also im thinking of making deltarune ocs based on spamton mentioning ‘the ketchup kids’ in the sweepstakes twitter qna and tenna saying “tear down my house, tear down my kids” and so the ketchup kids are spamton’s nibling’s who refuse to call him their uncle but they Do call jevil their uncle. bc they like him better and he taught them to play games and beat spamton at them every time

Xenia sighed after the tale had wrapped up. “It ends there. I like the Quarskal version better, personally. It ends less abruptly, y’know? And it doesn’t have the weird poem.” she asked, blinking when he stood up abruptly and started walking across the hall, “Where are you going?”

“There’s a moonstone hidden in here, somewhere.” he replied, feeling along the wall behind the dais at the end of the hall. “It has to be here.”

She stood up and joined him, “Your family’s treasure, you mean?” she asked, tilting her head to the side, “It’s a moonstone?”

“My wha—oh! Yes. That’s my family treasure!”

She gave him a suspicious look, but she shrugged his tone off as weird foreign prince nonsense, “Why do you think it’s here?” she asked, pressing her own palm to the wall.

“It’s where—um, I read, in another, uh, more detailed legend, that the noble family used to keep their coffers behind—“ he paused, looking at her hand. It was quickly growing brighter and brighter, and, much to his alarm, it appeared to be adhered to the wall. “Why are you glowing?”

She blinked up at him owlishly, “I’m…?” she paused, turning to her own hand, “Oh, goddesses, I’m glowing. Why am I glowing?”

“I just asked you that! Why would I know?”

“I don’t…I’m—it’s pulling me!” she shrieked, desperately trying to tug herself away from the wall. It didn’t work. Soon her arms were buried up to her elbows in the charred wood paneling, and then the rest of her body followed.

She gasped, falling back onto nothing in a plain, white space. The only things in the area were herself and a glittering gemstone that broke apart the bright light of the strange room, casting dazzling prismatic shadows along the faraway walls. The center of the huge gemstone had turned an unhealthy, ashen grey that let no light escape. She knew what it was immediately, and it certainly wasn’t a ‘family gemstone’.

This was a dragonlight, a concentrated vessel for draconic power only rumored to exist. It was a vessel imbued with dragonfire and ancient magic, but something was wrong with it. It was weakening, somehow. She didn’t understand how she even knew that, but she did understand that if she managed to bring this back to the university, she could write a few dozen theses. She could maybe even get a tenured position. She reached out for it, wrapping both hands around the gem, turned around to find herself back in the castle ruins. The smoke that clouded the rock’s interior nearly covered the entire surface now. She tapped it, feeling none of the warmth it carried moments earlier. Still, though, it was once a vessel. And that should be enough.

“Cass! Cassius, I found the relic! It’s a dragonlight! This could potentially be proof that some draconic beings do hold the spark of sentience, isn’t that exciting?”

A booming chuckle forced the childish sense of hopefulness from her mind, nearly sending her to her knees from its sheer magnitude alone. She heard words after the laugh but her brain was so muddled that she failed to understand them. The next thing she knew, a clawed hand the size of a cottage came crashing through one of the shattered bay windows. It sent broken glass flying across the entire hall as it began feeling around for something. Maybe her? It was entirely possible that poor Cassius was already in the beast’s grip, or worse.

All thoughts of the scholarly acclaim she’d receive from finding the dragonlight vanished in that moment.

She had to run.

I wish I had some ability to animate the various PV ideas I have.

The only programs I’ve got is Flipnote studio and Flash, and well Flipnote can only do so much with potato audio quality and size limitations and Flash kinda uh isn’t supported anymore and is stuck on one of my ancient semi functional laptops 💀.

But I do have so so so many ideas— mostly animating characters to music I think fits them or their stories and general small animation memes, but so so so so so many. Idk I could try downloading FlipaClip again even if it’s not that great but uhg.

Wind Breaker OC

Name: Furuya Nozomi

Kanji: 希実, "hopeful truth" (Nozomi)

School Year: Second

School: ??? (I’m so bad at place and school names for Japanese characters, forgive me for now)

Affiliation: Ketsueki to Hana (Blood and Flowers)

KtH is primarily known for protecting young girls/women from predatory men

Not an especially large group — only about ten to twelve members at any given time

Nozomi is the leader and took over from her predecessor only recently

They don’t generally advocate for weapons but they make use of them when necessary (anything they can get their hands on, really, but never anything with a blade)

Most of the girls are from Nozomi’s school but some are friends of friends, or middle schoolers who just want to feel safe with a group of older girls

Fashion: Bright colors and loose, flowy clothing. She has too many pairs of sneakers and keeps buying more to match different outfits. She wears the choker necklace Kazue bought her for her birthday at all times. Dyes her hair blue because it’s Kazue’s favorite color and Nozomi’s a sap.

Likes: Bad dramas, macha-flavored anything, Kazue’s pet rabbit

Dislikes: Older men (she doesn’t hate men outright, but she takes a long time to warm up to them and isn’t quick to trust anyone, period), cold weather, itchy clothing (she cuts all the tags off her clothes and refuses to wear wool)

School uniform: Sailor-style. Navy blue with white trim on the collar and hem of the shirt. Most of the girls wear shorts under their skirts and leggings/tights in winter. Nozomi hates the tie on hers but begrudgingly lets Kazue do it for her every morning at the school gates (not that the teachers are likely to say anything, but Kazue is a stickler for rules, whether it’s school or fashion, and she hates when Nozomi is underdressed).

KtH uniform: A black leather jacket with a cluster of begonias embroidered on the back. The begonias are white with blood dripping off the petals, giving them a half-white, half-red appearance.

Only uses polite speech around Kazue’s parents (and when Kazue asks nicely) — and only because they were the first people (aside from her cousin) to validate her relationship with Kazue, who told her that they were so grateful to her for bringing happiness into Kazue’s life rather than ruining her future prospects.

The girls’ high school is adjacent to Shishitoren’s territory and they used to get into fights with some of the rowdier members (prior to Sakura’s intervention and Togame and Choji turning over a new leaf).

Nozomi carries a ring of keys with her everywhere she goes. No key chains or accessories, just keys - one from each home she’s ever stayed in, each locker she’s ever kept, etc. Anything that’s required her to use her a key, she’s kept it (whether she was meant to or not). The key to her childhood home is the oldest and most worn down from her thumbing over it absentmindedly in a habit she’s never been able to kick. She was kicked out because of her sexual orientation when she was 12 and bounced around family members’ houses (and manga cafes, etc.) until she landed with her older cousin, Momoka, last year (which is now officially the place she’s stayed the longest). She’s famously broken a few noses with the key ring and likes to joke she prefers it to brass knuckles.

Nozomi and Kazue met a few weeks after Nozomi moved into Momoka’s apartment. Nozomi had yet to make any friends and walked home alone most of the time, unless Momoka was able to pick her up from school. The club she’d reluctantly joined ran late and Nozomi was unlucky enough to be by herself on a vacant street when she got cornered by two older teenage boys. She’d been toeing the line at that point because she was afraid Momoka would toss her out if she got into any fights, but then one of the boys got handsy and she’d slipped the key ring over her fingers—

When this tiny, glasses-wearing girl came out of nowhere and smacked the guy over the head with her messenger bag (with three hefty textbooks inside), sending him crashing into his friend and giving the girl the chance to grab Nozomi and run. Nozomi was too stunned by the intervention to protest and they didn’t stop until they were practically outside the girl’s well-lit home.

Turns out Kazue was more terrified by the experience than she was, but it hadn’t stopped her from coming to her rescue. Nozomi fell in love right then and there. They joined KtH at the same time, even though Nozomi insisted Kazue didn’t need to, Nozomi could protect them both. But Kazue just linked hands with her and promised they could keep protecting each other this way. They started dating the next day.

my relationship to astrology is that i don’t believe in it in the slightest, but i do find it interesting in the sense that learning about different faiths or belief systems helps me better understand how others think — but there’s also part of me that can’t resist at least briefly entertaining occult or fantastical ideas, so i do get curious about my placements and what astrologists have to say about it. and like 90% of the time it’s totally incongruous with my lived experience so i read it and think “okay well that’s dumb”, but once in a while there’s something that seems so eerily accurate that for a second i forget about the other 90% and go “oh fuck maybe astrology is real”
