Ok, this isn’t gonna be canon to Soul Journey, but I had an idea.

I think it’d be really funny if Auberon (and y’know what, maybe Hara too) was part of the GSA before it fell apart, and was really good friends with Meta

So when he and Hara arrive in Dreamland during the events of the fic, there’d be a whole interaction that’s just Chill Greeting between the friends and Gala screaming in confusion.

Sorta like this:

Auberon: Oh, hey Meta Knight, long time no see

Ione: Hi Auberon. Didn’t think I’d see you again, how’ve you been

Galacta, losing her shit: YOU TWO KNOW EACH OTHER?????????

finally gonna make a ref sheet for this man!! repurposing an old sketch cuz I still generally agree with the design…I actually intended to render that old sketch but never did 😭

now here’s some never-before-revealed lore and headcanons!! (this all takes place in a story I’ve never created except in my head 💀 also some have been told, I’m just reiterating them):

-This is how LJ generally looks between the years 1817 to 1886. He was “born” in 1803, stayed with Isaac for one year, got stuck in the box for 13 years, and only started wearing bandages in 1817 once he became a target to the public. As he started getting more wounds, he found out that they would open up easily and opted to wear bandages most of the time.

-He can’t eat as he lacks a digestive system. Instead, he feeds on human interaction. The more positive the interaction, the better it is for him. Because he had such a poor relationship with humans during these years, he ends up looking starved. He’s quite weak in this state, and the only thing keeping him alive is his wit and his sharp nails for weapons.

-His limbs are black right above the connection of his joints (knees and elbows). The rest of his skin is white.

-His hair would be naturally curly, but due to improper care and the long length dragging it down, it ends up looking wavy and sometimes even straight, albeit very frizzy and/or greasy.

-In 1886, that’s when LJ and Lillian first meet (omg OC and canon??? gross 😰🤢). They create a pact, and he starts getting more positive interaction with humans. As he gets more “sustenance,” his wounds start to heal properly and he gets stronger. Unfortunately, most of his wounds have scarred over at this point and they remain on his body as it’s now recognized as “healthy” tissue. (Placement of scars will be in another post)

-Lillian is 23 when she first meets LJ.

-Before his strength improved, Lillian could actually beat LJ in an arm wrestling contest!! But after about a few months of being together, that was no longer the case. (Lillian’s ego was a little hurt, but it was inevitable 😞)

-Although it looks like it, he never actually felt starved. He doesn’t experience typical feelings like hunger or fulfillment.

-Sadly, he’ll never retain his curl pattern. Lillian tries very hard to get it back as she has her own experience with her hair, but she can never get more than a few curls on his head. She gives up at some point and just accepts his wavy/straight hair as is. LJ truly doesn’t care either way. If he had his way, he’d probably forget and never wash it again.

-the dickless look is on purpose!!! No reproductive system means no dick!! Yippee, no nsfw 🤗 Unless I feel freaky, which will most definitely happen…so if you ever see him with a dick, it’s just for my own nefarious purposes 😞

-When Lillian first found out how old LJ was, she said “wow, you could be my grandpa….” LJ didn’t take too kindly to that and scolded her like a grandpa.

-His body stopped aging once Isaac died. In this version, Isaac dies at the age of 21. LJ is physically around 5 years older than Isaac, so his physical age is stuck at around 26 (but it’s not rlly trustworthy as his body isn’t comparable to a typical human’s…I’d say it’s probably between 25-35 though)

This happened awhile back but I remembered it and I have to bitch about it somewhere so LOL I just wanna say I’m glad I was never too deep into species, I’ve enjoyed a few here and there and maybe made 5 myo of my own but that’s about it. One of the experiences I look back on that made me glad I wasn’t that invested is when I thought I’d try doing an art for a myo trade in the migs. I had someone dm me and not only did they ignore the actual art I was offering (I’m talking I was offering a chibi or two, maybe a thigh up or something) that bitch really had the audacity to offer me a common slot and then ask if I would be willing to make a whole ass reference sheet for it.

Of course I said no politely but I always look back and fucking cringe. Species people make it SO obvious they do not value the art and time of anyone they deem is a “nobody” because sure, my art isn’t the best, but in what world is someone going to make a whole ass ref for a common myo 💀 these people will be in their 20s lowballing artists because you don’t have a cult following that’ll pay $500 for a sketch. Anyways ig I just wanna say I wish species didn’t have a severe low balling and under appreciating artists problem, it’s sad the amount of people that would have eaten up that offer

need to value the artist until it's for an adopt then you see motherfuckers really throw out 20 fullbodies fully shaded for a tiny unshaded chibi headshot

that or offer a free arpg game then make them draw 10 illustrations to purchase a single common trait potion. makes people value their own art so little yet at the same time overvaluing popular people's art way too much causing this terrible disparity

Henry Bullock:

-I gave him a last name just right now have fun with that fact

-he was kidnapped 3 months prior to Elliot, originally being from Tortuga. He lived with his mom, a bartender, until the captain of the Black Mamba, Theo Brown, tried to touch Henry’s mom and he snapped back at him. (“That boy’s got spirit! How much do you take for him?”-T “He’s not for sale you moron”-H’s m “Okay, I’ll just kidnap him then”-T)

Extract from my creative writing for my English class, Elliot and Henry’s first meeting:

-He was medically trained by his mother, since he lived on Tortuga and was bound to be hurt or have someone he loved be hurt. Basically he needed those skills

-He was discovered tending to Elliot’s wounds one night, which deeply aggravated the captain who was very much into violence and very much a bad person

-he was. erm. killed in front of Elliot when she was 15. Theo made Henry walk the plank after discovering the nursing session between him and Elliot.

-Elliot and Henry were terribly close. Not in the romantic sense, but more in the familial sense. Henry was Elliot’s found family.

The crew (pre-Elliot being captain):

-Rascals. All of them.

-the Captain was the worst out of them. He was a violent, ruthless creature that took pleasure in torturing everyone around him. I despise him and hope you do too!

-The captain, Theo, actually ended up being killed by Elliot, but not without giving the later her eye and lip scars!

-Most of the crew is actually made up of kidnapped children (like Elliot) but learned the hard way not to disrespect their captain. They also had a twisted sense of respect for the guy.

The crew (post-Elliot being captain):

-Elliot fired all of the old crewmates, hiring new ones instead.

-most of the crew is made of people discriminated against or people that were kidnapped as children. Elliot would learn from sources that a village was invaded by a certain pirate crew and goes ahead to pillage the crew and get the children a better childhood (nothing will fix their trauma, but at least give them a slightly more loving home)

-The most prominent member of the crew is a redhead, Johanna ! She’s an overweight cook, previously working in a bar in Tortuga. How they came to meet? She is a fantastic cook, and Elliot went to her restaurant once (for funnies). After tasting such incredible food, he asked to see the chef. But people don’t like fat people 😡 so Elliot got angry, threatened every pirate in the establishment and hired Johanna as her cook! Since that Johanna’s had a crush on Elliot 💀

this is very rough and messy, but thank you for asking! Also I’d love for people to make ocs of the crew members! Go crazy with it and I will definitely draw any oc that is part of the crew! <333333
