I haven't spoken about this yet, but S5E1 is hands down my number one favorite because of how incredibly phenomenal and remarkable Rayla's emotional development is. We really got to witness how much Rayla has deeply longed to see and be with her family again. Expressing all her feelings that she's held inside to them: how much she loves and misses them, that she hasn't forgotten about them, and made a promise to them that she will find a way to free them.

Her going into Viren's old lair, finding Runaan's Bowblade and breaks down crying really pulled on my heartstrings. They were so raw yet real, heartfelt, and pure. Give My Baby Girl All The Biggest Hugs In The World. 🥺🥺

This scene with Runaan, Lain, and Tiadrin's spirits watching over her just broke me. Their smiles filled with such immeasurable love, affection, and adoration completely warms my heart ❤️. How they looked so proud of her. I was literally crying so much. The pure hearted love and heartwarming smiles speaking to her, letting her know she's not alone, that they're always with her, feeling their sincere love embrace her. Rayla saying to them she loves them, has not forgotten them and vowed and swore an oath to free her family, showing her dedication and determination to reunite with her family again. Let My Baby Girl Be Reunited With Her Family. She has been deprived for too long. 💜❤️💙💚🩵🙏🙏

A few days ago you got a call from a good friend of yours, Stella, to ask if you could watch her German shepherd, Sky. She had to go home for a family emergency and unfortunately, she couldn't take the lovely dog with her, so you immediately said yes. You would be working from home for a few days anyways, so it was nice to have an extra dog around. Willow and Sky have always gotten along great so it was an absolute no-brainer for you, and you picked up the lovely dog yesterday. ''Hi Sky, are you ready to spend a few days with me and Willow when your mom has to go back home?'' you asked the dog and she happily wagged her tail at you.

''Thank you so much for doing this, I owe you big time,'' Stella said when you picked her up. ''Oh no, you don't! You know I love Sky like she's my own, so it's no problem at all. I am working from home anyways so having extra company is always a big plus,'' you laughed before taking Sky down to your car and on your way to your house. When you were there all three of you went up to your apartment and you opened the balcony doors, so the two dogs could go onto the balcony if they pleased. You grabbed a cold glass of iced tea, your laptop, and your earbuds so you could focus on work, but put the music on low enough that you could still hear the two dogs when necessary.

They were playing with each other for a while and you got some work done, which was always good, and you suddenly got a text from Chris. He was away for a shoot and he took Dodger with him this time, so you didn't have to watch over him, but he would be coming home today.

Chris 💙: Hi babe, are you free tonight? I'll be home soon and I can't wait to see you again! I missed you and Willow way too much! 🥺

Y/N 🩷: Hey bubs, we missed you too, and I'm free! Want me to cook dinner tonight at your place? I can stay over too if you want ❤️

Chris 💙: You're the best babe, can't wait to see you tonight!

With that you finished your work, stopping a little earlier than you planned but if you had to cook dinner at Chris' house, you had to leave on time to do some grocery shopping beforehand, especially with both of the dogs with you. You went to a dog-friendly grocery shop and the girls had the time of their lives, sniffing through every aisle making the shopping trip way longer than it needed to be. You bought both of the girls a chew that they could enjoy when you were at Chris' house, and of course, you got one for Dodger too, but he got a smaller one so it would be fair for all of them. ''All right girls, let's go!'' you said as you were done at the register and they got all the love from the girl behind it.

Not much later you arrived at Chris' house and unlocked the door, finding him asleep on the couch. You sank on your knees to wake him up, placing soft kisses on his face as he slowly woke up. ''Hi babe, missed you,'' he said with a deep voice thick with sleep, and the butterflies in your stomach went crazy. He cupped your cheek and brought your face to his after propping himself up on his arm, kissing you softly yet passionately. ''I got you a surprise,'' you said and he looked at you with wide eyes, his interest peaked immediately. ''Oh? You didn't have to, babe!'' he said as the both of you got up, and you led him to the garden, where all three dogs were playing with each other.

''I got you another dog because you and Dodger seemed a bit lonely with just the two of you,'' you said as a joke, but Chris' mouth fell open, not sure what to say to this. ''Are you serious, babe? I mean, I love it, obviously, but I think we have a bit of an abundance of dogs now,'' he said and your face turned into a face-splitting grin, notifying Chris that it was just a joke. ''Oh, you're terrible!'' he said as he pushed jokingly against your upper arm. ''I know, I know!'' you laughed. ''Don't worry, I'm just dog-sitting for my friend Stella for a few days, it's her German Shepherd named Sky, she's an absolute sweetheart,'' you explained and it immediately made Chris feel better when you told him just that. ''I love you so much, you know that?'' he said as he pulled you in for a hug, kissing you on the top of your head. ''I love you too, bubs,'' you sighed as you leaned into the hug.

''So, time to prepare dinner! You can just sit down, I will do all the work today,'' you said as you got out the groceries you got for dinner. You decided on making homemade spicy hamburgers today, so you got ground beef and a lot of fresh vegetables to put on them. Chris sat down at his kitchen island as you prepared dinner for both of you, so the two of you could catch up a little before going outside to enjoy your dinner together. You brought the food out, and Chris brought a beer for each of you to drink with the hamburgers. ''Oh, I got each of the dogs a chew, I thought it would help them to calm down a little before dinner!'' you said as you got them, and handed them to each of the dogs who were chewing on them contently on the grass.

''They look so sweet now, don't they?'' you smiled and you looked at Chris. ''Not as sweet as you are, my love,'' he said before putting 2 fingers under your chin, lifting your head slightly as he moved closer to capture your lips in another breathtaking kiss, and you melted into it. ''God, I missed you so much,'' you say almost breathless as the two of you break apart, the butterflies in both your stomachs going haywire. ''Oh, I will show you just how much I missed you later, babe, don't you worry about that,'' he said with a wink and it made you blush, so you quickly looked away, hoping he wouldn't notice, but he did. He always did. And that is just another reason he is so deeply in love with you, the love of his life.

First of all, I saw that you just reblogged this, but I just can't not include @nicoroni's home is where the heart is (and my heart beats in your chest). (Barnaby/Kotetsu, M, 8K) What initially seems like a relatively light-hearted sequence of increasingly-funny ways Barnaby tries to confess to Kotetsu will, before it's done, grab your heart and squeeze and never, ever let go. This will live rent-free in my head forever.

Then we have My Bunny Valentine by @exquisitefrogprince (Barnaby/Kotetsu, T, 10K) which utterly captivated me and made me shake with the tension and the emotion, and has both an incredibly beautiful, almost ethereal interlude featuring Nathan and a gorgeous, precious, spun-sugar ending.

your eyes become a paradise by @hearjessroar (Barnaby/Kotetsu, T, 2K) manages to fit in such a small space an amazing, very human study of Kotetsu, and Barnaby, and Barnaby through Kotetsu's eyes, and Kotetsu reflected in Barnaby's eyes; and a small, but fundamental brave leap into a new, soft beginning for them together.

Some Things Are Worth the Wait by @mad-madam-m (Barnaby/Kotetsu, T, 2K + 1K) is a small series filled with soft, quiet love, respect, and the importance to both take some first steps, and wait patiently at the end of the path for what is most precious to come to you.

My Valentine, my demise by @gusutianzixiao (Keith/Nathan, T, 2K) pulled at my heart so freaking hard and I could not get enough. Nathan hides away from Keith on Valentine's Day to avoid having her heart broken. But of course her heart, instead of getting hurt, shows up on her doorstep, as giving and trusting and forgiving and caring as he ever is.

Hindsight is 20/20 by @saltedpin and Apathy (Keith/Nathan, T, 12K) features, uh... a Sky High photo shoot gone wrong. Very wrong. Or very, very right, depending on your, erm, perspective. And how much you enjoy what probably has to be one of Nathan's top 3 sights in the entire world. In any case, this is hilarious, but also tender and bold and with both Keith and Nathan being the absolute most.

second crack by @seaofolives (Keith/Nathan, T, 24K) is an actual FireSky coffee shop AU and if that isn't enough to entice you, it is also a fantastic, gripping view into heartbreak and slowly, consciously, gradually healing from it, with the help of a soft, bright hope for something new and fresh and absolutely beautiful, with someone who finally, unexpectedly fully gets you.

I have been toying with the idea of making the moon into actual horns since we talked about it (like Maleficent?) - you mentioned opals and shell linings, and I think it would look sick if the moon-antlers/horns had that opalescence sheen to them? Maybe it could mirror the mask?

Idk, I haven't quite fleshed her out yet so that may change. She still doesn't have a name; Miss Missy is being very secretive about her life (no surprise there 🙄).

I do wanna show you this! There's this gemstone called Azurite, that has this beautiful shade of deep blue, with purples, and some greens and gold speckles and spots (seriously - look it up, it's fantastic). I like the idea of her being connected to gems and stuff, and I think this one in particular fits her vibe SO well?? So yeah.

2. I love malificent so much :(((( I love sleeping beauty, I love the live action malificent… OPAL MASK AND HORNS HELLO. Blue Lady is killing it over here, my god. She’s got the bling. She’s got the swag. What more could she have.

3. My grandparents are jewelers and they used to keep random geodes and gems around their house and azurite was one of them! I remember because they would try to teach me about rocks and gems and different gem cuts and I just sat there “no thoughts, head empty, I only want to look at pictures of agate and peridot”. their azurite was very very small and I’m not sure where it is anymore. My favorite gem has to be zircon though, love that stuff. I will for sure be reading more on azurite though!

the character everyone gets wrong: Aang, obviously. I have several other asks about the worst fandom takes which are also about Aang. I do NOT understand how fandom can get the titular character SO WRONG so often (though I have a feeling it has to do with shipping, and also THIS excellent meta which goes into the many stereotypes people wrongly or unfairly apply to Aang (although, warning, it's zukaang-centered but a lot of it applies to Aang as a character even without the ship), among other things.

19. you're mad/ashamed/horrified you actually kind of like... OKAY SO this was one of the asks that made me ALMOST consider not posting this game hahaha because there... isn't really anything I'm mad/ashamed/horrified of liking? I don't (or at least I try not to) place value judgments on tropes or ships or fics or any of that, and I accept that the things I like, I like them for a reason (whether it's because it helps me work out my own shit or because it's just fun/interesting to imagine a fictional scenario like that where no one in real life is getting hurt or whatever). I guess in the beginning of my fandom days, I would've said smut, but I've also (obviously) accepted that so 🤷🏻‍♀️

22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores...

The Serpent's Pass episode where Aang just casually, not-so-subtly tells Katara he wants to have a family with her and she tearfully and HAPPILY agrees/accepts because SHE LOVED HIM EVEN THEN, YOUR HONOR. Ok, sorry. Maybe that's just my favorite scene, haha, but fandom definitely sleeps on Katara's feelings for Aang which are evident THROUGHOUT THE SHOW if one ever cares to look for non-verbal cues (and even verbal ones, honestly, just maybe not as obvious as Aang's). Obviously their love grows and changes as the show progresses but girl was ready to leave her tribe for him after knowing him for HOURS... I don't understand what's so hard to get, hahaha

11. To say that Daniel's character Aiden on Chicago Med was undeservedly lied to about the Risperidone would probably be quite a big understatement. I appreciate how Dr. Charles tried to help Aiden and his sister Sandy get by well through the schizophrenia diagnosis journey, but maybe he could've also just put a little bit more effort into actually helping them.

Can I just say, I REALLY like how you write "the last of their kind" with Gaster, I know that it wasn't really your idea, but I really like your execution of it. it doesn't define his character, but it still is a big part of him as it would be, the way you write it is believable! I know that there will technically be the skeleton brothers, but that is a bit different given those are his kids. I'm certainly not an expert when it comes to writing, but I have been enjoying the way you write :D

Yeah, I figured he wasn’t the only skeleton to survive the war, but being one of the only (if not THE only) Boss Monster skeleton to live through being sealed underground certainly guaranteed that he would be the last one left. It’s a different kind of tragic to lose everything slowly, to have watched the very last of his people die out over a few generations. I’m not sure I mentioned this in the story yet, but given how long monsters stayed in Home/the Ruins, I doubt that many, if any, skeletons got to see beyond Snowdin forest/Snowdin town.

So, yes, it’s definitely a big part of him, as something like that absolutely would be, but he doesn’t let himself dwell on it. He can’t, really. Besides, as much as I love “avoids his problems so he doesn’t have to deal with them” Gaster, it’s been so long, I think he’s had to deal with the emotional weight of being the last skeleton, at least to some degree. He has a complicated relationship with his people. On one hand, he misses skeleton culture because it was his, and now there’s no one left to keep the practices alive. He can’t possibly hope to preserve every aspect of it on his own, no matter how much he may want to. Which brings us to the other hand: He was not treated especially well by his own people, growing up. And when he was young, before he knew what was coming (the war), all he wanted was to get away from the skeleton kingdom. Though he felt a little differently after leaving to study and then returning…

So there’s definitely some mixed and complicated feelings in that regard, that’s for sure. How are you meant to feel when everything that hurt you as a child is gone, but so is everything you wished you could be? Everyone who hurt you, but everyone you admired? Everyone you wanted to prove wrong, but everyone who wanted you to succeed? Every pretentious cultural expectation you resented, but everything familiar?

ANYWAY, I got on a rant. I’m so glad you enjoy my writing!!! And the way I write that part of Gaster’s backstory! This ask made me smile so much!! I feel all warm inside 😊 I’m certainly not especially skilled at writing, by any means, but I have a lot fun doing it and that’s what matters! The fact that anyone else enjoys it is just the cherry on top, and I’m so glad you’re one of those people! ✨💙🩵💚💜✨
