it’s crazy to think about the fact teresa literally spent her entire life working for wicked. she basically created the entire idea for wicked when she was sent through the flat trans because she was the first immune. she spent her entire life dedicated to finding a cure which makes sense why she was so desperate in the end. she didn’t know any better because all she had was wicked. and she spent her last moments in the building, even though she could’ve escaped. she was the one who started it all and she ended it all when the wicked headquarters collapsed.

I just watched the first Maze Runner movie and I got a few thoughts.

First off: I saw on TikTok ppl saying that Teresa mirrors Gale from THG so now I'm defending her with my life even tho idk what happens, I'm biased, sue me

Second: I knew Chuck was going to die bc IT'S ALWAYS THE CHARACTERS I GET EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED TO

13 || The Right Arm

Series: Trust | Maze Runner (Thomas x OFC)

We all end up getting in Bertha and I was sitting between Minho and Aris while Newt was in the front with Jorge and the rest in the back. We go as far as we can with the vehicle then all get out.

"Well, I guess we're on foot." Jorge says so we all begin to walk.

"Thomas." I saw what looked like a bullethole. As he gets closer a shit is fired making him grab me, pulling me to cover with him and Jorge.

"Take cover!" Newt yells.

"Hey, is everyone okay out there?" Thomas asks everyone.

"We're fine." Teresa shouts.

"Anyone know where those bloody shots came from?" Newt shouts.

"Up in the mountains. Sniping." I say making myself small between Jorge and Thomas.

"That son is a bitch, Marcus. He led us into an ambush." Jorge looks for something and Thomas peaks over the hood making another shot come at us.

"Idiot!" I pull him down.

"What do we do?" Thomas asks Jorge.

"Here. Hold this." He hand me a bomb.

"We gotta create a diversion. You get ready to chuck it." I give him a look but nod my head. "Everybody. Get ready to sprint back to the truck! And hold your ears!" Jorge tells them and as he counts down we stop to the sound of guns.

"Drop it." A girl tells me so I do. They tell us to get up so we do and the rest join us as we all have our hands up.

"Aris?" One of the girls puts down her gun saying his name so we look at him.

"Oh, my god. Harriet?" He says as she shows her face.

"My god. What the hell are you doing here?" She hugs him.

"Aris, you're lucky we didn't shoot your dumb ass." The other girl hugs him.

"Uh what's happening?" Minho asks.

"We were in the maze together." Aris tells us.

"We're clear, guys! Come on out!" Harriet whistles and we see the people come out then they lead us in. "We're taking them to base." Harriet says.

"Wait, so, how did you guys get here?" Aris asks them.

"The Right Arm got us out." She tells him.

"Wait. Wait. The Right Arm? Do you know where they are?" Thomas asks her. "Hop in." She opens the jeep door.

After some little ways we stop and get out of the cars to a base camp with people. "They've been planning this for over a year now." Harriet says walking us.

"You guys are lucky you found us when you did. We're moving out at first light." Sonya tells us.

"Who's Vince?" Thomas asks.

"He's the one who decides if you get to stay." Harriet tells him.

"Thought the Right Arm is supposed to be an army." Thomas speaks.

"Yeah, we were. This is all that's left of us." A man, who's probably Vince, walks up to us. "Lot of good people died getting us this far. Who are they?" He asks the girls.

"They're Immunes. Caught 'em coming up the mountain." Harriet tells him.

"Did you check 'em?" He asks.

"I know this guy, Aris. I trust him." She points back at her.

Brenda falls down trying to breathe and I remember the bite as they check her making the Right Arm freak out. We try to stop him from shooting her, "Vince, that's enough! Let him go." A woman rushes over to us.

"She's infected, Doc. There's nothing we can do for her." He tells her as she makes eye contact with me, "Lizzie...No, but he can and so can she." She looks at Thomas now. "Hello Thomas, Elizabeth." We look at her confused. "You know us?" He asks her.

"Interesting. It makes sense they'd put you in the maze. Though I must admit... I was worried they'd kill you after what you did." She talks to Thomas.

"What I did?" He asks her.

"The first time we spoke, you said you couldn't take it anymore... watching your friends die, one by one. The last time we spoke... You gave me the coordinates of every Wicked compound, trial and lab." She tells him.

"He was our source." Vince looks at him.

"We couldn't have pulled all this off without him." She says before telling us to follow her.

"How do you know me though?" I ask her as we walk.

As we get to the tent she stops turning to face me, "Because you're my little girl." She tears up, making stare at her.

"You're li-little girl?" A tear slides down my cheek as Thomas watches us.

She smiles, nodding her head taking my hand into hers, "I'm glad you are okay." She pulls me into a hug and I hug her back crying because it felt right. Of course I knew I had to have parents but getting to see one finally even though I don't remember felt really good.

"Okay, we need to go help your friend." She takes us inside and Thomas rubs my back giving me a smile.

As she takes Thomas's blood she explains why they wanted us and that she used to work with them a long time ago. She explained Wicked didn't care about us as long as they found a cure. She and Jorge start to leave but I call her back for a second.

"Can you explain to me more... about me... you?" I make her smile as she sits down.

"When I worked for Wicked and they started to change their ways... I tried to get you out but they dragged you away from me. I fought so hard to get you back but Ava wouldn't have it, she had to have you just like all the others. When I was no longer a part of Wicked and Thomas contacted me he gave me updates on you in the maze. Remember how I said he hated seeing his friends die... Well, he hated seeing you struggle. That first month you were there alone... Thomas couldn't live with himself wishing he could've done something. He cried to me about how he promised-," I cut her off for a second.

"I promise you will be okay. I won't let anything happen to you." I say what I remembered when I was out.

"Since you both don't remember much before the maze, I'll let you both know you were super close since you first met each other. Even though most of the time you were kept apart, you always found your way back to each other. I'm gonna get you a warmer jacket." She gives me a smile, leaving us with Brenda.

"You met your mom." Thomas finally speaks up so I nod my head. "How do you remember what I said?" He asks me.

"After passing out I remembered getting taken away to go into the maze." I explain to him.

"Why did you back away?" He messes with his hands.

"Huh?" I play dumb.

"After the kiss? Why did you back away?" He asks again.

"I hallucinated Gally dead then Newt as a crank." I look down.

"I saw Newt too the Grievers." He gets up coming to sit next to me.

"Why did you? You know, kiss me?" I look at him.

"It felt right. All the small things I can remember about you and now your mom saying how we were... just makes sense. Get what I mean?" He looks at me.

"Yeah, I mean I trusted you right away.... I'm gonna go find my mom and her that jacket." I get up and leave the tent.

"There you are." She smiles as I walk up to her and Vince.

"You remember how I always talk about my daughter, well this is her. Vince meet Elizabeth, Elizabeth meet Vince." She smiles at him.

He looks at me surprised then smiles nodding his head, "I can see it. Glad to have you with us now. Your mother always tells me stories about you before everything happened. I've always hoped she would get to see you again, and I would get the chance to meet you." He gives me a smile, putting an arm around my mom.

"Well here I am." I wave my hands up smiling.

"Oh, I forgot your jacket. I'll be right back." My mom leaves us.

"Can I ask you a question?" I eye Vince.

"Of course." He crosses his arms.

"Is there something going on between you and my mom?" I raise an eyebrow and he laughs.

"I care about her. She's a wonderful woman. Puts a lot of work into this." He tells me.

"I didn't ask for your opinion about her." I cross my arms laughing as my mom comes back handing me the jacket.

"What's so funny?" She laughs.

"Liz was asking if anything is going on between us." He tells her and she laughs.

"We care about each other." She joins his side.

"It's a simple yes or no question." I laughed at them so they looked at each other. I knew the look. It's the look I always gave Gally when we first started getting close. "I know the answer. I'm gonna go find my friends. If that's okay?" I put on the jacket.

"I saw them that way." She points in the direction. "Okay. Thank you, mom." I say making her get a big smile. I rush over to give her a hug again not wanting to let go as I cry.

"Ava! That is my daughter! You can't just take her away from me!" My mother screams as Wicked men try dragging me out of her arms. "Yes, I can, Mary. She belongs to and with Wicked thanks to you working with us and bringing her here." Ava tells her as I cry, holding on to my mom's arms. "Mom please don't let them take me!" I cry out before being ripped from her arms. "No! She's mine! Give her back to me! Elizabeth! Please! Not my baby!" I see my mother being held back as I'm dragged out of the room.

tbch with you the main reason i disagree when people say "teresa was right all along" was because, at least in the books, she went about it so completely WRONG. she kept secrets, betrayed people she called friends, and lied to so many people just to get to an end goal she never ended up able to attain.

in the books, i will admit, she's less driven to find a cure; i think that was more movie teresa than book teresa. even in the movies, though, she betrays people and puts them in danger (like in TST, when she called WICKED to go to the Right Arm camp which would have killed so many people on both sides) to find a cure that she ends up finding, sure, but she isn't even able to use it on anyone. she put minho in a horrible situation that could've and probably did traumatize him, she put the right arm in danger, and, even if she helped thomas eventually, she still got him into a terrible situation and almost got him killed.

book teresa was CONSTANTLY lying to the gladers from the SECOND she woke up (as is especially revealed in fever code). she was able to communicate with aris since she was in the COMA and she refrained from telling a single person until TST, she lies to all of the group B about thomas, she betrayed him before he was sent into the Maze, and she repeatedly does cruel and heartless things in the name of WICKED variables and expects to be immediately forgiven, only to not achieve ANYTHING in the end.

that is to say, i understand why she did the things she did (she literally GREW UP under WICKED and had little exposure to anything else, which would have been when she was a very little kid, meaning she would hardly even remember it; because of this, she had no way of comparing WICKEDs actions and methods to any [morally sound] alternatives), but there were so many ways she could have gone about it that would have still gotten her to her end goal but not have ruined her as a person and made her closest friend despise her.

Ok ok Leia this one’s for you.

I’ve had this idea for a little bit now. But it’s super hard to explain so stay with me. (It’s based off the movie The Old Guard).

A universe where a select few people can’t die. They are practically immortal and can supposedly live forever without aging. No matter the injury they heal, depending on the size of the injury they will heal in minutes, or if it’s more serious, hours.

Each character is from a different time period. And since this is a maze runner AU I decided to have some fun with it.

Thomas and Teresa will be from this age. They work for the company called WICKED. The company is primarily involved in the medical field, using many resources to try and cure diseases, manufacture better medical equipment, etc.

Newt will be from about 1850 London (might change later). He was from the poor side of the city and was always trying to find cheap jobs to support his family. And as much as he tried to hide his sexuality he was eventually found out, and killed for his supposed “crimes��.

Brenda is from the 1980s (I know basic but still). I haven’t fully fleshed out this idea yet, but I have some stuff I’m thinking of.

Minho is another I’m still trying to flesh out but I definitely want him coming before Newt. I’d like to look more into Korean culture to come up with some cool ideas for his backstory.

Gally is going to be from the Second World War. An American soldier who is sent to the front lines only to lose brutally in the battle of bulge.

It’s pretty obvious this was a rough idea but I’m pretty proud of it. :)

this is just a theory (a game theory...) but what if ava paige is janson's mom???? she's older than him and they've always had this rebellious son/strict mom relationship tbh. maybe the reason why ava liked thomas more than teresa because thomas reminded ava of the son she always wanted and MAYBE that's why janson hates thomas so much because ava always favorited thomas even though thomas isn't even her son. why does this actually make sense

As cliche as it is Teresa had stolen my heart the second I saw her beautiful blue eyes. It didn't take me any time to figure out either. You know how in every love story there's a scene that's like 'it's always been you, and I was to blind to notice'? That wasn't what this was like. This was love at first sight, for me. I have no clue what it was for her, and I was too chicken to find out.

"Are you going to tell her or are you going to watch Thomas flirt with her?"Minho asked, nudging me.

"It doesn't bother me. We're just friends,"I shrugged.

"And I have bad hair days,"He responded, rolling his eyes.

"You are so funny Minho,"I deadpanned, rolling mine back.

"Just tell her how you feel. What's the worst that could happen?"He pushed.

I sighed at the idiocy of his statement.

"Is that even a real question? She could reject me, and nothing would ever be the same. Everything would be awkward."

"No. What's awkward is seeing the way one of you is always staring. Everything's all spelled out for you. Go tell her."

"I'd rather not."

"You're overthinking this. Just waltz over, be all nice and charming, and confess your feelings. Easy enough,"He shrugged.

"That's easy for you to say. You aren't the one telling her,"I pointed out.

I instantly knew this was the wrong thing to say by the smirk on his face. "You wouldn't dare,"I said, narrowing my eyes at him.

"Oh, but I would,"He told me. Before I could react he was running off.

"I'm going to kill you,"I threatened, feeling the Gladers confused and amused stares on my back.

"I'm the Runner here,"He yelled back. That was incredibly true. I had been a Cook. Those were total opposites.

I did everything I could to catch him before stumbling down a hill. I fell down and ate a mouthful of sand. I groaned as I moved my head to spit it out.

"That was smooth Y/N. It's a great way to catch her attention,"Minho shouted. I wanted to bury my face back in the sand. Everyone knew who the only other girl here was.

"Are you alright?"Teresa asked, ignoring him.

"Yeah, I'm cool. I mean this isn't cool, but I am. I mean I'm really not that cool. Actually, you know what? I'm going to stop talking,"I rambled.

"Graceful as ever,"She chuckled, helping me up.

"She wants to kiss you,"Minho yelled. Now I think I should actually crawl back in the sand.

"Really?"She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I mean, I would unless of course you didn't want to. Then, I wouldn't, but I would if you did."

"I do,"She interrupted. For a second I thought I still had sand in my ears.

"Then, I want to kiss you. I mean I said that earlier, but-"
