Finished my drawing of the book covers for the comic Nonesuch. It was a lot of work but I’m proud of the result. I felt like I really managed to capture the vibe of the comic here. Some of you may wonder why I put in this much effort, and let me explain. Please indulge me for a minute. This comic really helped work through some religious angst I was feeling at the time. I’m still religious but I think I have a more well rounded view of things because of this comic. I made this cover because my school has a book binding station. I wanna make the 3 prints available into an omnibus. I’ve been trying to get my hands on book three but prints of this comic are extremely hard to come by due to low demand so it hasn’t been able to come back in stock. If you haven’t read Nonsuch yet it’s completed and for free on Webtoon, and you don’t even need an account. If you have read it and enjoyed it, I’d like you to request volume 3 prints to make a return.

Proof of concept. Have some ideas for a comic starring the King. I’d put in quite a few triggers since it’s more or less seeing the King’s descent into madness. I think he’d be someone who deals with intense dissociation that he never tries to heal from.

It’s late & I have school tomorrow, but Imma post real quick about deltarune.

Unfortunately I lost some of my save files so I had to replay a good chunk of Ch. 1 & Ch. 2, but replaying them made me remember how much I loved about Deltarune in the first place. It very much taps into that teen (or even adult) desire of wanting to ditch class to go on a magical adventure. As well as realizing that there are many people who experience loneliness like you do in high school. They just all react differently. I loved seeing all the character dynamics again. Specifically Susie & Lancer and Kris and Ralsei.

As for Ch. 3, I have just started. No spoilers but the first 5 minutes have already emotionally devastated me lol.

I’m so glad so many of you voted yes for my cutesy art! Specifically, I wanted to do that because I wanna draw a lot of webtoons this June! So I’m gonna start off with a rough piece! I may or may not have gotten obsessed with some mermay art this year from a webtoon creator. So excited to work on this one!

My Delicate Wings

A few months ago in art therapy as my final assignment, I was given the prompt to show where I was in my healing journey by drawing the progress of a butterfly. Caterpillar being at the beginning and butterfly being at the end. I really liked this concept (I didn’t post the original traditional art concept because it’s pretty messy since I only had an hour to draw it) so I decided to create a digital recreation more acute to my vision. I chose to draw myself as a butterfly just breaking out of my cocoon. I’ve mostly healed from my previous wounds, but I have only barely broken out of my cocoon. My wings are still wet and fragile. I’m still a little too vulnerable to fly. I know I’ll get there someday though. I just need some time to dry and spread my wings. Once I do though, I’ll let you know how it feels to fly. 🦋
