ok heres the thing. no. not necessarily. my deranged hill to die on is that british food (nominally consisting of various meats in various pastries) can be SO fucking good and often my favourite thing to eat if cooked right. pies. pasties. roasted meats. various batter concoctions. redwall-ass food fr. unfortunately sometimes.....people just don't cook it well, i guess? undercooked and underseasoned. i WOULD say that there's this love of boiled vegetables and a perpetual terror of spice that grips the nation, but.....at the same time, your average british bloke 5 pints deep can consume a vindaloo that'd kill the average person, so......i just don't know. all or nothing, i guess?

scientists are still struggling to find an answer. i think my overall thesis is this: british food, if seasoned (as it should be!!!!) can be really really good. stop booing. i'm right. unfortunately, however, i've lived through one too many anaemic sunday roasts to fully attest to the consistency of the cooking skills of this country. sorry

in other news we've had an adolescent blue tounge move into the front of the house (it's found a good nook) and the little fella is pretty small for a blue tounge, at least the smallest i've seen out in the wild (our last place we were at had fuckign huge ones) so we reckon the bluey is pretty young. Can catch 'em sunbathing out the front from our door 'cause i don't think they can see us through the screen door. Tends to come out in the morning and sunbathe but usually disappears after/around midday ( i wonder if it looks for food or goes back to hiding. Pretty nice to see since they are territorial so one blue tounge means one blue-tongue and less likey to have other lizards about. just hope it realises not to come into the backyard where the dogs can get to it (it might've gone there the other day since the dogs were making a racket and learnt its lesson)

Valicer Multiamory Month, Day Twelve: Explaining/mapping the polycule (Running Into The Bullshit AU)

We've hit a fun one today in Multiamory March (as put on by @polyamships) -- "explaining/mapping the polycule!" A prompt all about figuring out how to explain the various relationships within your group of partners, metamours, friends, and what-have-yous --

And the minute I saw it, I was like, "Oh, I have to do this with the Running Headlong Into The Bullshit mega-polycule." XD Running Headlong Into The Bullshit, for those of you not in the know, is my name for the ship that involves not only Victor, Victoria, Emily, Alice, and Smiler, but also Christopher White, my OC based off the White Knight from Through The Looking Glass (with his name and general looking coming from Christopher Lloyd's portrayal of the character in the Hallmark Alice In Wonderland); Richard Hatter (a humanized version of the AMA/A:MR Hatter with a better attitude); and Preston Garvey and Piper Wright from Fallout 4 (two of my favorite companions in the game, and the two I've romanced during my playthrough with my Sole Survivor version of Victor). The ship name itself comes from this post on how each OT3 has the basic roles of "running headlong into the bullshit, pretends to not want to run headlong into the bullshit but secretly loves it, and does not actually want to run headlong into the bullshit but is pulled along by the other two," and my addition about how Victor keeps getting involved with people who want to run into the bullshit. XD It's not really an AU so much as a silly concept I came up with once and occasionally think about (I know it would be an "all modern day college students AU" and that's about it), but given it involves a nine-person polycule, I thought it was perfect for this prompt.

So! Without further ado, I give you Smiler, Richard, and the rest of the polycule explaining their dynamics to an unnamed questioner, who may or may not be regretting asking. :p Enjoy!

Alice and I are both romantically involved with Victor, but our own relationship is more on the queerplatonic side – that’s why our connecting line is green instead of red. And over here we have the ‘Everdortmack’ triangle – that’s Victor, Victoria, and Emily.”

“We had to use our last names instead of our firsts, for, well, obvious reasons.”

“Right – they are in a proper triad relationship, romantic all around. And here we have the – did you guys ever come up with a name for your threesome?”

“Our names are kind of hard to combine, Yellow. Trust me, I’ve tried.”

“I kind of liked Christopher’s suggestion of ‘The Press, The Past, and the Pale’ – though I think we need a better P-word for Victor.”

“Pale does fit me…”

“We’ll go with the ‘Triple P’ triangle for now. Anyway, yes, this is another triad with Victor, Preston, and Piper. So far, so simple. But now things get interesting, because Preston is also involved with Victoria–”

“We’ve only been on a couple of dates so far, but it’s been very nice.”

“And Piper is involved with Emily!”

“Our dates have been a little more physical. ...DANCING! WE’VE GONE DANCING! STOP LAUGHING!”

“No. And Victoria is also romantically connected to Christopher here–”

“What can I say, I’ve always loved a proper lady.”

“And Richard is involved with Emily!”

“Our dates are not physical at all because I’m asexual.”

“Richard!”

“And overall, we’re all in what you might call a ‘garden party’ polycule – we’re all on good terms, but not all of us hang out together all the time.”

“Mostly because it’s incredibly difficult to coordinate dates for nine people, and we all have a lot going on in our own lives.”

So watching the trailer again (what's new) and uh

Who is this, I wonder..? They're a mage, use (what looks to be) lightning magic, an elf, but they're pretty much the only person whose face isn't shown, and evidently they're pretty powerful so they're seemingly important

Like, I don't want to get anyone's hopes up (including mine) bc I don't want to feel bad, and they 100% could be someone I've just somehow completely forgotten, but whoever they are, they're important enough to be there, but why only for like 1.5s at the fastest bit of the trailer and all? Bc I watched it a bit slower this time, then sped it up and that whole section just flies by

I mean, they could be a mage associated with veil jumpers or the shadow dragons maybe, but why hide who they are, then? It's the anonymity that's getting to me, and the fact there's already somebody else in the trailer who looks pretty similar (although I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't the same people either)

I dunno it's just piqued my curiosity a bit lol

All that to say, if it's whom I am being delulu and think it is, the implications would be interesting at least, because... 👀👀

What I'm about to say is going to sound absolutely fucking insane but I need someone to hear me out on this one and unfortunately you are that person. Delete this if you want but I need someone to know what was revealed to me via divine intervention. This is gonna be a long one

I, as a cis boy, think the optimal strategy is to transition into a femme-presenting trans man or a lesboy or whatever you want to call it.

Now, you may be thinking, "what the fuck????" That's fair. I'm gonna try and break it down for you anyway.

I don't see anything wrong with being a boy. I'm fine as it is. However, I think being a girl could potentially be neat. So I transition into a girl, get estrogen and bottom surgery and whatnot, and bada-bing, bada-boom.

However, I can already convincingly pass as a girl. My voice is pretty androgynous and I have what some would consider a feminine build. Narrow shoulders, long hair, the works. I could still easily go by he/him even if I took estrogen because I'm already pretty androgynous.

"Why transition in the first place?" you might be asking, and I have a very simple reason for this. I want to be a lesbian. I literally cannot picture myself to be intimate with a woman as a man, and I've learned a lot about dating women from the best: lesbians. I want to follow in their footsteps and idolize women in sapphic doodles like the many lesbians before me. I also think I'm overdue for a much-needed hardware update.

Now, why would I still want to pass as a man? Well, as much as I love boobs, I don't think they suit me. Maybe a little bit, but I don't want em too big, y'know? It would also make most social interactions unchanged. I'm still just some guy. I like that energy about me. Also I got some pretty conservative family members. As long as they aren't trying to pull down my pants, I'd still be the same person to them. I'd still be the same person to me, too. I also wouldn't have to change clothes. I already wear what some might mistake for a dysphoria hoodie because it's a pretty thick and large jacket. But I am not giving up those pockets for shit. Also I don't think my skull shape passes too well? It kinda does but in an uncanny valley kinda way. My face can pass but I'm not 100% on the skull.

And, even if I transition, I can still be forcefemmed, but now with so many different layers. I'd still have that femmable egg energy. I could make the detrans kink gender-affirming. I'm still a boymoding trans girl, which is like one of the prime targets from what I've gathered (mainly from this blog). There's so many layers to it, so many things that could be done. I'm starting to think this section is a little too horny for this blog. I can't really tell.

I have contemplated this for roughly six hours and this is what I have. This solution satisfies all the conflicting ideals I have about being trans. I don't think it'd fix transphobia or anything, but I'd probably end up meeting one bigot who thinks I'm trans anyway so I might as well, eh?

Well, I guess I do still have a few problems, such as actually having to care about my looks, the expenses, shaving, ect. But other than that I'd say it's pretty airtight. This might be the new meta
