck up so we can continue to play or take this tension to a bedroom, giving you 5 seconds to decide." Chrissy said loudly, pointing between the two of them.

"Chris, baby, we both know they aren't going to fuck just yet. They need to pretend to hate each other first before it happens" Robin laughed.

Both boys stepped away from each other. Eddie drank more of his water and Steve went to grab his own, throwing one to Robin who caught it without looking.

"I'm down to play more if Munson can stop being a bitch and play something that isn't just loud guitar and screaming." Steve shrugged, sitting down behind the drums again.

"I give it 3 weeks before they're fucking" Robin giggled, earning her a death glare from Steve.

“Well that was fun,” Robin said sitting in the passenger seat of Steve’s car. “It was really nice to spend more time with Chrissy. I still haven’t asked her to be my girlfriend by the way. Do you think she’ll say yes? I’m not sure she wants that.” she continued to ramble.

“It was something, I really hope he gets that stick out of his ass before next practice, I can't be bothered with that each time. But yes, she will say yes if you ask her out.” Steve said, sounding exasperated.

“You just want the stick out of his ass so you can stick…”

“You can walk home if you finish that sentence,” Steve interrupted her.

Robin laughed, buckled her belt, and sat back in her seat. Steve sighed, started the car, and drove her home. Neither of them talked about how right she was.

“Eddie, can you play nicely with Steve next time we have practice? I’d really like this band thing to work, ok? Even if it doesn't really go anywhere I want to have fun and enjoy this.” Chrissy pleaded.

“Fine I’ll play with the punk jock so you can have fun with your girlfriend” Eddie replied dodging a half-empty bottle Chrissy threw at him before falling over dramatically. “Tell my mother I love her,” he said, throwing himself to the ground clutching his arm.

“Lord help me” Chrissy laughed.

The following week after the first practice found them all sat around in Chrissy’s garage talking about the band and the music they should play.

“We write enough songs between us, we could just do original stuff. I will say this isn't bad, Munson” Steve commented, reading through Eddie’s finished songs and notes for other songs.

“Approval from Harrington, just what I've always wanted” Eddie replied, rolling his eyes.

“Eddie for fuck’s sake, that's enough. He was being nice and you were a peanut head! That wasn't nice at all.” Chrissy snapped, punching his arm lightly.

“Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry” Eddie mumbled in the direction of Steve.

“Shall we talk about band names?” Robin put in, trying to change the subject.

“ My list for names so far is this,” Eddie said, turning to a page in his notebook and turning it so everyone could read.

The four of them sat around for another 20 minutes or so discussing band names before Robin finally suggested The Spitfires.

“Yes, I love it,” Chrissy said excitedly.

“Of course you love the only one Robin suggests” Steve commented, rolling his eyes, earning him a laugh from Eddie.
