One Year Older and Another Size Up

I'm back with Jimin's birthday fic...finally! Thank you for your patience and kindness! I'm grateful for all the people who checked in and sent well wishes. I actually only had bad weather on Friday and Saturday, thankfully passing without too many problems. I then unfortunately had some technical difficulties and one of my stories got reported so I had to resolve that before I could post. But we're good now!

So, a few days late and a little stress later - here is my Jimin birthday story. Hopefully, I'll get back to the Chubtober prompts starting tomorrow! <3

Jimin had honestly not expected to wake up alone on his birthday. He would be the first to admit that he is spoiled by his pack, especially as the only omega, but it was strange that he didn’t have a clingy Tae or an excited Jungkook plastered against his side.

After taking a few minutes to get his bearings, Jimin realized that a considerable amount of noise was coming from their kitchen. He sat up and stretched a bit, listening for any hints of what his pack was setting up for him but heard nothing aside from quiet bickering.

Quickly moving through his morning routine, Jimin tugged on his silk robe and tied it around his waist as he made his way out to the kitchen. It likely would be surprising to people that a pack of college mates lived as domestically as they did, but knowing who your mates are by the first year of high school makes that easy.

Jimin stood at the edge of the room, watching his pack hustle around to finish setting everything up with a fond smile on his face. His mates had clearly prepared every single one of his favorite breakfast foods, unsurprising but appreciated.

It was never directly addressed, but Jimin knew that his mates had a motivated interest in pampering him as their pack omega and the physical effects of that treatment seemed to be a source of their pride and attraction as well.

Plump omegas were a sign of a healthy pack and Jimin knew that he more than fulfilled that image. On most days, it was a lot of scenting and cuddling with his mates regularly checking in, walking him to class, and ensuring that he ate all his meals.

However, on a day like his birthday, Jimin knew that he was in for the pampering of a lifetime. He would not be hungry, unscented, or lonely all day and he certainly wasn’t going to complain about that.

“Good morning, my loves,” Jimin finally said, breaking the chaotic state of his pack preparing for his special breakfast. He couldn’t help but laugh as they all turned to him wide-eyed, somehow not realizing that he had joined them.

After a beat of silence, everyone seemed to jump into action with a chorus of “Happy Birthday” ringing out through the house. Jimin’s laugh grew louder as various arms wrapped around him in tight embraces.

Before he was sat down in front of an impressively high-piled plate, Jimin received all his morning affection - a little extra from each of them considering the celebration. Jin was the last to greet him, holding him a little longer and whispering all the sweet words he could muster while Yoongi somehow managed to add even more to their omega’s large serving of breakfast.

As meals like that tend to be, Jimin’s morning seemed to be a blur. He ate with no hesitation, grateful for a pack that cared for him so well and appreciative for a body that showed it. His mates talked about their plans for the day and shared their words of love and appreciation for Jimin.

Nearing the last few bites on his plate, Jimin loosened the tie on his robe - reminding himself how silly it was to knot it tightly around his soft waist. He had been in that position many times before and knew better than to limit his stomach space to grow.

While he wasn’t slim by any means, Jimin had always been more bottom-heavy with his weight. He also knew that his appetite had grown with his size thanks to his mates and that his not-as-prominent tummy became much more noticeably round whenever he was presented with Jin and Yoongi’s delicious food.

Jimin just giggled at the smirk on Jin’s face; the beta always seemed to catch the omega’s moments of needing to adjust whatever he was wearing while eating. With less tension on his stomach, Jimin finished his breakfast and a couple more bites that he was offered as he tried to leave the table and get ready for the day.

As it was his birthday, Jimin had a very specific outfit in mind - his favorite lavender skirt and black knit cardigan with flowers. He loved his wardrobe as most were gifts from Taehyung and Hoseok, but those two items, in particular, were his go-to for special days.

With the help of his white bodysuit, the pretty skirt still had a little give, meaning his big breakfast hadn’t been too big. Jimin certainly had clothes that could no longer accommodate a full day, fitting snugly on an empty stomach with no chance of making it through his meals.

After styling his hair and finishing the last touches on his makeup, Jimin did a little twirl for himself in the mirror and loved the way he looked. He knew some omegas didn’t love the natural weight that came with mating, but Jimin liked knowing that his pack’s love and affection were evident every day.

Thursday was the one day when all seven of them had a morning class so Jimin got to walk to campus with his entire pack. Namjoon insisted on stopping by the nearby coffee shop to get him a frappe and his favorite chocolate croissant as if they hadn’t just eaten a massive meal, but the omega would never turn them down.

Jimin ate and drank as they walked, excitedly talking about building a big nest in the living room and watching ‘The Notebook’ for their evening plans. He finished his croissant and accepted the last few bites of Taehyung’s as the alpha claimed it was a gesture of love the omega could not turn down.

Jimin felt the presence of his growing-tighter skirt waistband after the ‘dessert’ to his barely digested breakfast as the pack led him to his Creative Writing class and dropped him off with promises of a midday lunch at Jimin’s favorite campus cafe afterward. He sipped on his water throughout the class and hoped that his first meal of the day would be fully digested before they sat down for lunch.

His class went by quickly, accepting some kind birthday wishes from a few friends and even a cookie from Taemin that Jimin definitely should have saved instead of eating it during class. Knowing that he had an extra thirty minutes before the others were out of class, Jimin decided to take a little walk.

Making a few laps around the quad, Jimin was hoping to gain some more space for lunch. He knew his mates would once again get all his favorites for their second birthday meal of the day and the last thing he wanted was to tap out of eating or break out of his skirt.

Yoongi and Namjoon’s music production class ended early and walked Jimin to the cafe, deciding to get a table and at least order drinks before the others arrived. Somehow, Jimin was convinced to get a milkshake even though he had just had a frappe a few hours earlier and it was lunchtime, but Yoongi reasoned that it was his birthday and he deserved it.

The others approached the table soon after, Jungkook setting down a large taro boba tea in front of Jimin who was already drinking his salted caramel milkshake. The omega’s eyes widened, but he also would never turn down their sweet gestures or a boba tea.

Jimin wasn’t even focused on what was ordered, knowing his pack would pick all his favorite dishes anyway. He instead listened to Taehyung’s story about the drama in his and Jin’s acting class while he finished his milkshake and moved on to his boba tea.

Mindlessly drinking while listening to his mates talk hadn’t been Jimin’s best choice as he was feeling quite full and sloshy when their food arrived. He had managed to finish the entire milkshake, over half the boba tea, and the Diet Coke he initially ordered before being handed a bowl of spicy jajangmyeon and an order of dumplings just for him.

Against his better judgment, Jimin decided that the heavy carbs might help fill his stomach more substantially than the large amount of liquid already weighing him down. He ate his noodles enthusiastically, finishing his boba tea and his Diet Coke refill not once but twice to combat the spice.

Jimin felt inappropriately full for early afternoon, but he also felt thoroughly and deeply loved with all the intentional decisions from his pack. On top of all those feelings, Jimin was ready for a nap and maybe a more comfortable outfit.

Excusing himself to the bathroom, Jimin immediately saw the burden on his waistband as soon as he crossed in front of the mirror. It looked as if he was a few bites away from splitting the fabric right at the seams.

After a struggle to undo the creaking clasp, Jimin took in the most satisfying deep breath that expanded his stomach well beyond what his skirt allowed him before. The zipper put up a fight of its own as he forced it down to take all pressure off his sensitive middle.

Taking some time to breathe and fix his hair since he was there allowed Jimin to relax and start digesting. He stood in front of the mirror with his skirt undone until the door swung open and another omega stepped inside the bathroom. Jimin ducked into the first open stall so he could reclasp his skirt in privacy.

However, it was not that easy.

As soon as Jimin gave his stomach more room to breathe, his body had no intention of stuffing itself back into his skirt. Sucking in as much as possible a few times while leaning up against the wall finally allowed him to latch the clasp. Zipping it back, though, was definitely not going to happen.

Jimin tried to hide the fact that he was breathing heavily as he walked back out to the mirror, taking a look at how obvious his unzipped skirt was. He ignored the blush high on his cheeks as he avoided the eyes of the omega washing her hands. Jimin waited for her to leave before stepping back and looking at how noticeable the zipper was without hiding it.

Normally Jimin wouldn’t mind the need to make some room for his bloated stomach, but it wasn’t often that they were out in public when this happened. He intentionally wrapped his cardigan around him tightly to cover his side, praying that the clasp held firm until they got back home.

As he returned to the table, his pack looked up at him with confused expressions - likely due to the fact that he was gone for a while and that he was hiding himself under his sweater which was not like Jimin at all.

Namjoon opened his arm, offering Jimin to sit on his lap as a gesture of comfort, but Jimin simply shook his head. The omega knew that if he sat down now, he had no chance of getting home with the skirt in tact.

“Can we go?” Jimin asked quietly, a bit anxious which was odd.

“Everything okay, baby?” Jin asked in reply, concerned that something happened in the omega’s time away from the table.

Jimin looked around a few times before pulling back his sweater to reveal his zipper. “It won’t be okay if I even take a deep breath at this point so let’s please go,” he replied quietly and then tugged his cardigan back around him.

A moment of silence passed before his mates burst into laughter, only further endeared by Jimin’s embarrassed smile and pink cheeks. They all stood while continuing to laugh, a few placing gentle kisses on Jimin’s cheeks and forehead. Jungkook offered to take the omega’s bag as well as they left the restaurant.

As they walked, Jimin felt the pull of the fabric and continued silently hoping that nothing happened to split the clasp open. He was caught up in his head until Taehyung wrapped around his back, matching his steps.

“It’s fine, Min. No one can tell,” the alpha whispered in his ear, hands gently resting on Jimin’s bloated middle. “Honestly, babe, I don’t think you’ll lose this skirt even if the clasp breaks anyway.”

“Hey!” Jimin cut back, unable to hide his giggle as he leaned into the teasing alpha’s chest. His mates all joined in laughing, having heard Taehyung’s remark.

Jin picked up the pace to walk beside them and pinched the omega’s cheek. “Don’t worry, baby. You can change when we get back and relax. We wouldn’t want you to split your favorite skirt.”

Jimin’s entire body warmed up with embarrassment but also love from Jin’s words. He knew it was only a matter of time before he outgrew his favorite outfits with the way the pack was feeding him, but he also knew they would find him equally cute clothes.

Yoongi and Hoseok assumed that his silent consideration was Jimin thinking about losing his favorite clothing, leading Hoseok to comfort him. “We can always find a tailor or get you a new skirt for your birthday next year, Minnie. I know you love that one.”

Before Jimin could respond, Taehyung jiggled his full stomach from behind and kissed his cheek. “Hmm, this one isn’t making it to next year, Hobi. Maybe new skirts for Christmas,” the alpha teased again.

Jimin’s jaw dropped. “Kim Taehyung!”

There was another beat of silence until the pack burst into laughter yet again; Jimin leaning his weight into the alpha’s chest as he joined in. He certainly wasn’t bothered by the teasing, especially when it was true and he loved that it was in response to the proof of their pampering on his body.

They laughed as they walked until Jimin stopped, feeling a snap at his side. The omega pulled Taehyung’s arm back and slipped the fabric of his cardigan away to look at his skirt - clasp now long gone, having snapped under the mixed pressure of his stuffed belly and joyous laughter.

A deep red tinge filled Jimin’s cheeks as he saw the remnants of his skirt’s clasp flared open on his side, the fabric not having moved an inch without the clasp that he thought was his saving grace to get home.

Taehyung smirked again and encouraged Jimin to keep walking. “See, birthday boy, I knew you had nothing to worry about.”

Jimin groaned again with a faux pout as his pack laughed at the continued teasing. He never thought he’d say ruining his favorite skirt would be the highlight of his birthday, but his mates’ love for him proves itself every day.

Notes: Recently, my obsession with Builder x Unsuur has grown to fanatical heights, and the Knives Out update has only increased that obsession. No spoilers, but Unsuur is top tier when it comes to romance.

General:

How long will they last? - Until they both die from old age.

How quickly did/will they fall in love? - Hmm... Well, because of the mystery letters Liira received in her mailbox, it's safe to assume that Unsuur was the one who fell first, watching her from afar and marveling at her accomplishments until he finally decided to make his admiration known through letters. Their romance was a slow, steady burn, with Unsuur falling harder.

How was their first kiss? - Soft and chaste. They were sitting side by side, counting some of the rocks he collected, when suddenly, Unsuur leaned down a little and kissed her when she turned her head to face him.

Wedding:

Who proposed? - Unsuur. Liira was actually going to propose to him first, but he beat her to it.

Who is the best man/men? - Justice or Captain. Unsuur had difficulty choosing, so he made them both his best man. Justice showed up with Captain in his arms. Both were dressed to the nines, with the cat wearing an adorable bow tie and hat.

Who is the braid’s maid(s)? - Liira's best friend, Mi-an

Who did the most planning? - Both. Unsuur and Liira had a specific theme for their wedding that included warm palettes and rocks that Unsuur handpicked. Hell, even their wedding rings were made out of quartz.

Who stressed the most? - Liira. Liira was nervous that the wedding wouldn’t be the “dream wedding” she always wanted and that Unsuur would realize that he had made a mistake and leave her at the altar. Of course, Unsuur had his wedding jitters, but Liira's was worst and would have spiraled if Trudy hadn't given her a much-needed pep talk.

How fancy was the ceremony? - Back of a pickup truck | 2 | 3 | 4 | Normal Church Wedding | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Kate and William wish they were this big.

Who was specifically not invited to the wedding? - Everyone was invited, but let's just say that certain members of the Church of Light were not given an invitation...for obvious reasons.

Who is on top? - It depends. Unsuur is not shy when it comes to sex, and Liira is always happy to switch it up a little. They have a very healthy sex life, with both working together to ensure the other feels good and safe.

Who is the one to instigate things? - Surprisingly Unsuur. He’ll pick her up and carry her off to their room if he's in the mood.

Who gets stuck with the most diapers? - Unsuur. Liira does change the diapers, but she’s usually too busy doing supply runs or working on commissions to help with the baby. That doesn't mean she's lazy or a bad mother. She does bring her kid with her to work in a cute little baby sling. You'll often see her riding around town on her camel with the baby strapped safely to her back.

Who is the stricter parent? - Liira and Unsuur are not strict parents, but they aren't lax in giving out punishments. However, Unsuur is the more laid-back parent, whereas Liira is quietly firm and instills a healthy amount of discipline in her child.

Who stops the kid(s) from doing dangerous stunts after school? - Liira. Why? Because she used to be that kid who did dangerous stunts back when she and Nia were kids.

Who remembers to pack the lunch(es)? - Unsuur.

Who is the more loved parent? - Both. Their child loves both parents equally.

Who is more likely to attend the PTA meetings? - Liira. Unsuur is one of those “MY KIDS WOULDN’T DO THAT” parent so Liira is usually the one teachers call up to the school.

Who cried the most at graduation? - Liira and Unsuur.

Who is more likely to bail the child(ren) out of trouble with the law? - Unsuur. He'll just simply frame a rock and get his kid off Scott-free.

Cooking:

Who does the most cooking? - Unsuur. The man is a five-star chef in the kitchen and can make the most delicious meals.

Who is the most picky in their food choice? - Liira. She wants her food cooked in a certain way, but she does eat whatever Unsuur puts in front of her.

Who does the grocery shopping? - Liira. Sometimes, Unsuur will be too busy with the Civil Corps to do any grocery shopping, so Liira is always the one getting food.

How often do they bake desserts? - Not often. Liira will sometimes make a pound cake, but that’s just about it.

Are they more of a meat lover or a salad eater? - Both will eat salads and meats.

Who is more likely to surprise the other(s) with an anniversary dinner? - Liira. She can’t cook worth a shit, but that won’t stop her from trying.

Who is more likely to suggest going out? - Unsuur. He'll go into the desert to dig up rare minerals and bring Liira along with him.

Who is more likely to burn the house down accidentally while cooking? - Liira.

Chores:

Who cleans the room? - Liira. She’s extremely neat and will do a deep cleanse of the house every weekend.

Who is really against chores? - Neither.

Who cleans up after the pets? - Both. Their pets consist of the dog, Nemo, and Liira's camel, Brownie.

Who is more likely to sweep everything under the rug? - Neither.

Who stresses the most when guests are coming over? - Liira. She wants things to be absolutely perfect and will have a meltdown if she spots even a speck of dust on the wall.

Who found a dollar between the couch cushions while cleaning? - Liira.

Misc:

Who takes the longer showers/baths? - Liira. She likes to drown her hair in honey shampoo and snuggle with Unsuur in the tub.

Who takes the dog out for a walk? - Unsuur. Nemo has a gift for sniffing out rocks, and the pup will always present one to Unsuur.

How often do they decorate the room/house for the holidays? - They love decorating for the holidays to the point where their house is drowning in lights and decorations.

What are their goals for the relationship? - For Unsuur, it’s bettering himself as a person and keeping Liira happy. For Liira, it’s learning how to be in a happy and healthy relationship without the toxicity she experienced with Pen.

Who is most likely to sleep till noon? - Neither.

Who plays the most pranks? - Unsuur. He prefers harmless pranks that aren’t jump scares or cause bodily harm. He'll play little pranks like hiding a whoopie cushion in a chair or mismatching socks.

Hi hun, I don't know if your requests are open right now, but I could really use some sort of comfort Imagine right now and I was hoping I could come and ask you. It doesn't even have to be a full set of Headcanons, just a short blurb about some Characters will do if that's fine with you.

I've been really struggling with my chronic illnesses lately, and I keep imagining the Fellowship taking care of me, so I thought I'd ask for an Imagine about that. I have a really weird condition where my right leg is physically longer than my left, which causes really intense pain in my hip and leg and also difficulty walking, so I've been really struggling with that lately. There's also the chronic fatigue from my sleep apnea, I'm absolutely covered in bruises that I don't remember getting, the classic anxiety and depression and executive dysfunction.. it's just been a difficult week tbh.

I'd appreciate any kind words right now. Thanks for being so kind and supportive to me, it means more than you could ever know. I hope it's alright that I ask this of you. Godspeed, hun 💕

A/N: Hello Ro! I’m sorry this took a while, I hope the pain eases soon and that these headcanons help. If you ever need to talk, my DM's are open anytime!

You’ve known the Fellowship ever since you were a little girl. You met them when your parents sent you off to Imladris to seek the aid of Lord Elrond, one of the greatest healers in Middle-Earth. For you had an unusual physical condition, where your right leg grew longer than your left. It made walking difficult and a burning pain to spiderweb from your hip down.

Lord Elrond tried everything he could in his power to help you, and yet there was little he could do except ease the pain. No amount of magic can prevent physical growth.

The tears that welled up in your eyes that day pained him more than any wound can. A child, barely twelve years old, experiencing such excruciating pain right in front of him, and yet he can’t do anything about it. And from that moment on, he promised to you that he’d do anything he can to help you, and care for you.

So with the permission of your worried parents, Lord Elrond gave you an offer to stay in Imladris for as long as you wish. To heal and receive the care you need. Which you kindly accepted.

For years up to adulthood, you lived in Imladris; drinking Athleas tea every morning and night for the pain and sleep apnea. While it wasn’t a cure, it helped make life much more bearable. Allowing you to enjoy certain activities and walk around with only half the pain.

During those years you became great friends with the Fellowship. For they travelled often to Imladris to visit and rest between trips. They became your family, always joking and telling stories of their travels; teaching you new tricks and how to defend yourself. And in return you’d tell them stories of the elves around you. How the Ellon in the smithy loves to tease the Elleth in the bakery. Or how the children would braid flower crowns for you.

The boys know of your difficulties with your leg and illnesses. They’re constantly worried for you; asking how you are, helping when the pain begins to spike and holding you when you begin to cry. Everytime it starts getting bad again, they tell you it's okay to feel weak and to cry. That you don’t have to be strong all the time.

Aragorn

Aragorn is surprisingly soft despite his tough exterior

He believes that crying and venting about your frustrations is the most healthy way to deal

So on days you are having a rough time he’ll sit down with you in his lap, holding you tightly into his chest. One arm around your body and one hand in your hair

Aragorn will let you cry and yell into him, all while pressing small kisses into your hair

He’s not a very wordy person, so it’s not often he will whisper sweet things, but when he does. It’s always so soft and helps relax you

“Deep breaths Hun, It’ll be okay”

Legolas

A soft baby- an absolute angel when it comes to comforting you

Legolas is very big on grounding yourself and staying focused on your surroundings

So when he notices you’re beginning to have a rough time, nearing a panic attack, He preps a cup of Athleas tea and brings you to a private area

He’ll have you sit between his legs, and his arms gently wrapped around you torso

Legolas will have you ground yourself by telling him 3 things you smell, feel, hear and see

“Close your eyes, little one and listen… Listen to the birds sing”

As you begin to relax, he whispers praises, proud of how strong you are

“You’re doing so well, I’m proud of you”

Boromir

I love this man oml

If you’re bedridden due to the pain he’d 100% do whatever you ask of him

Need more pillows? Steals them from every. Single. Bedroom.

“Boro- holy crap how many did you take!?”

“Uh.. all?”

There is now a national shortage of pillows

Need more warmth? Will make a nest of blankets and wrap you up in his cloak

Gimli

In true Gimli fashion, when he notices your anxiety he 100% wants to fight whoever triggered it

He gets a bit aggressive in the beginning, insisting to fist fight your problems away

but when you tell him that it’s something that can't be fought off, that its a constant thing, he calms down and just

“Oh oh wait Im so sorry”

Cue soft Gimli

Will rub your back affectionately while speaking softly

Asking if there is anything he could do to help

Another babe who will do anything you ask of him

If the panic attack happens in public, Gimli will bring you somewhere more private

He’ll shield you with his body from the eyes of the public and glare at anyone who dares stare

Not very good with soft comfort but if you ever need to feel safe and protected go to him

“Dont worry Lassie” (head pats) “I’ll protect you, You’re safe now”

Frodo

Sweet darling baby angel bean

He completely understands your anxieties and pain

Frodo did carry the one ring across middle earth after all

He absolutely has PTSD from it, so there have been many times the two of you would stay up late together when you can’t sleep, drinking tea

You find comfort in the fact that he’s quite similar to you, and vice versa

Most often, you guys will talk about what's going on and comfort each other

On the nights the two of you don’t wish to talk, Frodo will read stories to you

His voice is so soft and comforting, It never fails to lull you to sleep

“None of them noticed a large, tawny owl flutter past the window” He reads aloud, peaking up at you and notices the way your lips part, a soft snore emitting. He hums, “Goodnight Y/N, sleep well”

Sam

This hobbit is such a softie

He understands that with mental disorders, you may forget to eat or care for yourself

So he always watches you, making sure you’re eating and you aren’t

Oh boy

bokuto shrugged it off at first as he shouldn’t complain bc a teammate dropped a conversation to continue training with anahori - i mean, onaga came to volleyball club to practise so he wasn’t obligated to make conversation with bokuto

but while he was saying his goodbyes to everyone as they left the gym to go home, it hit him-

anyway, oikawa is another one that is extra af when they come to your games

and when you come out onto the court, he’ll blow you a kiss and if you don’t blow one back he’ll be so offended lmao

bc he always makes a big deal out blowing you a kiss or winking at you as soon as he steps out onto the court

it’s basically a thing he does for good luck at this point

also, if there are ever ppl trying to take pictures of y’all in public- oikawa is the first to make a big show for them

like he’s all up on you

he’ll dip you then push his lips against you for a passionate kiss, in front of the ppl and they always go fkn crazy

but y’all only get attention around summertime when you are frequently playing big games

sometimes you both come back from a rough day at work, slump on the couch and watch TV together

after showering, changing, dinner etc

he’s not nna come anywhere near you if he thinks there is a chance he might be stinky from practise

he turned on the TV and it just so happened to be on an Live volleyball game in some language that neither of you understood

he’d snake his arms around your shoulders and pull you close to his chest, satisfied by your synced breathing

he’d press a single kiss against your jaw before shifting his attention onto the channel

you’d lay there in his arms, both of you seeming content in each other’s presence while watching the game

in reality though, neither of you were actually absorbing anything that was happening on the court - you were just staring blankly at the TV

the TV simply served as background noise to your cuddling

tbh he was way more interested in hearing the sound of your heart beat peacefully against his chest

after a while, if he gets bored, he might finally break the silence by inquiring about your day

but if he doesn’t, you’d probably end up falling asleep in his arms, forcing him to sleep on the couch bc he’s doesn’t want to risk moving and waking you up 🥺

anyway, he’s another one that likes to save volleyball for work then leave it by the door as soon as you step inside the house

but he’s not as uptight about it as oikawa or kita

like he’ll happily put on a volleyball match for you guys to watch if he thinks the player’s techniques are impressive

also, if the weather is nice, if you ask him to come out and practise with you for a bit and he’ll say yes 🤠

but actually 🤔 now that is think about it, if you guys had a pool in your back garden sakusa would definitely make the most of it

‘volleyball? really? we bought this expensive ass house with a pool which we can only use 4 out the 365.25 days of the year and you want to play volleyball? don’t you do that like..every work day.’

it’s all good!! whenever someone sends in an ask, i get an excuse to talk/write about one of my interests! really, it makes me so happy to be able to create content that people hopefully enjoy!! 💝💝💝

General:

How long will they last? - until the end of time, babey

How quickly did/will they fall in love? - it was love at first sight but then they started talking i do think it was some form of ~interest~ in one another at first sight, but then all that drama and lack of communication happened so they didn’t really allow themselves to even dream about the possibility of a relationship. HOWEVER! once lion joined rainbow and they talked their shit out like people who know how to cope, there was a period of a few months that is now referred to as The Four Months of Pining™, during which glaz did a lot of paintings where the subject (who usually bears an uncanny resemblance to doc or lion) is staring at something (or someone) longingly. he calls it his french period. when they finally get together, a LOT of money changes hands. and goes straight into sledge’s pocket (he was the only one who bet that it would take them this long). diana gets a brand new collar (handmade), bed (handmade), dish (handmade), and many new toys (some handmade, some store-bought. sledge’s craftsmanship can only get him so far)

How was their first kiss? - you know how the french are supposed to be super suave and confident??? and how gay people are trying their hardest but they’re just Not Good at things????? (i know these are stereotypes but stay with me). well, with their 5/8 french blood (i hc one of doc’s parents is fully algerian while the other is half french, half algerian), and their 4/4 gay blood, they have an 81.25% chance of success in matters of the heart. sadly, that 18.75% chance of failure came into play during this situation. picture it. doc and lion. romantic, home-cooked dinner. le festin is playing in the background. they’re holding hands over the table. suddenly, doc’s cat goes into labour. all hell breaks loose. lion is getting flashbacks to his son’s birth, so now he’s hyperventilating. doc carries him to the couch and turns on the fan so he can cool off and catch his breath, before carefully moving his cat, Rayie (arabic for gorgeous, pronounced rye-ah) to the living room in his handmade Birthing Box, then grabs a pile of blankets and a heat lamp and situates himself on the ground nearby so he can help her if she needs it. once the kittens are born (they’re twins!! Sadiqi is the boy, and Amirti is the girl!!!) doc makes sure they’re nice and warm and that Rayie is recovering, and gives her pets while she cleans her babies. once the happy family is all settled in for the night, doc walks over to the couch and just. lays down on top of lion. once he’s gotten over the adrenaline of the birth, he takes lion’s face in his hands and says “promise me you’ll be more calm if we ever decide to have kids” and gives him a BIG smooch while lion’s just short-circuiting like “does he know i have a son???? did i forget to mention my son?????? also what about these kittens??? are they not sufficiently childish to count as children????? DOES HE WANT KIDS????? does he want to marry me??????? wait why is he getting so clo-”

Wedding:

Who proposed? - lion. it was the day of their two year anniversary (yes i AM saying they got together the august after outbreak don’t @ me) and they were on vacation at doc’s family’s Secret Beach House. they were vibing on the balcony, watching the sunset, when lion suddenly clears his throat. doc turns to look at him and finds his boyfriend down on one knee, looking like he might flee to Bermuda. he’s reaching for something in his pocket. doc starts laughing. lion, completely misunderstanding his reaction, flushes and stammers out an apology. doc sees this, and immediately stops, though he’s still smiling gleefully as he catches lion by the biceps, then reaches into his own pocket and pulls the ring he was going to give olivier. they exchange rings, giggling like little kids, and spend the rest of the night making out on whatever surfaces are available.

Who is the best man/men? - for lion? montagne. (his son is the ring bearer and doc’s niece is the flower girl). for doc? rook. he’s so happy he gets to participate in his dad’s wedding

Who is the bride’s maid(s)? - for lion: finka. for doc: twitch

Who did the most planning? - both of them!! do you know how hard they worked to ensure the ceremony was valid in the eyes of both of their religions

Who was specifically not invited to the wedding? - lion’s parents. they tried to call him during the reception but doc’s grandma grabbed his phone and started cussing them out, talking about dishonor and how they tried to disown him so they’re not his parents anymore, and besides, his new family absolutely adores him, so really, it’s their loss. once she hangs up, she pulls lion into a hug and he calls her his favorite, if only, grand-mère

Who is on top? - who’s topping? lion. but sometimes doc gets bitchy so he gets to set the pace if you know what i mean

Who is the stricter parent? - god i wanna say both. like lion and his attachment to rules??? but doc and his Mom Friend energy????? but ig lion BUT HE’S NOT STRICT TO THE POINT HE’S A BUZZKILL OR ANYTHING HE’S JUST RESPONSIBLE (he will NOT allow his husband and son to go vandalize the property of some islamaphobic brits, as much as he agrees with the sentiment)

Who stops the kid(s) from doing dangerous stunts after school? - doc will only allow vandalism if it’s in the name of righteousness. meaning, he’ll allow their son to spray paint the walls of a goddamn walmart with shit like “eat the rich” and a portrait of robespierre and a guillotine, but it is a HARD NO on defacing places like the library or community center (unless he has a good reason to do so). lion spends his time praying and making sure his son knows which acts of civil disobedience are acceptable and which are distorting their goal

Who remembers to pack the lunch(es)? - doc. he (privately) dreams of retiring (eventually) and living out his lifelong dreams of being a househusband. so

Who is more likely to attend the PTA meetings? - it used to be lion out of necessity, but when people started asking about his “wife” he was really torn between telling them that he and his son’s mother separated, but now he has a partner and his son seems very happy about it. when doc finally attends a meeting with lion, people really struggle to hide their shock. a few clunky but well-meaning “we support you”’s and “we’re sorry for everything that’s been going on”’s later, doc has used his charm to make friends with literally everyone. from then on, he is on pta duty on behalf of lion and his ex

Who cried the most at graduation? - lion! his parents purposefully didn’t show at his, so it’s a big deal for him to show his son just how proud he is. doc tears up a little too, but manages to mostly keep it together so he can support lion, who spends most of the day heave-crying about how proud he is into his husband’s shoulder. gustave just pats him on the back and tells him that they’ll run out of donuts if they don’t get to the concession stand soon

Who is more likely to bail the child(ren) out of trouble with the law? - doc. civil disobedience, baby!! he has never been caught. lion fears the law after his youth, so he tries to avoid any visits to law enforcement. he also can’t stand to see his son behind bars

Cooking:

Who does the most cooking? - doc. househusband, remember?

Who is the most picky in their food choice? - doc, but only because he can be a bit of a spice supremacist. he has to get his ingredients from these very specific farms and markets or else his great grandmother will begin manifesting in their house to curse them

Who does the grocery shopping? - doc, bc he does NOT trust lion to not just sweep all of the microwave ramen and kraft mac n cheese into the cart then sprint to self-checkout

How often do they bake desserts? - whenever possible. doc and maestro live by the philosophy “don’t do anything halfway” if they’re going to go through the trouble of making a meal, it will have multiple courses.

Are they more of a meat lover or a salad eater? - doc is more of a salad eater but only for ease of consumption with halal laws. he adores filet mignon

Who is more likely to surprise the other(s) with an anniversary dinner? - lion! maestro enlists himself as assistant head chef after walking into the base’s kitchen one day to find lion covered in flour and lying facedown on the floor, crying

Who is more likely to sweep everything under the rug? Souji, but he knows Saito will catch him and get mad (and not even in the fun way), so he doesn’t even try.

Who stresses the most when guests are coming over? Saito is more invested in how the house looks, so he is always sure to give the house a once-over and enlist Souji’s help whether he cares or not.

Who found a dollar between the couch cushions while cleaning? Souji. He kept it.

Misc:

Who takes the longer showers/baths? Saito. It’s how he relaxes. Souji gets bored too easily to join him for the whole thing, but occasionally they’ll bathe together for the first amount of time.

Who takes the dog out for a walk? Absolutely no dogs allowed in this household, but Souji is more active in playing with the cats. This works perfectly because Souji tires them out, and then they come to Saito to sleep in his lap. (Often when he’s trying to do other things.)

How often do they decorate the room/house for the holidays? Souji is more into that sort of thing than Saito, so they compromise by either going all-out for a select few holidays or decorating a little bit for all of them. It changes per year based on their energy level.
