HARKEN, hale of Haafingar, and hear the homages of our hearth;
The sweeping, sky-skimming spine of the city's solitary crescent
Rises from the rigid rock, proud and persisting
Tall against the tolling tides and the trials of interminable time.
-Exerpt from 'Ode to the Founding'

there are two types of leafs fans in this world:
-those who are taking the playoffs series by series/game by game after that win, bcz they're traumatized and don't want to be crushed again
-and those who're like "IT'S TIME FOR THE CUP"

One of the things that always makes me smile whenever I'm back in Paris is the fact that the citizens have always been so rebellious – with good reason – that the authorities decided to rebuild whole swathes of the city, replacing chaotic and narrow streets – easy to barricade in an uprising – with straight and wide avenues, easier to control.

this blog is the only place i really share my thoughts online and the francis scott key bridge collapse is making me literally so sad. the company i work for has a store just over it, i’ve been there plenty of times. one of my core memories is crying because i was scared driving over it in the pouring rain on my way to my cousin’s birthday party and my mom, who was too scared to drive the bridge and had her niece so it, trying to call me down. that’s my home that’s been hurt. my home that this country continually shits on and disrespects. baltimore will always have a place in my heart. i really don’t see myself anywhere else in the world.

I always love how the city dresses up Rosa Parks Circle for the holidays. Hopefully you're all having a warm start to the new year ❤
